Flights are still landing at Heathrow now. Smells like bullshit to me considering the tiny distances between airports in the UK.
More strange is the complete lack of planes over Birmingham and the entire West Midlands despite having an international airport. That is very strange.

I always try to avoid that place.
Once, I got a stamp on my PP to go out for a smoke. I took a subway and wound up in the center of London. Then I had to hustle back to the airport.
I must add, however, the locals were super. One guy in an expensive suit took me back. He had served in the British Army and saw my backpack and asked if I had served in the army, which I had.
Try Manchester airport. They force you to chuck your lighter in a bed just for lighters. Then when you return and need to buy a lighter the shops all stock lighters that are out of fuel or half empty. I wonder where they get those from!
I'm under the flightpath for planes landing at Liverpool John Lennon, also. Traffic hasn't been zero today - but close to it, compared to an average Friday. Had a pair of Typhoon fighters scream over about an hour ago, too - subsonic but not by a lot.
