Thursday Humor: To Serve And To Protect... And "To Shoot Minorities"

Tyler Durden's picture

Career-ending mistake, or the biggest Freudian slip in history?

The News-Enterprise quickly issued the following...

RETRACTION: This story - as it appeared in print - contained a major error and misquoted Sheriff John Ward. The version here has been corrected. The newspaper apologizes to the sheriff and other law-enforcement officers because of its mistake. - Ben Sheroan, editor.

Our liberal press at work.  The newspaper is NOT upset about printing it (because that is what most of them think) -- they are upset because they had to ADMIT that it was a 'mistake'.

the fact they retracted it shows them to be weak minded conservatives-we all KNOW that the statement, in many Police jurisdictions is true

The least principled people rise in politics and pass our laws and tax us. Then often the least bright rise in professions that enforce those laws. The brightest and most free thinking people create companies, products, and jobs. Then the criminal class, including politicians try to find ways to extract money from this productive class. That is the system.

Correct. And the courts are the most powerful of all the institutions, especially the SCOTUS.  Reason being that even should the people elect politicians who really represent them (I know, a crazy notion) the courts can simply rule their resulting legislation as 'unconstitutional'.  Why else do you think that a Certain Tribe have four members on the SCOTUS while White Protestants, you know, the people who established the whole framework, have zero representation?

More globalist bullshit attempting to bait the American citizenry with attempts to instigate riots and cause death and destruction

The real terrorists are everywhere and entrenched in the fabric of society like a tick whose jaws are locked in to a dog or cat sucking the life out of it

Never fear they are easy to locate and extract once you know a few simple tricks. It's not magick

If you do a goog-el search on him you'll see him in front of a fire truck. If you think you're awake and don't realize what this means and see the gang signs he's flashing you better start studying harder. Because you're not only still asleep you're practically in a coma

"A career ending mistake"?? You're joking, right?   That 'journalist' has a bright future in the MSM, especialy working for an editor named Ben Sheroan.

Yea I noticed that. Also it's funny how a small town rag could get such nation wide attention over a misprint. Seems almost...conspiratorial. There. I said it.

The NTSB "verified" pilot names Sum Ting Wong etc. on a MSM station was a test or mistake

Now that they've got their results they won't release that type of blatant BS in a main MSM market or source. They'll use a small satellite controlled outlet

Isn't it nice of ZH to point this out for everyone. It's almost as if they stand for truth, justice and the American way. Almost

"Almost"...well they have bills to pay and families to feed and investors to tribute. I would say ZH is doing a fab job considering all the Hagalean Dialetuc elements within.

Good old News-Enterprise. They wrote a story about my partners and me being involved in Medicare fraud twenty years ago and splattered it all over the front pages, then when they found out the source was from our former disgruntled office manager, SK, who was later convicted of embezzlement of our practice, and the whole thing was false, was a retraction printed? Well yes- a very obtuse worded one sentence retraction in the  back  page.

Oh, by the way, this Judge Hugh Roark sentenced her to no prison time. She merely had to make restitution. Of course SK never paid me, or my partners, a cent.

Then they had this reporter Evan Silverstein, who finally had to be fired for making false reports.

Then when I tried to take out an advertisment against why the County should not vote for former Judge Hugh Roark, who was incompetent beyond belief, citing my divorce case with particularity the case number and date  so the public could see for themselves, they wouldn't  print the add. The Louisville Courier Journal did see fit to publish front page details about my income, along with 9 other doctors in the state who were going through divorces as part of a campaign state wide to promote a Medicade provider tax. The doctors are so filthy rich they should pay  back 2% of their Medicaid payments.

The local attorneys for both parties (me and my ex-wife) knew that this Comissioner and Judge were incompetent, could not rule, did not know the law and could not apply it, and made a fool of this judge and commissioner in the legal equivalent of Dumb  and Dumber. These attoneys made over a hundred thousand dollars in legal fees in 1991 as a result of the chaos that this Judge and Commissioner allowed to ensue.

However, the News Engterprise did print an add  from an annoymous source who claimed that I, as a doctor, had some ulterior motive for placing  my advertisment supporting  Stuart MCCloy, the opposing candidate who lost.

Yep, that's  Kentucky, E-town style. Rotten to the core. Small town as small town can get.

Etown is as corrupt as they come. I agree, I have lived in the area since 1994, not in Etown, but Hardin County. The corruption is blatant and obvious. The biggest scam so far IMHO was the baseball field.

Hardin County sucks.  I've been there.   They throw small time dopers in prison for 10-20 years like nothing.  Judges are insane and or corrupt.  Simple minded provincial sheeple and lemmings live there.  Radcliff is a shithole.   There's no gold in Hardin Co anymore btw...  LOL

Leaving this misleading article as a sticky at the top of the page is disgraceful.

Even posting it in the first place was just for click bait purposes.

The quote is an editorial mistake and the statement was not made by the officer.

If there is supposedly a Freudian Slip, it was made by the personell at the newspaper, a reporter.

Zerohedge editors are now engaged in showing their own Freudian Slip.

I found while raising my children that acknowledging the behavior I wanted to see was far more effective than scolding for minor infractions.  If you do not want to see these types of articles do not respond at all- by scolding you have inadvertently given them the click they wanted. I think ZH readers are pretty savy and realize it was a mistake. The editor of the paper however had to take action. Someone was most likely fired- incorrect spelling and grammar are one thing- this another.

It's a fraud. He never said it (paper issued a retraction). Come on guys, how gullible are you? It's interesting too--someone at the paper felt comfortable putting this in there. Lots of people bought it (see above). Will anyone be fired?

This dude would have to be a total retard, than jurnalist would have to be an imbecile (if this is actual quote, why is the article structrued like this? it should be a strony only about this) and editor would have to be a cretin. It's I guess maybe somehow possible, but a prank by somebody at the office with access to final drafts does seem way more likely.

UPDATED scores: Police way behind in killing innocent (Al Sharpton says) blacks - about 130 per year. Blacks have tallied over 8000 kills - against other blacks last year. Unfortunately, at the request of police haters, cops may just give back over inner city neighborhoods to African Americans who have made it plain that they not only want less police "intereference" in the hood but that also there will be even less reporting of black on black crimes IE. Snitches End Up In Ditches.

This tactic has been used with questionable success in France as authorities have allowed Jihadists to govern and "look after  themselves" in French cities.
