US Tanks Are Rolling Across Latvia
Having grown used to images and clips of "Russian" tanks rolling through Ukraine, crossing borders, and generally creating havoc, we thought the following clip was of note. With NATO and Russia rattling sabres ever louder, the site of a trainful of American tanks passing through Latvia will, we are sure, do nothing to calm both sides.
As LiveLeak reports,
According to the representative of national armed forces of Latvia, till December 6 transportation of heavy military equipment of the first cavalry division of army of the USA from Adazhi and Estonia was carried out to Lithuania.

Jane McCain and Victorious Nuland in the lead tank.
the Russian Dance.. http://hedgeaccordingly.com/2014/12/why-russia-dances-to-beijings-tune-o...
This will not end well.
Yo .. you old blood and guts OBLAMEO ! .... mah man !
I look forward to day when I see glorious Paul Krugman, head exposed through open tank hatch, saluting and rolling to front line.
And Lloyd Blankfein; after all, those tanks are there to protect Goldman Sachs investments.
But more precisely, Monsanto, Cargill, Chevron and others.
and LOL..
Russia has 15,500 tanks.
.. red dude - do some f'n research.. they all had huge deals with Ukraine prior to the change of mind to align with the Customs Union and the US sponsored coup.
Yup. And watch the Air Force retire the A-10 Thunderbolt in favor of F-16's.
380+ miles from Latvia to Moscow.
US Army now staffed with illegal aliens, gays, women & affirmative-action hires?
Good luck with that, ZATO.
You do understand the point of cannon fodder, do you not?
This West / Russia conflict seems like the last resort reset button. From the PTB standpoint it's tails I win heads you lose. ie: Russia backs down the West wins. Russia starts a hot war and the West uses it as an excuse to pull the plug on the world economy and blame Russia. West wins again (though with a bit more more 'collateral damage' I would assume).
Only problem is that when this one goes hot, it goes really hot. But maybe that's the whole objective.
What tanks? I saw several Bradley AFVs and some trucks but no tanks.
good point. anything with tracks is a tank to the msm i guess.
You beat me to it, although the article verbiage does mention US Calvary. Bad headline. However, it's a worse situation in my book. This means larger numbers of boot an the ground, which is never a good thing.
"I just can't help but wonder how much more provocation the Russians will tolerate."
Oh...plenty fucking much if we're talking about NATO (US) tanks rolling on rails in a NATO (Latvia) member state.
Cant show grieving widows and orphans of tank crews unless you get them near the Russian boarder. Now if we can just get some smoke grenades and that guy from the daily mail to tweet something the plan will be under way.
American kids getting blown up and maime to support the illegal aliens freedoms and endless govt benefits.
The Russkies had better keep in mind that Canada is on our side. That's right -- Canada.
They've been trying, but...
http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-f-16-gun-pod-that-tried-to-shoot-do...
lol...it'd be like Michael Dukakis.
Only better ;-)
That one "miscellaneous" is very sketchy.
Good luck with those shitty Bradleys and the not much better M1A1s. The Russian Kornet anti-tank missiles and Grad MLRS will pop those things open very easily.
Do not let your kid join the military unless you want them dead or maimed. Good luck fight the RUssians in a ground war.
As a matter of fact, those Bradleys are much worse than the M1A1 tank (at least that one was a tank...). Watch "Pentagon Wars", and weep...
Why does everybody think we need to go tactical. Read the article. We're already squeezing them until their eyeballs pop with a limited set of economic sanctions.
Those M2s are just a tripwire force like the old Berlin Brigade or the remnant of US forces in Korea. Crossing over to the NATO side of the line will automatically involve US casualties. That was the whole point of NATO in the first place: Keep the Germans down, the Americans in, and the Russians out.
The only war that can come out of this is one where the Russians want to come in. Nobody wants to invade Russia. The food sucks.
Your sanctions are hardly making any dent . It's the currency manipulation .
Your sanctions are hardly making any dent . It's the currency manipulation .
And oil price manipulation.
Fixed it for ya...
.
Europeans would be extremelly naive, borderline delusional to hold this kind of views, considered the data at hand. Can not really be said of 'americans' as their habit is to fabricate a fantasy world to mediate between them and reality.
Rare moment of agreements with you on that one. This typical NATO behavior of shaking their tiny pee-pee in a dick waving contest is their maximal ability to agress against Russia. NATO invades Latvia and turns it into a parking lot for junk in order to 'send a message'. That is the extent of NATO capability.
So no war here. Putin has no desire to support a kingdom of potato trolls. The Latvian potato is not in jeopardy from Russia.
Another agreed point. NATO cannot defeat Russia. This is known even to NATO.
http://russia-insider.com/en/history_military/2014/12/06/09-38-29pm/nato...
"Europeans would be extremelly naive, borderline delusional to hold this kind of views...". Agree, and I think we generally don't
there are three things that are hurting Russia at the moment: the "weak oil price" that Saudi Arabia unleashed (Targets: primarily Iran, then Russia, then shale and frackers), the "strong dollar" which includes migration towards the US, and lastly the sanctions
I'd go as far as thinking that the sanctions are nearly irrelevant, compared to the first two
Europeans could help to de-escalate the hostilities by taking responsibility for their part in causing them and escalating them.
Better to admit to mistakes and atone for them than obediently complying with the US folly of making Russia a scapegoat for US foreign policy failures.
TheFourthStooge-ing, In principle, I fully agree. But we might differ on the details. Take for example any support for groups in Ukraine that want to join the EU. Do you count them as responsible for the escalation, too? Is peaceful demonstration for political goals included in the things where everybody should keep out? I find it a though question
On the other side... Poland. I personally still suspect their intelligence services to be all over Ukraine, together with the American ones. Question is, how do you disentangle that?
Russia could help, by pointing out which european services are where, and they, in the middle of this giant propaganda war, did stage some attacks on Polish targets, most notably by releasing the discussions that the former Polish PM and FM had. You know, those where they complained that serving too much American interests was not working well for them
But one thing nobody can change that fast: Polish and Eastern European feelings towards Ukraine and Russia. They all know each other very well, as you know
meanwhile, some Europeans are helping to de-escalate the hostilities and taking responsability: the OSCE bunch
or the Dutch. That plane's casualties? It's the equivalent of a 9/11, if you take population vs deaths as a measure
as a further wrinkle in the whole thing, look at the new composition of that mandatory "summit" of head of governments that we call EU Council, that steers the EU org
it's new (actually a somewhat glorified secretary, yet with some power over the agenda) "President" is the same former Polish PM, Donald Tusk
meanwhile, when the same council gathers the Foreign ministers, it is headed by the former Italian Foreign minister
so you have one "Russian Hawk" in one setting counterbalanced by one "Russian Dove" in the lesser, but technically more active setting
so in a way, we both distrust the Russian Bear and love the Russian Teddy, depending from the aspect we face
Especially in tanks with desert camouflage. Why don't they just paint a big red bull’s eye on them?
Camo is in right now, dude. We can't have our boys embarrassed by any faux pas that could end up on TMZ.
Yeah, but it's OK when WE do it. Because we wear the white hats. OK, maybe not white so much now, more like gray. Dark charcoal gray.
And I think those are Bradley Fighting Vehicles (APCs), not battle tanks.
ND,
You are exactly correct. Those are Bradleys. I was a driver and gunner on them a few years back. Still a fighting vehicle, but certainly not the best tank on the plantet.
read this;doesn't add up.
NATO will eventually surround Russia completely, and force Putin's hand, then it will be Russias fault...
Even as a patriotic person for my country, I cannot ignore this... this is THREATENING!
We almost started WW3 for less with the Cuban\Turkey missile crisis
NATO cannot surround shit. They are out of money, all of them... That's how empires fall.
I agree, However, this will be about a "spark" ...then being broke won't matter...
Some of the European armies are laughable. They are unionized and have more troops in the band corps and other non-combat jobs. It is like a make work career like...the US military.
American kids - dying and getting maimed to protect the freedoms of illegal aliens and their endless govt benefits.
wrong! they can print that shit up until your mercenaries, who are the only ones keeping up the faith in USD, will understand it's confetti, which they never will.
You should read more history. In the Roman Empire the praetorian guard, in charge of emperor's security, was paid in gold not in trinket currency as most Romans. Whenever an emperor would try to screw with that pay, he would invariably end up assasinated. His place would be then taken by the chief of his guard...
From the sounds of those tracks they will be lucky to around the block!
I think at last count, Russia has about 16,500 tanks. This is merely a symbolic move, nothing more. Target practice if anything "real" kicked off.
I suspect that modern tank-busting aircraft, and one-man rocket-launchers, have made tank-warfare as obsolete today as trench-warfare was made obsolete by tanks.
I suspect that modern tank-busting aircraft, and one-man rocket-launchers,
Looks like "Tank girl" downvoted you....
What tank busting aircraft?
We retired the A-10 with it's 30mm DU penetrators.
The 20mm tungsten stuff might be good for taking out some APV's but they arent going to penetrate Russian reactive armor.
Apologies to Tank Girl, but it looks like Apache helicopters can bust tanks too...
https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100424172017AACaAvz
The Rooskies must have similar tank-busting capacity.
How much money does it cost the US taxpayer to shift these lumps of metal round the world?
The Apache is a awful war machine, like most helicopters. Anything that flies can shoot it down. Check the Apache losses in last Irak war. The Russians are using the Su-25 as their main tank buster. That's an aircraft nowhere close to retirement...
haha, cost, I dont think that word means what you think it means in this situation
I wonder how many American kids want to die for Obala, Boner, Reid and Feinstein plus the Blue Star? Hopefully not that many.
Not to mention mines and the CBU-97 and it's evolutions. Armor is a rolling coffin.

Is that all? LOL!
One missile, that's all it takes.
Yes indeed Dr. E
That's all it will take! Let's just hope the American military is aware of that fact!!!

What year did Latvia join the Republic?
1991 (NATO)
2004 (March) a payback "gift" on 1st anniversary of Latvia (and a host of other nations) having joined "the coalition of the willing"
one token ambulance
The good news is if your kid gets his limbs blown off they will give him a wheelchair, a dog and ObamaCare.
Bradlys no Abrams m1 on it. Still in desert camo?
Looks like stuff coming out of FT Hood, TX. It would be in desert cammo, that is the standard pattern at FT Hood.
Ain't coming from ft Knox that's for sure. Only tanks there are the museums. Unless the marines come up from ft Benning .
I guess now they will turn the U.S. to glass and pump all of our oil.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXGa__ECvnM
World War I and II were turned from local scraps into global fireballs by countries guaranteeing the borders of other countries.
US tanks in Latvia will do exactly the same, repeating the same idiocies of 100 years ago.
JFHC! Where's the fucking 'tanks are rolling across Latvia' rally? These fucking Wall Street cunts are such a bunch of chicken shits...
I appreciate your reserve. Of course they are far worse than you say.
I try to keep it civil, for the kids...
Here we go, a replay of the Ukraine sniper script. We *friendly fire* some folks.
M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, M577 Command and Control Vehicle, some fuelers and cargo transport. Looks like a TAC (Tactical Action Center) and TOC (Tactical Operations Center) package for a battalion.
So no tanks. Figures.
Nope. The biggest guns are the 25mm cannons from the Brads. They do carry 4 TOW AT missiles that can take out most Russian armor (They are no Hellfires but...). I also saw an M113 APC and could not identify the dark green vehicles. Almost looked like MP Armored wheel vehicles but, not sure.
Abrams were sent to Estonia, along with Bradleys, in October

Smolensk to Moscow Highway can be a bitch. Just ask Guderian.
The problem with Russian tanks is that they are more like ants than tanks. They tend to just gang up on you and not give a fuck. Guderian had to learn this the hard way.
Put McCain, Lindsey Graham and Feinstein out in front to lead like Pickett's Charge. F Congress and F Obola.
.
They'd be fragged by 'friendly fire' before they got within ten miles of the Russian border.
You gotta love how this stuff comes out ten minutes before market close.
I might dip a toe in for a scalp.
Antiquated technology they have just so they can possibly be's struck by a Russian attack. They are sitting ducks. They want them to be hit.
Shows the sick, demented pschopathic pervs leading us to death and destruction. Won't be a pretty sight if they ever get it going.
We never learn...
Hey "Army Strong"!
The comptroller of the currency just found another $200,000 for survival kits.
Can't cover all you guys stationed in Eastern and Western Europe, so their advice is to "duck and cover" when those SS-18s start there descent over your heads in retaliation for the last one you will ever start like it again! Sure hope those ABMs work better than what happened on the U.S.S. Donald Cook earlier this year in the Black Sea!
Might I suggest an AWOL kind of Xmas holiday for you and the family to close out 2014!

Well, when Putin has had enough and launches his nuclear first strike, I hope that a dozen or so of those are headed into Israel.
Don't forget about Tel Aviv Central (London) and Tel Aviv West (NYC).
There are literally offices filled with elite bankers who are jacking off to the idea of an all out war with Russia. They dream about it night and day....hoping for the chance to get PAID while people are killing each other so they can keep their fuck machine open as long as humanly possible.
I bet they watch old clips of WWII and just go to town on themselves.
Ah, the good ole days.
"I bet they watch old clips of WWII and just go to town on themselves"
Are you suggesting I might have a problem?
I didnt see any hybrid Prius tanks on that victory train
Just some dinosaur powered Bradley AFV.
Hopefully they are firing the new grass fed green ammo vs that awful General Dynamics OTS 25mm APSD-T stuff.
I didnt intent to fund WWIII thinking we were going to use earth depleting resources. I want a refund.

I don't mean to be a dick, but...
A couple weeks ago, a map like this one was trotted out and declared to be a harbinger of WWIII.
Then a few days ago, videos of Russian Fighters off the coast of Norway... over six hundred miles from the nearest Russian base... were declared to be a non-event because they didn't actually overfly Norway.
Now NATO fighters on a base, the nearest of which is two hundred miles from Russia, is presented as a harbinger of WWIII again.
Well which is it?
Is sending your military to someone else's border a harbinger of armageddon or not?
The inconsistency is glaring.
The 2008 NATO Bucharest summit’s announcement that Ukraine and Georgia would eventually join the organisation infuriated Putin, who warned NATO leaders that further expansion would be a threat to Russia. Two days later, in a closed-door speech leaked to the accompanying media, he reportedly addressed U.S. President George W. Bush directly: “You understand, George, Ukraine is not a state. What is Ukraine? One part is eastern Europe. The other part, and a significant one, was donated by us”. According to the Russian newspaper Kommersant, Putin then “very transparently hinted that if Ukraine was accepted into NATO, it would cease to exist.
Kommersant, 7 April 2008.

The U.S. military had better pull the plug on this criminal shitshow posing as a legitimate government before the nukes fly.
Didn't you know? Obummer, under instructions from his handlers, has been purging the top military brass for quite some time now. A new and more 'reliable' cadre has been installed.

Standing behind the telegraph pole on the left and waving to the tanks as they roll by is our dear friend the Latvian Potato Troll. Imagine that (!) ;-)
Viedolokis_LV can die in peace now
The Yankee's have been pulling this for shit over 250 years:
http://jamesperloff.com/2014/12/09/the-american-revolution-part-i-the-se...
No tanks there. The larger armored vehicles are Bradley Fighting Vehicles, the smaller armored vehicles are armored cars like the British MK2 Ferret. The others are tankers and support vehicles.
They all burn, right? K. ;-)
Even after scraping their obsolete tanks, the Russians have over 15,000 modern tanks they could roll into Europe. With all the new ''NATO countries" the US has about 1 tank in Europe for every 50 km of front. I can't count German tanks as the Germans have instead been making Mercedes to ship to the Middle East and China. And I cannot count French tanks because they only run in reverse. And I cannot count Italian tanks because they already come with white flags.
Viedolokis_LV can die in peace now . Uncle sam is here .
tanks, carriers, bodies, et al, all dinosaurs now. orbital targeting (utilizing "the Bears" ) of nukes all that matters. it'll be all over relatively quickly and it'll be ugly.
Poland is already a CIA/Masaad heavily influenced country. WUkraine is now CIA/Masaad. The citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia need to be even more worried about the infuence these troops stationed in their countries will cause and how the CIA/Masaad start covertly taking political control.
Not sure what is happening in Belarus but the politicians in Sweden have largely been coopted, although the people of Sweden may not be competely on board. But then the people of Sweden were brainwashed into opening their borders and destroying their culture. Also the Masaad controled politicians in Sweden are making noise about needing to join NATO for the countries "protection".
These movements are to drive home the seperation of that country from Russia and to help neutralize any internal support for Russia in those countries. More so than to fight Russia, but then the installation of both offensive and defensive missile systems in those countires are part of the plan.
There is no danger of Russian response. Putin will not fight, he plans to negotiate away Russia's resources for the benefit of the Russia elite once Russia fails economicly.
Poland isn't even a country - at best I'd consider it a buffer zone where the great powers do stuff too awful to do at home.
There is no limit to the amount of Goy that the Zionist banksters and Greater Israel are willing to sacrifice for lucre, pipelines and Lebensraum.

I see Neocons swinging from lamposts.
Can't happen soon enough. These f*ckers won't be happy till they've started a war with Russia. Of course they - and theirs - will never be within a thousand miles of any fighting.
The US is actually raping Latvians in the ass while they’re complaining that some Russians, at some point, might possibly, contemplate an invasion of some sort…maybe…
All lubricants are generously shipped from Langley.
The description below the videoclip states that these armored cavalry vehicles were heading south to Lithuania, which would mean that they are being transported away from the frontline.

are the tan ones from the other wars we are fighting in the middle east? I guess there will be alot of green paint needed to cover that tan.
Psst - if you are heading for Ukraine you better have WHITE paint - at least until April!
I'm so glad the US has money for this, while at home a record number of children are homeless with no medical care. Oh, wait a minute, I forgot that caring for your own country is bleeding heart Socialism.
Better to spend the money destabilizing other countries.
And if fighting breaks out, just 'where' will NATO get the fuel to drive around in these bad boys? Russia? Russia's new friend - Iran? A pipeline through Syria? Or from collapsing shale oil producers in the US?
"military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy" - Henry Kissinger ZATO Mac Daddy
These may be dinosaurs but these same dinosaurs rolled through Morgan County, Utah, USA just over a month ago. They were on a train of about 200 tanks. About every 20th tank had medical signs on it and there were a few sand colored ambulances too. Most were sand colored but about one sixth of the tanks were dark green camo. The tanks we saw and the tanks in the video are the same or even smaller. I thought they were headed for a bone yard somewhere. Guess not. How are the world's citizens going to stop the insanity? Plus there a spot in Nevada called Wimar Place that's been getting systematically pulverized every day for months now. Something is going on out there. I'm used to strange doings out on what we call the West Desert, ie all of Nevada and the Utah gunnery range, so something is not good.
Thanks BouncingCat! You're right about them being Bradley and Ferrets, or very similar, military vehicles are not my specialty. I notice Saudi Arabia uses both, so I'd suspect fuel is not much of an issue, but then even more questions arise.
If you like tanks, check out the movie "Fury". Thanks to North Korea you don't even have to go to the theater. What a horrible way to die (burned alive inside a tank).
For the Armor buffs out there:
http://www.fredoneverything.net/M1.shtml
From The Sharp End, an excellent book about soldiers in World War II:
"A tank that is mortally hit belches forth long searing tongues of orange flame from every hatch. As ammunition explodes in the interior, the hull is racked by violent convulsions and sparks erupt from the spout of the barrel like the fireballs of a Roman candle. Silver rivulets of molten aluminum pour from the engine like tears...When the inferno subsides, gallons of lubricating oil in the power train and hundreds of pounds of rubber in the tracks and bogey wheels continue to burn, spewing dense clouds of black smoke over the funeral pyre."
Not the stuff of recruiting posters. These men do not know of it, not really. Armies don't read. Even the officers have never seen the horror of a burning tank. Fire is the hideous, unspeakable nightmare of armor. So many things burn in a tank: ammunition, fuel, hydraulic fluid vaporized by 1,500 pounds of pressure. The crews don't always get out. Hatches jam, the wounded can't move, sheer panic and agony prevent escape.
This US heavy weaponry is to keep Latvia down and quiet. The third of Latvia's population are ethnic Russians. These American tanks will be used to genocide Russians in Latvia just like NATO tanks are used to genocide Russians in Ukraine.
Latvian economy took a huge hit due to the Russia's sanctions. It looks like it's going to collapse very soon. Latvia is the next to have the US sponsored government coup and a civil war.
Yes, the EU (actually the whole of Europe) is fucked.
By the time the Germans initiated the Kursk offensive, their force amounted to around 777,000 men, 2,451 tanks and assault guns (70 per cent of the German armour on the Eastern Front), and 7,417 guns and mortars.[71][93][o]
I doubt a hundred tanks will bother the Russians too much. When will these belligerent fools see sense?
And at the end, one lone Medical vehicle. Kudos for keeping it real.
I think I'll take the money I took out of the market Monday and spend it on screwing the Russian girls I see in that ad of "CharmingDate.com" I see just to the left of the you tube of the Bradley Fighting Vehicles going to Russia through Latvia......my wife won't mind.....she wants war.....
Is that Vlad invading yet another country?
Good grief....
We need folks skilled at talking a drunk, shirtless Vlad down from a building ledge.
Anyone...anyone??
So many Putin bots here. Are you really that stupid that you think Latvia is trying to invade Russia?
The difference is that The Baltic state are members of NATO, and welcome (actually ask for) additional NATO support. Ukraine is no longer a Warsaw Pact state, and does not welcome Russian troops on its soil. Try to get that point before insinuating silly things ...
Watching this video I counted only 11 tanks. ALL of which had DESERT camouflage; not very useful in the forests and fields of Eastern Europe.
Probably heading back to a US base in Germany?
This article is just a bunch of unnecessary hype.
