The Destruction Of The Middle Class Is Nearing The Final Stages

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Tom Chatham via Project Chesapeake,

The events of the past few months seem astounding when taken in all at once. The plan to destroy the U.S. dollar and the American middle class is moving at an ever increasing speed.

At the recent G20 meeting the nations agreed that bank deposits would no longer be considered money. These bank deposits become the property of the banking institution and as such can be used any way the bank wants. This means that any money you deposit in a bank now is no longer yours but makes you an investor in the bank and subject to lose that money if a banking crisis takes down the bank.

The spending bill just passed by congress makes the American taxpayer responsible for any derivatives loses that banks may suffer. These derivative holders now have first priority when any funds are paid out and depositors are relegated to last place. FDIC insurance will have to pay out these funds but it has no where near enough money to pay the more than 300 trillion in losses that will be suffered in a banking crisis. That means any depositor has little hope of getting anything back. In order for depositors to get anything back massive money printing would have to take place making any payout amount to only pennies on the dollar.

And if you don’t think there is any danger of a banking crisis in America you may want to keep in mind that the Treasury Dept. has recently ordered $200k worth of 72 hr emergency kits for dispersion to every major bank in America. These are known by many as bug-out-bags and are used to support individuals when disaster strikes and they have to care for themselves for the first few days of crisis.

New legislation now gives pension plans the ability to cut benefits to pensioners in the future making the future welfare of these people uncertain. They say it is necessary to prevent these funds from going bankrupt. It will “apply to multi-employer pensions, where a group of businesses in the same industry join forces with unions to provide pension coverage for employees. The plans cover some 10 million U.S. workers,” You may be happy to know this will not affect congressional pensions, as long as they are funded by the taxpayers.

The sanctions being placed on Russia are beginning to destabilize the world in many ways. The sudden drop in oil prices will send ripples through many foreign nations and cause an already tense situation to become highly flammable. It seems this is what is wanted to provoke a new world war and hide the complicity of bankers and politicians in the coming destruction of the economy.

For the past few years those elite with knowledge of the coming monetary destruction have been putting their fiat dollars into any hard assets they can find. The recent record prices paid at auction for collectables is just one more indication that those in the know are moving into hard assets as fast as they can to preserve their wealth.

This diversification includes precious metals and land as well. I believe when there are no more metals or suitable properties available for purchase, these entities in control of this game will pull the plug and let everything collapse. Those holding fiat paper, electrons or other paper promises will be devastated as those assets evaporate into thin air.

You may feel some security knowing you have a good job but among the deposits that disappear will be billions in commercial accounts that belong to businesses. When these businesses lose this money, many will likely close destroying many jobs in the process. This will send ripples through the transportation, production and distribution system when it happens. In an economy made up of 70% consumer spending, this will be fast and devastating to those with few resources to fall back on when it happens.

There are three lessons that many people will learn in the coming months. If you do not have it already you may not be able to get it. If you do not have it physically in your hands you do not own it. If you cannot protect it you will not have it for long.

In the end, some will question if they were the lucky ones that survived. Or maybe the ones that perished were the lucky ones. Depends on your point of view at the time.

Wow.  Thank you.

Also, I thought James was Jesus's older brother.  Anyway, I never understood why it was important for Jesus's mother to be a virgin.  Fairy tales?  I think it detracts from Jesus's message when the old fairy tales get tacked on.  Makes me wonder what was going on politically at the time the Roman Emperor had the Bible put together.

And where was Jesus's father when all the stuff in the Gospels was happening?  How come Mary and James hang around, but Joseph isn't mentioned?

And as for healing, Jesus told us to go and do likewise.  I think many people get healed every day without medicines.  I don't know why none of them are politicians or bankers.  Nevertheless, I am grateful for the march of science and medicine.

Sorry but the melons on a wall is what women think men want so that's what is in now. a work associate had her chest implanted from a B to a double DD. She was so thrilled she didn't have to even wear a bra! I was incredulous so she showed me in the bathroom. Look, even when I jump up and down they don't move! She was right. Frankly I was a bit disturbed by the look and just stared at unnatural perfection. Maybe you have to be a guy to appreciate it. Mine would not.

Perhaps I'm wrong about this, but I'd bet that the greater number of women who get implants do it for THEIR OWN esteem issues, (which has little or nothing to do with any kind of 'pressure' put on them by men).

I'd go as far as to say that there are a large number of 'divorced' women (% wise), who got the work done after the divorce (whereby somebody might extrapolate any 'psychology' that they may care to along those lines).

Frankly (speaking only for myself), big tits are about as fascinating to me as Kim Kardashian's ass. You gotta have yourself a look (I suppose), but after that, it's like 'Meh ~ Do I really want to stare at that thing every day'?

Absolutely.  Women are not obsessed with their appearance because of men.  Women are obsessed with their appearance out of fear of judgment from other women and to propagate their own perception of beauty.  However, this does not stop women from blaming men for going to absurd lengths in an attempt to find aesthetic perfection.  I won't hold my breath waiting on women to admit wrong on the matter.

Once a woman crosses the rubicon into decent looking (fuckable - which is generally a hilariously low standard), men are satisfied...  Do you really think men care what kind of handbag you have?  Whether all your accessories are coordinated?  Whether the clothes are from last season?  Whether your makeup is applied perfectly (or even remotely correctly)?  Whether you raided the candy drawer at work because of a stressful day and gained a pound?  Would we even know the difference?  No, men are easy to please...

It seems that many women are in search of the same appearance, but how the hell is it that women of all shapes and sizes find suitors?  If the co-worker had asked her significant other, then I'm guessing he wouldn't have given a shit whether she got balloon tits...

2 years ago i had a large adhesion removed from my abdomen due to an emergency surgery. My surgeon was a famous plastic surgeon specializing in very large implants. Women came to him from all over the world including the Hollywood bimbo crowd. I just consulted him again to see if I can have my scar revised because it is very deep and jagged where he removed the tissue but I was extremely happy with the results not having excruciating pain when I bend over.

He told me feminine beauty is essentially about proportion. I am a 36D so I measure 40 inches across the bust, 31 inch waist and a 42 inch hip at the widest point. To be "perfect", I should have a 40 inch hip to be perfectly propositional. He looks at my husband who says " I think my wife is perfect just the way she is. In fact, I don't even see the scar that is bothering her anymore. She calls it Grand Canyon, not me". They both look at me. " If my husband is content, then it shall be too" I said smiling back to them.

My Dr was quite taken aback and shook our hands. " it was an honor to have met you two. So rare do I see this in my work. This is how it should be."

Men are stimulated visually. This is a fact. I honor this by staying in shape as much as I can. But I don't have to be perfect. Men are worried they won't be attractive if they don't have a lot of money. I assuage his fears he is good enough as he is and I don't need designer clothes or purses. If he loses his job we will make do and I will never leave him. This type of love soothes the soul.

Merry Christmas to all.

I look at the seas of McMansions and wonder who the hell would want those giant energy inefficient vaulted ceilings and postage sized lots? Shoddy construction means they won't last like an older home. Most are vacant most of the time due to parents working or kids being shuttled to various activities. " This means that any money you deposit in a bank now is no longer yours but makes you an investor in the bank and subject to lose that money if a banking crisis takes down the bank."

In the past and in many places in the world, this was what a bank was. It was an institution, a business, a entity you invested your money with for a possible return on investment. When banks failed, the investors lost. If we return to those days, then investors should just pull out. I will pull my money form the local bank if this type of law governs my deposits. EVeryone should cease giving deposits to these banks!

It is time for new banks, set up on the principle "Utility". A simple utility to serve depositors and to loan money under secured loans with strict lending rules. These banks are not for everyone, like corporations. But if a set of banks were set up and operated as Public Utilites, without a profit motive. Solvency and paying a resonable interest rate would be their commission. Loaning money for small business and for home mortgages would be their business model. Fuck the stock markets, fuck bond holders and fuck financial engineering. Such banks would be worthy of Federal Insurance, but only these Public Utility Banks should warrent Federal Insurance. The big banks should be boycotted by us all, fuck 'em, they never get a deposit from me and they never will. I see hundreds of people every day pour in the lobby of several major money center banks in the nearby city. They a dupes!

Hi Jack, I withdrew mine in 2010, at the beheast of Eric Cantona U-tube  http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/nov/20/eric-cantona-bank-protest-c...

Of which didn't really seem to fly with anyone I know around here, I think I was the only one to withdraw in my town.  They somehow have been quite satisfied with less than a tenth of percent interest on their deposit, personally I'll take care of it my self, no problem.

Now if I could just get USA Social Security Admin. to 'cash me out in a lump sum'...I would be happy to make every Republican's dream come true, and take the early lump & get off their books.  Oh yeah I wouldn't have to think about it, just have to make sure they don't skin me too badly on the lump sum.    ~~~~but you haven't seen a direction in law like that, during the Democratic majority, and I doubt the Repubulicans could actually bring an early buy out clause in the law.~~~~

I saw many people here in ZH complaining to others that they are writing too long messages instead of putting a link which is much more simple. So that's what I'm doing. In fact, I participate in less than 1/10 of the themes of ZH with my links although I have something to say in nearly every one, exactly to avoid someone to tell me the things you wrote. Apparently I have failed. No one is obliged to click a link. It's your choice and everyone else's to click or not to click a link.

If, albiet far fetched, "government" got out of the business of Ag. subsidies, price floors/ceilings(maniuplation), and the byzantine regulations imposed on growers, the majority of growers would be far better off. That said, there are also a lot of growers who are perfectly happy with subsidies, so there is going to be some opposition to a free market from the Agriculture welfare queens as well. Government manipulation directly affects what a grower is going to plant the next season and often results in excess of a commodity, thus the prices tank for that commodity. On top of direct govt. manipulation there are the GoldmanSachs et al. speculators. Naturally, this benefits the bread + circus model to keep the masses placated with excess food so I do not expect anything to change. Only if food was no longer cheap and readily availble would people be out in the streets (begging for new masters).

One exeption is wood products. Some very good small US manufacturers.

"It" already is happening, though it just hasn't reached the really bad parts yet. In 2008/2009 I was fairly convinced there would be a full-scale economic implosion, however it did not happen as it naturally *should* have. The way things "should" be, unfortunately, is not the way things are. There will probably NOT be the sort of "reset" that needs to happen, rather I think there will be a continuation of the synthetic crisis we are seeing, though with very real life consequences to average people. This continuation in a perpetual crisis-state is just another substrate to derive more power from. Why would a singular "reset" event benefit the elite when they could have a lot of smaller "the end is nigh" crisis to play with?

What's happening is more akin to a slow poisoning with definitive decline rather than a build up to a singular explosive event.

Then the next morning that branch manager would arrive to a smoldering pile of ashes where the bank once stood.  And then the next day, the branch up the road from my former branch would be a pile of ashes.  And the next day, the branch down the road in the other direction .... well, I think you can see how flammable bad banking practices can be.

Proprietary financial and insurance models and code have silently become the law, due to the digital illiterates that run this country.  Wall Street is very smart and loves to see folks distracted with things like "The Interview" movie, so they can keep running those models.

The math models are failing and in any industry the Quants don't know when to stop and will destroy and vertical they can with models that may trump a great proof of concept, but they don't work in the real world, except to make the wealthy richer, which means for the rest of us, we are a bit techno serfs that serve the bots.

No "Middle" class is needed, as all classes are being redefined.

We will now/soon have: Royalty, Nobility, Gentry, Soldiers, Commoners, Peasants and Criminals.

Royalty = Banking elite
Nobility = Oligarchs, Social & Political Elite, Judges, Captains of Industry
Gentry = Entrepreneurs (only well to do), Millionaires
Soldiers = Soldiers, Spies, Police
Commoners = White & Blue collar workers
Peasants = No collar workers, Unemployed, some Homeless
Criminals = Criminals, Dissidents & Traitors, untouchable Homeless

The new Middle Class = Gentry & Soldiers and a few well-to-do Commoners.
The remaining Commoners are lumped in with Peasants in the Lower Class.

I spent 2 hours early this morning in the local bread line, along side approx. 200 other peasants, those folks are pretty decent, prepared for the cold, some quick with a smile or a wave, not expecting much but showed up anyway to accept the Christian provision & say thank you.

They were many of the same faces at Thanksgiving's 'food basket'.  All of them 'signed up' with Dept. of Human Services, many are new to all this, and many are well experienced, wearing their favorite hand-me-down clothes & shoes.

There was a whole seperate, & first placed in line, for the 'aid workers', from the regular peasants, by the facilities' volunteer management the 'aid workers line was made' but also by the lined up peasants whom never groaned, but some where curious, all are somehow aquainted with those shut-ins needs that the minimum wage aid workers happily waited with us.

It was a Merry Christmas in the bread line today, I got 4 apples of good quality, 2 oranges, 2 cans of green peas, 1 stick of oleo, 1 coupon for $11 meat at the local Harps grocery, 1 bag of unbaked tortillas, 1 deal of dinner rolls, 1 yellow cake mix, 1 strawberry gelatin, 4 candy canes, 2 cans of dry black eyed peas.  There was even a rack of used winter coats by the exit, if you need one.

Thanks for the offer d'herblay, our community 'clothes closet' & 'food room' receives donation just like you mentioned all the time, sometimes we even receive new stuff with the tag still on it.  You might look thru your pantry for any food that is not yet expired, but you have decided you will never get around to eating.  Most of the food donation is from grocery stores and other retailers, the proceeds from clothing sales goes toward overhead, & food purchases, & emergency outreach (burn out victims).  Just about anything can be donated, books, appliances, kitchen stuff, medical braces, walkers, shower chairs.

There is a mountain of used clothes down there, they throw away anything that is terribly torn, worn, or soiled, there is no attempt to 'clean or refurbish' at our facility, so a lot of good clothes get wasted because they smell like dog piss.  We mainly organize stuff where shoppers can find it.  What doesn't get trashed or sold, used clothes are 'bailed & recycled' and they claim they are shipped to 3rd world countries, to be given to the poor.  But I have my suspicion, bailed clothes go directly to the textile mills, I don't know that to be fact tho.

I volunteer down there 30 hrs a month, (as required by Dept. of Human Services, which is slavery, in order to get $171/month on the EBT card) sweeping the floor, or washing the windows, sorting coat hangers, taking out the trash, I'm an athiest, but nearly all the other volunteers are Christian, and some do not rely on EBT, they do it for their own personal reason.

The Salvation Army, The Goodwill, & other entities, will be glad to get your sack of duds,... when you 'donate' them, get a receipt and use it as a tax deduction.

I threw all this post in here to remind ZH'ers that there is reality beyond the markets & government...(not that they don't have their fingers in everything).

We are always giving stuff to the local thrift store.  But we clean everything first.  Last month, we even took them a toilet, because one family member now needs a "high toilet".  Cleaned it up and they took it.  We take stuff we buy but end up not using, or that after a few years we end up not using.  Someone gives us a shirt for Christmas, we take an older shirt and give it to the thrift store.  Stuff gets in the way.  Simplify.

However, we don't get receipts, because Jesus said, "when you give, give in secret".  Others may feel different.  Also, we feel that our generosity has nothing to do with the government, and is none of its business.

I think generous people come from everywhere.  You don't have to say that you "belong" to any Church.

However, if SHTF, it may be good to have a support/power group, and Churches fill that role.  I am thinking of the book "The Diamond Age".

You are wrong, very wrong.

The decline of the middle class started in the field, on the farms.

When large corporations buy large planting areas based family goes to the bag.

They saw all assariados and the profit does not stay in the communities, go to shareholders.

The big banks ended up with small regional banks, the shit began in the early 1970s.

That istory to send only Jhon Boy to the University and the other six children staying at the farm was right.

The wrong was send their seven children to university, the farm went bankrupt.

In US history review will forcibly of those paragraphs I wrote above is of my own, can copy and save.

hehe.
