ADP Employment Beats 4th Month In A Row, At 6-Month Highs
For the 4th month in a row (thanks to revisions revisions revisions), ADP Employment beat expectations. At 241k in December (above the 225k exp.) this is the highest print since June's peak (and occurs as both manufacturing and services PMIs showed faltering unemployment sub-indices). Small business appeared to add the most positions (less than 49 employees) as large businesses added the least with Services-producing firms dominant (even as Services PMI has plunged for 6 straight months). Will "good" news be bad news?
Up, yp, and away...
Which all makes perfect sense...

MCDONALD'S runs out of French fries in Venezuela...
Same thing happened to McDonalds in China. Strange it is only McDonalds and you can still get small fries.
Yellen needs to start selling. Wth things going this well the FED can start to unwind their balance sheet.
See, now THAT'S good sarcasm.
has everyone forgotten the script? its an FOMC day, everything must be in rally mode or else!
Wait a minute, "lies-man" just said expectations were 251K so number was lower than expect?? which is it?
Opinions vary. With the amount of "stimulus" thrown at this economy the last 5 years my expectation was +540K, which it missed by a mile.
No kidding. Between Obama's stupid foreign policy, global sanctions, and Obamacare, it will be harder for the economy get off the mat.
Do you still watch that channel? I read somewhere recently that CNBC is getting rid of Nielson ratings because they don't like hearing the truth that the only one watching is some guy named rabbitus vomitus and a couple of old blue hairs in Cincy.
January will be even better. Retailers need lots of min wage "associates" to process all those holiday season return. Then they can go back on the 99-week UE rolls after Presidents' Day.
Dow futures, triple digit gains, just shows once more that any losses are soon reversed and NEVER, can there be a lower low in this six year bullshit advance
Die DOW

Dude....we know.....where ya been?
Gotta make up for those lost stock market points somehow.
Woo, hoo!!! More low pay, part time jobs. More government dependance. More doubling of health care (Obamacare) premiums and deductibles. More business strangling regulations, shutting down businesses and preventing business start-ups, from the government.
WELCOME... To Obamaville.
These are just numbers now...no facts behind them....just a headline for a day..and an algo moving word...
ADP does NOT have all the payroll numbers. Their numbers are only representative of the mostly large employers. But hey, our country now only cares about the biggest & TBTF companies.....
Isn't ADP now a branch of the BLS via an edict of the Just-Us department.
Eric Holders goons took over the place and made it synchronize with the BLS.
... the question is not whether this employment stats is true or otherwise, but whether Americans and their government are content and satisfied with failing to ask the question whether it is true or not ...
too funny, meanwhile the U6 Real unemployment rate is still over 11%...
If you remember Obama's stimulus program($823 Billion in welfare) was design to get the economy back to full employement, which was 450,000 new jobs per month. So based on these numbers the economy is still contracting.
No more QE, economy on a steady pace, nothing for Yellen to do now. Markets can drop another 50 points now.
Hate to call out everyone on this thread but you are all incorrect. This data shows that everything is just fine. Oh look a unicorn!
The economy lags the stock market by a couple of months. The major trend in stock is now down and unemployment will follow soon enough...
