"The Entire Theory Of Monetarism Is Coming Undone In Spectacular And Empirical Fashion"
Submitted by Jeffrey Snider via Alhambra Investment Partners,
The European mess is coming more into view, and in almost every case that is a negative outcome. There really isn’t much going right in Europe right now, belying everything that was said, done or proclaimed only a year ago.
Italian unemployment unexpectedly rose to a record high that’s more than double the German rate, keeping alive concerns about the diverging growth outlook in the euro area.
The jobless rate increased to 13.4 percent from a revised 13.3 percent in October, while separate data showed the euro-region rate at 11.5 percent. The reports contrast with data from Germany showing unemployment there fell to the lowest in more than two decades last month.
I highly doubt that Italy’s retrenching was “unexpected” as weakness has been obvious in the Eurozone for months now. If it wasn’t enough that credit markets are so completely distorted as to be unrecognizable to fundamental tenets of finance, then at least observing the desperation with which the ECB has operated since June would be a clue. And that raises a fundamental question about mainstream views on monetary economics, as expressed below by the New York Times in merely observing, detached, the final coming of “negative inflation.”
But the question raised by many economists is whether the European Central Bank has waited too long to act, and whether its arsenal is powerful enough to address the eurozone’s fundamental problem — a dearth of demand from businesses and consumers for goods and services.
Have not the economists noticed the constant attention on Mario Draghi this year? I find it hard to believe that everything the ECB has done to this point has slipped unnoticed even to the narrow gaze of “economists.” Rather, they likely wish that nobody would notice how everything, which has been a constant and unnatural noise emanating from that balance sheet, has simply failed to this point.
Plotting Eurozone “inflation” shows absolutely no imprint of the ECB anywhere, so maybe unfamiliar observers would be forgiven for missing all the fuss; none of the trillions in euros have mattered and that is the main point to which “economists” wish to plead ignorance (on your behalf).
The second part of that NYT quote may actually be more problematic, as if the ECB could invoke “demand” out of monetary nothingness. Aggregate demand adherents, who encompass the entire orthodox complex and nearly every major central bank (with one evolving), certainly believe that increasing credit is tantamount to conjuring “demand.” To that end, “fixing” the banking system was paramount, but we see unequivocally that there is no reciprocation, at all.
The entire theory of monetarism is coming undone in spectacular and empirical fashion, which leaves the entire status quo exposed. All that is left in defense is the same old refrain of “it wasn’t big enough.” That’s great for those in the ivory towers blinding themselves to the reality of a lost generation of Italians, Spaniards, French and now even Germans; a listing to which even the FOMC is worried may yet add Americans.
Why anyone ever expected a different outcome is due solely to unrepentant ideology, since these central banks are following almost exactly the Japanese “model.” The global economy is just following along as money dies. Though Greece will be blamed as contagion, it will ultimately be proved as Japanification by monetary proxy.

Gold works really well in these situations...
Don´t worry. Those guys in the academic ivory towers ain´t gonna get health care. They outsmarted themselves with ACA. They got Gruberized.
Is this more of question about Self Reliance vs Gov't dependency?
Silver also works well as it is money too. In these deflationary crashes, money buys more of everything.:
http://www.safehaven.com/article/36309/silver-is-it-the-lbmas-greatest-rig
Meanwhile the central bankers keep selling their snake oil while citizens are going long tar and feathers.
Not wise.
A side benefit of silver in a SHTF situation.... 30 volts, some distilled water and a couple of Canadian Silver Maples.
Coloidal silver could be your best friend.
We monetized some folks.
This MMT crapola is sooooooo far removed form Friedman & Schwartz's original work, the only semblance that they have (in common) is they both deal with "money".
MMT is a dogshit perversion of the original work, twisted in exactly the same manner as the statist water-carriers and town criers such as Krumgan have fingered Keynes' original work, in order to Justify MOAR.
Then the Street gets a hold of it and proselytizes it as Gospel for their clients, for without a new theme, there can be no justification for the institutional or retail funds to turnover, thereby generating commission.
Add into that the fact that the Street has captured hook, line and sinker, the entirety of DC and it's financials, expenditures and outlays, why would one NOT expect some perverted, inaccurate, sophist, dishonest theory spouted to maintain the entirety of the status quo?
Riddle me that, Mr Lew.
Yeah well Knucks I appreciate the further longevity other derivatives of monetary ism could bring... But Friedmans version of "monetizing folks" is on the verge of obsolescence as well... Monetary-ism in general is ultimately toast. People need to wrap their heads around this. Completely.
You covered the entire situation elegantly.
The banks and Wall Street have their empire within the empire ("Imperium In Imperio").
I wonder if the oil/energy market collapse is the tinder to burn the facade ?
Rome monatarized itself out of an empire. History rhyming?
We didn't even vote for these fuckers! They are appointed, self appointed, hired, promoted, and became the banking cartel running our lives through keynsian policies. call it what it is, the banking cartel. they are ruining nations and peoples lives.
that should get your blood boiling. their institutions and members should be singled out and dealt with one by one starting with the fed. end the fed. new monetary policy and the rest falls into place
anything short of that does nothing.
a finite money system of some sort.
these fuckers are financialy killing folks
these folks are living out night mares from not being able to live a life with a livable wage job and be productive. job doesn't exist because these fuckers have hyjacked the monetary system for their gain. plain and simple.
ps, there may be two many humans to support a growth economy living first world standards. we do not know that with current policies. jmfo.
One piece of it. Selling out your manufacturing base, debasing your currency, rewarding skullduggery in financial markets and financialization of the economy, public debt to reward crony capitalists, punishing saving and self-reliance, utilizing debt serfdom to prop the elite class, destroy the middle class, and push people into dependency. A return to the serfdom of the Middle Ages with new labels.
Ouch. I guess give up the idea of ever seeing a household with a single income earner defined as middle class. Ever.
oh, how about 100 year mortgages? or 200 year? coming to a bank near you.......
I was in Venice about 25 years ago and a local was telling me that most of the homes had 100 year interest-only mortgages.
So 200 year mortgages would not surprise me.
Going against the tide is dangerous, (pardon the pun)
As money @ 7% doubles every 10 years, the banks will have collected emough profits way before Venice sinks. (All owners will be under water litterally)

And the verdict is in...

All this nonsense talkk that central bankers actually believe in this stuff and do it to achieve mandates is such utter stupidity. the only thing that matters for them is the big banks existence moving forward, as it always was (and always will be).
this BS that the market exploded higher as a a reaction to FEDspeak is pure innocence - this is certainly orchestrated between the FED, Dudley's desk and a few major players.
"and always will be" -- the history of currencies does not support this statement.
Change is the only constant. Will sociopathes always seek out power and control? Sure, but when they actually start to lose their grip on thing is when you will find periods of great opportunity (and risk).
<<< but when they actually start to lose their grip on thing is when you will find periods of great opportunity (and risk). >>>
Yes! But unfortunately the Bankers know when and how in advance and profit in any direction. Some of us may make a well calculated guess as to how but not exactly as to when.
+1,000
All that is needed to be understood is that central bank's mission statements declare they function in order to control inflation when (in the case of the FED, since 1913) ALL they do is promote inflation. GREAT BIG LIE!
Now they have found that they can't even do that anymore.
GAME OVER
That their mandate is to control inflation does not mean that it is to remove inflation. Quite the contrary. The Fed was designed as the biggest skim operation ever. It simply doesn't want to let inflation get too high as to alert the pleebs to their fate. Much better to keep the golden goose alive and shitting golden eggs at 2 or 3 or 4% per year free money.
2% inflation as a target?
Inflation is a back-door tax, but it doesn't sound like one.
Using hindsight now we all know why the FED was created in secret by men wearing disguises during christmas break when no one was around.
Q: Why de Medicis left their profitable banking empire?
A: They had a chrystal ball!
Of Course! This market action was 100% predictable! Any attempt for the market to correct on fundamentals, is quickly met by mass Fed manipulation, using liquidity injections to major Fed allies and also by direct buying of futures.
The Fed will NOT LET the market correct.
Janet is determined to look out for you Jack.

What's wrong with a nice German Shepard? They make great warning devices and there's not so much goo and splatter to clean up. Besides, the FedEx guy really doesn't need to be blown up just taking a piss.
Miffed;-)
I have a sudden urge to break my new years resolution again.
Hold onto those charts. Sooner or later they will rotate by 180 degrees and your question will be answered.
Speaking of charts, I love how the bottom of the Y-axis on these things never seems to be zero. Choose a range that makes one variable look insignificant, the other enormous, all for dramatic effect. "How to Lie With Statistics", indeed.
Evans pulled a full Bulltard and said the FED wouldn't raise rates until 2016.
He just announced the FED PUT on day 8 of the New Year. So, BTFD, BTFATH, just Fucking Buy. They're going to keep monetizing.
by which you must mean your paper stock certificates. Given the boat accident and all...
Clearly the Italians have learned nothing from our pigmen. Just don't count your non-working people. Make them un-citizens.....sheesh, fucking amateurs.
We need to find the biggest bazooka evarrrr, and shove it straigjt up draghi's ass.
They had better finish that Paul Krugman university of economics building in down town Detroit....fast
The whole theory of MONETARISM is NOT Keynesian but Friedmanian; aka Chicago school, inspired by the libertarian supply side mantra. To which Von Mises, Ayn Rand and Greenspan were blood cousins.
Its Reaganomics, an extreme form of Friedmanian economics, which is now unwinding.
That after Lehman moment, the Oligarchy went full retard neo-Keynesian, speaks volumes for their head-up ass panic mode, iconised by Giethner and Ben Bernanke; in the wake of Squid's Paulson who protected his own to pollute the State finances beyond recognition.
And the Oligarchy world is in denial, like the obscurantists they be.
"That after Lehman moment, the Oligarchy went full retard neo-Keynesian, speaks volumes for their head-up ass panic mode, iconised by Giethner and Ben Bernanke; in the wake of Squid's Paulson who protected his own to pollute the State finances beyond recognition." -- Hence, we are long past the point of no return and all of these criminals are on record doing what they have done and stealing everything that the stole. Retribution motherfuckers.
A time of great risk and great opportunity is coming.
They're always people in this world who carry a grudge.
GET OVER IT!
BLAME SOMEONE ELSE!
Sure...99.8% of all living things got wiped out.
ACCIDENTS HAPPEN...WE MOVE ON!!!!
Another stupid fuck that misses the point.
There is no real opportunity without real risk you dumb fuck.
"......There is no Real Opportunity without Real Risk......"
Indeed.....
One of the Most Important things to understand in Markets and in Life itself......
There is no point near as I can tell. "Everyone dies, the end."
Makes even Italian Opera seem optimistic...
Lighten up Francis'
Sssssssssssssss'
You got this a bit arse ways mate Pema. Friedman agreed with Keynes about neutrality of money. Mises and all of Austrian school fundamentally believes in non neutrality of money. Friedman got it wrong. And is it not sad that we are still debating such a obvious fact.
I don't debate that aspect; I debate supply side mantra. Friedman was for it, taking the state and welfare spend out of the loop; contrary to Keynes's logic.
What fundamentelly changed to the Friedman "our money your problem" floating rate mantra was that Reaganomics PUSHED debt accumulation; as a result of petrodollar recycling shenanigans created by the Friedman model; into WS asset pumping, drying up the third world debt and national salary inflation that the previous model was built on.
Double whammy. Free money all feeding WS assets now on steroids became the new mantra, non regulated.
Why Friedman broke away from BW, Keynes's legacy, is a question of POLITICAL decision. Nixon didn't want to repay creditor dollars in gold once the US went into trade balance deficits...The right thing to do THEN was to move to a basket of monies to recognise US commercial decline. He refused.
This is an old tale and its been related here so often. That the gold EXCHANGE standard was a BAD compromise, as Keynes has feared due to Triffin Dilemma, and Von Mises's gold marker a better measure of monetary dissemination is another story. I won't comment on that.
Keynes vs Austrian school from a purist economic theory point of view is not my perspective. Power politics have made that a dead issue and Keynes saw that when he made his name on the consequences of the Versailles treaty.
Keynes could integrate imperfect markets in his model, using State to complement a deficient and illiquid market when the bubble burst. Something the Austrians could not. They only knew one way : deflation and it led to war, a pOLITICAL Option. Their model could not avoid the war as only possible route to economic resolution.
Lets see how this plays out. But today, Reaganomics has made state side pumping impossible until we first deflate the private banksta debt.
You are definately a thinking theorist, falek pema.
Meanwhile back at Uncle Vern's Pleasure Palace....
Viva Bastille Day!
falak pema: Thank you. Marvellous.
You are totally correct and calling current CB economic theory, 'neo-Keynesian', is the exact, proper term.
Most ZH's are not well read in historic economic theory and cannot, will not understand the difference in original Keynesian theory (save in boom times; spend, stimulate in bad times) and the current mutated theory (neo-Keynesian) that is utilised today where the government , CB's spend, stimulate ALL the time..

@oudinot,
You are correct oudinot. We parade so called experts in front of the TV for the masses to watch and listen too. They spout off bastardized theories to sway the public. Why? Because most people will never check facts nor read about what the so called experts are talking about. Keynesian is so bastardized I bet keynes is rolling in his grave along with many other economist theorists. If my memory serves me correctly Krugman got his noble prize not in theory but in trade side of economics.
There is a reason why our education system s doing ts bet to dub down the masses. If more people used critical thinking skills there would be riots in the streets.
excellent thread, excellent comments
but isn't this article mixing various things? or not mentioning others?
from a Keynesian or Neo-Keynesian perspective, the eurozone countries are doing everything wrong... if you see the current unemployement in the southern european countries as an emergency
the ECB shrunk it's balance sheet, and the eurozone countries are striving so much towards balanced budgets that even the Squid's request for half a trillion QE would be five times more then new debt issuances, i.e. net deficit spending
question is: is it the first time the southern europeans had very high unemployment? the answer is a resounding no
fact is that they had way higher unemployment in previous decades. higher then what would be deemed as "natural" or "sustainable" in most other economies, particularly in the US
fact is that those economies seem to have something that prevents total collapse due to extremely high unemployment
fact is that even Scotland, for a while, had an unemployment in the range of astounding 20% in living memory of your's truly
and there are many explanations for this resilience
one of them is that many are employed... but not officially. this is the submerged economy that is not interesting for economists or even banks... because it's based on cash, without debt. another is that family ties are stronger, and not leaving your parent's home until you marry - or even after marriage - is an established norm with a long history. another is that getting heavely in debt for your first home is still not an established norm, or in general getting into debt, period. another is that divorce is not that expensive, crippling or even so popular as elsewhere. another is that student debt is utterly unknown. another is that those "poor" economies have an astounding median net worth while having an astounding low personal debt level. this includes an astoundingly high home ownership quota with an astounding low level of mortgages on them. another is that they still have a broad middle class, despite a very poor underclass. another is that their education systems are still quite good, as well as their healthcare sytems, which is astoundingly cheap, compared to it's not-top-of-the-notch but yet mediocre to middling quality
from an Austrian School perspective, counting in the peculiarities of the european continent... there is no need to change much, nor to do a QE
And this is the really hilarious part of the thing in ZH (both editorial and many contributions), which generally does put things in the Austrian perspective for the US or the UK... but then compares europe to the US on a mainstream view, without getting into the details of the various countries
Alternatively, low effort is the preferred mode, though work is generally chosen if easy credit is offered. Occam's Razor. ;)
Or Hanlon's razor? ;)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor
Thank you for drilling down into the details of Greek society that give it financial and intellectual resilience. Makes very good sense to me.
+1 Ghordius
One must live in Europe to get a better perspective, no doubt. Fiat currency is the same in every place in my mind. I come here daily to ready and learn from commenters around the world. I am thankful ZH is here because you and I would not be having this discussion. The black market is alive and well in most places including the USA and Europe.
GDP on both sides of the pond are crap as they figure out new ways to count money.
GCT: You are right on: our education system has been deliberately 'dumbed down' so the propaganda can be more easily disseminated.
There should be 'riots in the street'.
ah, the good ole NY Times. They still don't get it. People don't have money to spend. People don't have good paying jobs that allow them to purchase goods. What they have is debt. And, they're trying to service that debt while their wages stagnate, and the cost of goods keeps rising.
please, tell me, when will some Central Bank pursue a "Stable Dollar" policy. Quit fucking with interest rates. Set them at a reasonable level and apply REAL lending standards. No more of this bullshit, flood the world with cheap ass credit trying to pump yet another bubble.
"when will some Central Bank pursue a "Stable Dollar" policy." -- As soon as they admit to the fraud that has been committed and the fact that all the private sector bets that they made and bad debt was passed on to the public.
In essence, as soon as they indict themselves.
Good luck with that.
madcows,
Sounds good, but do you actually expect "growth" in such a regime? Mind you, maybe growth (net of debt) is a thing of the past.
An interesting comment "They still don't get it". It is true, I suppose. That must be why in declining countries throughout history the ruling elite become adversarial to the population. They get stuff from the population: money, power. They abuse it for years. They get so used to the gravy train that when reality taps them on the shoulder they can hardly understand it. They get angry. They become punitive to the people who have collectively given so much. The people complain, the politicians take it personally instead of a team challenge for everyone. No sense of duty, no sense of guilt, restraint, or any normal reactions you would expect from people elected to serve. Raised for 40+ years in fantasy land, all they know is that the "population" is trying to take something away that they are "entitled" to. Well, not only do they still not get it, they obviously never will get it.
Doesn't that sound exactly like "spoiled kids"?
Seriously?
First you tell them how precious they are.
Then you give them presents they don't deserve.
Then they want more, better and bigger presents.
Then even more, better and much bigger presents.
Then you finally realize you spoiled them like crazy.
By then, they are vastly beyond redemption.
And so they go ape, kill and destroy.
That's what happens when you raise predators.
The solution, which everyone hates me for advocating, is to never promote any kind of fiction to kids as they grow up. None, ever. Let them understand exactly how life works, what makes life work (production), how difficult life can be, and how to defend themselves against predators (and not to become predators).
honestann:
Megalomania; a psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of power, relevance, omnipotence, and by inflated self-esteem.
And getting away with it for years, then decades. Which was my implicit point. Human predators should not be grown in the first place, but when one is grown, they need to be exterminated early and quickly to avoid... the world of today.
The central banks shouldn't be fucking with rates period! Let the market the rate and the world will be a better place.
Question. Wouldnt this mean that the fed would need to print more debt to service earings on held savings/profits?
"Stable Dollar" policy?
Are you kidding?
No Central Bank is needed for that.
That is precisely what Central Banks were invented to PREVENT.
Look, banks practice fractional reserves, ergo - they SELL multple exclusive claims on the same asset at best, or on fictional assets. That is inflationary.
When depositors discover the money they've been paying the bank to safeguard is gone, they withdraw their assets in a 'Bank Run'. THAT is the Dollar returning to stability (undoing the previous inflation).
Central Banks EXIST EXPLICITLY TO PREVENT THAT FROM HAPPENING.
you sir, make fucking sense.
There seems to be a bit of a disconnect going on with these bearish articles when the Dow has piled on 600 points in two days straight and even the DOG countries mentioned here have all gone up ridiculous amounts as well...
Is there a news sync issue going on - Right day, wrong calender year?
I think the disconnect is tied to the understanding that the market is not the economy. The markets have been driven by intervention of the world's central banks. These article are referring to the lack of a true sustainable economic recovery over the past 5 years. Ultimately the market will be forced to reconnect with economic reality. It's just a matter of how far that rubber band can be stretched before it snaps.
I take your point - Enron is a good example of how great things are until the day before the shit hits the fan
Almost forgot but it was Enron that made this all possible!
You might notice that this site differentiates between the market and the real economy, which now have nothing to do with each other. Nobôdy here is surprised that the market keeps going up, but everybody here knows it has nothing to do with fundamentals or the economy.
Begs the question, is it a legitimate bull if it has to be manipulated, primed with fiat, supported by the PPT, CNBC, HFT, foreign CB's, ZIRP, and gazillions of BTFD'ers?
Does it go up? Yes. Is it a bull? No. It's a fabrication of a bull, a cheap plastic imitation, and nothing more.
To which the cynic will reply:
"The money in my account is real!! HAHA!!"
Those same BTD'ers have a 100% chance of getting càught in the crash, which they will of course assume is just another BTD opportunity.
Funniest thing is the millions and millions of people involved in the Scam that is "the skim". Useless fukkers that produce nothing and leach off of others.
Great article, great comments, great stuff. I'm going to throw all my PM,s on the bed with some rose petals and lie with them and do star shapes like you do on the beach with them so they outline my body. I'm gonna fucking cry I know it.
why do all these analysts keep trying to decifer what these banks are doing? They're trying to analyze a NORMAL economic result from an abnormal and CRIMINAL act. These bankers know EXACTLY what they're doing, they're crooks.
HERE'S THE SOLUTION.............KILL ALL THE BANKERS
I think they will print to the moon first...before it all crashes down....they will try to save it at all costs by printing...but the faith will be gone by then...and down it goes...they will come up with some big plan to distribute it to people....and off to the presses they go...it will be some event...
Let's see who's getting rich? Need I say more? KILL THE BANKERS
Charles Manson for President. Let's quit kidding ourselves and pretending all these Presidents aren't psychopaths and put in a guy we know is. Maybe he'll kill bankers.
I'm going to make a prediction with all that i've heard over the last few weeks and i'm sure some of you already think the same...i predict that the market will keep climbing until about 21 - 22k. when it hits 22,000 sell everything and make sure you have gold/silver/cigerettes cuz it will crash the hardest it has ever crashed. i believe this will happen no later than the end of September 2015. R U Ready????
Are you CRAZY!!!???? No Beer? WTF?
Well i was listing things for trade but Yeah, better have your beer and vodka.
It's so simple. KILL BANKERS. That's all.
Monetarism isn't a theory, it is a plan
And I was just going to say that, seriously. And you are CORRECT. And therin lies the problem. A plan by crooks
Fire works great for burning down the Federal Reserve. As the rats run out gather them up and hang them. What fun.
If the people vote for me I PROMISE to declare OPEN SEASON on bankers. With rewards and trophies. The govt will mount your bankers head for free. Aim low
The Eurozone is deflating and everyone knows it... but no one will admit it. "Whatever it takes" is not going to be enough to pull the EU from downward spiral the have entered.
http://www.globaldeflationnews.com/as-early-as-2011-ewis-analysis-warned...
http://www.globaldeflationnews.com/european-union-continues-to-suffer-fr...
NO YOU'RE WRONG!!!! They can just call a "Do Over". It's all just a game to them. Ahahahahahaha Tag, you're it. Kill bankers.
"Monetarizm is simply theft"
Capital = Production minus consumption
Therefore when you "print" captial you are counterfeiting which is theft.
That is NOT TRUE!! If you live in the bankers world with unicorns and sheeple. Kill bankers
If you keep this up the NSA will need to buy another hard drive
Keynesianism: "We steal, and then steal more to cover the effects of our prior thefts, while we blame the people for the negative ramifications of our thefts."
Monetarism: "We continuously steal just a little, about 3%, to hide our thefts, and make our role more imperceptible, while we tell the people that because we steal so little, the effects of our thefts are not our fault."
The banksters need to repay us.
They won't... unless you make them.
Why anyone ever expected a different outcome is due solely to unrepentant ideology, since these central banks are following almost exactly the Japanese “model.”
The predators-that-be do not have ideology, they have modus-operandi, which is "get away with whatever you think you can, shift negative consequences upon others, and shift positive consequences on yourself".
My point is, the predators-that-be never believed Keynesian and neo-Keynesian "ideology", they simply recognized a great rationalization for doing what they want to do, which is "create, borrow and spend vast sums of fiat debt in order to shift wealth into their pockets, power into their hands, while stealing wealth from productive human beings as they are being enslaved.
Never, ever, ever, ever assume "they were confused or mistaken".
THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING.
ENSLAVING AND DESTROYING MANKIND.
Madam, you are harsh.
The predators-that-be are only doing what everyone else would do in similar circumstances. They are merely protecting their wives and bairns. And to achieve that, they need a place in the lifeboat.
Just like Sir Cosmo Duff-Gordon aboard the Titanic.
Try to temper your bitterness.
The predators-that-be are only doing what everyone else would do in similar circumstances.
No need to accuse you of anything. You openly admitted how craven you are.
For the record, I would not lie, cheat, steal, defraud and enslave human beings... even to save my own life, much less just for fun.
So there you go, not everyone is intentionally, self-consciously craven and diabolical like you and your heroes.
Oh, did I say everyone else? I should have said 95%. I never meant to include humorless old maids with neither spouses or children.
That's the way it is here on planet earth.
On your planet, Pollyanna, things are much different. The Ethical Cavalry will be along any moment and all those nasty predators will be sent to the hulks and honesty will be restored to the markets of Pollyanna.
Absolutely correct. Exactly the way it was when I first watched the markets 50 years ago.
For someone who comments on zh, you're little tardy taking up the cudgels against them.
Alas, history tells us that the moneyed predators always win. So either join them, stop watching and get out of the markets altogether, or just slip this rat cage over your face.
Oh, and google "sense of humor" and see if you have any of the traits you can pump up.
I think we're gonna need more Zyklon-B...
Ann made a very common mistake
She should have bought the 10 year extended warranty on her flat screen, smart existence. She took the 3 year one, and now she suffering.
The hateful predators are preying on her prunes when she's at work. She needs them to maintain her livid pruneface. "Hell hath no fury..."
Zyklon-B is so last century. Can't we make due with Ebola?
Ann lives 125km from the nearest human being in her comfortable little self-sufficient digs, far from the worries most ZH readers "enjoy". She does need to go cold turkey on ZH, however, to remove her last pointless addiction and contact with uncivilization, for which she has no use.
I feel sad for most people. I wish they could enjoy life like me. We seem to take opposite approaches. I live a great life out in my boonies paradise, no hassles, no humans to annoy me, just peace, quiet, the glorious southern sky above my head at night, and pristine nature and killer views every day.
That's my most common break from my work, to wander under the southern sky. More impressive in the winter however (winter down here), with the blazing bright center of the MilkyWay over head.
I know how much better life can be when not living under predator control. That's now my daily life, every day. I pay no taxes, worry about no laws or regulations, and have flown my little airplane to 16 fictitious nations now without permission, without passport, without visa, without TSA, without asking permission to do what birds do every day... fly in the sky.
So yeah, maybe I get more annoyed because I know how much humans have lost. While I am able to avoid 99% of that, I know how much mankind is thwarted and knocked down and broken by this state of affairs. Sadly, most human beings can get used to just about anything... and they have. Sadly, most human beings come to defend the predators who enslave them. Not me, though.
By coincidence, today was exactly my 5 years on zerohedge, according to my ZH account page. I don't believe in signs, not in the mystical sense anyway. But... maybe that's a sign. 5 years is enough. I can just spend more of my bits of time away from my work out under the night sky, or tending the plants I grow for food.
As Jack Nicholson once said, "humans can't handle the truth". Boy was he right. Even more important, they don't want to. So to hell with them. Not my problem.
Just wondering / does your plane run on solar or have you invented animal excrement to kerosene?
Nope, it takes regular old car gasoline, with up to 10% ethanol if necessary. However, I have about 3,000 gallons of no-lead, no-ethanol gasoline stored at this point. Every time I leave, I bring back full tanks (and full fuel blatters), the empty them into my storage tanks. By the time the SHTF, hopefully I'll have 5,000 gallons. At 75mpg, what is that? 375,000 miles? If I need to cut back on travel, I can probably get by with a total of 375,000 for the rest of my time here on earth (perhaps another 10 years, then on to outer space).
But you make a great point. I looked into converting any engine compatible with my airplane to LH2 (which I can and do make here at home in small quantities for other purposes from pure water and solar-panel electricity).
Unfortunately, I have not been able to crack that nut in a practical way (it can be done "in theory", and in practice with a lot of effort modifying the engine or substituting another engine). But, I'm too busy for that, hence you're point is correct.
I'm sure ZH would sorely miss the participation of Ann should she be lucky enough to go 'cold turkey.'
I had the very same thought this morning when I was excercising. (I hate the days between Thanksgiving and News Years, as I am one of those creatures who reqire a routine to keep me from flying off into space.)
But for me to go 'cold turkey' would necessitate the use of a sledge hammer on my lap top. And that would spell the end of my 'prosthetic memory' and the scratchy, out of focus, badly edited 'kulcha' I get from youtube.
I hope you break out of the ZH Big House. If you do but but we see you walking in the yard some time later, at least you can say you tried.
"Alas, history tells us that the moneyed predators always win. "
How did that work out for King George III again? And there are no markets, only interventions at this point. See, I'm all for good clean business, even hard-nosed business. But only pussies celebrate lying, stealing and cheating. And they ALWAYS a lose in the end, even when they think they've won.
There can be no doubt that predators can be devoured by bigger predators, whether in waiting, in training, apparent or presumptive.
George III presided at the delivery of the greatest predators since the creation of the universe.
Negatory. Not quite entirely humorless, more like unable to see self in perspective. Pity, as it would be hilarious (in a good way). But one must not mix seriousness with levity. You intuit the implications, and the craving isolation alongside indirect connection which still induces a stress, relieved via observable directness. Ann's honesty is of course relative but this is possibly beyond her awareness. It's more agreeable to inform others how much she despises their convolution and explain in detail how they are inconsistent with sanity, which as you've detected, is fairly ironic.
I fail to understand how human beings can watch potentially beautiful and awesome animals be slowly tortured to dead for fun by craven, diabolical predators... and pretty much not give a damn.
But even more, I fail to understand how those tortured animals can defend the predators who torture them, and poke fun at those who are still so clear headed that they understand the horror of what is happening.
The majority of my life is happy, cheerful... even if a bit "stressful" in a manner of speaking because of the care and focus required to do my work, which requires perfectionist attitude. On the rare occasion I'm with a friend or project collaborator, we laugh and joke around all the time. I love that. And I often smile on the inside, and probably on the outside though I don't notice, while I walk under the night sky, looking at the universe, speculating, visualizing and planning our next playground.
And I understand why folks here on ZH can't imagine that. The reason is, the topics we discuss here at ZH fall into that category my first sentence described. And yes, I take horrific activity very seriously. The rest of you can go ahead and disband every attempt to evade, restrain or punish the most craven, diabolical, egregious predators the universe has ever known. You can elect them, choose them, honor them, praise them, elevate them, finance them and defend their abuse of you and your friends, family, neighbors and everyone else on planet earth.
What I do, that almost nobody else does, is [try] to consider the meaning and significance and context and precision of every sentence. Which stimulates me to respond to endless errors and oversights of sloppy [brainwashed] consciousness.
Just for example, I'll pull one sentence out of your post to make an example. Understand that I [try to] do this for every sentence when I read.
You said, "Alas, history tells us that the moneyed predators always win". I'll restrict my focus to that sentence and ignore the fact that I have been out of what you call "the market" for many years (unless you consider physical gold and self-sufficient digs part of the market, which I do not).
As is often the case, your sentence is largely true. But it is flippant. To read it with the consciousness of most human beings will have the opposite of the appropriate effect... to give up and accept this fate. Which is why the predators planted this idea in your head in the first place.
First of all, even if it was true that "moneyed predators always win", the appropriate reaction is to ask, "is this necessary by the nature of reality, or can this be changed"? Whenever some situation is very bad, very harmful, very painful, very destructive... only a beaten-down disingenuous loser would fail to ask this question. Only a beaten-down disingenuous loser would take no effort to dream-up and consider ways to break that trend, find a way to assure "moneyed predators usually get exterminated quickly", or at least find a way [for yourself, or as many as possible] to escape the consequences of this terrible situation.
Your answer to the soundbite, "if you can't beat them, join them" is to never bother to seriously consider whether you can beat them... or evade them. You just shrug and immediately "join them" (in one form or other, as fellow-predator, or willing-defending prey).
Yes, I don't "respond well" to humorously waving off horrific situations, like the enslavement, brainwashing and torture of 7 billion sentient beings. Because what the masses have been programmed to consider "respond well" is precisely to accept the unacceptable state of affairs on planet earth. So make fun of me. I don't care. Honestly and exactly so - as a personal matter. I'll take reality and life seriously when appropriate, and joke around and have fun when appropriate. I can tell the difference.
Your message is a good metaphor for my time here at ZH. I know these "problems" can be solved, and quite easily solved. There is NO WAY any 0.1% of the population can defend themselves against 1% of the population... if that 1% understands what's going on, and is willing to act.
The FACT is, the only reason "the moneyed predators always win" is because almost none of their prey take any actions against them. Their prey will not defend themselves. Which means, their prey are [brainwashed] morons. They know better, they HAVE TO know better, because I knew in essence at age 4, and rather completely (in simple terms of course) by age 8. People aren't much dumber than me, they have decided to be willingly dumb... to get a few pats on the head, or be somewhat accepted by "popular creeps", or other short-term benefits - the long-term price being the sacrifice of their entire lives.
Though I "had it figure out" at age 4~8, it took me many years to comprehend the subtleties and more importantly, to precisely identify the fundamentals involved in these topics. Fortunately for me, I met someone along the way (the inventor of the technology I work on every day) who had followed a very similar intellectual path, but had identified and formulated more exactly some of the fundamentals that made the last few of the hundred or so tumblers fall into place. But, I'd still be essentially the same even without that luck.
Yes, we have taken a different path. Otherwise, we'd show you "the moneyed predators always win" trend can be inverted. But too bad for mankind, we are extreme individualists, and prefer one of the alternatives... evade, leave, be independent and permanently beyond the claws and influence of human predators. And so we take our path, and the rest of mankind shall perish... slowly at first, horribly always, and then finally quickly.
So at the end, two outcomes are possible. Sentient life in the universe got one chance in a remote solar-system in a remote arm of a remote galaxy in a huge and eternal universe. And they threw it away. Which is why I say "morons" so often, because they could have been spectacular creatures, and done awesome and spectacular things. They were, in fact, on the verge of that outcome. Which is why that other awesome, spectacular outcome is still possible. But not for mankind, just for those of us who choose to take the other road, who choose to take life, reality and consciousness as important. If we manage to finish our project before mankind wipes himself out (or we age and become feeble-minded or die), we shall finish our implementation, bootstrap for a short while, then leave this planet never to return, and never to tolerate predators in any way, shape or form.
The bottom line is, every one of you has every right to make your choice, to take life, reality and consciousness as a bad joke (which it sure looks like currently), and just accept your fate and likely/possibly the fate of sentience in the universe as a useless one-time fart in a far corner of an utterly pointless galaxy in an utterly pointless universe.
Excuse the few of us who choose to make something of this freak anomaly, and grow it into something awesome, spectacular and extraordinary that slowly but surely spreads across vast expanses of the universe, and makes the universe a great place to... be, play, experiment and reconfigure for our joy, benefit, curiosity and amusement.
See ya.
The same way a hungry wolf avidly eats a two day old deer. You can call it wrong, you can react with human emotions, and try to 'save' Bambi, but this world was not created to serve your emotive response, it makes Bambi because it makes hungry wolves. Not causal, just how it is.
Your inability to face/process this is not a sign of intelligence Ann, nor is it a sign of superior morality or ethics, or whatever pernickety term you wish to characterize it as, it's just fleeing from fact, into your chosen fiction.
Which "beautiful and awesome" animals do you wish to save out of these?

Yes, that's right, your honesty and your professed, or if you prefer, implied moral and cerebral processing superiority is wholly relative, derivative, self referential, variable, adhoc and without the foundational basis you pretend exists.
Did you really expect to be any different - at all?
Nice to aspire, it is, but who do you think you're kidding? Apparently you are, and some others may buy into that sappy baloney you've been peddling, but I do not, simply via understanding thought far better than you presume to, which your ego has hitherto immediately discounted was even remotely possible.
Whatever.
Do have a nice plate of home-grown fish flesh tonight, enjoy yourself, you owe it to that fish to enjoy it. And be thankful to the human 'predators' who secured the 95 RON auto gas you consume in the Rotax (it's good to play dumb, I strongly encourage it for smart people, but never over do it, OK?).
Nevertheless, all the best, I sincerely hope you enjoy whatever you do next, you do have much more to discover - bye.
[PS: I perpetually reserve the right to be inconsistent. You said recently you must be 'consistent'. That is not the case. Honesty itself is a relative verbal construct, words are finite, actual has no finite. Which is a material fact? Which is a non-material fiction?]
I'm not sure whether you purposely ignored the word "potentially" in your first quote or not, but that qualifier does make a difference in some contexts.
You also [?purposely?] ignore what I've said endless times about the "fundamental story of mankind" (the predator versus producer aspect) that does not apply to other species. Which is why your comparison with bambi is irrelevant in the context of these conversations. I have stated many times, and I'm sure you've read me say many times, that other animals are incapable of being producers, and so they are predators and parasites or just clueless animals wandering around eating grass and berries (like bambi, I assume).
Nature is nature. Other animals just do what they do, without much thought. And sure enough (and maybe this is part of your point), most humans operate that way much of the time. Well, they may do so if they wish, and in a sense, they deserve what they get. They [more-or-less] consciously choose to remain in the domain of "animal predators and prey", and so what they get is consistent with what they choose.
So I think we (and many folks who respond to me in ZH) talk at cross purposes. I'm not saying all humans MUST choose the "producer" option. Not at all. They are welcome to go out into the jungle and live the life of predators. They are also unwelcome (but certainly able) to live in uncivilization and practice the usual actions of "human predators and prey".
Which is where I say to other humans who made the alternative choice (producer), that you are wise and justified to defend yourself against predators of all species, humans included, because otherwise being a producer sucks --- which is why so many producers give up, and turn to the dark side (predator).
You accuse me of thinking I'm "superior". Nope. You're not reading, or not listening, or not thinking through what I say... which is right there in front of you to read and understand.
What I'm saying is, we all have a choice... to be predator or producer. If you or anyone else wants to be a human predator, you are free to do so. Don't expect me to encourage that choice, but that choice is for each and every individual to make.
You say something a bit unclear about me or my babble being "relative". That is in fact close to correct, but the appropriate term is "contextual". The context is "reality" and "sentient" (including "human"). Would you expect discussions of "human actions" to be about "rocks" or "rocket fuel" or "peanut shells"... or what?
So yes, what I talk about is in fact "relative to" (meaning "in the context of") the actions of sentient beings in reality. THAT is the context, which does indeed ignore billions of aspects of reality, from "the shape of beach sand particles" to "static electricity in the atmosphere of red dwarfs" to... well... to most aspects of reality.
So what? My comments are absurd or irrelevant because they are "on topic"?
Did I expect to be "different from what"? No idea what you're asking. But I am in fact deep into the observation and comprehension of consciousness, which means I do have more insights and knowledge and understanding about that topic than I do about football or movie stars or the majority of other popular human topics that "regular folks" know much better than me.
So what? I should not discuss topics I know well?
You don't have to believe anything I say. I don't care. I only offer my thoughts so the very few who might be interested in the topics I discuss have alternate perspectives to consider. That's my tiny little contribution of "benevolence" on offer, nothing more, nothing else.
As you can easily observe, I have nothing to sell, no websites to peddle, no blog to push, nothing conventional to gain. And perhaps nothing to gain at all.
After 5 years on ZH, despite getting some positive feedback now and then, I suspect my comments have had little or no positive effects. Not existentially, anyway. Perhaps a few folks feel a bit happier for better understanding certain aspects of reality and sentient beings, but I very much doubt anything existentially positive will come of my efforts. Which is why I should quite ZH cold turkey, and probably will. But I'll make that decision, just as any smoker or drinker has to make theirs.
Hahaha... fish flesh? I guess you remember me saying I dislike seafood and don't eat seafood. So, thanks for the kind but sarcastic thought.
PS: I perpetually reserve the right to notice when any of my mental content is inconsistent, or appears to be [somewhat] inconsistent, and make every effort to perform additional observations, experiments and thought to identify the source of the real or apparent inconsistency.
Part of "honesty" is understanding that I only KNOW three or four things for absolute certain (where I really do mean "absolute" here). I am quite aware that everything beyond those few absolute certainties are "provisional inferences". Which means, I am not "freaked out" by [real or apparent] "inconsistencies", they are a natural part of LEARNING, a natural part of having LIMITED observation, limited evidence, limited time, effort and resources.
But having said that, part of being honest is recognizing that every "provisional inference" is not equal. Some are based upon very limited evidence and/or expertise, while others are based upon a great deal of time, effort, thought, experience, observation and comprehension of related provisional inferences.
Which is to say, I am quite fully aware that I know a lot more about consciousness than football, or chemistry, or song-writing, or millions of other aspects of reality. While I didn't make the working prototype of smarter-than-human consciousness myself, I do understand how it works now. Which to me, is more basis to assume some expertise in the topic than your claim that "you understand thought far better than I presume to". But, I couldn't care less what you think, so if self-delusion makes you feel better (as it seems to for most human beings), then... enjoy. Like I said recently, not my problem.
Finally, "honesty" is not just "a relative verbal construct". While comprehension does involve concepts, which for humans are strongly connected to language and various language constructs, real effective comprehension does NOT primarily depend upon language.
In fact, comprehension of aspects of reality can exist without language. The fact is, for a human very serious about comprehending aspects of reality, one of the most important processes is to be fully aware of what implications follow from the language aspect of every mental unit, and while being aware of those aspects, mostly ignore them and focus on the existential, experiential, experimental, observational, sensory and perceptual. That is, the intended referent of each mental unit.
As an example of the phenomenon (and problem) you identify, just consider the age-old mystery called the "mind-body dichotomy". Because some moron (or very clever shaman) formulated the "processes of consciousness" (actions) as a noun ("mind"), the implication was "mind is an object". But since humans so want to believe their essence (mind) is eternal, and will survive forever (in heaven or hell or semi-equivalent), their consciousness GOT TRAPPED by the linguistic aspect of this defective formulation (mind-body dichotomy). They wonder, if the "mind" is a separate object that is not dependent upon the physical body, how can mind control body, or sense via body? After all, mind doesn't need body to sense and act after death. And so, this has been one of those "mystery of the ages" caused largely because virtually EVERYONE was misled by the linguistic formulation. If the originators had simply said, "hey folks, all evidence implies "mind" is just "processes of physical brain (part of what is meant by "physical body")... then millennia of confusion (and torture and warfare in the name of confusion) would have never happened (even if maybe they would have found other justifications for their atrocities).
The questions "which is a material fact" and "which is a non-material fiction" are important to any effective thinker. Gee, I think I've discussed that topic from time to time. Too bad few humans realize this is an important topic, and important skill to master as thoroughly and precisely as possible.
Somehow I missed your "adhoc" comment, so I'll just toss out a few bits and pieces of linguistic babble before I sign off. I know why you say that. I know why others accuse me of that. Because they HATE that we have been so effective at giving fundamental (not very much not adhoc) identifications of a great many important concepts and topics. It is very annoying to everyone who holds their "vision" dear when someone clearly explains the very obviously real and indisputable basis for their views (provisional inferences), when they know their own vision is a gigantic pile of fantasy, arm waving, and unsupported assertion. But don't worry, you and they can still pretend. That seems to be what humans are best at... pretending, endorsing obvious nonsense and fiction. To those who embody and support this malfunction of consciousness... good luck. You're gonna need it.
DISCLAIMER: Ann and her fellow consciousness experts are not experts in most topics. So appearances of ego and arrogance can be simply blamed on the fact we rarely discuss or profess opinions about topics outside our areas of expertise (or extensive thought). We are quite aware and freely admit we are completely ignorant of most aspects of the trivia of normal human life. But that generally doesn't bother us, partly because we intend to leave this planet and not deal with humans thereafter, and partly because the other aspects of reality tend to be far more interesting... to us. This is called "specialization", or in some contexts, "division of [intellectual] labor". Perfectly natural... for everyone, us included. And yes, we're oddballs, outliers, weirdos. We like it that way, and intend to take full advantage of our specialization (and weirdness). To those who live being "normal", do enjoy being normal to the extent reality and predators permit.
Finally. Nothing could be more true than... we have much more to discover. You sure got that right! And that's what we're all about. Hopefully we achieve our short term goals, so we can have an eternity to discover (and create) astronomically more than we already have.
Shut your mouth. It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. You are free. Enjoy it. Do not entertain fools because they are using it to track you. Live free and die happy.
Though I took extreme measures to make my communications on ZH untraceable (5-level indirection, some in remote [protected/monitored] hardware I installed myself), increasingly I suspect your advice is wise. Perhaps the time has arrived to go cold turkey on ZH. Thanks for your concern and kind thoughts.
PS: I exchanged a few private emails with this guy a year or two ago, so that adds a bit of circumstantial evidence you might indeed be on to something here.
Ann, it's not so much communication method or technology that gives location away, it's content. I could locate you and walk up to you in under 1 week, you'd be surprised how easy it would be for me to do that. Surely you realize this? I knew enough about you years ago to find you in short order. I've always presumed you could do the same with what you know of me. You seem to think the trust was a one-way street.
I have noted (several times) your mild preoccupation with some paranoid thoughts, but you seem to do it more of late, so I suppose it's best if I say to you that you'll never be betrayed by me for any reason, at any time. Not that you need to nor probably should accept that, but it's always going to be the case just the same. It's strange your trust is so low though, for what grounds or basis do you have for it?
Zip.
We've talked more than enough, but I'm disappointed in you, that you perpetually fail to notice good-will expressed, not just here, but many, many times prior, due to that regrettable character trait and isolating predeliction:
________
dern it, I forgot to add that yes I noted the word "potential", before I replied above. As for animals not being 'producers', rather than 'predators', or 'parasites', you better look up symbiosis.
It blows me away how conceitedly adamant you are and thoroughly blind as well, considering it's a fundamental observed network of inter-relation between successful evolved species. And between humans, and between humans and other animals.
Why did the eagle which could kill a wolf, or at least some type of adult wild canine, submit to climbing back on the humans arm? It could have put its talons through the guys neck, pecked out his eye balls, and flown free forever! But didn't.
Your meticulous explications ring hollow and feeble against experience and observation. Hanging with slavish defense of clearly inadequate conceptions is absurd. Not that such absurdity has been an insurmountable impediment to your rhetorical flourishes to date.
I reject it solely due its patent disparity with all that's around me, it clearly isn't a better conceptual approximation or a concisely packaged 'reality' framework. It does not help one understand.
But it does warp perspective and interfere with and undermine perception.
Not acceptable. Many scientists never accept such failures and carry their failed conceptions to their death bed, where they generally die with them.
Whatever, people are responsible for their own mind's dynamic state and suppleness.
Unlike some people (cough, cough), I don't pretend to know everything. And so, I leave open the possibility my provisional inferences are incorrect. Lots of human predators pretend to be "your friend", even the worst human predators in the history of mankind (leaders).
I doubt you know where I am, or that you could walk up to my door. But if you think you can defeat my 5-level indirection, go ahead and walk up to my door for a free meal, 100% natural and grown and prepared by me. I won't be holding my breath. And no, I don't know how to find you, so if you're not totally full of BS, you're way ahead of me in that area.
It wasn't my paranoid thoughts, it was someone else who had those thoughts. I merely said that his thoughts aren't impossible, and some circumstantial evidence exists to imagine it might be true. Not is true, not probably true, just might be. And you provide even more circumstantial evidence (or rather claims) in the form of your CIA-like ability to find me so easily.
My experience has been, humans cannot be trusted. While I do trust a few, a very few, I don't trust many. That's not the same as actual distrust, but not trust either. I didn't invent cliches like "wolf in sheep clothing", so I'm not the only one who recognizes appearances can be deceiving when it comes to human predators, as well as other animal predators.
So usually you blame me for pretending I know more than I do, and now you blame me for saying I don't know. Boy, I definitely can't catch a break with you!
I know what symbiosis means. But symbiosis does not require production to exist... many kinds of symbiosis exist without. I am not "blind", I see the inter-relations all the time. But being of "mutual benefit" is NOT the same as production.
As usual, people have such imprecise handles on their mental content they jump on what I say without actually addressing what I say (but something else they imagine is equivalent, but isn't). Rinse and repeat, again and again. I'm fairly tired of people paying no attention to what I say, but lots of attention to what they imagine I say. My supposed meticulous explications ring hollow compared to experience because, so often you and others have little to no idea what my explications meant. No surprise.
Yes indeed. People are responsible for their own mind, and their own actions.
I know what you're trying to do. But I'll make up my own mind.
All right, all right, I admit it, I'm with the CIA. I was spent to spy on you, it's all true, you got me. Even now we is sneaking up on zee secret Pipestrel bat-cave hideout. lol!!
Seriously ann, you're about three snags short of BBQ these days. You think the CIA would give a crap about you? Why? Is it because you're about to make yourself immortal by downloading your brain to a cyborg and blast off into 'other' space?
Riiiiiiiiiight!!
And they're out to get you huh? You must think that or else you would not be talking such ridiculous krud. Lady, you've been out there jumping at imaginary shadows for too many years, you're driving yourself bananas.
And this latest spate of paranoia is far from the first time you've done this, so quit the pretense that it's a one-off response to another poster. Do I need to repost the last example back in May? It isn't the first time, it may be the third time though. And you know you've done it before! So much for your alleged honesty.
Oh, I forgot, it's relative, oops, contextual ... whatever luv.
And you know what I'm "trying to do", huh? Nice. I'm sure its highly involved and deeply insidious! lol you bloody fruit cake. Had I known swapping emails would lead to your progressive paranoia breakdown I would have given it a miss from the outset, but you invited me to, remember? The website you told me how to search for. That was your idea.
A simple solution, don't interact. I'll pretend you went 'cold-turkey' ... you keep saying that ... and shall pine for thee ... lots.
NOT!~ lol
Done.
No, they're probably not out to get me, because so many people claim things that aren't true, they probably don't believe a word I say (like most other people), which is a rather sick sort of protection, but there you go. So no, I don't worry, because my inference is, the combinations of measured I've taken are sufficient. But I do keep a tiny bit of my brain alert for the possibility something has changed, or my inference was wrong, or maybe I am just unlucky. But as you know, and you do know, if the predators-that-be knew what we had (and especially if they knew we were close), they would send the seals to descend upon us, grab everything, hunt down the rest of the crew, and lock us away for life, either in some guantanamo hell-hole, or in a basement of area 52 where they'd attempt to force us to finish... for them. I'm sure you do realize that if I was paranoid, I would not post here, and I certainly would not mention our project from time to time. So you are wrong, and you know you are wrong, but you know some others here don't read enough of my posts to realize you're disingenuous.
Yes, I know what you're trying to do... trying to make me go cold turkey. See, I was right, as your next paragraph reveals. Seriously, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out your motives and unstated agendas. Nonetheless, I'm likely to decide you're right. I've been on the verge for a while. But your comments don't push me one way or other. I make my own decisions. You really are so lame. I feel sorry for you, and your sense of importance! Like you drove me paranoid. Hahaha. What imagination!
Tedious dickhead,
What don't you understand about such a simple solution:
i.e. you'll be in zh doing what the fuck you think you have to add to the enlightenment of humanity, or whatever, and I'll pretend you have done what you keep threatening to do, for the past ~2 years.
Get it now, paranoid numskull?
Can we try this one more time you twisted jerk?
No. I'm too bored. And as far as "don't interact", it is you who start posting responses to me, not the other way around. But nastiness has no attraction for me, so yeah, I can easily go cold turkey on you, without a second thought. I really did think you were better than this. See, I'm not very smart. I tend to overestimate people who show signs of promise, which you did.
Many of us enjoy reading Ann's dialogue. If you do not, then ... do not read her comments and save us this whining crybaby nonsense. In other words, STFU asshole. You are in the minority on this issue.
Listen everyone - I have been on the internet for 15 years calling it like it is. I have never held back. The Ponzi scheme was easy for me to see during the credit extension when I was offered credit when I should not have been (bankrupt after a divorce from a greedy man). And I am a news hound.
There is not a person on ZH who has been more outspoken than me about Jwish bankers and corrupt politicians.
And last year I applied for and received a renewed visa in US. I have come into contact with local cops and they are not only pleasant but respectful. And I should note that after Citizens United v FCC verdict was issued (campaign donations without limits), I responded to a political member who attempted to tell the readers in our town that "it was best" with "Have you lost your mind?"
I do not know for sure but I think there is a good vs evil force within all our govt and that at this point anyway, the good guys still have influence. Otherwise, I'd be in a detention center on the US Canadian border.
Or, as one predator so succinctly put it: You never let a serious crisis go to waste.
I don't disagree with much of what you wrote, however I think the part about enslaving and destroying mankind is a bit of a stretch.
These people are greedy and ruthless, and many like to be idolized. To be idolized you need people. They also have to have a couple of like minded people on their side as it is terrible being lonely, even if the people they hang around with are as untrustworthy as them.
Exactly...
Hanlon's Razor states:
Diogenes Corollary states:
This isn't really about monetarism.
Monetarism never claims that printing money or money supply or velocity alone, will grow the wheat or build the widgets, it just talks about what will allow certain amounts of wheat and widgets to be sold. I mean even Keynesianism isn't really that crazy - but almost.
Our problems today, of globalism and automation, are structural, not classicaly economic at all. Our problems are largely the problems of the rich, of distribution and fairness, not markets at all, except as markets are destroyed by modern fascism.
Monetarism is just another way of stealing real wealth from its rightful owners and giving it to others or using it for their benefit.
Why would ANYONE think that it would produce growth, prosperity, etc.?
The day will come when people will shake their heads when they look back at this ridiculous, fraudulent practice.
Which country will be first to go 'nukuler' in the upcoming war?
The us and on itself. Then blame someone else
Gawd there are some nutballs here. Its Reaganomics fault, not Keynes, and Islam is the religion of peace dontcha know. We sure have gotten confused in the last 30 years and in particular since 2008 when the Kenyan ascended the throne.
Legacy media and liberals and shills and dumbasses that don't know what they are but want to blame anyone but the arseholes that have been running the place for 6 years. Yep, bush sucked, Jeb sucked too. Ohomo sucks even more. I'm not a republican anymore since Boehners final thrust of the knife in my back. I'm a CCW now. Cheers.
Nothing can be done. All broken.
Well not quite. The NWO military forces have to begin fracturing to restore law and order.
For few days I have been warning people about an unusual number of NEO *Near Earth Objects* that NASA is promoting as Hazardous.
Now video evidence of a significant "ground lighting" asteroid in Romania. No deaths reported

Its past time to get your emergency preparations in order, for any number of blackswans. Gas up the generator and test it under load.
Here is my suggested "bug in bug out" box of stuff to put together.

"We've all printed some debt for some folks"
it is not over until the moola choppers fly to tchaikovsky's war of 1812.
I heard there's supposed to be a great speaker down at the beer hall tonight...who wants to go?
I keep abusing the carbon footprint. All it does is snow and get cold. I want my global warming Al Gore promised.
It's January, Fucktard
Ok Ok Germany may have low unemployment compared to the rest of shit-europe.
But who the fuck would want to live in Germany?
As opposed to what? The USA?
Everyone I know who have to work and live in Germany for a period of time love it.
