The Zombiefication Of America

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog,

Do you know people that seem like they have had their souls sucked out of them?  On dictionary.com, a “zombie” is defined as “the body of a dead person given the semblance of life, but mute and will-less, by a supernatural force, usually for some evil purpose”.  And that sounds very much like what has happened to tens of millions of Americans.  When you look into their eyes, it doesn’t look like anything is even there.  That is because who they once were is now dominated and controlled by the overwhelmingly powerful “matrix” that is being constructed all around us.

As I wrote about the other day, virtually all news, information and entertainment that Americans consume is controlled by just six monolithic corporations And today, Americans are more “plugged in” than ever before.  The average person watches 153 hours of television a month in addition to spending countless hours watching movies, playing video games, listening to music, reading books and surfing the Internet.  In the end, all of that “programming” turns many of us into virtual zombies, and that is the way that the elite like it.

Just think about it.  What was the biggest news story in the entire country over the holiday weekend?

It was the fact that some hackers had taken down the Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox networks and millions of kids could not log in and play the video games that they had just received for Christmas.

Sadly, most parents don’t even bother to pay attention to what those video games are actually teaching their children.

One of the most popular video games this holiday season is Grand Theft Auto V.  In this game, our kids do things that none of us would ever want them to do in real life

The game contains scenes where players can have virtual sex with prostitutes then beat them up and steal their money, and a scene of torture where the player is expected to remove a gang rival’s teeth one by one using the joy pad, which vibrates as the victim begs for mercy.

It also includes scenes where the player smokes marijuana, and takes the dangerous hallucinogenic drug peyote. There is also a brief instance of necrophilia. Yet GTA V is one of the top-selling computer games in the world.

If you put garbage in, you are eventually going to get garbage out.

And we can see the consequences of this all over the country.

Meanwhile, Americans are becoming increasingly disinterested in things that really matter such as faith, family and the U.S. Constitution.

Instead, many of our spoiled young people are self-obsessed narcissists that loudly complain on social media when they don’t get the electronic gadgets that they were expecting for Christmas.

It isn’t the end of the world if “Santa” doesn’t bring you the latest iPhone.

But Americans today, especially our young people, have such a warped view of reality.  It begins at a very early age, and one of the biggest culprits is our public school system.

For instance, the Blaze recently reported that children down in Texas are being taught that the pilgrims were “essentially America’s first terrorists” and that they should listen to their teachers more than they listen to their parents…

Cassidy Vines was so horrified by what a teacher in Texas allegedly told her that she is planning on home-schooling her daughter after Christmas break.

Vines told Glenn Beck on Monday that she recently began noticing a change in her daughter’s behavior. Her daughter — who is in kindergarten — started to “snap” at her when she corrected her homework, saying “I’m her mommy, not her teacher.”

Vines said a few days after her daughter first snapped at her, she started pronouncing a word incorrectly. Vines corrected her daughter “in the most gentle way possible,” but she said her daughter broke down crying, saying “that’s how she was taught, and I can’t tell her something different because I’m a mommy, not a teacher.”

Vines said she was horrified and asked, “Is somebody telling you this at school?”

“She said, ‘Yes, I’m only allowed to learn from my teacher,’” Vines remarked.

In this day and age, our public schools have essentially become government indoctrination centers that train our children to let “the matrix” do their thinking for them.  They are taught that they are just highly evolved animals that are here only as the result of a giant cosmic accident, and that morality and values are all relative.

As a result, many of our young people just do whatever is right in their own eyes, and at this point many of them have consciences that have been seared beyond recognition.

For example, how far gone do you have to be in order to sing a “Christmas carol” that includes the line “Deck the halls with rows of dead cops”?…

The brave Portland #Ferguson demonstrators were back at it again Saturday evening, as they blocked the busy intersection of SE 39th and Belmont as a way of stickin’ it to the man.

They blocked buses and cars, and got into arguments and physical altercations with several people, including: elderly drivers, disabled bus passengers, a black woman who was trying to pick up her son, and anyone else who dared voice their dissent.

After about 20 minutes of tying up the intersection, the protest moved to nearby Peacock Lane, which is well known for its rows of large Christmas displays. The demonstrators sang parody Christmas carols, which included a brief rendition of “Deck the halls with rows of dead cops.”

Our society is breaking down in thousands of different ways, and we can see the evidence of this all around us.

But instead of coming together as a nation, anger, hate and division just continue to grow.  And all of this anger, hate and division is being fueled by the talking heads on television.

It has become exceedingly apparent that most Americans no longer think for themselves.  Rather, most conversations in America today consist of an exchange of sound bites, phrases, ideas and talking points that the “matrix” has fed us.  Most of us are just zombies that spend our days searching for the things that we are desperately craving.  For fictional zombies, that usually consists of brains.  For American zombies, that usually consists of something that will feed our addictions.

So is there any hope for our society, or are we destined to become even more zombiefied?

I don't think it's intentional groundwork, but I do think it's a real-time expression of what's happening, or about to happen, courtesy of the creative world. Marshall McLuhan said "Art at its most significant is a distant early warning system that can always be relied on to tell the old culture what is beginning to happen to it."

Personally, I have absolutely no interest in "coming together as a nation".

It's not that one shouldn't find satisfaction in living with, and IMHO for, other sentient beings, but American society has become a dysfunctional mass of 320 million self-absorbed half-wits, most of whom admire and obey an elite class of self-absorbed jackass sociopaths.  Begging your pardon, but they can all go to Hell.

And I'll "come together" with people I love and respect.

Face it, this is true all over the world.  It s easier for most people to have someone think and act for them.

Consider that most of the heroes of the past, real and literary, are people who acted as individuals, stepping apart from the mainstream to accomplish something extraordinary.  And though people want to have a hero to identify with, not many are willing to do anything heroic themselves.  Note the advertising for the latest games, "Be a hero" is the theme.  So, it becomes easier for people to be virtual heroes rather than facing the many risks to be actual heroes.

Reminds me of that book written my Feldstein or whatever his name is "World is Flat" he said all over the world kids are racing home from school to study and learn and ace their exams.  Total nonsense, I have half my family in Asia and 99% of kids pay no attention to school and simply do nothing except play video games.  If you don't know any better, you'd believe Feldstein but he's full of shit with his book.

Couple of points - the video gaming industry has actually undercut the illegal drug purveyors because they have successfully got the kids effectively manufacturing their own stimulants internally in the comfort of their own homes.

And one of the funniest things I've seen in recent times is the GTA "Golf package" with all of the thugs out on the links hitting little white balls.

I suggest "Escape from Freedom," an excellent read by Eric Fromm explains why when people don't think for themselves, bad things happen.

The book is better known as "The Fear of Freedom" outside the USA which is a title I prefer also.

It's a great article until the end:

"Because they don't believe in anything anymore, of course. Because the only truth for them is that there are limits which they must not exceed. Not only God has died, but Vision itself."

I don't think that's why people don't believe in anything anymore.  People don't believe in anything, anymore, because most people are brainwashed on a daily basis.  95% of people don't even think about this stuff.  Those who do, are rightly cynical because it is literally impossible to get through to the 95%.  I've said this before, CH1.  I would happily live in whatever society you want, and debate the details from within.  We'll never get close to it.

I spent an awful Christmas "Rand", faced with my family, all college graduates, me being the only exception, as I joined the Navy for 6 years instead of college. This family of Lutherans, hold zionist views, as if they were Israelis themselves. That is media at work! They also buy into the idea of the honest freedom loving Kiev Junta, versus the evil Russian army. And of course all are shocked that Putin would order an airliner downed just to show the west his evil side. SOme of these people are Public School Teachers, sadly.

To be brief, I see educated Americans who are fed media lies, believe them, and never question them. How do Midwestern Swedish American Lutherans become rabid zionists? We were not raised that way! How did that happen? Media, the fucking liar media, is a zionist controlled set of 6 corporations, they issue news approved by Israel and the CIA. A german journalist just blew the whistle on how the CIA runs a vast set of agents inside world media. Of course he was one of them and knows how it works.

The US Media is building up to a war of aggression on Russia. All the lies are aimed at building up support to go to war with Russia. And soon. If my family can be brought into the "war party", then I can see how the undeducated dupes can be brought along like sheep.

And turning to jesus is not going to help free people! The religious people are zionist extremists, hoping for the final wars to bring jesus back. They are hopless dupes.

You could point out their lack of faith in their trying to intervene, albeit ever so slightly, and bring about 'the end' when that is exclusively God's work and somewhat above their pay grade.

You said on a different thread that you don't know the answer.  Start looking by pointing out ironies and hypocracies.  Remove the lies and the truth should remain.

Likely an almost impossible task, but I think you need to break them away from Zionism at its weakest point, which it seems to me is the Holocaust Hoax.

Things like the original Red Cross report of 270,00 dead, or the census of Jews that bracket the war years and show an increase rather than a six million person decrease, or the pervasiveness of the "six million jews" theme that goes back decades before WWII.

What convinced me personally was the math. In order to kill 6 million people, one would have to kill 114 people EVERY SINGLE HOUR OF THE SIX YEARS OF WAR.  Sorry, that is a stretch...

The give away is that its verbotten to even entertain the possibility that the whole meme is hugely amplified to extend Zionist control.

It just doesn't add up to analysis...

Ok, I'm game... say it was from 1933 to 1945. Thats 12 years.

That means 57 people, EVERY SINGLE HOUR FOR EVERY SINGLE 24 HOUR DAY FOR THE ENTIRE 12 YEAR PERIOD.

That is an even greater stretch. The numbers *still* don't add up.

And its worse than that. Gypsies and political enemies would likely not be Iincluded in the 6 million *jews* total, so it would actually be 57 *jews* PLUS an indeterminent number of gypsies, gays, non-jewish communists, feeble-minded, etc. EVERY SINGLE HOUR for 12 years...

Don't get me wrong - the NAZIs were monsters... but the Zionists through their actions in Gaza and even Odessa are not far behind on that scale...

How is this possible, if you talk with your family members?

I had no problems at all to open the eyes of all.

It doesn't happen from one day to the next, but if you talk always about outragous facts they don't know and you show them examples, how all politcians are breaking always all promises for the own people but fullfill all wishes of the Jews, then I can't imagine, if you argue intelligently, how family members could not awake.

Also in religious families, I can't imagine, if interesting facts, how the Jews took over conservative America with the Neocon-strategy, are discussed, how that would not have an impact.

I have the same problem, albeit with Norwegian Lutheran Americans.  Try telling their stubborn minds anything over potato sausage, lefse and lutefisk Christmas dinner that doesn't mesh with what they already think they know.  I believe Cognitive Dissonance did a whole series on how hard it is to reverse these thought patterns/world views, especially if the person trying to invoke independent thought or at least a valid discussion is ostracized or considered anti-semitic.  Such a conversation causes the dogmatic xenophobic American listeners to shut off their logical side.  Most American people are so indoctrinated that they will cover their ears hearing that the Zionists might have ulterior motives or even that they exist outside of the victimist view of the country of Israel.  This is despite telling them that many killed and persecuted by American puppets or American rebel forces throughout Palestine, Iraq and Syria are Christians (not that the Muslims have any less right to complain).  Almost 70% of Americans don't have passports and are now trained to think that overseas lands except Israel and Western Europe are at least dangerous if not jihadists.  Where I live and travel outside the USA, I have common conversations that take it as a given that propagandists and "democracy by force" are expertly employed by USA and its Zionist masters for selfish and often evil ends.

You hit the nail on the head. By doing the same way zionists did it in their native country of Sweden. Control the press, politicians, education and religion. It absolutely tears men apart when I hear Christians talk in nothing by glowing terms about Isreal and Jews. If they only knew what the Talmud contains in it.

Even more, since the New Testament has nothing to do with the Old Testament. And Jesus was about the NT. Yes, it's amazing how the Zionists were able to brainwash even people who read the Testament every day and go to church every sunday.

But because the facts are so plentyful, I don't understand how people here cannot wake up tehir family members.

Maybe the problem is, that the problems are not throughly researched and understood? IF a discussion is like "This is wrong. It's that way." then it cannot succeed. Facts and arguments must be exchanged, not opinions. Opinion should be seen as a RESULT of knowledge.

So true. We had here in the US, back in the 60's, nothing but physical toys.  Lego was ok, but the Erector Set, brand of metal construction sets were the bomb.  Tinker Toys rocked as well.  Tonka trucks and a space in the dirt, could occupy a young lad for hours!  Heck, they don't even play in the streets or the vacant lots anymore.  They wouldn't know a screwdriver from an ice pick.

Ok, you really had me laughing remembering my ER days. After 6 years of that, nothing surprises me any more.

I never knew how many things people would manage to stuff up their asses and not be able to retrieve. You'd think they'd tie a string to it but, no, why not just go to the ER? Once we were trying to remove a cucumber from said orifice when the nursing student next to me was getting obviously uncomfortable. " Honey, haven't you ever had something stuck up your ass?" The patient taunted her. She looked at me " I didn't know nursing was going to be like this?" I guess the dreams of Florence Nightingale were smashed.

I think all of this makes us quiet jaded and look for humor in things like dislocated shoulders. I guess we hope our humor may put you more at ease but you probably really just want to throttle us. Just to let you know, they did it to me when I was being wheeled into the OR for an emergency appendectomy. I kept screaming no I don't want to do this, I'm supposed to be going to Las Vegas! The scrub nurse said " Sweetie, you are in Vegas. You've just entered your suite" that was the last thing I remembered.

I don't remember it too well from all the head trauma. We probably should have worn helmets but it was duck or die in those days. My friend certainly had to when her dad saw his clubs afterward.

Meat, your story of battles, harkens me back to my youth, growing up with two younger brothers right in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles in the late 60's.  Literally just a,dozen blocks from the edge of the skyscrapers and it was Lord of the Flies kind of stuff.

Unsupervised savages, we had epic battles in the vacant lots with rocks, chunks of cement and rock-hard dirt clouds!  We'd fill tin cans with soft dirt and launch them hard, arcing though the air and obscuring the battlefield in huge clouds of choking dust.  A popular spot for these battles was a place simply called "bamboo land" and we'd cut the bamboo down and sharpen the ends to use as javalins.  During one skirmish, as the enemy retreated  my younger brother launched one of these crude spears and it actually stuck into the back one of the retreating kids.  He stopped in the swirling dust clouds grabbing his back in agony and howling out in pain.

And I was the oldest at nine years old.  Three little immigrant ruffians, that probably still had a French Canadian accent, in Downtown LA, between Echo Park and McArthur Park...(oh and there was a lot more where that came from)! The LAPD was most definitely on the look out for you.

My eleven year old killed his first deer last week in a driving, pouring rain storm. I was long ready to throw in the towel and call it a day, but he insisted on staying till the bitter end.

Right at dark, a deer stepped into the green field about 150 yards away.  I was convinced it was a clean miss since the deer never kicked, flinched or hunched.

He nailed it. I do believe I have never been more proud in my life.

I know your idea is fashionable, especially among the wealthy set in which you roam, but I don't buy it.  People by and large did not need to be smart to survive 100+ years ago.   The average guy made money with his muscles, and the average woman was not employed or if she was, she worked in a sewing factory.  More likely she worked on a farm.  They didn't even measure average IQ of the general population of the world 100+ years ago.  Most people could not read, and could not take an IQ test.   So to suggest that average IQ has declined is to speculate based on modern bias.

I had an exchange with a family member that caused a fight that illustrates this zombification personally just before Christmas.

On the 21st of December I was texting my sister having a conversation.  I was getting excited about Christmas and in a text she mentioned "the world is going crazy the North Koreans are threatening us over a movie".  I responded that I didn't think it was the N. Koreans and left it at that.  The next day I sent a quote from Anonymous that the N. Koreans don't have the capabilities to do that kind of hacking attack and she replied "that's racist!!!".  I asked what exactly I said was racist because it seemed to come out of left field and then she claimed I was upsetting her and she was crying so I dropped it and apologized (not sure what for).

She hasn't spoken to me since and I didn't see her over Christmas.  She is educated, is a doctor but works a lot in the USA.  The only thing I can think is that I upset her beliefs so she needs to attack me and hate me for something unrelated (non existant racism).

Oh well, but its pissing me off all this stupidity.

It is odd but it seems to be a normal response with a lot of people when you have a conversation with them, a lot of people take things personally and go on the offensive in return.  I can't say for sure but I think many people don't hear or read the words being said but make it personal and hear "you are wrong" so they fight back.

We live in a militantly un-questioning age in my opinion, for this reason I talk about what is on my mind or provide my views and thoughts very sparingly as it is.

Not only are people getting stupid, but they will fight to remain that way it seems.

Kowalli, every society thinks it is exceptional.  The French are quite sure, as are the Italians, the Russians, the Germans, the Japs, etc.  And I leave out the Middle Eastern countries because they annoy me, but they do too.  It's human nature.  American exceptionalism is only an issue because we are on top of the hill at the moment.

Actually nope, you don't even once head that Russian or Russian leader tell people "we are exceptional"

We are thinking that we are great nation and country but we are not thinking that there is first sort of people and second.

do you head "Americans should lead nations"(c) Obama or we should help these "undeveloped countries" or something very similar.

It's simple - "undeveloped" means second sort people or they are to stupid so USA should save them and solve their problems.

or very simple - inhabitants is a collateral damage

Why are you not using drones in your contry to kill terrorist????

It's all going from logic -USA first sort of people, Europe,Canada,Austrelia - second, and all other world- third sort of people.

T'was ever thus. "We're all MONKEYS!" as Brad Pitt once said. Knowledge injections from unsanctioned sources, ie, not some coiffed talking head in a nice suit paid 6 figures, seem to get filtered as attempts at Dominance, plain and simple. Like you're just saying, "I'm right, and you're wrong, because you're stupid."

Doesn't that seem like what she's responding to? I can have the same problems with my twin sister. It is very much like they don't read your words, but look for some reason to be insulted, no matter what.  Monkeys.

With apologies to Frank Herbert:

“I must not dumb. Dumb is the mind-killer. Dumb is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face their dumb. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the dumb has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

most funny thing that US and Europe don't know what is racism definition "Racism - worldview which are based on the provisions of the physical and mental inequality of human races"

You are black or you are white or you are retarded or you are nigger, etc -it's not a racism, it's an insult

You got a job because you are white - it's a racism

I'm not sure what's scarier: the fact that she thinks doubting N Korea's technological capabilities is racist, or that she's that broken and is a doctor ....

I feel your pain. Same here. Why so many doctors and nurses go full retard is beyond me. My explanation: self medication. My nurse sister in law and her hubby General Practitioner are self described and prescribed happy pill addicts. You can tell when they've triple dosed. They get uber leftist. Hitler's kind of people!

While I agree with the articles facts and sentiment, a study of hyperinflations will see the same break downs in society that the American society has suffered. The primary difference being that the inflation suffered by the American society has happened over a much longer time frame, about 100 years.

Basically, societies that are victims of inflation grow more and more focused on the present over the future, with the hustle and bustle hiding an ever rising depression. Mania, poverty, and desperation become the norm in such societies.

In 1854 Dr. John Snow found that most outbreaks of cholera were around the Broad St. water well. He persuaded the local council to remove the well's pump handle, and the cholera outbreak abated.

Yes, while the Zombiefication of the American people is a curiosity and tragic, our attention should be, like Dr. Snow's, on the source of the disease, not on the disease itself.

Take the handle off the Fed's pump, and cap the well.

The banksters need to repay us.

Guillotine the Fed.
