ISIS hacker hacks Twitter accounts of US local TV station, Albuquerque Journal Posted on January 8, 2015January 8, 2015 by WaqassA hacker supporting the ISIS or ISIL terrorist group has hacked the official Twitter account and website of WBOC-TV, a Salisbury-based television station. The same hacker managed to hack Albuquerque Journal’s Twitter page with posts and photos supporting ISIS fighters and threatening Albuquerque citizens.
The hacker goes with the Twitter handle of @cybercaliphate took over WBOC-TV’s Twitter handle @wboc and @ABQJournal defacing them with images supporting the ISIS group. Hacker also posted Tweets in support of the terrorist group and against the American citizens.

Hacker also posted pictures and Tweets claiming to have access some highly confidential documents from the Federal Bureau Investigations (FBI) which he got through the station’s Twitter account.
The hacker also managed to hack the station’s website wboc.com defacing one of its top stories with “CyberCaliphate” title.

Here are three screenshots taken at the tome when Albuquerque Journal’s Twitter account was compromised by the hacker.
The below screenshot shows ISIS hacker defaced the ABQ Journal’s Twitter account with profile and banner image of his own.
In this screenshot the hacker is threatening the citizens of Albuquerque:
The Albuquerque Journal’s Twitter page has been restored and back under the Journal’s social media team, but the WBOC’s Twitter account is still under the ISIS hacker and the social media team at station is still unable to login in to their own account.

It is unclear how the hacker managed to hack both Twitter handles. However, the senior vice president of programs for the Center for Internet Security Laura Iwan told USA Today “There are various ways an attack like Tuesday’s could happen. If you get an email from someone you supposedly know there’s a link in the email and you click on that link, it may all be bogus. Unbeknownst to you, it installs malware on your machine.”
About WBOC-TV, channel 16:WBOC-TV, channel 16, is a CBS affiliate based in Salisbury, Maryland, USA. WBOC-TV is owned by the Draper Holdings Business Trust. The station primarily serves the four easternmost counties of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, as well as Sussex County, Delaware. However, its signal covers the entire Eastern Shores of Maryland and Virginia, as well as the southern two-thirds of Delaware, a region known as the Delmarva Peninsula, according to Wiki.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Twitter account hacked by ISIS hacker Posted on January 12, 2015January 12, 2015 by WaqasA twitter handle claiming its affiliation with ISIS/ISIL group has hacked the official Twitter account of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) about an hour ago.
The hacker has started posting Islamic prayers and ‘Pentagon hacked’ tweets after taking over the CENTCOM twitter handle. The handle currently has 110k followers. Remember this is the same hacker who previously hacked US local TV station and Albuquerque Journal twitter accounts.
Currently there are number of tweets posted by the hacker through U.S. Central Command‘s @CENTCOM Twitter account with attachments which hacker claims are the secret documents he got through the hacked twitter account:

Hacker claims ISIS is already in U.S. military bases and PCs.
A threatening message with an attached document which according to hacker is a highly confidential document he acquired from the hacked CENTCOM account.

This tweet has a Pastebin link which further leads do several download links. Hacker claims the leaked documents belong to inside U.S. Army files and war scenario.
The area of responsibility of United States Central Command includes countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, most notably Afghanistan and Iraq. USCENTCOM (also called CENTCOM) has been the main American presence in many military operations, including the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan (2001–present), and the Iraq War. Forces from CENTCOM currently are deployed primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan in combat roles and have bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, and central Asia in support roles.
CENTCOM forces have also been deployed in Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in the past, and although there is a small presence remaining in each of those countries, no substantial U.S. forces are based there as of 2009, according to WikiPedia.
While writing this article we noticed Twitter has acknowledged the hack and suspended the hacked CENTCOM’s account.
