If you really want to fuck with a camera then try to take a picture of the sun either rising or setting. I have one shot out of three cameras that is only OK this evening. I wanted to capture what the light was doing to the lenses and and I captured it but it is not what I wanted, yet still really interesting. There really was only about 45 seconds to accomplish the shot I wanted. I was SO close to getting the shot that is art. It is my fuck up. I think most of you know that William7 is a photographer too. It is not easy to to shoot a camera sometimes.

A Muslim informed me that the reason they are against caricatures/sculptures/etc is because Mohammad instructed them not to do it as he didn't want to be worshipped in lieu of God/Allah. We don't see any of them drawing insulting caricatures of Jesus or Moses. It's sad (as always) to see the acts of few being held represenative of the approx 1.5 billion Muslims.
Jesus & Moses are considered prophets in the Islamic religion. Might explain why. Jews rejected Jesus as a prophet.
Jews don't recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
Protestants don't recognize the Pope.
Mormons don't recognize each other in a liquor store.

Simple thought experiment. Imagine you are an American immigrant living in Yemen. You left the US because opportunities are much better in the Middle East. While your family stays behind you send them money when you can. Life in North America is heard and has been ever since the Yemenies (along with other ME countries) discovered large oil deposits there about 100 years ago.
Life in Yemen is hard because you're a Christian living in a Muslim country and there's a lot of prejudice against Christians, especially since the Riyad terror attacks in 2001, but you try your best. Even harder is watching the TV and seeing the Yemen air force and army destroy the cities of the U.S and Canada, killing millions of innocent people. Lately there have been scenes of soldiers destroying churches but you try to ignore it. Some soldiers use the statues of Jesus on the cross for target practice and many Christians in the Middle East get upset about it. The Yemen media mock these people, saying it's just a wooden statue and there's no reason why anybody should get upset.
So you ignore the comments and racism and carry on.
Then one Saturday night you see the reporters on TV laughing as they show a clip of a Yemen soldier in a bombed out church in Dallas (wherever) and there is a statue of Jesus on the ground and the dude is pissing on it.
Next day you're in church. The regular reverend is away or gone and there is a new guy. Fire and Brimestone, the real deal. And unlike the previous minister he doesn't talk about turning the other cheek instead saying that God will give these people what they deserve.
next month you start thinking about doing something.
Here's another thought experiment.
Say I'm a immigrant that adds nothing to the society I currently live in. I don't work, I'm on welfare but I'm still allowed to vote for some reason. I don't like this society because its not what I'm used to "back home", not enough state control, too many half naked women running around, people drink too much, don't pray enough and when they do pray they pray to the wrong God or put nature or people before my God and are allowed by the state to do so.

As a way for the muslim mind to understand the concept of freedom of religion, of speech, of press, they have to understand the difference between mans law & God's law. Charlie Hebdo most certainly did satirize Christians & Jews, yet Christians & Jews didn't take it upon themself to go and slaughter people for it. They simply turned their back on them.
