We Are Entering An Era Of Shattered Illusions
Submitted by Brandon Smith via Alt-Market.com,
The structure of history is held together by two essential and distinct kinds of links, two moments in time to which no one is immune: moments of epiphany, and moments of catastrophe. Sometimes, both elements intermingle at the birth of a singular epoch. Men often awaken to understanding in the midst of great crisis; and, invariably, great crises can erupt when men awaken. These are the moments when social gravity vanishes, when the kinetic glue of normalcy melts away, and we begin to see the true foundations of our world, if a foundation exists at all.
Catastrophe occurs when too many people refuse to accept that around us always are two universes at work. There is the cold, hard reality that underlies everything. And on the surface is a veil of deceit and compromise. The more humanity compromises vital truths in order to enjoy the comfort of illusions, the more mind-shattering it will be when those illusions fall away. These two worlds can coexist only for short periods of time, and they will always and eventually collide. There is no other possible outcome.
I think it could be said that the more polarized our realities become, the more explosive and disastrous the reaction will be when the separation is removed. I feel it absolutely necessary to relate this danger because today humanity is living so historically far from the bedrock of reality, political reality, social reality and economic reality that the stage has been set for a kind of full spectrum destabilization that has never been seen before.
Though my analysis tends to lean toward the economic side of things, I am not only speaking of shattered illusions in the financial realm. In my next article, one last time I plan to go over nearly every mainstream economic statistic used today to misdirect the public (from national debt to unemployment to inflation to retail sales and corporate profits) and expose why they are false while giving you the real numbers. Most of my regular readers are familiar with much of this information, but I think it important to consolidate it all in a single article so that we can take stock of where our society sits fiscally as we enter 2015. For now, though, I want to discuss the core problem of self-deception, the problem that makes all the rest of our problems possible.
When the initial phase of the global collapse was triggered in 2007 and 2008, there was a substantial explosion in interest and education in terms of liberty issues and alternative economic awareness. I remember back in 2006 when I had just begun writing for the movement that the ratio of people on any given Web forum or in any given public discussion was vastly opposed to alternative viewpoints and information — at least 50-1 by my observations. We were at the height of the real estate frenzy; everyone was buying houses with money they didn’t have and borrowing on their mortgages to purchase stuff they didn’t need. Life was good. The shock of the credit crisis came quickly and abruptly for most people, and there has been a considerable shift in the kinds of discussions many are willing to entertain about our future. Yet the idea that such things can happen despite a consensus of social and geopolitical health does not seemed to have soaked into the thick skulls of average people.
Time, unfortunately, has a magical ability to erase vigilance. It’s not that the public has necessarily forgotten that danger can strike anytime anywhere (though some of them have). Many of them know full well that our culture is floating on a paper-thin ship in a turbulent sea. However, the disturbing trend today reveals that people have decided they do not care. “Taking the blue pill” is the rising rally cry from the so-called “new normal.” Yes, the economy is an illusion, the political system is an illusion and the various global conflicts our society participates in are mostly illusions. But we “can’t do anything about it,” so we might as well profit from these illusions while we can, right?
It has been said that during the economic collapse of the 1930s that the Great Depression was a depression only for the 30 percent of people that had lost everything. For the employed and the financially secure, the depression was much like any other time. This is the point at which we stand today in the collective mindset. With nearly a third of the U.S. population kicked off the unemployment rolls and approximately half the country dependent on a government check of some kind for their survival, the current depression is only now beginning to feel like a depression for anyone. The soup lines have received a fresh candy coating of EBT cards and welfare payments, but the illusion is finally fading, and this should be of great concern to us all in 2015.
Even more frightening is our culture’s deluded sense of what a collapse actually looks like. For many, collapse is a cinematic and overnight affair, with zombies, nuclear bombs and mass panic. In real life, and throughout history, collapse is a process. Since at least 2008, the U.S. and the rest of the world have been experiencing that process. Everyone is waiting for equities to implode and for social unrest to erupt before they take the threat seriously, but these are not signals of collapse. These are the things that occur when a collapse has run its course. Collapse never occurs overnight. It takes years for the effects of social and fiscal breakdown to be visibly felt. And when they are felt, many people refuse to notice. Eighty years ago, America was halfway through the Great Depression, and mainstream economists were STILL claiming that recovery was right around the corner. Illusion and self-deception can be so powerful that the worst miseries can be normalized, at least for a little while.
And it isn’t only the general public that is stricken with crippling bias. There are those within the liberty movement who have bought into false paradigms for various reasons, and this threatens any progress we have made over the past several years. There are those who still think that the “conflict” between Eastern and Western politicians and banking elites is somehow real. There are those who believe that Russia and China, despite their numerous and undeniable ties to the global banking syndicate (information I have covered in multiple articles over the years), are the "good guys", while Western nations are the "bad guys", rather than them all being mere subsidiaries and franchises of the same monstrous globalist machine.
They hold onto this illusion, I think, because it is much more frightening to accept the reality that we are alone, that the liberty movement is the first and last line of defense against centralization, that the responsibility for the future of independence and individual freedom rests on our shoulders. It is much easier to fantasize that there are others out there, nations and governments with armies and capital, that are on our side and will fight our battles for us. This illusion will be a painful one for many in the movement as they begin to realize that the East is actually working in tandem with international financiers instead of working against them.
There are also those in the liberty movement who cling to the notion that the fight against globalism will be won without physical conflict. They believe that if we simply protest long enough, play the political and legal game long enough, nullify long enough, refuse to participate long enough, that the elitist edifice, an edifice which has existed for centuries and has manipulated historical precedence for just as long, will suddenly disappear in a puff of fairy dust.
The first problem with this strategy is that it relies on the assumption of time. Sure, anything is possible given ample opportunity. Perhaps the movement could grind away at the New World Order over the course of several decades until the majority of the masses are awake and aware (which is exactly how long it would take). However, I think it infinitely foolish to presume that we have decades to accomplish such a task. If the past has shown us anything, it is that tyranny does not respect reason and, at a certain point, couldn’t care less about image. Tyranny respects only power. It does not respect the protestations of ants it can crush under foot, but it will make a wide path around a rattlesnake ready to strike. While there is utility in the pursuit of intellectual and philosophical combat, if you are not willing to be the rattlesnake as well, then you are not going to affect change against such an opponent. You will eventually be stepped on.
The refusal to accept responsibility for one’s own defense is yet another product of fear — fear that the enemy is too powerful, that all resistance is futile. But resistance is only assured failure if resistance is never undertaken. Sheeple defeat themselves within their own minds before they ever stand up, and so they never stand. This is the only reason totalitarian elements ever achieve success. Again, many in the liberty movement are going to face a rude awakening when they realize they have relied too much on the notion of the system policing itself, instead of preparing for the worst-case scenario.
And finally, the globalists themselves suffer from a veritable fog of illusions to which I can speak only briefly.
We are stepping over the threshold of an age that will shatter the illusions of everyone, and the internationalists are no exception. The root pillar of elitist globalism itself is that some men are born to rule, while other men are born to serve. Some men are born kings, and other men are born slaves. The psychopathy of this belief system should be evident, but psychopathy also elicits blinding ego and hubris, which smothers any inherent questions of motive. I do not think the elites ever actually consider the validity of their own philosophies. I am relatively certain their manner of viewing the world is much like that of a cult, a religious sect driven by the brutality of zealotry rather than the empowering nature of understanding.
Such men cannot be reasoned with. In fact, zealots often revel in their ability to trample all other world views as they grasp for complete dominance of their ideology. The illusion of rightness is far more important to them than actual truth, and this is their greatest weakness. Hidden under all the posturing and power grabbing, deep in the recesses of their own assumed omnipotence, I sense an ever present terror within the globalist culture. I sense a brand of terror that comes only from the seed of doubt.
The incredible array of propaganda leveled at the public, the constant war gaming and mind gaming against the citizenry, the endless hailstorm of legal maneuvering designed to erase our sense of connection with our natural rights and liberties, the tidal wave of fearmongering, and all the manipulations and scapegoats and elaborate theatrical displays, all reek of fear. For if the globalists were truly as omnipotent as they pretend to be — if they really were all-knowing philosopher kings born to rule — then they would already have their New World Order. They would not need lies. They would not need the threat of force. The undeniable power of their ideology would be enough if their ideology actually had any validity. Lies are designed to hide lack of validity and lack of strength. The globalists are, at bottom, a hollow shell desperately clamoring for substance.
What may appear to be the "thoroughness" of the elitist con is actually a form of micro-management that exhibits a fundamental doubt of success. The globalists wish they could predict the future, but they cannot. So they are just as afraid as most of humanity. I believe we are entering an era in which they will feel the stark pain of shattered illusions and the destruction of their own fantasies, no less felt than the pain of the rest of the world.
Our mission as an opposing force to globalism is to come to terms with our own illusions and to erase them, to stop compromising and to stop waiting for the final shoe to drop and to take positive action now rather than after the endgame develops. This means preparation and organization for the worst-case scenarios. This means making one’s family, neighborhood and community as self-reliant and secure as possible. The excuses have to stop. The distractions and intellectualized silver bullet solutions have to stop. Hard work and risk are all that are left, all that matters. If we do this, and if we do this now, then victory is possible. In any contest of strength and will, he who knows himself best, he who sheds all illusion, will be the winner.

Hate to say it but Violence SOLVES problems. And the nuts in control, ain't gonna let go without a HELL of a fight.

GET YOUR MONEY OUT OF CITIBANK (1) and (2) ALL THE OTHER BANKS!
1. Bonds Pay 0
2. The stock market will start tanking and pay -25%
3. Citibank will fail under it's derivatives exposure and it will do so by design as they are now back stopped by the US Goverment's latest bail in laws.
4. The coming BANK ACCOUNT FREEZES WILL GIVE NO WARNING!!
5. People who are left who are panicing in the coming bank run will have nowhere left to go, the doors on the banks will simply be shuttered with armed guard guarding it all - many who are savvy now will flee to gold. Physical will double in price while asset prices around it will collapse - giving it a 10 fold increase in buying power.
THE US CITIZENS WILL BECOME A CAPTIVE AUDIENCE VIA SEIZED BANK ACCOUNTS IN THE COMING CITIBANK BAIL IN (CONTAGION TO SPREAD TO ALL BANKS) EN MASSE TO THE GREATEST THEFT OF WEALTH IN HISTORY.
Run for your financial lives!!!!
Ask yourself this? If the United States wasn't trying to put a Iron Curtain of capital flight control around every single citizen from trying to get their wealth out - why do they have 300 IRS agents alone working in Panama just to catch the dodgers?! Everyone in the United States is sitting in a captured market!! When the bank freeze comes which it will - the US citizen will not be able to get any wealth out!! It has to be hidden IN COUNTRY.
Hiding US dollars in a suitcase buried in your back yard may work only temporarily but history shows that all fiat currencies fail and the rate is usually within 24 months of any hyperinflationary onset. How many people have heard of stories of cases where hidden suitcases in hidden Weimer Republic German marks being found!! It cannot survive but physical gold will!

What kind of violence? Like that one in French revolution? How that ended for the "leaders of revolution" and for the country? BTW the orchestrators get away unscratched.

Regardless of the source, it is infact true.
There are many illusions and all are simply control mechanisms created by the control freaks. If you had to ask this question you are one of the many who are not awar of them, therefore you are a victim of them . So set yourself free and simply understand them! or stay in the dark and do nothing or whatever you do ? which may be nothing ? I explain it all in great detail at my site
Ahmed Merabet was a 42-year old policeman working with a bicycle unit at the local police station who was on patrol when he was shot in cold blood by two of the gunmen as they left the building. In a video which has now been removed from the Internet, one of the attackers can be seen shooting Merabet in the head as he pleads for his life on the ground after being wounded. Merabet, a Muslim, leaves behind a partner, according to the police union.
For him it was a reality.
Not again!

Nobody ever listens to Q99X2 (hint look at the symbol). I've been trying to tell people that since I got here.
Your message is that you are a potty mouth?

And I have a hooked nose.
"The structure of history is held together by two essential and distinct kinds of links, two moments in time to which no one is immune: moments of epiphany, and moments of catastrophe."
I would argue catastrophe (eventually) brings about epiphany. The real question is this. Does our epiphany come about by force (catastrophe) or by introspection and self examination? This holds true regardless of whether we are discussing individuals or groups.
It can be argued both ways but it eventually comes down to outcome and the amount of passivity in the population.
"Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule." - Friedrich Nietzsche, German philosopher
One wonders.....if the group is insane and the individuals within the group are for the most part sane, then is the 'group' a sentient being which can, and does, develop its own type of insanity?
Or are we all terribly insane and this individual insanity intensifies when gathered together in groups?
If everyone is insane (I contend we are and have been for many millennium) I seriously question how any individual (or group of individuals) could devise a test to determine if someone is sane or insane. The very basis for forming a 'sanity' test is that the person(s) creating and administering the test is/are sane, a demonstratively faulty premise to begin with.
One wonders.....if the group is insane and the individuals within the group are for the most part sane, then is the 'group' a sentient being which can, and does, develop its own type of insanity?
Yes, this is correct
We are insane. Desperately so. We kill each other over creation myths. Our lifelong concern is with the aquisition of inanimate objects. We destroy our world as if we have a spare. We poison ourselves deliberately. We lie and manipulate daily. We hate and hate and hate.
The only yardstick by which to measure our insanity is reason, but we shun reason when it reveals how diseased our precious egos are. Much better to ignore these insanities and be considered sane.
Collective insanity is a fallacy - there is no borg like hive mind controlling the collective, it is just another expression of individual insanity. We prefer to externalise so we can go on ignoring the extent of own disease and continue to comfortably defer responsibility.
Our species very is sick indeed.
Agreed. We are a flawed species, who seem determined to destroy each other and our environment.
We seem to thrive upon insignificant differences that are largely the consequence of Ego and the desire to control the world around us. We create argument and divisivness where mutual respect and cooperation would otherwise accomplish enormous benefit for mankind.
Many of us would like to leave the World a better place than what we found it, however I fear that the desire to impose our will and/or philosophy upon others through the unnecessary application of violence will be our undoing.
Man cannot destroy the environment. Man is not creating pollutants, neither did a Big Bang. It's all bullshit propaganda from the evil ruling class to take our shit. Ask a greenie why is it that the banned freon was recovered and sent to China to use. Their Great Wall doesn't seal that gas in, it travels the planet freely.
The universes are infinite, time is infinite, the base 10 math system is flawed, the undiscovered true system would have no imaginary numbers but could define every progression, including infinity. Physics is so elementary in understanding that the brains cannot even understand gravity. That's as fundamental as a chemist not understanding oxygen and water.
We grunts allow an elected few to control us which are only a class of selfish, murdering , Farqued up psychopaths. Governments are the bane of man. Eliminate them all and everyone would prosper.
You touch on another important point. It grates my nerves when people prattle about how "We" did wrong and "We" need to atone. I refuse to hold myself accountable for the twisted cons of psychopaths. The key to understanding collective insanity lies in the word 'collective.' THE COLLECTIVE IS THE TRAP: people willfully abrogate their responsibility to think critically and discriminate truth for themselves, opening the door to Groupthink and enabling psychopaths to hijack the group and redirect its resources to serve lies and gain power. Agenda 21 is a classic example: environmental altriusm hijacked to serve environmental Al Qaeda. The greatest vulnerability of oligarchical collectivism lies in the fact that it depends on the COLLECTIVE. Break the collective, and you take power away from psychopaths. War on a personal level is fought one bit of independent action at a time. Think for yourself. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Escape From Freedom - Erich Fromm (1941)
Reason requires stillness, reflection, mindfulness, analysis. Everything not found today. Those few who I have had interactions with these characteristics don't do such things as you speak. So why is this person so rare? Because most are sucked in and hooked by superficial pleasures which distract from deeper issues. Today, unlike any other time in history has a never ending series of distractions that can turn the mind. And they appeal to all at every age. There is no place to hide without the beckoning come on from infinite whores.
However, underneath, people long for connection and meaning. So much hate and lashing out is a response of their own emptiness. If I can hate you and blame you for all my difficulties than I don't have to face the inward demons and take responsibility. If I align myself with those that think as I do, then it is reinforced.
A wise person told me there are 5 things that are key to develop in yourself to have a fulfilled life. Integrity, Authenticity, Vibrancy, Spirituality
and Sanctuary. I was willing to listen. Whenever you are ready the teacher will appear and the journey out begins.

10 things the media won’t be talking about after the Paris terror attack
11. Your stupid blog.
Please stop the incessant pimping. It just makes you look desperate.
Miffed another excellent post I painted a target (so to speak) on my back 30 years ago I despise the status quo and abbhor ass kissers no man or his thoughts are the same the only hope is that they take many roads that converge upon the same destination (the road less travelled per say) right now the masses are on the proverbial "highway to hell" and no ones watching the road , to the many on less traveled roads all I can say is pay attention to the "signs" else you be going the wrong way too.
"I painted a target (so to speak) on my back 30 years ago I despise the status quo and abbhor ass kissers"
Me too. I will admit I don't have many friends. It is a lonely road but Buddha did say it is best to travel alone than have a fool for company. Sometimes it's just pointless to illuminate the road for anyone else. People just grab on tighter to the rails on their own road and won't even consider contemplating.
I once met a fascinating person at a coffee shop ( for some reason this is where I tend to meet interesting people). I couldn't believe it! We shared so many interests,PMs, dangers of big Pharm, Sickcare, economic collapse. A kindred spirit. I launch into my dreams of waking up the masses and turning this all around. Surprisingly, he disagreed. Who am I to know what the path is for others? Maybe their way is simply walking off the cliff and who are you to dictate otherwise? Just stay awake and walk your path, if they ask, respond. If they walk by with blinkers on, leave them be. I was a little dismayed at this but, over the years, I have found his approach to be best.
Hat tip to a kindred spirit.
Miffed
"who are you to dictate otherwise?"
This is very advaita, not sure if I agree, it is infuriating that we have the capacity to rise above our basic survival urges and childish egotism and at least reduce some needless suffering. But then again your fat friend under the bodhi tree did say that life is suffering.
Sadly for me even if I travel alone I'm still accompanied by an idiot, but then I truly believe that Socrates' admission of ignorance was the wisest thing a human has ever said.
Buddha did say Life was Suffering. However, I do not thing this was meant as a necessity for our existence, decreed by some higher power. I believe it was meant as an observation, a statement of fact, just as I do when I culture a specimen from a toe and observe a bacterium causing an infection. In observing suffering, he wished to free us from it and sought a path out.
I certainly don't claim I am a good Buddhist, though I am fascinated with his teachings. My admittance enjoying sensual pleasures is proof of this. Buddha has shown they can be the source of unhappiness and one should strive to free oneself from them and I have seen the validity of his argument. But the evening sitting by a crackling fire after a delicious meal with a fine scotch and a loving man just is too wondrously delightful.
Agreement is not necessary and I hope the time spent with your " idiot" is less painful and mercilessly short lived.
Miffed
Dup. Crazy iPad
Good stuff Miffed, thanks.
My emptiness ain't causing shit. Outside stimuli beyond my control is my problem.
Hooked on superficial pleasures? You betchie, don't you like to get laid?
Spirituality in excess is the cause of most problems, especially Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Speaking of long timelines, things including philosophical ramblings don't mean shit, we're all gonna croak. Everyone has to seek his own happiness, I suppose that includes self mesmerization. That doesn't work for me. "Hard work and hard living" are my tickets.
Stay on your path, Miffed, you're doing well.
I love getting laid ;-) and yes, I do enjoy superficial pleasures but I am not hooked on them. There is a difference. As they occur, I experience them to the to the fullest. As they wane, I bid them goodbye and savor their memory. I remain me and allow all these energies pass through. I have found this has given me great Joy.
Hard work and hard living is your Way. Savor it my friend and enjoy.
Miffed;-)
religion is not spirituality
being religious is not being spiritual
But what is it called when one knowingly goes along with the insanity? When one understands that all around them are insane, or running in tandem in some parallel universe, yet have given up on drawing attention to the insanity..even knowing it will not end well..for anyone. Would that be sane?
Depends on whether you have reason to believe that you can change those around you.
(Or should -- see Miffed's post above.)
"Would that be sane?"
If it was a survival mechanism, sure - better to fade away than burn out completely - especially if they come back again after a rest.
The epiphany would follow either an event or the culmination of a slow collapse. When much of what people take for granted no longer functions or applies they experience cognitive dissonance. Some will move into a panic response whereas others will awaken to their potential and find the resolve to seek rational solutions to the problem(s) at hand. Many will be somewhere in between.
Necessity is the mother of invention. For many citizens, there has been no real need for critical thought as their basic survival was almost assured. Privation will require critical thought. It will be nothing less than an epiphany for those who are successful in meeting their own needs and contributing to their communities, merely; by not being a burden.
My guess is the epiphany (for most) occurs around the nadir of institutional dysfunction. Some communities will see more cognitive dissonance than others. Areas that have large populations reliant upon institutional support for basic needs will see the greatest change.
the epiphany usually only comes via the forced issue, but not alway , just 90% of the time ? The self introspection is more powerful and frequent than many realize. But you could not realize that if you are still consumed and controlled in the illusions. Good on Ya ! and the link is up .
The incessant writing of pessimistic mea culpas implies that you're not BTFD.
You have to buy the dip. If you don't then you are a fucking idiot. (0:30) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0akBdQa55b4
(3:10) God damn right you are missing something. It's not a pyramid scheme you idiot it's a buy the dip scheme...
JSUABTFDYFI!
The Fed has engineered quite an illusion. Millions took the red pill and they are blissfully counting the billions of virtual dollars the Fed has handed them. Until they become part of a different ‘reality’ there is prosperity, new SUVs in every driveway, more McMansions, new HDTVs, new toys everywhere. And, since the debt is all part of the illusion, it doesn’t really exist either. It is a just another bright sunny day, if they say so.
Fuck this Red and Blue Pill shit.
I want the Bankster Pill.
I don't think that we will ever give up our illusions.
We will just create new more ludicrous ones.
We will just create new more ludicrous ones.
Like WW III will solve all our problems, that we - or anyone - can actually WIN such a war, and that nuclear exchanges are survivable?
Hell. We've killed the planet - why NOT end it quickly?
"We've killed the planet"
What an idiotic notion.
Idiots with that notion, should feel free to end it quickly...for themselves, at least.
Yes, nuclear exchanges are survivable and winnable. Particularly now that nuclear arsenals have been drastically reduced. The theft of the W-88 warhead design has led to other nations deploying smaller, more precise weapons that yield much less megatonnage than before.
Cut the net damage from any one weapon, cut the total number of weapons, and you end up at a point where some people probably are convinced that nuclear war is both fightable and winnable. Including me, obviously.
America had an effectively huge advantage over the rotting post-Soviet arsenal that has been destroyed by treaties that traded non-functional Russian weapons for fully-operational American ones and thus erased the fear factor that others might have in challenging the US.
Given the later theft of the MX plans and the effective mothballing of the once-serious US ABM effort, we now live in a world where China and Russia are both deploying 10-warhead MX variants while the US scrapped every one of ours. The next President will need to engage in a vast program of rearmament, which leaves a two-year window of vulnerability with BO on the throne.
Not since the mid-70s has the likelihood of a strategic nuclear exchange been any greater than today. Whether you want to fight one or not, the potential for such a conflict is very high.
Nukes are obsolete by a new class of advanced electromagnetic weapons, and have been for decades. Nukes can be dudded in a matter of minutes, turned inert by them. That's not the only thing these new weapons can do. They can cancel every electrical signal/nerve impulse in your body rendering you instantly limp and dead. They can either boil or turn you into a block of ice, instantly. On the subtle side, they can induce any disease in your body, and they can alter your thoughts without you knowing.
Hey, semperfi
Any ideas on where a regular guy can find out more about these incredible weapons you are describing? Maybe a link...
I've been trying to put together something just like this on my own for years in the workshop out back of the house.
475kt is still a mind numbingly stupid huge explosion. It should also be noted that 2MT is not going to do twice the damage as 1MT. The hardened underground targets would also get hit with ground bursts, which means lots of fallout in those areas. You REALLY do not want to be down wind from the missile silos. The infrastructure that the power grid relies on would take significant damage. Aside from the fireball, intense IR and blast, you get ground effect stuff that would likely send a huge spike through the grid, wiping other stuff out.
Also, FYI, while they don't deploy them with 14 warheads, the Trident II is capable of carrying that many.
@ tarabel
Judge ye less ye be judged!
However am looking at you avatar and it appears the botox has seeped into what's left of your brain. In fact, the amount of botox holding your mug together could probably fill up to 3 weapons of mass destruction. You must lead a terribly lonely life; maybe your 3rd husband took off with a younger more stable model, and who could blame him?
@tarabel, Was you born yesterday?
The critical point here is not whether this is true but whether the neocons believe it to be true.
The net-out money quote:
" as they begin to realize that the East is actually working in tandem with international financiers instead of working against them."
Since 2011 I have stated China becoming reserve currency is a feature not a bug. 38 biggest CB's now denominating in Yuan in 2014 oh also the IMF. And deapite what your valient intentions are Brandon hell yes you should profit off it.
Milton Friedman was brilliant in suggesting there should be no reserve currency and all currencies float freely.
It leads to empiricism and misery for half the globe every time. Some of his theories are political bullshit to support the CB model in general but not this one.
But man goes with the devil he knows until that is we learn from terrible pain. Welcome to evolution. Evolve or die. Doesn't mean I always like that realization.
"The Third World War must be fomented by taking advantage of the differences caused by the "agentur" of the "Illuminati" between the political Zionists and the leaders of Islamic World. The war must be conducted in such a way that Islam (the Moslem Arabic World) and political Zionism (the State of Israel) mutually destroy each other. Meanwhile the other nations, once more divided on this issue will be constrained to fight to the point of complete physical, moral, spiritual and economical exhaustion…We shall unleash the Nihilists and the atheists, and we shall provoke a formidable social cataclysm which in all its horror will show clearly to the nations the effect of absolute atheism, origin of savagery and of the most bloody turmoil. Then everywhere, the citizens, obliged to defend themselves against the world minority of revolutionaries, will exterminate those destroyers of civilization, and the multitude, disillusioned with Christianity, whose deistic spirits will from that moment be without compass or direction, anxious for an ideal, but without knowing where to render its adoration, will receive the true light through the universal manifestation of the pure doctrine of Lucifer, brought finally out in the public view. This manifestation will result from the general reactionary movement which will follow the destruction of Christianity and atheism, both conquered and exterminated at the same time." 4
GET RID OF SECRET SOCIETIES AND THERE WILL BE NO CRISIS
If they're so secret, how do you know about them? Unless....
"secret society" doesn't implie they are hidden just there agenda and operational methods are thus the secret part ah kinda like obozos secret service eh? stop being stooopid LOL

I do not think the plans of a incompetent Confederate General should be taken too seriously.
There is something to it, but, how much?
Sinnedi - The Illuminati of old was the time of Galileo who was jailed for his supposed blasphemy that the planets orbited the sun and calling for debate. The Illuminati of that time were fellow scientists, called alchemists that studied dimensions and science in general and hid underground against oppressive religious government (shocker I know). Such now in any secret societies have little in commen with the Illumaniti, but they sure are resembling the religious oppressive governments of there day.
History ryhmes but the good news is we do evolve, particle physics is not outlawed in our era. Rulership today are more exclusiclve clubs but fortunately do not despise science as in the time of Galileo.
Dang solar storm. Can't say we weren't warned about it, or were we?
Oh, my goombas. A couple of points.
1) If we truly are capable of evolution, then SOMEBODY needs to come up with a new canard other than that tiresome History Rhymes thing that everybody spouts.
2) I don't think particle physics was outlawed in the 16th century for the good and sufficient reason that it didn't exist yet. Let's just admit that new ideas are always greeted with scepticism by the constituted authorities and it takes time to convince them otherwise. True then. True now. History rhymes, right?
3) Rulership does not despise science. So governments tout the benefits of a glass of wine with dinner, do they? Look at the extreme politicization of the grant process. Agree with us and here's your money. Disagree with us and not just no money but a stinging peer review on your last project that ruins your career.
4) If you think that current governments aren't religious-- as in wedded to a specific, not-to-be-questioned orthodoxy regardless of the presence of God in it or not-- well, I just don't believe you.
I'm probably the least likely person to defend the church, but Galileo really did go out of his way to piss the Vatican off after getting some surprisingly even handed treatment from them. I agree though, secret societies such as the Masons do have their roots in alchemical/Hermetic/Gnostic thought and spirituality - the mystery traditions are rich and fascinating, but as far as I can tell they've shunned western mysticism and have evolved into little more than a networking club for the well connected.
My illusions were shatterered in 2008.
I have not read the story yet, but my response is as angry as In The Mix!
Now I will read the story and get moar madder.
In the words of Styx:
Welcome to the grand illusion
But don't be fooled by the radio
The TV or the magazines
They'll show you photographs of how your life should be
But they're just someone else's fantasies
So if you think your life is complete confusion
'Cause you never win the game
Just remember that it's a grand illusion
True 40 years ago, true today.
Too much truth coming out of Styx. So much so that they sicced Tipper Gore's Parents Music Resource Center on them.
Make sure you build that app for iShame OS7 developer webdriver for iTunes exploitation. You won’t migrate shitty data collection applications past your Apple phone. Might be time to show the phone software invulnerabilities, including Apple cloud.

The delusion is that a superman will be delivered to save the elites, or save the sheeple, or save everyone. The ignorant believe the ignorant can distinguish which superman to follow. The horrid reality is that there is no god, nor destiny, nor plan of nature which values any men or man.
"There are those who still think that the “conflict” between Eastern and Western politicians and banking elites is somehow real. There are those who believe that Russia and China, despite their numerous and undeniable ties to the global banking syndicate (information I have covered in multiple articles over the years), are the "good guys", while Western nations are the "bad guys", rather than them all being mere subsidiaries and franchises of the same monstrous globalist machine."...
I use to feel the same way. But that was before I saw my own government kill it's own 13 1/2 years ago to start wars of choice to loot, rape and murder other Countries and worst of all change it's whole legal system based on those events to kill more of their own and everyone else that gets in the U.S. government's way!
Haven't seen Russia or China do that to it's own, nor pick a fight with the U.S. on it's territorial borders which would provoke a nuclear holocaust if they did! One is most definitely a psychopathic creature determined towards it's own self destruction. The other two are most certainly "not" and demonstrate every day that they want to create stable and prosperous market(s) with a valued currency that their trading partners also desire!
Which one would you pick ias the delusional nut case in this "line up"?...
So now it's official! You can stop saying they all drink from the same fucking cup!
Nemo - For most of the 20th century China is a geopolitical hedge against Russia. If WW3 starts I have no concerns which way the Dragon's winds will blow. That doesn't excuse a lot of blunders by our American rulership. In the last twenty years it has begun to stink and the hypocricy is the worst of all.
During the 20th Century, the international banksters controlled Russia and China so that those countries engaged in massive democides. In the 21st Century it may become America's turn to have that done to them?
Radical! Such brevity! I'm gobsmacked! :-)
Hah!
Ever get Stabbed with a Pitch fork ? that's real baby...
Speaking of illusions...let's see, what things can't be said of Russia anymore, but CAN be said of the US?
1 - run by Godless communists
2 - aggressor nation
3 - spies on its own people (OK, prolly still can say that about Russia)
4 - leader looking to raise nation to former glory
5 - run by Rothschilds and AIPAC
6 - seeking to remove Christian influence from society
7 - up to it's arse in debt
8 - ???
Any others?
What agenda is served by perpetuating lies and suppressing the facts which expose it, unto eternity ?
I am already on record, from the beginning, as not being a supporter of Mr. Putin who many in the “truth movement” and “peace movement” believe is so wonderful and is being demonized. I say it is all staged. What agenda is truly served by Mr. Putin’s recent actions? I think people need to think long and hard on that, and reconsider what the “truther gurus” have sold them about Hitler and National Socialism, as well as about Putin, and about the NWO agenda. Then consider the implications for themselves and for peace, truth, justice and freedom in this world, for ALL mankind.

Controlled opposition, or quabbling factions of the mafia?
Brandon Smith has said as much in his previous articles - one posted here:

The west right now is acting insane, purposefully and with malice (problem). Meanwhile, the BRICS are, by contrast, bastions of sanity. When the west pulls the plug and tips the world into darkness (reaction), the BRICS will step in with their 'solution': a new reserve currency, probably based on SDR's at first, but eventually it will become digital in scope, and fistula'd up our collective anii.
'Tis all a charade, this Hegelian dialectic play on the grandest stage yet...and Putin is no more than an actor. Those pulling his strings are in the IMF/BIS/FED etc. and those at the top will remain, though potentially wearing new hats.
Reading All Quiet on the Western Front as a young'un made a big impression on me so I tend to find the view from the other trench very interesting - I found the Justice 4 Germans stuff a while back and poured over it, very well presented stuff, the eventual re-militarisation of the Rhineland, the pre-war German appeals to allied governments and the Sudetenland perspective all food for thought, good to see you quote and link it Sub, ty. Oh, and Mr Putin's cozy little relationship with the squid has left me feeling pretty cold during the Putin man-love fests too (though 'ex'-KGB was enough for me tbh).
we are going to have to take our lumps sooner or later and the longer we put it off the more lumps
I want to hear all about this theory of Putin and the Chinese working with the bankers and I want to see the evidence that goes with it.

"The whole World could have been Willy Stark, the whole World could have been Willy Stark".
Shattered illusions? Nah, it's just another mindless, paranoid false flag that makes the deluded even more hungry for the next stupid-fix.
Shattered illusion is right. I keep going back to what I wrote a while back is that what adds to all of this is people don't know the difference between virtual and real world values any more and some of the stuff creeps out of the virtual worlds and hurts the real world. We know that one. People are so distracted and get off on these strange perceptions all the time and so much of it doesn't matter anymore. The bank and other investment algos are ruling who gets what money anymore. I keep trying to tell folks it's math and math models that shift and hide risk. Don't change the portfolio, just change the math as Quant Paul Wilmott said.
http://ducknetweb.blogspot.fr/2014/03/virtual-worlds-real-world-we-have....
Professor Siefe at NYU wrote a good book too called "virtual unreality" which is kind of a guide and a tell all of what goes on with the web. Another one of his books is called "proofiness the dark arts of mathematical deception" and I highly recommend that one. He's the #1 video at the Killer Algorithms page

Watch people on twitter, if it has some kind of stats in the articles, oh my gosh the magpie tweeters come out and a bunch of it anymore is full of spurious correlations. There's a site called that and it's satire and done on purpose by a Harvard student. He got tired of seeing them in the news all the time and created a site with a tool where you can make your own spurious correlations, i.e. what's the per capita consumption of cheese correlated to how many people die tangled up in their bedsheets..that's a wild one and there's more like it...again poking fun at what in hell some of the journalists and news agencies publish as "news". I still have the Killer Algorithms collection going and hope I get more consumers to watch the videos as they are folks smarter than me and I'm just the currator of all of it. Banks go hanging around there once in a while I think just to see what's there:) #2 video is one about Quants a documentary and all should watch that as no matter what industry they touch, they don't know when to stop and forget humans are attached to their models and code.
All the damn quants modeling health insurance policies out there is driving people nuts as it used to be just actuary models but not anymore...they get the actuary model for the long term and bring in the quants to correlate to their stock prices now..augh...most folks don't even have a clue this is what's going on there. We can't keep up with all their changes and we're not exchange data that can shift with the algos like what occurs with markets, that's for sure. We have to do things like "change your doctors" as the algorithm for cost says...doctors get fired out of network...again the algorithm says...

i personally saw over 100,000 muslims "dumped" by .gov into the twin cities. they got into the colleges with .gov money and immediately started taking over the librarys study rooms with mats praying facing east, you couldn't even study. then they formed political organizations within the college and every day was protest day. you couldn't use the changing rooms at walmart becasuse some somali was always in there praying. ....................and where did the 911 pilots take their flying lessons??? right there just outside the twin cities. nice.
france and sweden have areas where the you cant even enter because the muslims have taken over.... its utter appeasement by the socialists.
is that what obama whats for the u.s?
i think france's only hope is mass deportations....
Daughter went to UM for Masters and it tis true - they own that university.
i wonder why the zionists hate the norweigns so much?
they've done the same thing to Sweden and its no secret that the twin cities / northern united states is pretty scandanavian.
I guss they view the Norweigian as very 'PURE' and do not like that.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The most cogent article I have read in quite a while(besides Mr Cog).
You said just about everything I think and try to get across to my family. This will not be easy. And I do not know if I or those who are closest to me will have the fortitude to make it right. I can only count on a max of 10-15 % of the people. Everyone else, including the elites will be lost. Can we make it more right? We must!
I had a paradigm shift about 2 1/2 yrs ago the third one in my life. ZH played a big part and the knowledge I gained from posters. There is another one coming; whether it be tomorrow or in 2032 at the latest, I hope that me and my family are prepared.
I just thank you for your words of truth, encouragement, lucidity and wisdom.
But for tonight: Prosit!!(Shiner Premium)
Just spread the word. The plan is a card house blown down by a central planner's cranking their penis by creating unforgettable wind turbulence to blow the whole card house stack down. Blaming it on a new CIA rag tag Islam crew is the plan, so no one exits the petrodollar in fear or destitute to swap oil trade currency.
"and try to get across to my family."
The way to do it imo is don't hit people with too much at once or they'll overload and blank it all - just one or two small points at a time and then build it up over time.
Just anohter nutbar yammering about conspiracy theories.... And by the way, and any members of the "liberty movement" who look to Russia and China as saviors really need to re-examine how they label themselves.
Either you are some kind of troll, heywood2, or else you have never bothered to do any significant amount of your own research, or else you would become more self-conscious when using the phrase "conspiracy theories" in the way that you did.

Embedded inside that article is a link to a copy of the declassified document about how "conspiracy theory" was promoted by the government through mass media.

CIA Document #1035-960
RE: Concerning Criticism of the Warren Report
"3 b. To employ propaganda assets to [negate] and refute the attacks of the critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose. The unclassified attachments to this guidance should provide useful background material for passing to assets."
See also:
Mark Crispin Miller's 2005 book, Fooled Again.
Or, for another example:
Conspiracy Theory in America by political scientist Lance deHaven-Smith, published by the University of Texas Press. The term was invented and put into wide circulation by the CIA to smear and defame people questioning the JFK assassination!
“The CIA’s campaign to popularize the term ‘conspiracy theory’ and make conspiracy belief a target of ridicule and hostility must be credited, unfortunately, with being one of the most successful propaganda initiatives of all time.”
In other words, people who use the term “conspiracy theory” as an insult are doing so as the result of a well-documented conspiracy by the CIA! (Which itself, of course, was a criminal activity for the CIA agents doing it, at that time.)
the CIA didn't invent it all.
The first conspiracy theory in diplomacy was enacted by Venice during the Franco-Ottoman alliance.
Charles V accused François I of France of being in conspiracy with Ottoman Soliman the Magnificent to carve up Italy between them using the Doge of Venice, Andrea Gritti, as go between. Gritti's son Alvise Gritti was Venice's resident plenipoteniary at the Sublime Port (Istanbul) and he accompanied Soliman in his conquests of Hungary and attack on Pressbourg and Vienna. Soliman named him Governor of Hungary subsequently.
So the Venitians had their own man as ally of Soliman and ruler of Christian Hungary.
That Franco-Ottoman alliance went down in History as the first Machiavellian diplomatic strategy seen in Europe; aka the enemy of my enemy is my friend. A French King, direct descendent of Saint Louis and Catholic monarch at home, had crossed the ideological Rubicon to ally himslef with an Infidel in his fight against a Catholic Emperor !
Jumping Holy Josaphat!
That changed the nature of diplomacy in the West.
Its been a repeat performance since then as Machiavelli rules the roost in "read my lips' --not look at what I do-- princely logic! amongst our elected.
Of course, if we go back to Greek times we have the example of Alcibiade, Athenian Prince who became ally of Sparta in a conspiracy against his Athenian rivals.
excellent point
don't mistake (my alleged ancestor) Alcibiades as the only Athenian that was frendly to Sparta, though. The whole aristocracy of Athens was, particularly if very conservative
Critias (the oncle of Plato) and the Fifty Tyrants were Sparta-friendly. As well as even moderate aristocrats like Aristophanes (cue in the comedy of Lysistrata)
and Alcibiades had an excellent reason to stay for a while in Sparta, as he himself noted: he had opportunity to get in the bed of one of the Spartan Queens, and try to sire a future Spartan King
Alcibiades was the original Machiavelli ;-)
Ghordius,
I hope you are as handsome as Alcibiades was !
He had all Athens at his feet during his victory ceremonials after winning his chariot races.
Some ancestor!
What you state is conspiracy in the sense of collusion to plan a physical action, which was once its true meaning. Conspiracy as a word to describe an alternative theory or point of view (not necessarily shared with anyone) is not what you describe.
Vague lines, easy to exploit, probably why they very successfully have done.
Guy Fawkes comes to mind on first account.
The Illuminati on second...
I prefer fact to innuendo (until it becomes fact thru acts!)
Conspiracy; from the word conspire; a Latin word; To breath together.
Ever since man gathered in groups for protection, some selfish prick has been tying to get a larger portion of the brontosaurus for himself.
Humans by their very nature are selfish beings. Those few in history who are not are the exception to the rule.
For sure, forwardho, "conspiracies" are as old as human beings (as well as could be done by any other self-aware beings). However, the use of the phrase "conspiracy theory" in American culture can be studied by a content analysis of the mass media.
That is what Crispin did in his book Fooled Again, which was about electoral fraud. He found that people to whom he presented the evidence for electoral fraud would knee-jerk dismiss that as being just another "conspiracy theory." Therefore, he researched that phrase, emerging as an insult in American culture, and found that the popularization of that phrase had a clear history in the American mass media, which saw it developed after the President Kennedy assassination. Furthermore, that usage could be traced back to the CIA using their media assets in order to make that happen.
Thus, the sublime irony that most people who use the phrase "conspiracy theory" as a dismissive insult are doing exactly what the CIA intended on them doing!
(Which ironic idiocy was expressed by heywood2 above, but who is probably the kind of person who will never become aware of that?)
Correct! I had that debate last night. The use of the phrase immediately gives away a complete lack of understanding or research into anything whatsoever, and hangs a huge 'gullible' sign on its user.
"and any members of the "liberty movement" who look to Russia and China as saviors really need to re-examine how they label themselves."
That's what the article says.
"Hard work and risk are all that are left, all that matters."
I guess Brandon has no room for LOVE in his life...
Today was a nice illusion in France. And the bleating sheep fell right in line behind Charlie Hebdo. Je suis Charlie. It never amazes me how many people have no clue what they are doing and what it means. Like the Ice Bucket Challenge. The great deceiver doesn't seem to have to try very hard to deceive
"Remember, I have given you authority; so you can trample on snakes and scorpions, indeed, all the Enemy's forces; and you will remain completely unharmed."
The snakes are of course the instigators of all these events. Including the impending financial one. They are everywhere and a part of every group. They are the ones that will continue to succeed in their end goal if the masses choose to remain ignorant of the spiritual battle to deceive them and obtain their unwitting support
What could go wrong? Even the best laid plans of mice, men and satan often go awry. They are almost too easy to spot now and are getting more careless every day. Prepare to be trampled snakes
This is the problem with taking ideas from the US. They invented the pseudo-science of supply side economics and exported it to the world.
Unfortunately, the US doesn’t have a lot of history and is very inward looking.
As everyone in the US planned a future (pre 2008) based on ever rising house prices, a quick look at the UK would have shown frequent house price booms and busts, the last bust being in the 1990s. (The US had just moved to UK style variable rate mortgages, it would have been an idea to look and see if it worked)
European history has been about the gradual move from:
absolute monarch -> aristocracy -> meritocracy
Interestingly, US history seems to be working in reverse:
meritocracy -> aristocracy (0.1%) -> absolute monarch
Today they are forming their aristocracy (0.1%) and when one of these families dominates they will move to an absolute monarch (following current trends).
Supply side economics is just the US aristocracies justification for their own existence.
European history clearly shows having very rich people does not lead to any trickledown effect; you just have very rich people and very poor people.
A glance at any third world country will show very rich people co-existing with the very poor, no trickledown effect.
Having an aristocracy of very rich people is new for the US, but it has been tried and tested almost everywhere else and is not a good idea.
After a few decades of supply side economics, we now have to deal with a world without its engine, which was the once relatively affluent Western consumer.
(It is hardly surprising elites around the world loved supply side economics and the idea of becoming part of the new global aristocracy.)
Regarding this:
"There are those who believe that Russia and China, despite their numerous and undeniable ties to the global banking syndicate (information I have covered in multiple articles over the years), are the "good guys", while Western nations are the "bad guys", rather than them all being mere subsidiaries and franchises of the same monstrous globalist machine."
There is PLENTY of substantial information in this more than an hour long video to demonstrate beyond any reasonable doubt that observation above is CORRECT:

China and the New World Order
... organized crime &
controlled opposition ...
Regarding the general thesis of the article by Brandon Smith, I too have been thinking that a civilization controlled by lies backed up with violence was necessarily headed towards psychotic breakdowns, in proportion to how socially successful that processes became. The more that society was dominated by systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, the more criminally insane that kind of social success became.
That notion is not new to me. Rather, for several decades I have always found that the more I learned about that, the worse it became. MOREOVER, I believe that Brandon Smith tends to insufficiently focus on the ways that the runaway destruction of the natural world is trumping the mere social polarization.
I believe it is basically correct to assert that: "The more humanity compromises vital truths in order to enjoy the comfort of illusions, the more mind-shattering it will be when those illusions fall away."
IN MY VIEW, EVERYTHING THAT BRANDON SMITH WRITES APPLIES EVEN MORE TO THE NATURAL WORLD THAN THE SOCIAL WORLD. However, he seems to focus more on the social than the natural when he writes that: "humanity is living so historically far from the bedrock of reality, political reality, social reality and economic reality that the stage has been set for a kind of full spectrum destabilization that has never been seen before."
The same concepts that are correctly applied to human problems apply even MORE to the relationship between human beings and the natural environment. The overall social pyramid systems based on enforced frauds drive attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance. I REPEAT that the more successful the social systems of backing up lies with violence become, the more criminally insane the overall effects are upon the natural world, even more than within the social world.
Again, what Brandon Smith wrote about economic collapse applies even MORE so to environmental problems: "Collapse never occurs overnight. It takes years for the effects of social and fiscal breakdown to be visibly felt. And when they are felt, many people refuse to notice."
Instead of "social and fiscal breakdown" substitute environmental and ecological breakdown, and the same point is true, only MORE SO! In that regard, I find that my attitude towards the series of articles by Brandon Smith, which were republished on Zero Hedge, are similar to almost all other featured articles, namely, I almost always regard the authors to be grossly understating how bad the situation is, and therefore, grossly overestimating the degree to which their notions of the "solutions" to those problems would be sufficient.
Human beings have developed extremely paradoxical sets of expedient "solutions" to the chronic political problems inherent in the nature of life, which became based on the maximum possible deceits and frauds. The degree to which our civilization is therefore behaving in criminally insane ways is almost impossible to overstate, and therefore, one could hardly underestimate how difficult it would be to develop better sets of solutions to those chronic political problems.
In that context, I continue to find Brandon Smith's promotion of the so-called "Liberty Movement" tickles my macabre sense of humour. Such goofy notions continue to be light years away from facing any of the basic physical and biological facts, but rather, continue to be ridiculously wrapped up in the delusions of a human centered view of the world, where the bullshit we spout to each other using our preferred magic words is more important to most of us than relatively more objective realities.
Ironically, I find that everything Brandon Smith, and guys like him, say applies even more so to themselves, in the bigger picture, although they tend to not see that, because they continue to operate more within their sense of personal approval, within their human world. Human realities have always been based on organized lies, operating robberies, and have been doing that for so long that we have been taking that almost totally for granted. The major selection pressure upon human beings have been other human beings for a long, long time, and therefore our mutual culture based on bullshit is more important to most of us than anything else, and certainly more important than the physical and biological facts, which, for most of us are only mediated through such entangled and remote steps of human culture that we barely perceive them anymore.
E.g.: The miners may encounter rocks, but they live through using money. The loggers may encounter trees, but they live through using money, and so on and so forth, throughout every other way that most human beings only touch tiny parts of the "real" world, while even then, that is only perceived and matters to them primarily through the monetary systems which are based on enforced frauds. We have fundamentally fraudulent financial accounting systems, where money is measurement backed by murder, but almost everyone doing that deliberately ignores that as much as they can, because, again, those doing the murders only touch a tiny aspect of the "real" world, while those making the public "money" supply out of nothing also only touch another tiny part of the "real" world.
All together, since civilization is controlled by systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence, which are operated by the best available professional liars and immaculate hypocrites (and the only publicly significant opposition to those established systems also operates within the same frame of reference of bullshit too), the degree to which the successes of those systems of enforced frauds have driven irreconcilable social polarization is trumped by the degree to which those systems have driven irreparable destruction of the natural world.
ENVIRONMENTAL "Collapse never occurs overnight. It takes years (or DECADES or CENTURIES) for the effects of ECOLOGICAL breakdown to be visibly felt. And when they are felt, many people refuse to notice."
I perceive nothing in Brandon Smith's "Liberty Movement" that would enable human ecology to become better integrated with industrial and natural ecologies, because that kind of political bullshit "Liberty Movement" is not remotely close to being more scientific about human beings and human civilizations. Rather, that kind of "Liberty Movement" is merely more political poetry, which has it own kind of cult that approves of that kind of bullshit, due to the long history of human culture that perfected that kind of bullshit.
Given that perspective, I almost always regard the statements of reactionary revolutionaries like Brandon Smith in the same way: while I agree with almost everything they say, I do not agree with what they do not say!

Yes, I have watched many of the "Tragedy and Hope" group's documentaries. I was favourably impressed by that group calling themselves that, because the book by that title is one of the most important and persuasive history books needed to understand the Western world during the previous few Centuries, which also dominated the rest of the world.
Nice, mainstream, people who learn more about that tend to be driven through a kind of psychotic breakdown, when they learn enough of the social facts about the degree to which the ruling classes have deliberately engaged in a war against the consciousness of those they rule over. Most nice, mainstream, people are overwhelmed by cognitive dissonance, IF something in their lives drives them towards learning that almost everything they previously believed was bullshit, which they had been systematically brainwashed to believe.
Moreover, that goes through the heart of the philosophy of science, and throughout natural languages, and therefore is way more profound that most people ever begin to become aware of, even AFTER they start to understand the ways that the ruling classes have waged war against the consciousness of those they ruled over.
In my view, nothing less than a creative synthesis of ancient mysticism with post-modernizing science is enough to asymptotically approach the degree to which human beings tend to believe in their own bullshit. In particular, I emphasize that the concept of "entropy" was inverted by the insertion of an arbitrary minus sign into the entropy equations of thermodynamics and information theory.
It is impossible to exaggerate the degree to which we are living inside of a Bizarro Mirror World, where everything appears proportionately backwards. The central principle of a real democracy ought to be the education of all citizens. However, the central principle of a fake democracy is fake education. In that context, guys like Brandon Smith have very shallow levels of understanding of the degree to which the ruling classes were controlling the world, and therefore, his notions regarding possible "solutions" are also similarly superficial.
Splitting hairs my friend. Big chunks are key when the whole thing is shit. We need to clear big chunks first. Then you can wipe the skid marks away...
I agree.
However,
what are the "biggest chunks?"
Mass extinction of species caused by humans.
There are also those in the liberty movement who cling to the notion that the fight against globalism will be won without physical conflict.
Why is this fight limited at "globalism"? In the USA it's a fight against "federalism"; it's a fight against "statism"; it's a fight against "countyism"; it's a fight against "city hall". It's, plain and simple, a fight against government.
If there is any alternative to government, that alternative should be considered first. Government solutions should be considered only as a last resort ... and in most cases that resort reveals that the issue is unsolvable.
Thinking that government was invented to solve problems instead of creating and perpetuating them is naive to say the least.
Theoretically, government at all levels has the enormous potential to solve and dispose of problems permanently but as my dad said, "if you want to make money to buy that St. Barth's condo on the beach, next to "Ile de France", then get into a business creating something you can sell to the masses every single day, something they need for eternity, like bread.
Government functions the same way. If fer instance, permanent peace was established in the Middle East, Berzerkistan, and Grenada, then the need for trillions of dollars spent on defense products and services sold to the Jews, the muslims, would no longer be necessary and the defense department would lose its power, money, and grip on the nation's treasure. And many of its jobs.
If our roads were made of really great surfacing materials, all those jobs that involve resurfacing every 5 years would disappear, and the owners of those government contracts would have to sell their yachts, mansions, and mistresses and go back to minimum wage jobs.
If they put up that stop sign at the intersection where "Joe Connected" has a thriving business, then Jane Doe down the block would grab more of it.
The innate larcenous hearts of our people nearly all of us, who get into government, guarantees a corrupt mileu forever.
It IS the Human Condition.
"Forget it Jake. It's Chinatown".
sorry forgot to read article again:
Government is a Cult. Electing Elites, the same Elites year after year is a Cult. US Monetary Policy is a Cult.
- Wall Street Banking is both a Monopoly, Banking Trust, and it is a Cult
- The US versus them Paradigm is a Cult Tool
- Propaganda in the USA sustains the Cult
- Name that Cult? Cult of Leadership by Elites
- Who are the Elites, what is their Ideology? As old as Mesopotamia, maybe Mystery Babylon is as good as any, however it is not just Liberal or just Right Wing like Neo-Cons of Zionism, they co-exist to support the banking, Financial, Political, Economic, Elitist, MIC, Military Republic with European Traditions
"every resident of the euro zone comes home to find a check in their mailbox worth over €500 euros ($597) and possibly as much as €3,000."
Yeah, bush tried this. They try this then they try something else, then in the end they recycle. History Repeats all over again. That is why they dumb us down and simplify history to benefit themselves, and control all narratives just like Sean Hannity.
Totally with you here. Except for the last bit:
"If they put up that stop sign at the intersection where "Joe Connected" has a thriving business, then Jane Doe down the block would grab more of it."
What does that mean?
I think you are better are capitalism than I am...
Attempting to illustrate that ALL levels of governmentare corrupt, even at the local level , which is likely the least so depending on size and transparency.
Recently a School board member voted to build a new school because her husband would have had inside track to build part of it although a new school as opposed to fixing up the old one, would be far cheaper for the Real Estate Tax paying public
The stop sign may allow one competitor an advantage over another. Jane might get more business if a stop sign is erected in front of her competitor, and since he is connected, the stop sign, sorely needed to prevent more accidents, does not get erected. The competitor is able to bribe officials to not put it up.
Thinking that government was invented to solve problems instead of creating and perpetuating them is naive to say the least.
Oh really? I live on a private road that serves four families. It's an unimproved road and requires continual maintenance. It's possible ... in some cultures, likely ... that three of the four families (especially those at the end of the road) would choose to pave the road and pressure the fourth family to contribute. The fourth family can refuse in the case where government is not involved. It cannot refuse where there is government involvement. Extrapolate this to a dozen famiies with one hold-out; two dozen with one hold-out; etc. Pretty soon the cultural force on the hold-out becomes unbearable.
The universal proposal is to impose government ... and then government force. The problem isn't created by government. It's created by very natural circumstances. The government solution requires the least amount of creative thinking and is quickly applied to every case there is greater than 50% consensus.
In the end, you have things like a "supreme" court deciding really big issues which are none of government's business by 5 to 4 votes along philosophical lines.
It's a very flawed system ... but very natural. The solution is to first see government solutions to problems as despicable. Then look for other solutions. It boils down to a cultural problem. The smaller the organizational units, the more likely you can find a culture that fits yours. Decentralization, not centralization, should be the order of the day.
I've been an advocate, a loud one for de-consolidation at all levels from behemoth conglomerates to bureaucracies that crush the human spirit.
I don't think we disagree about anything.
Oye... The Illusion is going strong on Boomberg this Moarning, eveything is just great here in the USA.... The rest of the world? well, not so much..Its different here, this time though.!
USA a Cult, USA an English Colony, USA a Nazi Offspring, USA a Latin American Resource like Africa, South America, Central America... Hey, maybe we are just A Labor Force, Just a Land of Lumber, Mines, and Agriculture...
USA is a Psy-Op. Repost:
Deregulation leads to misery? Many industries in the United States became regulated by the federal government in the late 19th and early 20th century. Entry to some markets was restricted to stimulate and protect the initial investment of private companies into infrastructure to provide public services, such as water, electric and communications utilities.

A Very Happy New Year to Brandon Smith and all at alt-market.com and thankyou for the inspiring articles over the past year. Keep 'em coming :-)
A magical ability have things that are not understood how they work.
Time yes is such a thing. Time does nothing. Or will you claim the substance of time consist in a chain of consecutive efforts in trying to solve a problem till that point. Not bad but you dont,
The hope for a peaceful end of a problem is our norm.
And the deal that bring in that result often is referred to be of intelligence because of having avoided the worst case scenärio a solution can drive to.
Tyranny is the pepper of war and the Svejks like the core of resistance.
The appeal to selfnessless a la provide for wife and children comrads is constrasting the joke who knows himself best would be the candidate to show up with the best solution.
The best solution doesn't go conform with the understanding of a victory on a battlefield.
That's patriarchy mindset.
If a battle decides, nothing is won. Life goes on to prepare for the next one.

That globalism is an illusion is undeniable, the idea of the divine right of kings being grafted onto a modern economy is psychologically speaking the power of people who are narcissists to appear to themselves and others as having the ability to rule by their illusions. However, to think that the difference between east and west at this time is an illusion is rediculous also. The power of history to predict the future is a massive valuable tool in understanding not a fiction. Yes, the Western economies have a history together and they have built a civilization which has been powerful. Its not an illusion. Has eastern civilization now returning for the next milennia, yes unquestionably so. the reasons are very powerful mostly having to do with the eastern mind set...they are able to deal with larger groups working together comfortably than is the western mind set which has to do with individual achievement. Does all this conflict between types of civilizations lead ultimately to a globalist mind set? Yes but its going to take a massive evolution of mankind to reach that and we are long hundreds of years from that point. To me we are seeing the decay of Western Civilization now not the emergence of globalism, to think otherwise is foolish
You keep ignoring the rebellious anti-globalists nature of gold accumulation by the BRICS as a force that will dispel the NWO eventually.
You need to watch Mike Malloney and Jim Willie on youtube to understand the return to gold-backed money after fiat currencies are rejected.
Gold is Kryptonite to the counterfeiting fiat central bankers. You keep ignoring this lesson of history. Watch Mike Mallony's Seven stages of Empire.
Fiat currency reverts back to genuine money at the end of stage seven. That's where we're at in this repeat of history.
You completely ignore the gold accumulation of the BRICS as if that promotes the globalists. On the contrary - Gold will be their Waterloo.
The conservation of matter manifested most clearly by gold is a ridiculously old-fashioned "solution" to chronic political problems, after the demonstration that matter is a form of energy. In a world that has globalized electronic money, backed by atomic bombs, the notions that we could return to gold as money is STUPID!
Money is measurment backed by murder. The only thing that gold does is change that to become the measurement of gold backed by murder.
An energy standard for money is superior to any commodity standard for money. That is especially the case because understanding human beings and civilizations as general energy system entropic pumps enabled better understanding of how and why governments are the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals.
"Gold is Kryptonite" only if you believe in childish fairy tales about super-powers. There is nothing less than better murder systems which could actually back up better monetary systems. In that context, the conservation of matter in the form of gold is no longer remotely close to being able to do that. Rather, that view is BACKWARD & REGRESSIVE!
The banking mafia operate by infecting the tallest poppy, slowly rotting it from within and then looting it. Near the end point they offer to betray their current host to the next tallest poppy to ingratiate themselves with that country's elite. This betrayal stage is what allows them to infect the new host.
Now there are currently three tall poppies and the banking mafia.
They are in the middle of the process of betraying America to China - only half completed as Anmerica is only half looted - but that betrayal would leave two big players.
Hence... betray America to China *and* start a war between Russia and America at the same time so when the dust settles the banking mafia are standing behind the throne of a new sole hegemon.
#
So yes on one level China is being manipulated by them and/or working with them and both Russia and America are being manipulated into a war.
#
However... China's best move is to take out the banking mafia before they fully cross the stream i.e. let them loot America and move it all to China but then betray them before they burrow deep into China and start rotting and looting it.
At the same time it's in both Russia and America's interests to not be manipulated into having a nuclear exchange so it's in both their interests to take out the banking mafia while they are mid stream also.
#
Lastly the taking out of the banking mafia would weaken their control of the US which is good for everyone in the US.
That's the root of their problem really - being hostile towards everyone else makes it in everyone else's interests to be hostile to them.
#
So although I agree with the general thrust of the article that preperation is the best use of time the Russia/China thing is relevant.
Ingolstadt is the youngest major city in Germany....It is also the city where Adam Weishaupt founded the Illuminati.
