America pays people the equivalent of 20$/hr to produce nothing via social entitlement on borrowed time and borrowed money.. It will not end well.

China pays people the equivalent of 20 cents /ht to produce everything via fixed currencies and don't work don't eat policies.. It will end well..

Stupid iPad ..... Who made this thing.. I have no up down arrows on the virtual keyboard..

What kind of fiat money bitches?  Fiat as credit issued from private banks?  There are various kinds of fiat - so please be more descriptive.

Lawful fiat is totally different than banker fiat.  The first is good and the latter bad.

How can money stay valuable when we borrow it into existence to pay people not to produce anything aka quantive easing to fund social entitlements?

Money can only have value when linked to something productive aka food grown or something...

Who listens to this crappy music

Tue, 12/23/2014 - 20:24 | 5586633 Everyman
Everyman's picture

TO answer your question: People that do not listen to today's crappy "music" that was dreamed up, processed and "played" in a computer with no command or ability n the instrument or voice.  You apparently  prefer today's "anyone can be an artist" crap, with autotune hell and self involved musicians?

South Park nailed it with "Lourde".  Anybody today can make crappy music if they have a computer and some pirated samples.  Mos musicians these day are not " musicians", meaning they really can't play.  But they can program and bullshit quite well.

Music today is is as bad of shape as our so called "markets". Ignoring reality seems to have a constant, and most asleep don't understand that.

There is a geometric increase in the production of everything digital and digital processing.. It's like photography. Who buys a film camera when even a disposable flip phone has one and takes a decent picture?

Answer nobody. So even the likes of national geographic suffer because with a mouse click I can have all the most exotic and rare pictures of exotic and rare animals and rare places.

Same for music pre digital it took skilled bands and committed time to make anything .. They were payed well. Now on my iPad laying in my bed I can spit out a tune and vocalize. No it's not good but it's saturating YouTube. Thus content be it music books software and anything that can be copied will eventually have a value of zero..

The last question is the digitization of money. It is digitally being created encase and how long before we as a people figure out it has no link to reality?

And yet people say americans are clueless.

I'd say this is the best indicator yet that the majority of the US really does understand what's going on.

Tue, 12/23/2014 - 18:53 | 5586386 Future Jim
Future Jim's picture

America is circling the drain and young people in the US are significantly more optimistic than older people for the future of young people. This is testament to the power of the mainstream propaganda, such as the Myth of Obama, that reached them even without TV, which makes them even more confident that they are not being influenced by mainstream propaganda.

Tue, 12/23/2014 - 19:04 | 5586450 seek
seek's picture

I think it's more a testament to the cluelessness and inherent optimism of young people. It's hard to find people in their late teens and early 20s anywhere (not just the US) that don't think they're indestructible, or believe they won't be successful, or who think other people know better. Hormones are a hell of a drug. What matters here more is what their parents and grandparents think, since they have a much better sense of history to guide them, and that's showing up in the polling data. I think the Chinese are just as sane as the Americans are with respect to future outcomes for their kids for the same reason.

(The true irony is that it's still likely a worse-off 18yo american today will be better off 10 years from now than his Chinese counterpart. It's easy to believe the next generation will be better off when the prior generation starved.)

Tue, 12/23/2014 - 21:44 | 5586897 Future Jim
Future Jim's picture

In some countries the young people were less optimistic than older people, and in only two were they proportionally more optimistic than older people as compared to the US. Those two were Sweden and France BTW.

I would instead say that people in America are feeling it but not understanding it because if they did they would be up in arms with what has been done to them.

And that is the truly disturbing bit. Because if you can sense the slide and just accept it with a defeatism then you are as good as dead.

They understand something is going badly wrong but don't know why* hence they can't react as a group to stop it - all they can do is either try and prep individually for the worst or self-medicate in some way (games, pron, TV, drugs, booze etc) to avoid thinking about it.

Beacuse of the one child policy, too many Chinese kids are spoilt. In fact many factories are having problems finding young workers from city areas.

I am afraid that the young generation in China will not fare as well as they expect.

Then again, where in the world does the youth have reasonable prospects these days?

Ten years ago you would be hard pressed to find a student who was lazy, indifferent, unmotivated, rude, etc. Now they are everywhere. Last week I talked to a university English teacher who said he's leaving China because he's tired of putting up with the arrogant attitudes. I talked to a middle school English teacher who said all her students are spoiled brats. The script is being followed. For Americans who are old enough to remember, this is all a rerun.

China adopted many of the principles we used to subscribe to and are now very proserpous.  We have adopted many of the principles of economic oppression they used to have, and now are becoming an economic basket case.  Russia and China both have more economic freedom than we do.  Putin once told Obama that socialism doesn't work, imagine that.  You reap what you sow, the curse causeless shall not come.

Makes no mistake, the elites and the banking cartels will get theirs, guaranteed.  "As ye mete out to others so shall it be meted out to you again."  The law of compensation.
