(he called him out on the lawn) but he was such a weak person, what could he do? someone said w you need our old friend dick to help you out, and george jr being weak and feeble mostly, elected by karl rove, he accepted their help. still he had ideas of his own, he appointed oneil, a ceo as sec of treasury, and then snow, another ceo, to the post. he ran the wh like a business. he had an idea. when the dubai deal fell through, the port authority, he had to lfire snow and he leaned on the powerful shoulders of hank paulsen. after all he had wanted to fix iraq (with jeffersonian democracy) after his father had made a mess of the country, and was double dealing everyone. he trusted powell, and others, and the military did not deliver the goods. iraq was triple quadruple down, he learned this at harvard b school. the stock market took off, he was reelected, it was winwinwinwinwin, until 2008. then george w woke up in his own potemkin village, stripped of his medals. still there was no one to officially drive the dagger through his heart, what little bit of that was left. we felt sorry for george, just a good guy trying to do the right thing. 911 was after all a horrific event, demanding a response. obama was elected to spread the message, move forward nothing to see, but the vestments of power were too enticing for a community organizer from chicago. two terms to promsie what was already delivered. and no accounting for weakness or forebearance. now the stage is empty, and all the dancers have retired to the wings. we anticipate the next act.

I remember the first few times I visited ZH somebody told me about a certain bunch of sickos running paedophile rings in DC and elsewhere that had the powerful and famous in its grip. the minor leagues, although cosby deserves mention, polanski is a victim with a form of PTSD, ( wife 8mos pregnant murdered brutally) he later made Death and the Maiden which explores the subject of violation and revenge. i found the end very disquieting, you are left with the question, what should she have done? polanskis victim in the rape case has basically signed off on the matter (while cosby's have not). of course polanskis is a single incident as far as we know. im glad you put the two names together it gives us time to sort these things out. i wonder if cosby was hanging around the playboy club in those days? hef was liberal but that liberal?
