Hi Banzai7. You have two more fans. It was my daughter's tenth birthday yesterday so we had a little party for her. As you know, I really don't like people coming around and I try not to hang out with Americans even though I am one. So it came to be that I was sitting at my kitchen table with my Russian wife and a Bulgarian guy and his Japanese wife. I was rather impressed and had a great time even though I didn't understand every word that was said. We got somewhat drunk save my teetotalling wife who only had about six glasses of wine. I had to break out the coin collection and my currency collection. "Oh yeah, you are the one who gave our daughter a silver coin.";-) Yep, that was me.
I ended up giving the Japanese gal a WWII era 5 yen note. She had never seen one before. In typical Japanese custom she did not want to take the note but I insisted that it is the right thing to do for the note. It is your history. I have already enjoyed the note and now it needs to continue it's journey. I was it's keeper for over a decade. Put things in the place where they belong I explained. She accepted this explanation and understood that is not all about greed. For me, it is about putting things where they belong.
But what really had their interest was the collaboration between you and Bluma Berlin that hangs on my wall. Both of them were simply amazed and they couldn't stop looking at it. I told them it was the only one in the world that I know of. The Bulgarian guy was especially fascinated and three times he was over looking at the print. Everyone that I let in the place goes right over to that print and starts looking at it and starts asking questions no matter what country they are from. I can only tell them that it is the work of two great artists. I told them where they could buy some prints so I did my part for you.
It was fun but there is one part that I would have been remiss if I was going to show them as much as I did. That would be the guns. I am pretty hesistant on that. Well, It happened. The Bulgarian exclamed, "Wow!". Well, yeah and they are all real. He stated, "I didn't join the military so I have never held an AK-47 and never thought I would." Well, you will now.;-) I made sure the bolt was clear and handed it over. That just blew his mind. He wants to go learn to shoot now. OK, we can do that. It really is the one thing about America that still is good. We have guns and a lot of them. What you use them for is the question. It is not about going and killing people and never has been for me at least. I want it to stay that way. But a milk jusg filled with water in the sandpit is quite different. That milk jug needs to die. The other thing is that it makes "THEM" nervous as hell.
The Bulgarian guy shook my hand at least five times and the Japanese gal gave me a big hug as they left. To add: The Russian wife actually told me that she thought it was the best birthday party she has held. I also talked that nut job Angus McHugePenis in Canada. So in review, we had Guns, Gold, Silver, some fiat history, Liquor, Banzai7 art and friendship. I talked to a Russian, a Japanese, a Canadian, a Bulgarian and these Korean kids who seemed to have moved in. That is a good day when you can do that. No one managed to get into a fight. Nothing was broken.
Peace
Addendum: There is one group of people that I can not seem make a connection with. It is the Muslims and there are plenty of them where I live. What is so wrong? Can we talk about it? How is it that I can get along with so many different people from around the world but not a single Muslim? And the people from around the world I know don't seem to get along with Muslims either. It is not just me. What is the major malfunction here? I'll admit that we have all done bad things as cultures and nations. But I didn't personally do anything against anyone. I fought against the wars through political action with Ron Paul. We got aced out bigtime. I have a button sitting right here that says "Republicans Against The War." We were handing those buttons out at the 2008 State Convention for MN and outside of the floor. They called the cops in on us and that became a fiasco. It is not like we didn't try. We protested the bankster bailouts as well and central banking. We were not popular. We were trying to do the right thing.
Awesome story Mani, it's always good to see the spirit of humanity - shared experience, can conquer many supposed differences. There is nothing quite like shared experience to reveal the rubbish programming in people's heads, the things that exist purely as concepts, though they seem real enough. Government, nationalism, political views - on and on. I was brought up living all over the world, being a guest in many countries, which is why you'll see my comments on these pages waving the flag of humanism and independence again and again. I've been around, I've met so many, and my takeaway was always that we are all just folk, pretty straightforward and largely good natured.
The fly in the ointment here is that we often don't realise this, so then it becomes much easier for the divide-and-conquer class to operate. We'd probably do much better if we had the confidence to say 'they're just folk'. Because it's true. Our circumstances might be different, but are we all that different to a dirt poor guy in Kabul trying to teach his sons the difference between right and wrong? Absolutely not! But the power brokers and profiteers would rather you not think about this.
I guess this goes some way to answering your closing question. The walls being built up between ourselves and Muslims are the current big project for the power brokers. How would you feel on the other side of the fence, constantly under suspicion, feeling the hostility day to day? We are taught to think Islam is violent, and that it has nothing to offer - but if it wasn't for the ban on depiction of icons, the Muslims never would have started creating the intricate geometric designs they are famed for. This in turn gave rise to a deep understanding of mathematics, the very language of the universe. The math symbols we use every day in division, multiplication etc - are all Arabic.
And the pain of your inability to connect with Muslims is obvious in your words - a sense of regret. A regret you feel because you know, as I do, that they are just folk. This is why I despise unfounded hatred and racism - because people are just people, and these racist ideas are usually inherited from somewhere else and are not the product of rational thought. When we hate each other, we destroy any chance for peace, or at the very least, tolerance and understanding. We remove the ability to get together, work co-operatively and have a laugh.
Until we can be more accepting of our fellow man, we will never acheive all of the wonderful things that we are so capable of - world peace, scientific breakthroughs, space travel, spiritual understanding, exploration and ultimately saving our homeworld before she is damaged beyond repair.
How many life forms on this planet have to continue to suffer because of our stupidity? It is not OUR world alone, to do with as we please. We are custodians in a position of moral responsibility, and we are failing because of our own self absorption and childishness. We are closer now than ever to sacrificing all of the profound thoughts, exquisite art, towering acheivements, selfless love, incredible courage and great triumphs of human spirit that have ever existed for want of MOAR, for a handful of malcontents and those blind enough to follow them, for a pile of unwanted ipods oozing toxic filth into the environment.
There will be no one to remember us, all that our entire species has accomplished in the last 200,000 years or so will be forgotten, save for smoking ruins and a few tin cans floating through space with our words and pictures engraved on them.
And it really does look like we are about to sit back and let that happen.
(Reuters) - Barack Obama enters the final two years of his presidency with a blemish on his legacy that looks impossible to erase: the decline of the middle class he has promised to rescue.
The revival of middle-class jobs has been one of Obama's mantras since he took office in 2009 fighting the worst economic crisis in generations. It was a major theme of his last State of the Union address and is expected to feature in the one scheduled for Tuesday...
Every time I see Lurch I think of Damien Thorn and the extraordinary, untimely, unnatural death of Henry Heinz. I don't know if he was a good man. I sincerely hope there is a just mechanism at work in the universe, beyond our short lives.
Lurch makes me ashamed to be a natural-born MALE citizen.
FUCK!
Fucking Heinz-sucking wannabe tribal member wants to use his high office to 'express his gentler and feminine side'...
The pussies in the United States let themselves get owned by the CONUS, and elected people who are PUSSIES that appoint fucking PUSSIES to represent them!
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel were good musicians (because they were gay lovers, I suppose). All the GIRLS liked them! Something about being'non-threatening' and shit like that...
LURCH always wanted a French man, didn't he? A little 'French's Mustard' for his 'Heinz Ketchup' on the ol' 'hot dogs'? 'I'm John Kerry, reporting for DOODY (duty)!'?
Thereza Heinz obviously doesn't have a penis. Lurch should have chosen Michelle (Micheal).
How the fuck OLD is Paul Simon? 70? 80?
Kerry wants to masturbate and come on his bald palate, as the crowd goes WILD...
Who's the silly woman on stage (who is obviously sexually aroused as well)? She needs to LEARN that boys like this will NEVER want her (like that). WELL... She's jabbing the mike at Paul like a penis she WISHES she had for him, so I guess she's learning...
It sounds like the old stories of the Monks who went to their caves and came up with 'really deep thoughts' (by Jack Handy). It's like a 'time-warp' kind of thing that might be experienced by the people who enjoy taking 'Four-Way-Window-Pane' while smoking Peyote as they experience the 'really deep'.
The FIRST ex-wife was one of those who liked to take Bic lighters and watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show (she used to brag that she had seen it at least 30 times).
We had 5 children together, but she never COULD get over the influences, though.
There's a poster by the name of 'The Ninth Doctor'. He might enjoy this (and you might, as well).
Starring John Kerry, as 'Cornholio'; and a cast of 400 stand-ins who play the parts as 'world leaders' on some side-street in the romantic city of PARIS!
SPECIAL GUEST STAR: Paul Simon!
Yes, this old 'music star' from the heyday of Haight-Asbury reprises his role by singing some old song that men liked to play on their record players in order to get women to spread their legs!
Experience the incredible tension, the buildup, the heightened senses rushing through your soul, as you witness our stars giving you everything they've GOT!
Our Dear Leader Of the Free World (whirled peas be upon him; adorning his head) Barack Hussein, has declared this art expression 'French false Flag' (soon to be in theaters in worldwide distribution via MSM outlets) as 'My Vision of the World as it Should be'! (right before finishing the 'Front 9' in front of an adoring crowd of almost 90 people).
(Don't forget to buy the latest issue of 'Charlie Hebdo'; some obscure and bankrupt magazine that likes to publish images given to them by the CIA that were drawn by the 5-year-old children of various 'station chiefs'. Out of every dollar, at least 5 cents is donated to goodwill organizations that fund the salvation of the planet! Tell them that 'Gorgeous George' Soros sent you; and get a discount on your loans from Bank Of America {LLC}. The thing at FERGUSEN has all but been forgotten, but this shit in PARIS is really TAKING OFF, so take advantage of this limited offer!)
If I were a Frog, I'd be saying "We gave them money for weapons in the revolutionary war, we gave them the Statue of Liberty, and we gave them rich buttery sauces. And all we got is this out-of-tune has-been folk hippie. That's just le fucking great."

It was a big improvisation, just like everything else
"secretary of state" is where political wantabees go to
have there credibility and reputations destroyed in
the "united states of america". why? it has to do with
ambition and foreign policy, fiting squares into circles,
oil and water, etc .... murderous criminals have always
had a problem sustaining credibility and power, this
ambition is not sustainable. decent parents teach this
to little children they care for, the elite do not.
