Ukraine President Signs Mobilization Decree: 50,000 To Be Drafted

Tyler Durden's picture

And with a stroke of his pen, Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko signs a decree that mobilizes up to 50,000 "health men and women" aged 25 to 60 to the frontlines in Eastern Ukraine...

As UA Today reports, 50 000 servicemen will be drafted to the frontline in eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has issued a decree mobilising 50,000 servicemen to the frontline in eastern Ukraine.

Those eligible will receive notice papers calling them to service as soon as the Ukrainian parliament approves the measure.

The Ministry of Defense plans to draft healthy men and women, preferably with military experience. Tank operators, artillerymen, reconnaissance scouts and messengers aged 25 to 60 are in high demand.

Volodymyr Talalay, Major General: "We are not planning to draft untrained men for positions that require military efficiency. Military leaders are looking for those who have already been in the army or those who can serve within civilian professions."

Combat trainings for servicemen will take 10-15 days. Ministry of Defense officials say this timeframe is adequate to acquire combat skills and replace those soldiers who will be rotated out.

If it goes anything like the bloody coup and it's aftermath that George Soros and pals funded that has resulted in over 15,000 deaths, 800,000 refugees fleeing to Russia and the looting of it's national banks which no longer have the means to pay it's junta backed soliders because the Country's"material wealth" now resides in Manhattan, Germany, Brussels and the Netherlands  -I'd say Choco Jew and Yats will have their hands full and may have to pick up a helmet and AK-47 themselves to pitch in with the retention problems they've been having since last February!

I'd include "Mercs R' Us" like Academi, but many of them didn't make it home stateside after the first 4 months, and when you are responsible for overthrowing a democratically elected governement and replacing it with an illegitimate dictatorship the people that wind up killing you probably won't be too generous in alerting the Countries that sent them over to kill men women and children that they have the carefully preserved remains of their undeclared ready for "pickup"!...

The clown show in Kiev would be funny, if so many thousands of people were not being killed. The bitch Nuland, a neoconservative Zionist and her allies in Washington DC spent 5 billion of our tax dollars to foment ethnic hatred which gave form to the Eruo Maidan coup and the consequent fascist Junta who now rule as Washington DC's puppet government. The Junta pinned great hope on it's volunteer Nazi Battalions funded by Oligarchs. One in particular is an Israeli, not a Ukrainian, he returned to Ukraine after the Nulnad coup to take power again and use his stolen billions to fund the Nazi Guards Battalions.

The last three days the rebels have taken the Ukraine army and nazi battalions and beaten the  shit out of them in half a dozen major encounter battles. Two days ago a large Ukie Army attack on Donestsk was thrown back with more than 5 tanks burnt and 8 armoured infantry vehicles burnt. In Peski, a mass artillery attack against the Ukrainian Army's largest artillery concentration shelling Donetsk, resulted in 200+ Ukrainian casualties and dozens of destroyed guns and rocket launchers, while at the airport, the elite commandos of the Ukrainian Army were assaulted and either killed or thrown out of the airport. Other battles also took place. It was a bad day for Kiev's Junta, and many American arms were captured at the Airport, as America now supplies Ukraine's special forces.

I expect this to continue and grow worse, as Kiev's Junta keeps throwing cannon fodder at the rebels, who are very competent soldiers and are now well equipped by a friendly Russia.

Obama is where the buch stops, he authorized the Coup on Maidan and paid for it. He ordered his puppet in Kiev to invade the east, and we Americans pay all the costs of this war, it comes from the CIA and Pentagon BLACK BUDGETS. Washington will keep sending money and arms, and the puppet in Kiev will draft cannon fodder and send them to die. While the lunatic Lvov Nazis hold tourch light parades in honor of Hitler and his Ukrainian allies in World War II.

Nevertheless, the truth gets out, especially to the Europeans.   It is an open secret in Europe that the USSA overthrew the Ukie government.  Moreover, as the wars drags on, the Ukie's chances of winning keep diminishing.  Without air support, the troops are inevitably destroyed by the brutally effective novo rossiyan artillery.

That is an easy idea to get "Wahooo." You are indeed right in your thoughts, if we are talking about the Saudi funded Chechen resistance movement. But Chechnya itself is ruled by Muslim moderates loyal to Russia. Chechnya has been rebuilt from the war, and the Muslim leaders have swept the Saudi radicals back and killed thousands of them. As soon a Saudi radical appears in Chechnya, the government police and special forces pounce on them. The Chechen republic of today is a very moderate open society. The Leaders have won a stunning victory against the Saudi and Western backed radical Chechen Jihadists. It is those people you have in mind I think. The media would never tell you the story of modern Chechnya, and it's victory over radical jihad. It can be researched on the internet if you have time. But you are right, Jihadi Chechens are the worst of the worst, BUT, these radicals have been defeated totally, and Chechnya is rebuilt as an true part of the Russian Federation. Islam is repected by government, but not allowed to foment Jihad, if any try, they are killed, captured of driven out. Putin and Chechnya's leader are in a very tight alliance against all radical Islamists. Chechen soldiers are loyal to the Russian Fereration and act as a direct arm of the Russian armed forces. Your mistake in identity is easy to make, and it took me some time to reseach and undestand today's Chechnya, compared to civil war times in the 90's.

Latina Lover,

It was this weapon you speak of that the Russian Federation used against the American and Saudi backed radical Islamic Chechen Jihadists of the 1990's civil war. It was one reason the Jihadists were totally and utterly defeated on the battle field. A weapon of this type is deployed by the USA and NATO as well, but by mutual agreement, I believe the Russian Federation and NATO have talked about an under the table agreement to never deploy it, as once one side does the other will respond. No troops could survuve a battle field where these weapons were being deployed in battle. Russia also has a scaled up version, deployable by a large aircraft that equals a nuclear weapons effects. The USA has such a bomb too, but Russias is 1/3 the size of the US weapon, and twice as powerful. Russia is far ahead in the technology of this weapon, and the USA knows it. Big talk in Washington cools down at the prospect of NATO attacking a defensive Russia army. To awful to contemplate for NATO. 100,000's of KIA in a week would result, NATO's entire army would defect or surrender or run away. AND, as a veteran myself, I would not blame them one bit. Who wants to die for Zionism on a battle field in Europe, for the cause of making Zionist Ukrainian Oligarchs even richer, and building bigger palaces in West Bank Israel!

"All nationalists have the power of not seeing resemblances between similar sets of facts. A British Tory will defend self-determination in Europe and oppose it in India with no feeling of inconsistency. Actions are held to be good or bad, not on their own merits, but according to who does them, and there is almost no kind of outrage — torture, the use of hostages, forced labor, mass deportations, imprisonment without trial, forgery, assassination, the bombing of civilians — which does not change its moral color when it is committed by 'our' side . . . The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them.

Jack - I don't get the impression that Russia is providing that much in the way of weapons to NovoRussia-DPR-militia.    They joke that most of the equipment they get is when the Ukrainian Army abandons it.  Alot of tanks are abandoned and I bet they either break down or run out of fuel.

I think a lot of the conscripts just quit and leave their stuff.    It is a shame that the soldiers of the north and south USA did not do that back in 1861.

Fri, 01/16/2015 - 09:47 | 5669752 WhyWait
WhyWait's picture

By 1863 the poor whites conscripted into the sesessionist army were doing just that. By 1864 Jefferson Davis was complaining that the number of missing soldiers was larger than the number in the ranks. The final blow to the rebellion was the North sending batallions of black soldiers into battle - terrifying to the rebels because they were utterly "fanatical", meaning they understood with a deep personal urgency that they were fighting for their freedom and what that meant, and would rather die than lose.

The movie "Glory" captures a piece of this story quite well.

Fri, 01/16/2015 - 09:40 | 5669688 WhyWait

The outcome of the battle will likely be ultimately determined by whose troops would rather die than loose.  In Vietnam the US probably killed 1 million "enemy combattants", mostly ordinary people motivated by patriotism and hatred of colonialism, at first mostly volunteers, who picked up a gun and went into a most unequal battle with a vastly technically superior foe ready to die, while the US troops complained bitterly about how useless their well-equipped Vietnamise "allies" were; good for burning villages and torturing prisoners but not much else. We know the outcome.

That said, we can expect this round to produce some nerve-wracking moments, and the outcome is not guaranteed. The biggest question geopolitically is whether the Russians can be forced to enter directly to rescue the Donbass Republics, and that is unknown also. The Ukraine Army of last July was equipped with 70's and 80's technology.  The US has been re-equipping them, and the Empire is heavily invested in technological solutions to political problems.  We can expect the next attack to include heavy use of DU ordinance, battlefield drones and robots, pain rays, chemical weapons and heavily armored death squads dropped behind patriot lines.  All overseen by US "advisors".

Also, we can expect biological weapons and anything else that would sow terror in the civilian population. An Ebola outbreak in Donetsk for example shouldn't surprise us - the world has been well prepped to be terrified of this horrifying and "mysterious" but actually well-understood and weaponized virus. (Thanks Tyler for keeping us up to date on it!)

A meltdown of the nuclear power reactors south of Dnepopetrovsk when the wind is from the southwest is an obvious move. Added benefit: forcing the evacuation of Rostov-on-Don, population 1 million, and doing nothing to contain it would present Russia with a huge provocation. (Again, thanks Tyler!)

NaZis and their CIA-bot heirs have a bad rep for a reason.  We can expect them to live up to it.

Who is the mystery man not seen sitting side by side with Poroshenko and Yats in their quest to confront the Russian Federation and ignite a European war? It’s Benjamin Netanyahu who has played a key role in the western bankers assault on an elected government in Ukraine and after a coup consistently arming, lying and killing their way to push a banker puppet state all the way to the Russian border.

Israel, in fact, it has been revealed has a secret plan for a reverse migration of Jewish settlers to Ukraine to establish a second Jewish homeland in the Ukraine and Crimea; the settlers from communities beyond the settlement block.

The Jews (Poroshenko and Yats) have a colleague in Netanyahu who has made it clear that the historic connection of the Khazars - a warlike Turkic people who converted to Judaism and ruled over a vast domain in what later became southern Russia and Ukraine gives the Jews an inherited right to Ukraine.  The intended result is the transfer of willing Jewish settlers to Ukraine.

it is obvious that Netanyahu has the influence with the western assault on Russia when you see the total impact that the Zionists have in marshalling the U.S. Congress and the Obama Administration to use CIA, IMF and NATO mechanisms to push this undeclared war against Russia.

This comes, according to The Times of Israel in March, “after a blue-ribbon team of scholars from leading research institutions and museums has just issued a secret report to the government, acknowledging that European Jews are in fact Khazars.”

Speaking off the record, an aide to Netanyahu explained, “The Ukrainian invitation for the Jews to return was a godsend. Relocating all the settlers within Israel in a short time would be difficult for reasons of logistics and economics. We certainly don’t want another fashlan like the expulsion of the settlers in the Gaza Hitnatkut [disengagement].

Reports the Times, a well-placed source in intelligence circles said: “We’re not talking about all the Ashkenazi Jews going back to Ukraine. Obviously that is not practical. The press as usual exaggerates and sensationalizes; this is why we need military censorship.”

Khazaria 2.0?

In its March article, the Times notes that “all Jews who wish to return would be welcomed back without condition as citizens, the more so if they take part in the promised infusion of massive Israeli military assistance, including troops, equipment, and construction of new bases. If the initial transfer works, other West Bank settlers would be encouraged to relocate to Ukraine, as well. After Ukraine, bolstered by this support, reestablishes control over all its territory, the current Autonomous Republic of Crimea would once again become an autonomous Jewish domain. The small-scale successor to the medieval empire of Khazaria (as the peninsula, too, was once known) would be called, in Yiddish, Chazerai.”

“As you know,” the spokesman continued, “the Prime Minister has said time and again: we are a proud and ancient people whose history here goes back 4,000 years. The same is true of the Khazars: just back in Europe and not quite as long. …

“As the Prime Minister has said, no one will tell Jews where they may or may not live on the historic territory of their existence as a sovereign people. He is willing to make painful sacrifices for peace, even if that means giving up part of our biblical homeland in Judea and Samaria. But then you have to expect us to exercise our historical rights somewhere else. We decided this will be on the shores of the Black Sea, where we were an autochthonous people for more than 2000 years. Even the great non-Zionist historian Simon Dubnow said we had the right to colonize Crimea. It’s in all the history books. You can look it up.”

Update March 17:

Latest reports, including Vladimir Putin’s recognition of Crimea as a “sovereign and independent state,” and the estimate that relocation of Israeli settlers in any peace agreement would cost $10 billion, confirm the details of the above story. Ed.

I have read this storyline elsewhere, though not from the Times of Israel.

I don't believe it will be considered seriously by anybody in Israel. You can bet that the "brown shirts" in Lviv won't let it happen either.

The children of Russians who immigrated to Israel are the most likely pool from which the "Khazerian Pioneers" would be taken. But their family roots extend to many parts of Russia and other former SSRs. It would take a lot of false propaganda, persuasions and money in order to get more than a handfull to go for it. But those who take the chance will be slotted into the best opportunities for commercial and political success.

If ever the settlers lose control over Israeli occupied territory, they are going to go back to America from where about half of them came in the first place. Most of the other half of settlers come from Russia. I bet most of them will try to get to America as well.

This tragic!! 15 days to get enlisted, assigned, equipped, organized, and "refreshed" (We can't call it "training")?? Then off to the front!

Somebody stop them! The Israelis, the NeoCons, the Mercenaries -anybody- just stop them from doing this.

I would expect 10% casualties during the first engagement and another 20% within the first week of frontline duty.

Swedish FM ‘not welcome’ for official Israel visit

Israel said Thursday that Sweden’s foreign minister was not welcome for an official visit in the country, AFP reported. Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom last week postponed a trip to Israel indefinitely, with media reports saying that her Israeli counterpart, Avigdor Lieberman, did not want to meet her. Relations between the two states deteriorated after Sweden’s new government in October decided to recognize the state of Palestine.

The venality of Western leaders interference in Ukraine does not transform the Kremlin into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

If the new Russian imperialists are allowed to expand their territory by means of Stalin's violent exterminations in Ukraine and Georgia, where does it stop? Ukraine? Estonia? Latvia? Lithuania? They all have considerable Russian populations. Estonia has already made accusations of Russian incursions and FSB interference in internal affairs. The Russians have even gone so far as to issue passports to individuals of Russian decent in the Baltic states.

Recent events in Western Europe are creating a cultural backlash against those who would make their countries into something they are not. The nations of Eastern Europe are just as entitled to maintain their cultural and territorial integrity.

How are Russian claims to territories of sovereign independent states just because Russians live there any different than German claims to the Sudetenland or the Polish corridor? Look at the chaos tolerating Islamic "no go" zones has gotten France. Should we allow Dearborn Michigan to declare its independence simply because they might vote for it?

Putin's claims of no Russian troops involved in Ukraine are no more credible that Hitler's claims that his territorial ambitions ended with Austria, the Sudetenland or Danzig.

Funny that you should mention Willy Wonka's chocolate factory since Poroshenko ran a chocolate factory which got him the nickname the Chocoligarch. He should identify with Willy Wonka and be afraid that outsiders want to steal his 'chocolate' namely being fertile agricultural land and gas reserves. Cause that is what is going on in Ukraine. It is a garage sale in Ukraine right now. They already took the gold.

Correct...and the good people of Donbass are pulling it off.

Correct again...but fairies do help...by sending you weapons (Donbass)...or bombing your adversaries (Kosovo)...or protecting your ballot boxes from a hostile government (Crimea).

Aren't at least some of their leaders (prominent ones, preferably) yelling against nationalism and populism, especially if it's outside of EU or in the opposition?

On the other hand: What's nationalism anyways? Having a border at a desgnated place or the feel of beeing bound to some folk or region and the will to defend that (somehow like patriotism)? What I do see is that several countries within the EU are losing their soul, they're looking and feeling more and more equal/indifferent and I don't think it's going into the good direction.

Hi Ghordius.

Go ask that question in former Yugoslavia. They apparently were not allowed to stay together and 'maintain their cultural and territorial integrity'. First SFRY got dismembered and then Serbia (then still FRY) lost Kosovo. So if any of these minorities had the right to secede, why don't have the Russians in Ukraine? Funny also that everybody in YU was allowed to leave -although that was against international law- except for the Serbs in Croatia and the Serbs in Bosnia (and please don't use the 'human intervention argument' or 'ethnic cleasing' argument because who got ethnically cleansed from ancenstrial lands in the end were the Serbs).

That is the problem: the application of double standards.

RE Dearborn

I would guess that is what the definition of self determination is if someone chooses to leave they can unless you think that you posess the power to keep someon against their will. This thought process surely defines "American freedom" the power to be kept in a system that is destructive to you against your will.

How about American troops or American mercenaries in the Ukraine is bathhouse Barry going to admit to that? Let me guess

Little understood by mainstream economists, businessmen, politicians or media organizations is that social mood causes social action, not the other way around. I try to talk about this fact as often as possible because it is contrary to the way most of society believes things occur. For instance, people don’t get fearful and angry because war breaks out, war breaks out because people are already fearful and angry. That is no small distinction.
