Hollande Furious After Netanyahu Participates In Paris March, Disobeying French President's Request

Tyler Durden's picture

There was one world leader who was out of step with the rest of political elite during yesterday's theatrical procession of world leaders for French unity and for press freedom (even as the bulk of them engage in prosecution of freedom of speech across their own nations): Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In fact, as Reuters reports, he managed to "ruffle a few feathers while taking part in the "Charlie Hebdo" rally in Paris on Sunday" because this was an event his office initially said he would not be attending following a specific request form French president Hollande not to come to Paris, but ultimately ended up participating in much to the Chagrin of the French president.

As Reuters further reports, "a video posted on Facebook, the news footage mockingly set to the Looney Tunes cartoon music, showed Netanyahu maneuvering his way to the front of the rally with the help of several bodyguards, allowing him to be photographed arm-in-arm with other leaders, including French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel

Those pictures were quickly posted on Netanyahu's Twitter feed, while the banner on his Facebook page was changed to a photograph of him in the front row, shoulder-to-shoulder with Hollande, Merkel, Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and EU leaders Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk.

Not shown in the picture was Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who was standing alongside Tusk, six feet (two meters) from Netanyahu. The two broke off peace talks last April and tensions between them have risen since, with Netanyahu accusing Abbas of inciting violence against Israelis.

The irony is that neither Netanyahu nor Abbas initially planned to be in Paris.

What happened is that according to sources in Netanyahu's office said that in a phone call on Friday evening an adviser to Hollande had suggested it would be "complicated" and "uncomfortable" if the Israeli leader attended the Sunday march, largely because of security concerns.

Actually it was that... and other concerns. Here is Haaretz with the full story.

Hollande asked Netanyahu not to attend Paris memorial march

French President Francois Hollande conveyed a message to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the weekend asking him not to come to Paris to take part in the march against terror on Sunday, according to an Israeli source who was privy to the contacts between the Elysees Palace and the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. The fact that this message had been conveyed was first reported by Channel 2.

After the French government began to send invitations to world leaders to participate in the rally against terror, Hollande’s national security adviser, Jacques Audibert, contacted his Israeli counterpart, Yossi Cohen, and said that Hollande would prefer that Netanyahu not attend, the source said.

Audibert explained that Hollande wanted the event to focus on demonstrating solidarity with France, and to avoid anything liable to divert attention to other controversial issues, like Jewish-Muslim relations or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Audibert said that Hollande hoped that Netanyahu would understand the difficulties his arrival might pose and would announce that he would not be attending.

The source noted that one of the French concerns - not conveyed to representatives of the Israeli government - was that Netanyahu would take advantage of the event for campaign purposes and make speeches, especially about the Jews of France. Such statements, the Elysee Palace feared, would hurt the demonstration of solidarity the French government was trying to promote as part of dealing with the terror attacks.

According to the source, Netanyahu at first acquiesced to the French request. In any case, the Shin Bet security service unit that protects public figures considered the arrangements for the prime minister’s security to be complex. And so, on Saturday evening, Netanyahu’s people announced that he would not be flying to Paris because of security concerns. Netanyahu told the French he would come to France on Tuesday for a Jewish community event.

The French apparently sent the same message to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Like Netanyahu, Abbas acceded to the French request and released a strange statement about the same time Netanyahu released his, that he would not be attending the event because of the bad weather.

However, on Saturday night, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett announced their intention to go to Paris and take part in the march and meet with the Jewish community. When Netanyahu heard they were going, he informed the French he would be attending the march after all.

According to the source, when Cohen informed Audibert that Netanyahu would be attending the event after all, Audibert angrily told Cohen that the prime minister’s conduct would have an adverse effect on ties between the two countries as long as Hollande was president of France and Netanyahu was prime minister of Israel.

Audibert made it clear that in light of Netanyahu's intention to arrive, an invitation would also be extended to Abbas. And indeed, several hours after Abbas announced that he would not be traveling to Paris, his office issued a statement stating that he would in fact be at the march.

Hollande's anger at Netanyahu was evident during the ceremony held Sunday evening following the march at the Grand Synagogue in Paris, an event attended by hundreds of members of the local Jewish community.

Hollande sat through most of the ceremony, but when Netanyahu's turn at the podium arrived, the French president got up from his seat and made an early exit.

Netanyahu gives a speech during the ceremony.(AFP)

Upset at Netanyahu, Hollande also presumably preferred to avoid a rerun of the 2012 ceremony for the victims of the Toulouse shooting – to which Netanyahu arrived just as he was commencing his elections campaign.

The French weekly La Canard Enchaine revealed then that Hollande complained in closed talks after that event that he found it unfortunate that Netanyahu had come to Paris to conduct a "two-staged election campaign," starting with a memorial for those murdered at the Jewish school in Tolouse, followed by a his speech at a ceremony there. The French president was quoted by the report saying that it was only because he came with Netanyahu to the ceremony that the Israeli prime minister toned down his speech.

Sources in the Prime Minister's Bureau said Sunday that when contacts were first made with the French over Netanyahu's trip this week, they were told that the visit could "cause difficulties." According to the sources, the Israelis understood that the French were referring mainly to security issues. They added that after the security arrangements were made, Hollande told Netanyahu in a phone call on Saturday evening that he would be happy to see him.

Associates of Netanyahu said that at no point did the French tie Netanyahu's visit in with that of Abbas.

Thank you for that piece. It shines a light perfectly on the hypocrisy of Jews and free speech. This a recently published book on holocaust revision. The greatest lie of the 20th century will soon be unraveled:
"Breaking the Spell—The Holocaust: Myth and Reality"
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00Q8UK8BM?ie=UTF8&redirectFromSS=1&pc_red...
Here is a part of The Barnes review:
Dr. Nicholas Kollerstrom

In 1941, British Intelligence analysts cracked the German "Enigma" code. This undermined the German war effort—but also threw new light on day-by-day events in the Nazi concentration camp system.
Between January 1942 and January 1943, encrypted radio communications between those camps and the Berlin headquarters were intercepted and decrypted. Oddly enough, historians have largely ignored the information furnished in these intercepts relating to "arrivals," "departures," recorded deaths and other events at these camps.
The only reasonable explanation for this embarrassing omission is that the intercepted data seriously contradicts, even refutes, the orthodox "Holocaust" narrative. The revealed information does not expose a program of mass murder and racial genocide.
Quite the opposite: it reveals that the Germans were determined, desperate even, to reduce the death rate in their work camps, which was caused by catastrophic typhus epidemics.
Were the British here hoodwinked by the Nazis, as some historians to this day try to claim-or is the truth both simpler and more shocking? In 1988 and 1991 forensic studies threw light on the question of whether or not the claimed gas chambers at Auschwitz had served as slaughter houses for hundreds of thousands of people.
Both studies had concluded that the only facilities where Zyklon B gas had been used were hygienic rather than homicidal, killing bugs rather than Jews. Needless to say that these iconoclastic studies were ignored or in some countries even outlawed, and that their authors were ostracized and even imprisoned.
Dr. Kollerstrom, a science historian, has taken these studies, which are in obvious, stark contrast to the widely accepted narrative, as a starting point for his own endeavour into the land of taboo. ...continued at: http://www.barnesreview.org/breaking-the-spell%C3%A2%C2%80%C2%94the-holo...

I also have my doubts about this article, because Hollande is a Zio-a..licker. I guess this is just the usual charade of the ZOG-actors for the voting sheeple. In the case of France to calm down the muslims, which they have plenty from their former colonies.

So for the sheeple they are playing the souvereign politicians, while in reality they do everything the Jews want them to do. That becomes even more apparent if one thinks about the fact, that because of a few killed people they organize such a mass propaganda event, while every day in France policemen and White Europeans are killed by muslims, while the same hypocrites hail this as multicultural paradise. It shows, that it is not about the victims, but it is intended to direct it against the muslim countries that are not in the hands of the Zionists.

If they would mean what they say, then every onest person would ask the question: what has been going wrong, that France and Europe become battlefields of the problems in the middle east? Maybe the mass immigration, which is done against the democratic will of the people, has something to do with the import of all problems from all over the world? And if we honestly moarn, then we will undo this wrong development.

And since this does not happen, but everything is done to use this terror for even more ZOG-terror against muslim countries (although the terrorists even CLEARLY say, that it's their kind of revenge!), it is obvious that Hollande is Nethanjahu's poodle.

Given that Jews were the apparent target it only makes sense that the French would attempt to exclude the king of the Jews. It has happened before.

I can envision Hollande throwing himself to the ground before his French Islamists begging them to please don't shoot, he will do anything. Does anyone remember how easily France fell before the Nazis, how they capitulated and ultimately embraced them? They are abrogation specialists and understand completely how the Islamic mind works. The Jews are on their way out, as well as anyone else who ultimately does not want to pray to Mecca. They are a fool if they think the Islamists will stop with Jews. We are all their target, they simply prioritize.

Which make one wonder with whom exactly was Abbas showing solidarity with by showing up. The Muslim murderers one has to presume. It sure as hell isn't the victims. He, the PLO and HAMAS would run every Jew into the sea given half a chance.

All of this is dog and pony though. It won't change a thing until France comes to terms with its "Muslim Problem". Look for that to happen right after they issue CCWs to ethnic French citizens, (which is NEVER).

"Does anyone remember how easily France fell before the Nazis"

Americans have a lot of balls calling Frenchman “surrender monkeys” considering that nearly twice as many French soldiers were killed in in the 1940 Battle of France over six weeks as the United States lost in Vietnam over the course of a decade.

In 1939 and 1940 France was let alone (apart from only 8 British divisions, which succeeded to quickly re-embark at Dunkirk thanks to the sacrifice of the soldiers of the 1st French Army of the North).

France was let alone facing a nazi-fanaticized country with a population of 80 million (vs. 40 million in France), a particularly well prepared war-industry, and an air superiority of 5 vs. 1.

At the same time the “US ally” refused to sell planes on credit to France!

Contrary to what has often been said, and is a result of the Nazi propaganda of that time, and the neo-cons hatred in 2003, the German advance (Blitzkrieg) encountered serious resistance from the French troops. In the six week Battle of France, from May 10 to June 22, 1940, the French lost, in military personnel alone, 260,000 wounded and 108,000 killed. A total of 368,000 casualties in six weeks is not something to pass off lightly.

This is 5 times more than the losses of the American army in three months of battles in Normandy in 1944 (21000), and nearly the same amount than the US deaths in 7 months of WW1 (116700)!

It is the air superiority (over 1,000 Stuka bombers knocked out the troops defending Sedan) and the intelligent use of the German panzers that broke the defences and made ineluctable the defeat.

Since WW2, air superiority is generally the winning key of all battles …

The 1940 campaign was the most intense of all the battles that will take place later on the Western Front:

the Germans suffered heavy losses in just 6 weeks - approximately 60,000 killed 111 000 injured and above 1250 planes were destroyed which will be greatly missed by the Luftwaffe during the battle of Britain. Struggling one against five, the French fighter planes weakened the Luftvaffe (defeating two German planes for one loss).

Yes, the Germans gave the French a terrible beating. But it took the combined strength of the United States, Great Britain, Soviet Russia, Canada, etc., to beat the Germans.

It’s asking rather a great deal of France to match such strength against hers – with an air inferiority of 1 vs. 5. The US never faced more than 15% of the Wehrmacht – 80% were in the East -  when France had to face alone 100% of Hitler's war machine in 1940 – plus 22 Italian divisions in the south.

In fact, the Germans would have walked straight over the British or American armies if any of these places would have been directly adjacent to France. Remember that in 1944, at the battle of the Bulge (Ardennes) the Americans were only saved by their planes. Strangely, it is at the same place that the Germans initially broke the French line.

"how they capitulated and ultimately embraced them?"

As apparently History is not your favorite subject I’ll give you a more complete view:

* Vichy was recognised by the US Government until end of 1942!

* Apart from the puppet government based in Vichy, there was a free government based in London under the authority of General De Gaulle.

* In all occupied countries by the Nazis, some citizens, driven by nationalism, ethnic hatred, anti-communism, anti-Semitism, or opportunism knowingly engaged in collaboration. But the LVF (Legion Volontaire Francaise), the French volunteer army that the Germans tried to organize, was a gigantic flop: Only a division was supplied to the German army, whereas the Netherlands (with a 4 times less important population) supplied 2 divisions.

* In all occupied countries by the Nazis, the Jews have been quite completely exterminated during WW2. In occupied France, “only” (if we may say) 25% of the Jews have been deported. Most of the Jews succeeded to survive thanks to the active and passive resistance of a large part of the population. This explains why France is now, by far, the country in Europe with the largest Jewish community (more than 600 000).

* During the Italian campaign of 1943, 130,000 Free French soldiers fought on the Allied side (under General Juin)

* By the time of the Normandy invasion, Free French forces numbered approximately half a million regulars and more than 100,000 French Forces of the Interior (FFI).

The FFI in Normandy and the Île-de-France region surrounding Paris began to harass German forces intensively, cutting roads and railways, setting ambushes and fighting conventional battles alongside their allies. This caused the death, arrest, or deportation of 90,000 resistance fighters  -  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Resistance

General Eisenhower estimated the value of the Résistance to have been equal to ten to fifteen divisions at the time of the landings  -  http://voices.yahoo.com/the-french-resistance-world-war-ii-400073.html

* The Free French 2nd Armored Division, under General Philippe Leclerc, landed in Normandy, and, in the waning days of summer 1944, led the drive toward Paris, and later Strasbourg.

* 3500 French pilots served in the RAF  -  http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Air_Force

and others in Russia in Normandie-Niemen Squadron  -  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normandie-Niemen

* 6 Free French divisions (230 000 men) did contribute hugely to the Provence landing - under command of General De Lattre de Tassigny (Operation Dragoon). They held their ground in Alsace during the battle of the Bulge, disobeying Eisenhower’s orders to retreat.

* In 1945 the Allied Forces on the west front consisted in:  US: 45 divisions  -  UK: 12 divisions  -  France: 9 divisions  -  Poland: 1 division.  In total, not a lot compared with the Soviet forces on the east side, the main winners of WWII.

Dicks, prinks, cunts, bollocks, assholes, etc.; all refer to parts of the human body that 'people of civil society' genreally keep covered and unmentioned in public despite everyone having at least two of some varient.

The point of using the terminology is not to denigrate a particular sex but to denigrate a particular person as unfit for public acknowlegment and consideration.

I'll reprise bastards, bitches, whores and cocksuckers for good measure.

IMHO, all such terminology is perfectly suitable for adult discourse.  Such language is merely shorthand for more elaborate and accurate disparagement.

Censorship takes many unfortunate forms.  I defy censorship no matter the argument for the implementation of it.

Calling out the sociopaths and criminals and ideologues should not be a complicated exorcise in linguistics merely to satisfy self-appointed communication gatekeepers.

"You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." sometimes is just not simple enough a way to describe repulsive, evil, criminal assholes, pricks, and cunts.

Sometimes it is also much simpler to throw the sucker punch and grab whatever blunt or sharp object is at hand.

Fight Club.  -Accept it or get the fuck out.

Never, ever, tried to censor anyone. Ever. Free speech includes the right to object and disagree.

My logic is that I like my private parts, my pussy, my "cunt" if you like. It is grand. My argument with him was about attempting to insult someone by invoking something he may well enjoy a great deal (I assume he is straight). Or you guys will say, "Lick my balls" or "Suck my dick." This is too precious for me to offer up so casually to someone who is my enemy.

Meanwhile I like your logic for the use of it on occasion.

And truly, reading the logics that those pompous asses had for who to invite and who not to invite and being mad at someone coming to the party but not including someone else. That cleared me up on what a "cunt" can be.

I've met a lot of people like that...some here on ZH. Cultures have attitudes. When people have a history of being discriminated against that pain is carried up through the generations, rightly or wrongly, and many times helps perpetuate the discrimination exactly due to the attitudes you describe. White Christians have probably had the longest run of indiscriminate existence, but I think that is now changing due to progressive politics which seeks to compensate or make up for past injustices, using the same discrimination they so claim to hate. I choose to refrain from it as much as possible without completely blinding myself to real threats. There is just too much hate for Jews for it to be completely rational.....or unjustified. Complex.

Israel to the Rescue of the Kosher Grocery Store in Paris Vincennes

According to reports, French police have launched raids “on two separate sieges”  at a kosher grocery in a Jewish neighbourhood in Paris and at Dammartin en Goële, a small town 30 km. northeast of Paris “where the Charlie Hebdo suspects have reportedly been killed” (Daily Telegraph, January 9, 2015).

Unconfirmed reports suggest that there were up to 10 hostages inside the kosher grocery.

Hours before the Jewish Sabbath, the street is usually especially crowded with shoppers – French Jews and tourists alike.

The Vincennes region of eastern Paris in which the second, grocery hostage situation is taking place has a large Jewish population. (Daily Telegraph, January 9, 2015)

Because the Jewish community is allegedly threatened, Israel was to come to the rescue of the kosher grocery store. This was confirmed in an official statement by the Israeli government.

In this regard, Prime minister Netanyahu confirmed on January 9, the dispatch of  an Israeli Police SWAT team unit which would be working in liaison with its French counterparts.  The Israeli  SWAT unit “specialising in siege situations and rescues is on standby ready to travel to Paris to assist the French authorities resolve the siege of the kosher grocery store.” according to Haaretz (emphasis added).

It should be noted that the entire French police apparatus is mobilized.  What would be the role of the Israeli police forces? Political propaganda? Bear in mind: president Francois Hollande is scheduled to make a major political statement in the wake of the police operation

Now what about the suided Police Chief writing the report?

These 17 Journalists Were Killed by Israel In Gaza

During the recent War on Gaza, a disproportionate number of civilians – many of them children – were killed in attacks by the Israeli Defense Forces. But there is another casualty of war which has received surprisingly little international attention. Since the bombing raids began, 17 journalists have been killed in Gaza, prompting calls for war crimes charges to be brought against the State of Israel and those involved in carrying out this war.

He had always wanted to have sex with more than one person at a time. He told the genie "I wish I had multiple pricks so I could fuck many at a time." "As you wish" the Genie said. I have a silly question. If he wanted to keep a domestic rally for National unity, why invite all those other rogues to attend.

And naturally, to this "show" (and the political attendee part of it evidently was a big show) of National unity, he did not invite Jean Marie Le Pen.

first is the question if he invited even one of them. I happen to know that some of them immediately started to claim their space without even knowing what he would do on Sunday

second, Jean Marie is a bit frail, and Marine Le Pen would have been the candidate... to snub anyway. future candidates don't have any place in official protocol. but she immediately set up her own rally in a different city

I stand amazed at the naked hate I see in Holland and in commentators to this article.

Holland has devastated his nation's economy, incited hatred of the Jews, and has presided over the worse terrorist attacks in France's history. Holland needs to cover up his total incompetence and evil by attacking Israel.

The terrorists have been telling us what they are going to do for years, and they have carried through on all their threats to date... yet we refuse to believe them. How stupid is that? The fault is not that some Jews exist, it is in the hate filled fascistic theology of the terrorists. Well, you can huff and puff like that, or you can try to understand why that came to be.

Because pretending it's irrational or has no basis would just be you saying there is no rationality or basis to it.

Which would be an admission that you were never interested in how it came to be anyway. It's not possible to read the internet or to watch a TV, almost anywhere in the world, and not come away with quite a few clues as to what's going on. So either you have been living under a rock, or you are grandstanding, and not trying to understand how this came to be, at all.

So figure out what you like most, grandstanding speeches of bullshit outrage, or else, you can learn where your culture went wrong, and set about addressing that directly.

Because if people like you don't make some changes very soon, it's going to get right out of hand.

So good luck.

This kind of ugly disdain and nasty jokes come from the firm refusal of the French to join America in Irak, in 2003. Since France refused to go to Iraq, American warmongers and neo-cons made French army look like cowards – as a punishment. Surrender jokes are the left overs of the 2003 Bush hate fest against the French.

But History has proved the French were right, and that the WMD were only a dirty trick to serve as a pretext.

Nevertheless, the hate of American warmongers against France remains still there, well alive, even in ZH.

This stale hate still shows through "innocent good jokes" about the “surrender monkeys” and their white flag … As for the rest, the French can be proud of their Military History which remains despite these stupid jokes the best military record in Europe.

In fact the French - surrounded by the Germans, English, Dutch, Italians and Spaniards (among others) - succeeded to win and guard the largest country in the very heart of Europe.

According to the British historian Niall Ferguson they did it by fighting 168 major wars even against such badasses as the Roman Empire, the British Army and the Turkish forces. They've won 109, lost 49 and drawn 10 times.

in his own words, nutandyahoo is the leader of the jewish people of the world. he is the symbol of the people with the worst record of freedom of speech and the press. these are the people who have made the search for facts a crime, an utterance of distaste for personal character a crime, questioning the official truth a crime. they are a dispicable people.

nutandyahoo is the leader of radical judaism. neozionism is the real threat to the world.

they have orchestrated the islamophobia many here have bought into hook line and sinker, like stupid fish and a juicy worm. you are their fools, the dumb people, the bottom half of the class.

Hollande didn't leave because of Netanyahu.

Hollande left because it was his 3 hour lunch time.

Let's see how long this solidarity and press "freedom" lasts if you start to satire or publish cartoons about jewish issues or anything that can be called "anti-semitic".  Not long I would surmise!

The very same Charly Hebdo fired a cartoonist a few years back for saying that Sarkozy's son would convert to Judaism to further his career.  Yes, there are limits to free speech.

Love the Netanyahu speech photo: Sieg heil!

The fact that these whirled leeders were able to march and nobody got hurt is strong evidence of a false flag in the Hebdo affair.  Why would the virgin-dreaming bombardiers forgo a superb opportunity like that one?

That or maybe the Kosher Grocery was thumb-pressing the checkout counter produce scales and Charlie mispelled somebody's name, and these freedom fighters finally decided they'd had enough.

They didn't march. The photo was faked and the *entire* media played along with it.
