GOP To "Roll The Dice" With Cromnibus Vote In Minutes, "No Official Plan B"

Tyler Durden's picture

With just over 3 hours left until a completely unexpected government shutdown, what was supposed to be a token vote (as we called it), ended up being yet another debacle for House republicans under Boehner, when it turned out - literally in the last second - that the republicans do not have the required votes.

So here is what happens next:

As for the vote, it will take place momentarily:

And yet...

Fuck Boehner and his back room deals.

SIXTEEN HUNDRED PAGES!!!...it funds ObamaCare, funds Barry's Border Babies...everything and shit you don't even want to know about.

Cuz...they have to pass it, so we can THEN see whats in it.

"To be clear, Section 309 provides the first statutory authority for the acquisition, retention, and dissemination of U.S. persons’ private communications obtained without legal process such as a court order or a subpoena. The administration currently may conduct such surveillance under a claim of executive authority, such as E.O. 12333. However, Congress never has approved of using executive authority in that way to capture and use Americans’ private telephone records, electronic communications, or cloud data." - Congressman Justin Amash

Good for him. According to Ron Paul he was one of only 10 that voted against the 'new Cold War with Russia' bill too. But seriously, does this really matter? All they close is some open air parks and a few other things to piss people off. Rest assured, the NSA is still operating, and I'm sure the drones wil keep flying in the Middle East, and those SS, food stamps, farm subsidies, etc will keep flowing. Govt shut down, what a farce

Then fucking even further with unconstitutional abridgment of our rights and freedoms.

Fuckin Di-Fi...lol...this is the bitch that wants to tell us what a reporter is, who is entitled to free speech & press, who then has no problem unleashing the government on us to pick through our texts, conversations and email but becomes frothing-at-the-mouth enraged when they do it to her.

"Why...I'm a senator! I've sat on the Senate Intelligence Politburo before you were born! I get regular reports from the CIA's black sites! I'm to be trusted! (Wait...wut?)

As an aside (just cuz this ALSO pisses me off) heres a piece that describes fully what propaganda looks like when you read it and most don't even realize it:

Gainesville, FL -- Officials with the Gainesville Police Department are offering a reward to anyone with information that can help them recover two stolen guns.

Police say a handgun and a department-issued M16 rifle were taken from a patrol car parked outside an officer's home in Northeast Gainesville. The weapons were taken from the trunk of the car, but police say they were secured properly.

The handgun is a glock model 27  with a serial number of DPC333. The rifle, with serial number 261968 that's been converted to a semi-automatic weapon."

Anyone notice something odd here?

A policeman has "a rifle" in his trunk. A citizen has an "assault weapon" in his trunk, even though they are the same thing.

If that had happened to a citizen, they would be arraigned on some charges, like conspiracy to commit terrorist acts. And how does one "convert" a rifle to make it semi-automatic? That would seem more convoluted than it would be worth.

At a boring conference today, an informal conversation was started about firearms. While we were debating the merits of the 300 WinMag, a 21-year old eavesdropper asked, "Are people really allowed to have those guns? Why would anyone need something like that?" I fear that the brainwashing AG Holder spoke of is bearing its rotten fruit.

lol...you're absolutely right....apparently the state controlled media want that ignorant 21yr old eavesdropper to believe that the M16 is sold as a muzzle loading-single shot rifle that must be then "converted" to semi or select fire and they also want him to believe that "securing it" in a car trunk, having a lock that can be defeated by the common slotted screwdriver is perfectly acceptable because he's a cop, while we (in some jurisdictions) would be hounded to the ends of the earth by some idiot bureaucrat/prosecutor for leaving it in our car trunk overnight.

Perhaps we should all buy those funky lights to go on top, to give our vehicles added security ;-)

When you hear most people talk about the government, they use terms like wasteful, ignorant, self-serving, so one would think the masses would dance in the streets and scream, “Yes, shut the f***ing thing down, and leave it shut!” But they don’t, because millions are in fear of losing their handouts, and that is the only reason.  Every special interest group, i.e. AARP, calls their members and tells them to call congress or they will lose the Social Security checks, food stamps, etc.

With millions dependent now and forever more, on government largeness and most with no savings, the fear of a shutdown is more than they can handle. try to tell them about budget deficits and $18T in debt and they don’t know what the f*** you are talking about and don’t care. So long as the check arrives each month. Many large pension funds will soon need bailouts or the checks will stop for retirees; nobody gets it. They only care about the newest I-Phone features and dancing ‘With The Stars’. Austerity? No way! They deserve the collapse which will eventually come.

Freedom, Liberty, Equality, and Justice for all. Not foreign or European wars. We were formed not as a Military republic. We hold that all nations can be sovereign and chose their own government... free from US covert action to overthrow the government and suppress the workers or unions.

dubbed “CROmnibus” as it is a combined continuing resolution (CR)[1] and Omnibus spending bill

So again US Congress gives up the US Constitutional Powers
- Budget Powers
- Legislative Powers to Lobbyists & President
- War Powers to Lobbyists & President

An omnibus bill is a proposed law that covers a number of diverse or unrelated topics. Omnibus is derived from Latin and means "for everything".

The "Great Deception!!"

- MSM reports today it is $1 Trillion Dollars
- But actually closer to $3.5 Trillion since:
- MIC = $900 Billion
- MEDICARE/MEDICAID = $1 Trillion
- Social Security = $1 Trillion

And oh don't let's look at the Corruption, racketeering, Organized Crime represented in the Continuing Resolution & Onmibus Bills... Enabling US Corporate Monopolies, the Monopoly Banking System... and Corruption of Politics through Money.

---

- Foreign Policy
- Military Global Footprint, US MIC Perception by the greater world, Policy on Dirty Wars
- Domestic Policy & Domestic Spying
- Federal Budget is a nightmare...exponential growth wo a budget or congressional signatures
- Jobs, Compensation, Economy, cost of Tech Schools & College, Cost of Health Care
- Monopoly control over credit & money creation
- Loss of state of Justice
- Prevalence of Fraud, Waste, Abuse, no prosecutions, Socializing the risk & losses of key industries

Deal with Reality... is very broad, eh?

From our dear friends at Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyber_Intelligence_Sharing_and_Protection_Act

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybersecurity_Information_Sharing_Act

"CISPA has been criticized by advocates of Internet privacy and civil liberties, such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the American Civil Liberties Union, Free Press, Fight for the Future, and Avaaz.org, as well as various conservative and libertarian groups including the Competitive Enterprise Institute, TechFreedom, FreedomWorks, Americans for Limited Government, Liberty Coalition, and the American Conservative Union. Those groups argue CISPA contains too few limits on how and when the government may monitor a private individual’s Internet browsing information. Additionally, they fear that such new powers could be used to spy on the general public rather than to pursue malicious hackers.[10][11] CISPA had garnered favor from corporations and lobbying groups such as Microsoft, Facebook, AT&T, IBM, Apple Inc. and the United States Chamber of Commerce, which look on it as a simple and effective means of sharing important cyber threat information with the government"

The US government might shut down for a few hours? Ohhhh! Scary! Lions and tigers and bears.

The only thing that happened the last time the government shut down was that Boehner quickly caved. And the repubs won big in the next election cycle even though everyone in the media had declared that the shutdown was a disaster for them.

The bill has a partial repeal of Dodd-Frank allowing banks to engage in some more risky activities. It deserves to fail. But unfortunately, the repubs will probably add more "bank candy" to next year's funding bill.
