North Korea Warns Of Attacks Against White House, Pentagon And Entire "Cesspool Of Terrorism" That Is America

Tyler Durden's picture

The whole "North Korea hacking Sony" story had gotten so bizarre over the past week, there was nothing stopping it from jumping fully into the rabit hole. Which it did overnight when as the FT reported, North Korea warned of strikes against key sites in the US in retaliation for Washington blaming Pyongyang for the recent Sony cyber attack, saying any US punishment over the incident would lead to damage “thousands of times greater”.

The comedy continues:

Late on Sunday North Korea’s National Defence Commission said President Barack Obama was “recklessly” spreading rumours that Pyongyang was behind the cyber attack. Sony has pulled The Interview , a satirical film depicting the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, after the hacking and subsequent threats of terrorist attacks against cinemas that screened it."

And now for the roaring laughter:

The NDC said its 1.2m-member army was ready to use all types of warfare against the US. “Our toughest counteraction will be boldly taken against the White House, the Pentagon, and the whole US mainland, the cesspool of terrorism, by far surpassing the ‘symmetric counteraction’ declared by Obama,” said the NDC statement, carried by official news agency KCNA.

Of course, the situation would be far less idiotic if it wasn't for the US being the lead provocateur this time: "The threat comes as US officials are scrambling to come up with ways to retaliate after the FBI announced on Friday that it believed North Korea was behind the cyber attack against Sony, and warned that it would impose “costs and consequences” on those responsible."

Kim and his army generals watching Obama warn about "costs"

So, just for the record, let's get this straight: North Korea (the same North Korea from Hacking Collective Anonymous Says FBI Is Lying, "North Korea Is Not Source Of Hack") hacked one of the world's largest, most secure corporations. In fact, if one looks very closely, one can see in the following photo of a night time North Korea in context, just where North Korea's crack hacking commandoes burn the midnight oil.

As for just what the North Korean nuclear onslaught of America would look like, well we'll just have to wait for the next Sony Picture film to break it all down, coming some time in late 2015.

If you count the cycles from the death of Karl Max, that is the exact date.

It is amazing how none of these Walll Streeters with billions to hire the best brains around cannot figure it out,, yet it is so simple.

Exactly Doc. We have children in charge at all levels of goobermint. It's ridiculous what we have come to and what we must endure.

Frankly, there are tens of thousands of Americans who would just "volunteer" their time and effort to run various agencies of government. The job would be done much, much better. We would all sleep better at night.

If we don't figure out how to literally dismantle this huge federal government, then we are doomed to continue our downward spiral. The "threats" will eventually turn very real.

Meanwhile, evidence continues to surface that the entire Sony Pictures affair, going back to the original decision by the studio to make a film depicting the murder of Kim Jong-un, was a provocation inspired by the US military-intelligence apparatus.

Email communications obtained by the online publication Daily Beast and cited in many columns and commentaries Friday strongly suggest this. Sony Pictures co-chairman Michael Lynton is on the board of trustees of the Rand Corporation, a leading private consulting firm for the CIA and Pentagon, and it was Rand's North Korea specialist, Bruce Bennett, who pushed hard for the Sony film to focus on the assassination of North Korea's ruler.

According to one of these emails, Seth Rogen, the film's co-director, had initially intended the film to target an unnamed leader of an unnamed country, and it was Lynton himself "that told them to not use a fictitious name, but to go with Kim Jong-un." The same message, written by Marisa Liston, a Sony senior vice president, said that Rogen and co-director Evan Goldberg "mention that a former CIA agent and someone who used to work for Hillary Clinton looked at the script."

An email from Bennett, the Rand analyst, to Lynton suggested that the film could actually help unseat the North Korean regime. "I have been clear that the assassination of Kim Jong Un is the most likely path to a collapse of the North Korean government," Bennett wrote. "I believe that a story that talks about the removal of the Kim family regime and the creation of a new government by the North Korean people (well, at least the elites) will start some real thinking in South Korea and, I believe, in the North once the DVD leaks into the North (which it almost certainly will)."

Lynton responded, "Bruce -- Spoke to someone very senior in State (confidentially). He agreed with everything you have been saying. Everything. I will fill you in when we speak."

Other emails name two State Department officials -- Assistant Secretary Daniel Russel and Ambassador Robert King, US special envoy for North Korea human-rights issues -- as providing input to the film. End q. McCain is figting for freedom of expression of who?

If I were Pres I would end North Korean insanity by launching full nuclear attack, first with with jamming, stealth bombing key sites, then immediately follow with a carpet of nukes.

Then tell the Iranians that they are next unless they immediately allow international inspectors in and fully dismantle their nuclear weapons program. The Iranians can buy nuclear fuel for power plants, don't need an expensive enrichment program for electric power. This path will calm the waters internationally for a long, long time.

I would also track down all the anti-America commenters on web sites (VERY easy to identify), draft them into the army, then ship their asses to the ISIL front lines so they can be made useful.

You simple-minded buffoons do not understand the hierarchy of regimes that can harm you.

Yes, the USA regime can and does harm Americans every day, even killing some Americans, especially with dark skin, without justification or access to justice afterwards by the victim's survivors.

BUT

the North Korean regime is infinitely worse, and given the opportunity, they would do immense harm to ALL Americans, including extensive economic & property damage and killing on a large scale even those with light skin.

So I say, first exploit the corrupt regime in WADC to eliminate the enemies of America the country, THEN eliminate the corrupt regime in WADC, which is an enemy of the American people, ie the productive non-entitlement ones.

Stop sucking on your bong long enough to let your vestigal brain function and you may begin to understand the principle of hierarchies of risks & dangers.

Yes, that's certainly an unambiguous and ringing endorsement of the depth of 'american' sanity. Destroys the very insane hypothesis that the US is the wall against barbarism.

Then tell the Iranians that they are next unless they immediately allow international inspectors in

IAEA inspectors have been monitoring Iran's nuclear research for decades.

Not many people know this but North Korea dug a tunnel from Pyongyang to DC. Laugh all you want at these small North Koreans but they were intentionally starved by their leaders to keep them small so they would fit into the tunnels. Laugh when they flood the streets of DC killing all.

Seriously now though: these North Korean leaders are very very bad people who starved thousands of their people so they could divert money from their economy in order to build nuclear weapons. They themselves should be all starved to death.
