Turkish President's Stunning Outburst: The French Are Behind The Charlie Hebdo Massacre; Mossad Blamed

Tyler Durden's picture

It was less than 48 hours ago when Turkey’s prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, joined millions marching in Paris to pay tribute to the 17 people killed by ISIS-supporting extremists. Then, almost the moment he got back, things changed, and as the FT politely paraphrases what transpired, the "country’s president struck a much more confrontational tone." That's one way of putting it. Another is that the former PM and current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of NATO-member Turkey did the unthinkable: accused the west, and French citizens in particular, of staging the Charlie Hebdo murder in order to blame Muslims, even as the mayor of Ankara said "Mossad is definitely behind such incidents . . . it is boosting enmity towards Islam."

"The duplicity of the west is obvious,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference on Monday evening. “As Muslims we have never sided with terror or massacres: racism, hate speech, Islamophobia are behind these massacres.”

His punchline: "The culprits are clear: French citizens undertook this massacre and Muslims were blamed for it,” he added.

The FT is confused: "Although political leaders in Turkey have repeatedly condemned the attacks on the Charlie Hebdo magazine, a Jewish supermarket and a policewoman, a parallel narrative has emerged in the country, with conspiracy theorists blaming the murders on foreign intelligence agencies rather than radical Islamists."

It's not just the French who were said to be behind the attack: so is Mossad:

Melih Gokcek, mayor of Ankara for the ruling AK party, said on Monday that “Mossad [the Israeli intelligence service] is definitely behind such incidents . . . it is boosting enmity towards Islam.” Mr Gokcek linked the attacks to French moves towards recognising Palestine.

Ali Sahin, a member of Turkey’s parliament and foreign affairs spokesman for the AK party, last week set out eight reasons why he suspected the killings were staged so that “the attack will be blamed on Muslims and Islam”.

But back to Erdogan:

In his own remarks on Monday, Mr Erdogan added: “Games are being played throughout the Islamic world”. He expressed bewilderment that French intelligence services had not followed the culprits more effectively.

The FT is further confused that Turkey is not the only place which has dared to offer conspiratorial theories: Russia is too.

In Russia, some pro-Kremlin commentators sought to link the killings to geopolitical machinations by the US.

Komsomolskaya Pravda, one of Russia’s leading tabloids, ran the headline: “Did the Americans stage the terror attack in Paris?” and posted a series of interviews on its website that presented various reasons why Washington might have organised the attack.

In one interview, Alexander Zhilin, head of the pro-Kremlin Moscow Centre for the Study of Applied Problems, claimed the terror attack was US retribution against President François Hollande for a January 6 radio interview in which Mr Hollande urged the EU to lift sanctions against Russia.  Washington used the attacks as “a quick fix for consolidating” US and EU geopolitical interests in Ukraine, Mr Zhilin claimed.

The FT is most stunned that in Russia the events in Charlie Hebdo are being equated to the 9/11 tragedy:

For the last 10 years, so-called Islamist terrorism has been under the control of one of the world’s leading intelligence agencies,” Alexei Martynov, director of the International Institute for New States, a think-tank, told pro-Kremlin internet outlet LifeNews. “I am sure that some American supervisors are responsible for the terror attacks in Paris, or in any case the Islamists who carried them out.”

Whatever could have given the Russian this idea...

Your owned marched in the millions at the death of the former Chief Sephardic Rabbi - remember the guy who said, basing it on his knowledge of Judaism - that goyim were born only to serve Jews?  That guy?  Who called for the extermination of the native people.

Why is it Yahweh has twice promised land but was never able to give good and clear title?

1) Not very nice but here is a video of Boko Haram shooting 100s of dudes in the back of the head at close range with AK47s. You can't see with a lot of them but the ones you can see have *zero* exploding skulls and the bodies slump the same way as the cop in Paris.

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=575_1419006422

2) The whole point of all the neocon stirring in the middle east is to create jihadist violence as a reaction. They stir the pot, jihadists react, they step in with the solution. They don't need to organize the attacks themselves.

3) Regardless of what the actual truth is I'd say if you're in the US with currently low muslim immigration then I guess the best strategy is to go with the false flag option as the US political elite are mostly neocon and that strategy reduces the moar war agenda. However if you're in Europe and you know about what's been happening in the muslim ghettos in the cities, especially the rape jihad, then I'd suggest running with the narrative because the Euro political elite are all about using mass immigration to drive down wages and covering up things like the rape epidemic because it would spoil the narrative.

Paul Craig Roberts

The Charlie Hebdo affair has many of the characteristics of a false flag operation. The attack on the cartoonists’ office was a disciplined professional attack of the kind associated with highly trained special forces; yet the suspects who were later corralled and killed seemed bumbling and unprofessional. It is like two different sets of people.

Usually Muslim terrorists are prepared to die in the attack; yet the two professionals who hit Charlie Hebdo were determined to escape and succeeded, an amazing feat. Their identity was allegedly established by the claim that they conveniently left for the authorities their ID in the getaway car. Such a mistake is inconsistent with the professionalism of the attack and reminds me of the undamaged passport found miraculously among the ruins of the two WTC towers that served to establish the identity of the alleged 9/11 hijackers.

It is a plausible inference that the ID left behind in the getaway car was the ID of the two Kouachi brothers, convenient patsies, later killed by police, and from whom we will never hear anything, and not the ID of the professionals who attacked Charlie Hebdo. An important fact that supports this inference is the report that the third suspect in the attack, Hamyd Mourad, the alleged driver of the getaway car, when seeing his name circulating on social media as a suspect realized the danger he was in and quickly turned himself into the police for protection against being murdered by security forces as a terrorist.

Hamyd Mourad says he has an iron-clad alibi. If so, this makes him the despoiler of a false flag attack. Authorities will have to say that despite being wrong about Mourad, they were right about the Kouachi brothers. Alternatively, Mourad could be coerced or tortured into some sort of confession that supports the official story. https://www.intellihub.com/18-year-old-charlie-hebdo-suspect-surrenders-...

Amazing how many accuse the Jews every time the Slams kill, mame, mutilate, behead, bomb, rape and decapitate. ISlams seem to be totally directed by Jews according to all the false flaggers and cannot think or do anything on their own. PLease tell how Jews in Medina in 622 managed to trick the Slams into beading 900 of themselves (Jews). Muhammad

did it so why be surprised if any of his present day followers do the same?

It's what being a Sunni Muslim is all about. Sunna meas to follow the example of Mohammed.  Get a clue.  Sometimes bloodthirsty murder is just bloodthirsty murder and has nothing to do with alleged Jewish conspiricies.  Irrational behaviour, gullibility and poor impulse control is what happens after generations of inbreeding.  It's a wonder they don't all have six fingers and toes.

This all comes around the time that Azerbaijan (one of Turkey's closest friends these days) have been lambasting the west, while closing down majority of the western funded NGO's in their country.  It is no secret that the two leaders are in bed with each other, but this is too coincidential.

yeah, right :) Erdogan forgot to mention that he is in the game, too... Not long ago he was training, supporting and trading oil/weapons with ISIS ... killing Kurdish people and so forth... He speaks out this time, only because the blame is on Muslims for the French terror which bothers him and his grand plans for Ottoman Empire. Not to mention his treatment on opposition parties and the media :)

Erdogan had his forces right at the border with tanks sitting there watching ISIS destroy that Kurdish town.

Never fired a shot to help those innocent civilians.

The only conclusion I can draw is that Erdogan is in more fear of the Jihadists than the French now are.  ISIS will take him out when it is convienient for them.  Now he remains a useful tool.

Quite the astonishing number of comments and replies posted under this story. However, it is not surprising that the average quality of those, and the pattern of votes upon them, appear to have also dropped dramatically in quality, as their quantity increased. My first impression, after skimming through the comments and voting patterns above, is that there seems to be about one third of some new kind of crew ganging up to comment and reply upon the article above, who otherwise have usually never bothered to do so ??? Under most previous Zero Hedge articles, there was usually more intelligible comments, and a more coherent pattern of votes. However, this article has provoked what appears to have become propaganda war, once again demonstrating the degree to which the first casualty of war is truth.

Events like Paris are where a lot of different agendas coincide so everything starts getting messy. Given that, there ought to be at least four factions plus undecideds.

1. neocons have been trying to stir trouble in the middle east for years and this has included using false flag attacks (although I'd say most of them are catspaw attacks where they manipulate situations to get people to make the attacks themselves).

2. also obviously the political elite in Europe who are reluctant to go full neocon because of their large muslim minorities will use incidents like this as an excuse to extend the police state

so there are two good reasons why people would want to oppose the official narrative

and on the other side

3. neocons doing their usual thing

4. people who accept points 1 and 2 but know/believe there are major problems with muslim immigration to Europe at least partly due to a) too many over too short a time to integrate and b) the majority coming from the bottom of the economic pile in their original countries with limited scope to move out of the bottom of the pile in Europe leading to a lot of hostility.

The Truth is that people in Paris were killed by Muslim Jihadist nutjobs.  Those nutjobs received their inspiration for the various Muslim Imans and Mullahs.  The ISIS collection of these nutjobs has certainly demonstrated that they have no regard for lives of anyone, and have even little value for their own lives.

It is not propaganda to report on the events which have actually occured.  Or perhaps the goofballs posting here really believe that those cartoonists were involved in some deep plot to agree to fake death to collect on insurance.

So, the leading conspiracies are Mossad is behind it and the Americans did it.  Wow!  One might think Komsomolskaya Pravda and Recep Tayyip Erdogan both did their research reading posts on Zerohedge.  For all we know, they're the idiots that have been peddling these conspiracies on this website.

If neocons want lots of jihadist terror attacks they could

a) do them themselves

b) stir jihadists into doing it

and it should be fairly obvious which of those options is safer.

The only problem with that is most potential jihadists in Europe are dumb (because the political elite import the majority of immigrants from the bottom of the pile) so they mostly get caught trying to buy the stuff needed to make bombs.

The solution to the problem - from the neocon point of view - isn't to go back to plan a) and directly mount false flags themselves but a halfway solution where jihadists are helped from the shadows i.e. not exactly a false flag and not exactly not a false flag.

A bit of both.

This shit brained idea that Mossad/Israel is behind this massacre and lets throw in 9/11 while were at it, is reminicent of Hitler's successful campaign to scape goat the Jews as the bogey men that were behind the Reichstag burning.  It's all of a whole cloth.  Blame Jews, be they the super successful Rothchilds or the embattled State of Israel.  It is a mentality that assumes that we are children, can't see or understand right from wrong or how horribly aweful some Islamic groups are.  I say enough shitting on Israel already.  It is just crap and hides vile antisemitic hatred.  Well, maybe I'm wrong on that last point.  Maybe it is not hidden antisemitiism at all.  Just open and ugly.  Fuck em.
