The fundamental narratives that had sustained the previous 20 years of apparently limitless prosperity and moral certitude were breaking down. The primary narrative of American foreign policy--that the U.S. defended liberty and always won its foreign wars over evil totalitarianism/ fascism/ colonialism was being destroyed on a daily basis in Vietnam, an intrinsically political (and thus unwinnable by military means) war defending a hopelessly corrupt state created by quasi-colonial Great Powers fiat.
The primary political narrative--that democracy and the rule of law were sacrosanct--were undermined by the Watergate affair a few years later.
Millions of solid citizens with crewcuts and permed hairdo's looked at long-haired musicians and hippies, student protests and the emergence of ethnic and women's rights movements with dismayed disorientation--something's happening here, but why it's happening ain't exactly clear.
Meanwhile, those being held in contempt by the status quo were wondering why the shackles of the supposed golden era were so invisible to everyone who was wondering why the 1960s had exploded out of the idyllically secure and prosperous 1950s.
Those doing well reckoned everything is great because I'm doing great.
This is the source of national nervous breakdowns: those benefiting from the current arrangement--the privileged few and the vested interests skimming personal wealth from the political machinery and the economy--see only rosy statistics that verify their own privileged perspective that everything's going great.
Those whose experience is decidedly un-great see the problem differently: the problem is the political machinery and the corporate media are trying to manage perceptions rather than tackle the dysfunctional reality.
In effect, the Status Quo of happily vested interests is waging war on our intuition that there is something fundamentally amiss in America--something on the scale of the period 1966-1981 that saw the complete destruction of the official narratives.
Those outside the privileged few and the protected fiefdoms of vested interests--public unions, cartels, Wall Street, K Street, bankers, etc.--are constantly told their perception is the problem: the statistics and Wall Street prove everything's going great, so get with the program and stop being negative.
This of course goes hand in hand with blaming the less privileged: if only you worked as hard as we do, you wouldn't be experiencing anything but blue-sky prosperity.
This is of course the default perspective of privilege: overlook the unspoken advantages of privilege and lecture the less privileged on how they would be doing just fine if they were inside the gated fiefdoms instead of toiling in the wastelands beyond the walls of wealth and political power.
That something's happening here, but what it is ain't exactly clear is not coincidence--the ambiguity is the direct result of the war on our intuition, which is signaling us that the propaganda-driven narratives are false, despite being backed by (heavily gamed) statistics and the ceaseless reassurances of officials and "trusted" media sources.
Subtextually, we are constantly told that not only is the current arrangement that rewards vested interests not only the best possible world-- it is the only possible world: America cannot possibly operate in any other way than the current dysfunctional, predatory, parasitic, corrupt and venal arrangement that protects and enriches the few at the expense of the many.
Here is a chart of wealth inequality:
Those of us who have benefited from the vast expansion of asset bubbles (anyone who owns real estate, stocks or bonds that have appreciated greatly in the past six years--and I raise my hand to real estate) are supposed to remain silent, since we shared in the largesse. But complicity has a price, and I for one would be happy to see real estate fall in half (yes, half) so housing would again be affordable to the younger generations.
It's said that everyone has a price (usually by those doing the buying), but this is not true. Being bought off is a transaction of two parties.
It boils down to this: are America's problems real, or are they the result of perception? The Status Quo is expending staggering sums of time, money and energy to convince you that it's perception: if only you believe the statistics and assurances, all the problems your intuition has red-flagged will vanish.
So what will you accept as real--your intuition that something is deeply amiss in America, or the official propaganda that all is well? The goal of this war is to persuade you to surrender your independence and intuition in favor of passive acceptance of the cleverly cloaked tyranny of the current arrangement.
If they cannot persuade you, then disorienting you will do. Misdirecting your intuition is victory enough.
"... we are dealing with a quite sophisticated, relatively new method of political control, according to which all mechanisms that actually belong to the same side, supply the public with controversial estimations, information and predictions, in order to confuse minds and create further uncertainty and fear, or even panic."
funny that's the same chart that's on yellen's wall that measures her success
When the bullshit is piling up so fast that you doubt if even wings will help, a well televised war is just a few months or so away.
There's a man with a gun over there
telling me I got to beware
paranoia strikes a beat
into your life it will creep.
It would seem we have dated ourselves.
Eh, I'm only in my 40s and I know that song by heart. I even know where Buffalo Springfield got their name.
Did Merry Prankster ring a bell?
Fraud alert!!!!
That would be:
"paranoia strikes DEEP"
If you can't get that straight, it means you weren't in the '60s. Of course no greater truth is known that....'if you can remember the '60s, then you weren't there.' And that is before the '60s crowd started reaching for the Geritol. So I will give you a pass after all.
Kust because you are paranoid, it doesn't mean that people aren't out to get you.
Barrack Obama and Eric Holder are out to get me....and my purse. Am really looking forward to getting reprogrammed at the local community college.
too much Govt.. prob if they did flat tax say 22% for everything .. income / interest / capital gains.. and then small 5% goods tax... the reduction in paper work ect. for business prob see economy boom. Also would take the money out of polatics.. ie special group wants special privlages just, no point its all flat rates..
The system now is all set up so the govt creates the demand.. ie econmys weak so lets build something.. how about if your going to do QE use it to allow for lower taxs.. maybe increased pensions... and let rates run free...
22% sales tax on all goods and services sold in the USA by "inverted" corporations.
Might raise a few $$$$?
Paranoia strikes deep.
Into your heart it will creep.
It starts when your always afraid...
Step of of line, The Man come, and take you away.
Are you suggesting that the majority of the earth's wealth isn't held by the top 1%?
Oh, do tell. Enlighten us.
You ok?
5641502 seems stragely unconnected.
So, you got nothing.
Okay then.
Beyond dating myself. No
Not sure how the verse from the buffalo springfield song quoted in article could infer the premise that the 1% don't own the world.
More along the line of whats coming our way (if not already here)
Communication failure.
LofP, I thoroughly enjoy all of your contributions to the discussions. You have changed the way I think. I really want to know where you are going with this question because from the frame of reference that you keep hammering (What can not be sustained, will not be sustained.) it seems your rhetorical question displays a cognitive dissonance.
I am not going to speak for ForwardHo but my intuition tells me that it is impossible for the top 1% to be able to physically hold much of anything let alone the majority of the earth's wealth or whatever.
My point is that the the 99% are doing all of the work and the top 1% DEPEND upon our compliance. The top 1% would not be able to hold anything if all of their underlings told them to fuck it.
LOL.
Jesus what a farce.
It's a verse from the song quoted in post which seemed appropiate.
Lighten up, First things first and all that...
I'm so very confused... how does quoting the lyrics from that song turn into an argument about wealth disparity?
That steady drop in reading comprehension scores over the decades.......................
"They" said not to worry. We have a new test to sell your school district.................
heh, I thought pretty much everyone over 50 - and many younger music fans - knew those lyrics by heart. . . ah well.
the "99% doing all the work" do it because they believe the fake cultural history fed them by the "1%" - believe it so thoroughly that there can be no real shift in unfolding "reality"
simply because it is held in place by thoroughly entrained minds.
voila! "history" rhymes and repeats itself, eternally.
it's all in the minds, and the minds are fully blue-pilled up. game over.
((entrained: 3. (Zoology) zoology to adjust (an internal rhythm of an organism) so that it synchronizes with an external cycle...))
Forwardho! indeed, heh.
I think he was just quoting a verse from the song that explains if you don't stay in line with the status quo, TPTB, the State, or "the man" - its enforcers will come and take you away.
Oh quit your bitching and get a third part time job so you can BTFD you big crybaby.

"Fear is the mind killer"
Nice link, only 7min.
I like the way he describes courage, it is realistically attainable by anyone. So turn off the Hollywood movies designed to condition us that courage is possessed only by rare individuals. Like the movie Snowpiecer where the most often repeated and most irritating line ever is delivered to the so-called hero..."pleeeease, you must lead us".
Watch the stupid movie and try not to get irritated by this line, but then realize how heavily its promoted programing everyone to perceive courage as an exceptional quality possessed by only 0.001% of the population. Coincidence or priming?
Well it is not called Television Programming by accident after all...
TURN OFF HOLLYWOOD.
LOSE your TeeVee Set. Even the Movies, which pass for entertainment, are insidious propaganda.
I guess I needed to have included that in my list...
You're right but I actually find it quite interesting to watch some of these movies today - the fact I cannot stop rolling my eyes, mumbling corrections to plot/scripts, and laughing at the screaming propaganda, helps me confirm I am getting new eyes and ears. It is however disconcerting for friends when I start laughing and looking for tin foil - cause if they're gonna swallow the rubbish its what they should be wearing-not I.
Caution - when Brad Pitt or some other twit saves the world in a movie, putting tin foil on your friends head is likely to result in GMO pop corn being thrown at you... proceed with extreme care!
People watch that stuff because it supports their superiority complex...I knew there were people dumber than me.
yeah but I'm trying hard to focus on the fact their "conditioning" worked better on them than I for various random reasons perhaps due to life experiences...'cause I really do know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed
I'm just a useless eater in a tiara waitning for me Queenie's tid bits:)
MSM is just painful to hear and watch. I let go of the cable (and TV) years ago, around the same time as the microwave. Now I'm only a slave to the computer..
Re: Intuition ...
Jung was supposedly the only major thinker who claimed an individual actually has six pathways to obtain external information, the five senses plus that which is called intuition.
If accurate, then females' collective responses to the world can appear maddening to we 'intuition-challenged' males. (You never hear of "male intuition', do you?). Women's secondary emotional response to input on par with seeing/hearing would be much more understandable in this context.
Jung has historically been favorably received by the female audience worldwide.
Hunch, feeling, religions and intuition have no place in a rational, problem-solving world, except to the extent they can, as perception, have an impact on the real world.
"intuition" isn't gendered,
unless you believe it is.
in which case, "rational, problem-solving" will be your default "gender opposite", sure.
and all those "rational, problem-solving, gendered opposites" STILL create and perpetuate FatherSkyGods, and imagine "Eve-apple-biters" as the downfall of "Man", and continue to arm up and head out for endless Wars on behalf of
their "rational, problem-solving" beliefs - no feelings, just rational actions.
not everything should be seen as "opposite" and not everything is.
Unicorns are created by man's brain. Show me one in reality? Show me a god in reality. Is there a problem Houston understanding reality? I don't think so. NASA does not tolerate "intuition" in it's calcuations.
a well-researched "NASA" might be of interest to you. . .
layered realities can be fascinating, if disruptive.
Hunch, feeling, religions and intuition have no place in a rational, problem-solving world, except to the extent they can, as perception, have an impact on the real world.
As it is EVIDENTIAL that these perceptions, and precepts, can and do have an impact on the "real world" then, SINCE hunch, feeling, religion and intuition do have that impact, then it is information which cannot be rationally dismissed at all, ever.
Thnks for your support.
That is actually very unenlightened. If you had all of the time and reources in the world you may not need hunches and intuition, but who does? Maybe someone sitting in an ivory tower may come close. No place for religion? Feelings? Oh well, some never have use for those.
You never hear of "male PMS" either, do you?
Female intuition? Bullshit. I have encountered way too many women (and men, for that matter) who are so dreadfully stupid and selfish to be able to see their own good --- as I am sure you have too, no doubt.
Why women would care to receive Jung's writing is belongs in the same bucket as Why women follow a fashion industry led by homosexuals.
LOL I wondered about that whole fashion thing as well.
It may not be PC but I have a different kind of intuition to the men in my family - I'm inclined to perceive risk, they're inclined to perceive opportunities (not the best description as my risk sensors fail grandly at times eg GFC, but I learned painfully).
What I am learning is how to undo the manipulation of my genders fear - in this PC world of odd terms like micro-aggressions ("you made a great point today" oh my, that sexist man really means I do not make great points 24/7 how aggressive and oppressive!!) and facilitated terror ("see something, say something, 'cause they throw babies out of incubators"); its rather tricky discerning what is my intuition and what is my conditioning's mind numbing intuition. It is also a pleasure to discover oneself and autonomy.
The lost art in life, determining what is actually your own intuition (vs programmed response) and also, that one can develop courage.
An interesting comment in an article depicting the distortion of true self preservation intuition into the hunt for manufactured PC threats:
the ultimate logic of "the personal is political" which, in practice, erases the personal, private realm and converts every single act a person takes into a political matter that effects others. Therefore, every single act a person takes is the business of society, and something upon which society has a right to comment and over which it claims a right of control.
http://www.thedailybell.com/editorials/35979/Wendy-McElroy-Victims-Frant...
Even if men cut out their tongues, neurotic women would still perceive "micro-aggression" everywhere.
I think Wendy McElroy's article is great but it only scratches the surface. Not all women are the same. Some women are able to cope with what neurotic women perceive to be aggression. What gives rise to those differences among women?
Men want to understand the universe. Womewn just want to know the shortest route to the nearest Wally world.
.
know that "women" =/= "female" - one is a sexed human, the other a cultural creation.
see how cultures globally define their "women" roles and rules, and how various females in-habit them.
then, if you want a real mind-fuck, realise the FACT that one in 2000 births tend towards ambiguous genitalia, and are ASSIGNED a gender by (mostly men) doctors, the better to socialise them into the cultures.
as to the fashion industry, yes, quite hilarious that the flat-chested stick figures promoted as ideal for women come from the minds of gay men. . . bitch-y, hmm.
but then, turn the page, and realise the homo-erotic uniformed jocks working out, steroided, gazing at themselves in gym-mirrors, sneak-peeks at the dude next to them for "comparison", then off to play soldier/police.
wot a world, eh.
Dogs liked him too.
Studies have shown that many dogs can tell their masters are coming home before their physical senses can detect that fact.
I have a deaf dog that runs to the door 2 minutes before the wife returns home. He even barks like deaf people talk.
Nguf nguf.
Lying on the floor, your dog feels the rumbling of the ground and recognizes your wife's distinct driving as does probably everybody else in the neighborhood?
Seriously. I know what you mean. I am a dog-owner too. However, the answer is likely simpler than you may think: your dog is not 100% deaf.
There is something in the routine of your wife's arrival that triggers a series of sounds (perhaps too high or too low for us to hear; maybe the car/bus screetches 2 minutes before?) and motions that are repetitive. The dog recognizes the repetition of all those actions. No more and no less.
Yet Jung was male and discovered intuition by using his ituition. It has many names, "gut feeling" - your stomach has more neuro receptors than your brain. Premenition, etc.
it is different however than thinking with your dick, which is an entirely male ability, that no amount of intellect or the 6 senses can overcome.
so basically men have 7 sensory pathways to evaluate or know the world by.
LOL, men are so complicated every day of every month ;)
but was Jung really representative of the average man?
Yes! Either he wants to fuck you or he does not.
Now, I return the question. Is your appreciation of Jung any different than your appreciation of any other man?
Buffalo Springfield was military propaganda. Check out the book "Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon" by Dave McGowan.
Strange ass book.
'Weird seams inside the goldmine.'
I sincerely doubt Little Jimmy was a party to the Admiral's supposed psy-op plan.
Or any plan for that matter.
Reminds me of this:
“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”
- Upton Sinclair, I, Candidate for Governor: And How I Got Licked
Look around you at the state of the economy in your City. You will not be confused.
the propaganda will continue until morale improves
If they cannot persuade you, then disorienting you will do.
They did this to my 88 year old mother. They put the word "Send" on the button on her phone that she got for Christmas. For her to answer an incoming call she has to press the "Send" button. It took her two weeks to accept this fact and finally begin using the phone. I told her right away that it is an attack on her by the NWO. She did not understand.
Rotary dial phones did not have this annoying feature. No room for self doubt.
You dialed, the call went out.
No net.
Good stuff Charles. It is important to recognize that many have accumulated the "financial wealth" due to the demographic bubble combined with the monetary policies aimed at peretuating the financial asset/consumption ponzi. The boomers and older are not going to shift their "gains" to investments in productive (risky) real assets. They will keep them in bonds. There is 1 and only 1 semi stable transition to true Capitalism (that doesn't REQUIRE ponzi growth, but does allocate scarce resources efficiently and effectively when factor costs aren't being distorted by TBTJ and G3 CB) and that is through gold / honest money where TBTJ cannot incessantly abuse asymmetric leverage and control of money supply to effectively steal from others as they are trying to do right now with the oil takedown... (see the JPM/Resolue deal yesterday...).
Something's amiss? Please Z/H ( hands up ) can i answer this one?
The UGLY TRUTH.

Inside The LC: The Strange but Mostly True Story of Laurel Canyon and the Birth of the Hippie Generation
Part I
May 8, 2008
[J]oin me now, if you have the time, as we take a stroll down memory lane to a time nearly four-and-a-half decades ago – a time when America last had uniformed ground troops fighting a sustained and bloody battle to impose, uhmm, ‘democracy’ on a sovereign nation.
It is the first week of August, 1964, and U.S. warships under the command of U.S. Navy Admiral George Stephen Morrison have allegedly come under attack while patrolling Vietnam’s Tonkin Gulf. This event, subsequently dubbed the ‘Tonkin Gulf Incident,’ will result in the immediate passing by the U.S. Congress of the obviously pre-drafted Tonkin Gulf Resolution, which will, in turn, quickly lead to America’s deep immersion into the bloody Vietnam quagmire. Before it is over, well over fifty thousand American bodies – along with literally millions of Southeast Asian bodies – will litter the battlefields of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
For the record, the Tonkin Gulf Incident appears to differ somewhat from other alleged provocations that have driven this country to war. This was not, as we have seen so many times before, a ‘false flag’ operation (which is to say, an operation that involves Uncle Sam attacking himself and then pointing an accusatory finger at someone else). It was also not, as we have also seen on more than one occasion, an attack that was quite deliberately provoked. No, what the Tonkin Gulf incident actually was, as it turns out, is an ‘attack’ that never took place at all. The entire incident, as has been all but officially acknowledged, was spun from whole cloth. (It is quite possible, however, that the intent was to provoke a defensive response, which could then be cast as an unprovoked attack on U.S ships. The ships in question were on an intelligence mission and were operating in a decidedly provocative manner. It is quite possible that when Vietnamese forces failed to respond as anticipated, Uncle Sam decided to just pretend as though they had.)
Nevertheless, by early February 1965, the U.S. will – without a declaration of war and with no valid reason to wage one – begin indiscriminately bombing North Vietnam. By March of that same year, the infamous “Operation Rolling Thunder” will have commenced. Over the course of the next three-and-a-half years, millions of tons of bombs, missiles, rockets, incendiary devices and chemical warfare agents will be dumped on the people of Vietnam in what can only be described as one of the worst crimes against humanity ever perpetrated on this planet.
Also in March of 1965, the first uniformed U.S. soldier will officially set foot on Vietnamese soil (although Special Forces units masquerading as ‘advisers’ and ‘trainers’ had been there for at least four years, and likely much longer). By April 1965, fully 25,000 uniformed American kids, most still teenagers barely out of high school, will be slogging through the rice paddies of Vietnam. By the end of the year, U.S. troop strength will have surged to 200,000.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the world in those early months of 1965, a new ‘scene’ is just beginning to take shape in the city of Los Angeles. In a geographically and socially isolated community known as Laurel Canyon – a heavily wooded, rustic, serene, yet vaguely ominous slice of LA nestled in the hills that separate the Los Angeles basin from the San Fernando Valley – musicians, singers and songwriters suddenly begin to gather as though summoned there by some unseen Pied Piper. Within months, the ‘hippie/flower child’ movement will be given birth there, along with the new style of music that will provide the soundtrack for the tumultuous second half of the 1960s.
WE HAD TO SAVE THE WORLD FROM THE ADVANCE OF GODLESS COMMUNISM. DAMMIT.
Seems rather laughable considering our present Commander in Chief.
What is most amazing is the amount of people that don't see the distortion. Look at the comment sections on the dumbo sites, pitiful. Still by some measure people are coming along by judging that venue. When you spot a FED comment on a Yahoo thread it can be uplifting.
Quite simply, the people have foregotten who the are. They are the creators of their servant government, and they have allowed the roles to be switched. People do have a duty to their fellow man, but have no duties to their government. Government is a revocable, express trust and the people are the settlor / beneficiaires. A Google of those terms will put everything into proper persepective.
The Fed Res bank owners find this statement to be amusing.
Money, real money, is the lifeblood of the economy, of all commerce, and turning ownership and control of it over to private bankers to print at will for their own benefit is the destruction not only of the economy but of the government and the nation.
Government can be created by the people but it can be bought by criminals who've been given the nation’s medium of exchange by the Congress, who then can purchase our politicians and, thus, our government by outbidding the people with unbacked counterfeit.
The international bankers can replicate the monetary unit without regard to cost, whether it’s paper currency or a computer entry, It’s fraud. The resulting chaos and monetary inflation has allowed the nation’s power and influence to fall almost solely into the hands of Goldman Sachs, the Rothschilds and the Rockefellers.
As for our current monetary system, says Mish:
"Clearly debt is not the lifeblood of the economy. By extension, credit is not the lifeblood of the economy either. Rather it is savings that is the lifeblood of the economy, because without adequate savings, extending credit is nothing but a pyramid scheme that eventually implodes, which is of course what happened."

where is the mystery.... jobs have been shipped overseas and the "service" economy is really a burger flipping low IQ going nowhere SERVANT EXISTENCE... hence the rise of drugs... our pillars of society are CORRUPT and people see this clearly... the government is totally corrupt and turned to eat the citizens.... and become a cancer destroying the host...
THE IVORY-TOWER COMMIE IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL "ELITE" AND THE "MEDIA/PRAVDA" have been pursing a godless state managed FAILED UTOPIA womb to tomb / we know better campaign for 101 years ...
Politicians are in business for themselves at the expense of those they represent...
FAR AS THE UNEQUAL distribution of WEALTH... what about the unequal distribution of INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY, 60 years of libtard waste of TRILLIONS on FAILED social experiments, handing out free shit to parasites... and so the corrupt, godless, 47% parasite population of human excrement is the result...
to blame it on unequal distribution is more commie bullshit.. Look at every commie country and the wealth is distributed EXACTLY THE SAME... this is what the unwashed masses dont get...
FACT IS THE USSA ECONOMY IS A WAR MACHINE WITHOUT WHICH IT GOES INTO RECESSION / DEPRESSION.
vietnam was a staged confrontation and at one point the n. vietnamese admitted defeat... at the end teens and 70 year olds were being sent south... vietnam was just fueling the war machine and the LBJ supporters / Brown and Root payback RMKBRJ raymond morrison knudsen brown and root and j.a.jones raped the taxpayers as did vinnell and all the contractors... instead of world wars we have liitle non-stop wars.. if there is no enemy one is created... the real evil is left alone and proxies are set loose..
when you have a muslim commie racist traitor plus support actors at the helm... what you see is the result.. a deliberate destruction and erosion of what made the ussa great in the first place.. capitalism no longer exists... crony capitalism, corruption crony kickback are running the show.. open borders, loose security setting up innocent citizens to islamic radial attacks (french muzzies are free to come here if they wish plus the border is wide open) and better yet, import illegals and then put them on welfare and healthcare and free education... yeah that helps the wealth distribution.
WEALTH DISTRIBUTION IS A DISTRACTION... A LEFT WING RED HERRING ARGUMENT...
The middle class has accepted a militarized police. They don't need them as a buffer between themselves and the poor anymore.
Wealth distribution isn't a distraction...it's the point.
It allows the utimate control. Welfare/ EBT is a temporary holding effort until we're all down on the plantation.
Then the work assignments will begin to realize 'The Five Year Plan'.
esum in response to "where is the mystery.... jobs have been shipped overseas and the "service" economy is really a burger flipping low IQ going nowhere SERVANT EXISTENCE... "
In an interesting book by Zachary Karabell- "The Leading Indicators," published 2014, he addresses this argument. I will quote the passage verbatim- it begins at the bottom of page 178 and continues on 179.
"In addition, since 2010, there has been a gradual revival of U.S. manufacturing, but without a sizeable increase in manufacturing employment or wages. That has exposed what the trade statistics have obscured: technology, robotics, and global supply chain have done more to erode wages and eliminate positions than anything else."
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the history behind the numbers our economy is measured by. It is not necessary to be a statistician to comprehend or appreciate.
Welcome to the non-linear world. Conflicting reports, statistics, images are all meant to keep us from forming a cohesive narrative to unseat the status quo. Take for instance the Sony Hacking incident- North Korea did it- no Russia did it- no disgruntled former Sony employee the culprit- no FBI is now sure North Korea the source. Statistics- jobs numbers were great says one article in the NY Times, the next headline same paper same day- wages are down. From the ad agencies- young trim people eat massive burgers with enough calories for the day, people with beautiful teeth smoke, fit men drink beer and watch sports. Health reports- eggs are bad for you, no they are good for you. Salt is bad- no it's good. Fat is bad- no it's good.
We are bombarded with conflicting information until we give up. We can't trust anyone. We can't believe in anything. We hail the internet as our savior but remember all this technology we worship has its roots in military applications. Do you really think they pass on this marvelous stuff for our benefit or is it to further an agenda born long ago. Consolidation of power is the end game. First it was the tv that kept us tuned in and now it is another screen.
If you have any desire to keep what's little left of your freedom resist a cashless society. When all transactions leave a digital trail it is game over. This is my intuition and I am going to listen to it. I get out the cash I will need at the beginning of each week and shop my local merchants. I love the internet but realize it too can be misused.
Thank you Charles Hugh Smith- I enjoy your work and especially your candor regarding your stake in the game. It is nice to hear you too are concerned about future generations.
cracks me up these tools that brag about the points they get for using their credit cards. Every purchase is a tracking point in a database sold to marketers and the .gov 3 letter agencies.
how much is your privacy worth? to me its enough to only use cards where and when i cant use cash, ie airline tickets, etc.
cash is king, its a stick in the eye of the beast.
“Truth is the opinion of the powerful.”
“[E]ssentialism is the antithesis of the philosophy driving the Foucauldian Zionist American Empire and its Nietzschean Islamic proxies (ISIS/ISIL/The Caliph), all of whom believe with Thrasymachus, that truth (and by extension reason) is the opinion of the powerful, who then impose their will on the weak.” – Dr. E. Michael Jones
Comprachicos is a Spanish word that means “child-buyers”; famous in the seventeenth century, they legally bought and sold children to make monsters of them. Why monsters? To make the people laugh.
Today’s comprachicos are the educators who deliberately make mental dwarfs of America’s children. They start a child’s education early, at the age of three and earlier, purposely to destroy his cognitive development, i.e., the interaction between his conscious mind and the automatic functions of his subconscious. They do this at a time in a child’s life when his learning ability has the capacity of a genius because a dwarf must be started when he’s small.
The idea is to put what God put in harmony in deformity; where God put perfection, to botch.
Why? “The practice of degrading man leads one to the practice of deforming him. Deformity completes the task of political suppression… The comprachicos had a talent, to disfigure, that made them valuable in politics…they removed his memory.”
Ayn Rand in The Comprachicos explained in 1970 how American and Europeans educators "take a child before he is fully aware of reality and never let him develop that awareness. Where nature had put a normal brain, they put mental retardation. To make you unconscious for life by means of your own brain, nothing can be more ingenious... The primary goal of a Progressive nursery school is ’social adjustment’; this is to be developed by means of group activities, in which a child is expected to develop both ‘self-expression’ (in the form of anything he might feel like doing) and conformity to the group.”
And he is told to adjust:
“To anything. To cruelty, to injustice, to blindness, to silliness, to pretentiousness, to snubs, to mockery, to treachery, to lies, to incomprehensible demands, to unwanted favors, to nagging affections, to unprovoked hostilities—and to the overwhelming, overpowering presence of Whim as the ruler of everything.”
Why? So that the will of the pack is internalized. So that individual discernment and intellect and opposition to the mob is eradicated. When reason is beyond the grasp of most men, they remain indifferent camp followers to the comprachicos’ advance. They are ready to be herded into the Zionist American Empire’s New World Order.
The patient has become unconscious by means of stupefying…
“In China, since time immemorial, they have achieved refinement in a special art and industry: the molding of a living man. One takes a child two or three years old, one puts him into a porcelain vase, more or less grotesque in shape, without cover or bottom, so that the head and feet protrude. In the daytime, one keeps this vase standing upright; at night, one lays it down, so that the child can sleep. Thus the child expands without growing, slowly filling the contours of the vase with his compressed flesh and twisted bones. This bottled development continues for several years. At a certain point, it becomes irreparable. When one judges that this has occurred and that the monster is made, one breaks the vase, the child comes out, and one has a man in the shape of a pot. – Victor Hugo, The Man Who Laughs, translation [Rand’s]
“Victor Hugo wrote this in the nineteenth century. His exalted mind could not conceive that so unspeakable a form of inhumanity would ever be possible again. The twentieth century proved him wrong. The production of monsters—helpless, twisted monsters whose normal development has been stunted—goes on all around us.
“But the modern heirs of the comprachicos are smarter and subtler than their predecessors: they do not hide, they practice their trade in the open; they do not buy children, the children are delivered to them… They do not place a child into a vase to adjust his body to its contours. They place him into a “Progressive” nursery school (or day care center) to adjust him to society…”
I can't believe what I just Read. God has come down again and infused a human being with eternal truths. Where's a loony bin when it's needed. Needed one in Jerusalem many years ago.
French Philosopher Michel Faucault’s replacement of Christian morality with sexual deviance in American culture has anesthetized your and like-minded other’s thinking and conscience regarding truth and society’s real moral issues like the promotion of economic justice.
To buy into the Foucauldian revolution that swept the nation’s English departments and then its universities and then its legal system, is to buy into anti-reason and decadence and chaos which “found its most recent expression in the campaign to promote gay marriage.”
The philosophy driving the Foucauldian Zionist American Empire is the philosophy of the Empire of Chaos.
Morality in your mind now is identical to sexual deviance, or politicial correctness, by which the strong can dominate the weak. Interesting that Foucauldianism really is nothing more than the use of “deviant figures like the homosexual, the insane and the criminal, as an attack on the notion of Logos - the Word of God, the principle of divine reason and creative order – the Logos of sex, the Logos of the Family, the Logos of morality, and at base the Logos of being in general,” as pointed out by Dr. Jones.
The fight for reason in America now comes down to Logos versus anti-Logos, or as Jones articulates, “submitting the human will to the will of God” or “subjugating Logos to the will of the strong.”
We compromise morality, reason and truth at our peril.
And if I am wrong, you explain to me the phenomena of the World’s existence and how the world and man can co-exist without reason, without truth, and without the Infinite Energy which sets matter in motion (Hegel).
Logos will win. And your shouting and “the shouting of the Israel Lobby is nothing more than background music accompanying the birth pangs of the New New World Order.”
Jerusalem should have been left in ruins as a reminder to future generations. But hey, people are fucking stupid.
Imagine what the chart would look like if Democrats had allowed just a small portion of people's social security to be put into the broader market. And imagine if the '99%' hadn't bought the BS of feeling the need to pay the monthly (recurring) $100 or so to 'stay conected' with 'smart' (LOL) phones and other useless unenriching purchases. In addition, just imagine the least fortunate among us having enough sense to help themselves (real education) in spite of government suggestiion 'Big Brother' can give them everything in their lives they need.
At least in part these wealth figures are the result of the Fed doing the only thing it can do to prop up and inflate assest prices, in an attempt to prevent further collapse. And ongoing our government continues spending like a drunken sailor. Now its called the debt super cycle. Its gone on for 5 - 6 decades. The spending in large measure goes to policies that buy off peoples incentives to work which build their own lives, communities, cities counties and states - and ultimately the country.
Meanwhile, and forever, our citizens (on average suffering from falling education levels) think if they can save a dime at a discount store they are better off - with the flip side of this bevavior being that their own jobs in the once mighty manufacturing sector disappear along with secondary and tertiary associated jobs.
Then, of course, we have union thugs arguing for control of the minds of those stupid enough to get hooked in. And in some cases required ridiculous and crippling pay and requirements on companies trying to get through the toughest economic enviromentn in what is approaching 100 years. (In some cases autoworkers a few years ago were getting the equivalent of $72 per hour. There are astounding stories in this regard)
So now we find out federal debt alone at $18 trillion, and a half trillion $ in yearly deficit - with only one trillion being too large for the human mind to comprehend. Do we care to get into future unfunded promises that are 4-5 times the amount of the national det? And unfunded (ridiclulously excessive) pension promises). The interest rate is phony though perhaps a requirement to prevent collapse on a scale much broader than just the federal level. Extrapolate how balloon loans for mortgage loans can explode to our federal, state, local and personal debt.
And somehow for all these decades anyone that wanted to control spending and suggested economic rationality has been vilified by 95% of press outlets.
Hi I'm Fang Sin Rotbaum and I'm your new anesthesiologist. I got my certificate of medicine from the Last Place Community College Job Training Center, from a program led by instructors who completed the program but have never actually practiced medicine. Now that you know my qualifications and can't fire me because of a government job placement program HR bought, lets go see some patients!
Hi I'm Cal Crackercracker and I'm your new middle management bureaucrat. I'm fresh out of the Inferior Community College Job Training Center prisoner reform program, a program led by excons like myself. Now that you know my qualifications, from now on I'm going to be giving the orders around here. Now, go do my job. Get out of here, I have things to do.
I joked with my surgical anesthesiologist that I was paying a bundle so he better do a good job knocking me out.
He said any idiot can gas you out. You're paying me to bring you back.
We are no longer a country but more
a variety of special interest groups. Your premise
that the 1%ers care about anything but getting
moar is a dream. Basic Plan: coke fires 2,000
using savings and borrowing money at zero
to BB stock so that price and options give them
moar money to buy stuff like real estate. Politicians and
special interests feed off of them and mass media creates
the narrative. While we take selfies, 3rd world terrorists plan.
Honestly, I'm not that old yet, and it's already getting to feel like I won't live to see the dénounment of this fucking train wreck. Sitzkrieg indeed.
"...full-blown national nervous breakdown that would endure for 15 years until 1981."
Ah, yes...the 70s! So THAT'S what it was.
The other day I was listening to the latest Caravan to Midnight podcast. John B was interviewing Max Weeks on his newly minted book which provides an interesting perspective on why the American populace is mind captured.
Sounds like an interesting read:

It's not the same as the 50s and 60s. The Hippies weren't some economically disadvantaged underclass. They were the spoiled offspring of an increasingly wealthy middle and upper middle class who were instilled with a liberal does of entitlement and rebelled against the perceived "injustice" of their parents' expectations.
I would refer to 'Ain't that a Bitch' http://youtu.be/tlgOVmLfNnU?t=20m50s
"The problem situation is abstract", "Somebody's doing sometin' slick, yeah they are!"
I don't entirely agree with Smith's assessment here. While Vietnam was the catalyst much of the "national nervous breakdown" was the Baby Boomers/Counter Culture's challenge of all previously held beliefs and "societal norms". They were against traditional marriage and two-parent families so they created Communes, free love, no-fault divorce, and the Sexual Revolution in the '70's. They challenged religion and joined cults like the Hare Krishnas and Moonies. They experimented with drugs and then sought corporate excess in the 80's and 90's and so on to today.
Much of the numerous crises that have followed since - the 1990's til today - are the bitter harvest of Boomer excesses. The next generations' task is to put things back together but I fear it may take the generation after the Millennials to do it.
