Yemen's US-Backed Government & President Resign

Tyler Durden's picture

In the short space of an hour - following weeks of battles and a recent standoff in Sana'a with Houthi rebels - all the well-laid plans of the US manipulators has gone astray:

  • *YEMEN GOVERNMENT RESIGNS, PRIME MINISTER PRESENTS RESIGNATION TO PRESIDENT AMID REBEL STANDOFF
  • *YEMEN PRESIDENT HADI HAS RESIGNED, AIDE SAYS

This comes after signing a short-term peace deal following an admission that they had lost control. And with oil-prices plunging once again, which means social instability
in the middle east is about to explode making the Arab spring of 2011
seem like child's play by comparison, things around the globe are about
to take a dramatic turn for the worse.

As Xinhua reports,

Yemeni Prime Minister Khaled Bahah presented resignation to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi on Thursday night, government spokesman Rajeh Badi told Xinhua, one day after the government and Shiite Houthi group signed a peace deal to end a three-day political crisis.

"The prime minister and his government will not withdraw their decision under any circumstance," Badi said, expressing the apology on behalf of Bahah to the Yemeni people.

Bahah, born in 1965 in Yemen's southeastern province of Hadramout, was named as the premier on Oct. 13, 2014. He served as oil minister from March to June in 2014. He was replaced due to protests triggered by shortage of fuel and electricity, and was later named as envoy to the UN.

The government signed on Wednesday a peace deal with the Houthi group which seized the presidential palace during clashes with presidential guards since Monday.

*  *  *

As Bloomberg adds - shortly after...

President Abdurabuh Mansur Hadi resigned after seizure of his palace by Shiite Houthi rebels this week, aide Sultan al-Attwani says by phone

*  *  *

And with oil-prices plunging once again, which means social instability
in the middle east is about to explode
making the Arab spring of 2011
seem like child's play by comparison, things around the globe are about
to take a dramatic turn for the worse.

Remember, now a days the USA is the number one nation in rewarding failure. All the State Department, Military and CIA agents involved in this Yemen cluster fuck will keep their jobs and civil service pensions, and go to manage other US puppets, like the Junta in Kiev. Failure in the USA is the road to reward. Just as traders who made all the wrong market bets and were made fabulously wealthy by the Federal Reserve. If you fail inside the 1%, government will make you whole or promote you.

Jack:

Spealing of Kiev, this just posted on a thread following today's Ukraine editorial in the WashPost:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So Russia invaded Ukraine? You lying propaganda hacks.

1) Show us the pictures of the Russian armor in Ukraine.

2) Show us pictures of the destroyed Russian tank column the Nazi regime in Kiev said they shelled.

3) Show us pictures of Russian troops in the Donbass region.

4) Show us pictures of captured Russian troops.

5) Call on Google to repost the photos that they scrubbed of the downed MH-17, complete with its 30mm cannon holes, and graze marks on the left wing demonstrating it was a Ukraine SU-25 that murdered the passengers. (If it weren't so, the report proving a missile fired by the anti-Nazi Freedom Fighters in the Donbass downed the plane would have long ago been released and trumpeted on the front page of every Western newspaper. Instead, it's buried.)

That's a nice start. Of course you can't do that, because your narrative of a Russian invasion is a lie. That makes you liars.

If you want to get started on the truth, indict Victoria Nuland in the International Court of Justice for Crimes Against Humanity - bring Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama along as accessories. Her infamous "F*** the EU" concerning the $5-million she and the other neo-cans pumped into the armed coup against the legitimately elected government of the Ukraine has resulted in the deaths of over 10,000 men, women, and children - and other Crimes Against Humanity such as the incineration of innocent people in the Odessa civic building fire.

Before Victoria, there was peace.

These people have profaned the sacrifice made by tens of thousands of American troops to wipe the Nazis from the face of the Earth in WWII. Now the US, through its out-of-control administration is actually backing and maintaining Nazis in power in Kiev.

Could any WWII veteran ever imagine the US being a backer of a Nazi government? How far you, Washington Post, have gone down the Black Hole of psychotic sociopathic mentality by doing exactly that - you have no shame, no guilt, and no conscience.

Jack Burton's picture

Happily, the damning photos of the damage to MH-17 have been downloaded and copied en mass. So the useless thought police at google can't put this down the memory hole.

The two pictures combined, the 30MM cannon shell graze marks along the wing point directily to the pilot side cockpit where three carefully aimed cannon bursts werre fired, one of which grazed the wing and impacted above and behind the pilot seat, one other burst hit in front of the pilot seat, and then the third long massive burst hit square on the pilot's seat, teating a round hole with semi circles of 30MM width around the edges. The pilot was buried recently with no information about his condition, though closed casket was needed, as he was blown in half. Rumor from Germany is he had many shell fragments indication a cannon fire butchered him.

All the silence from western media is because they have no case at all. The Ukrainian SU-25 first hit an engine with a missile, failed to bring the plane down, and then cannon fired the cockpit.

The western silence about flight MH-17 is proof they lied about it. If they had proof rebels did it, they would have taken it to the UN security council, which they did not do.

Every penny of financial aid/funding, all military equipment and munitions, all military and logistical support equipment, all logistical and strategic information and communications protocols associated with the former, all  support that the Obama administration has sent into Yemen of every kind: is now in the hands of the purported enemy.

This is a deplorable and utter failure of the Obama administration's stated goals.

A touted American Ally has been effectively abandoned in extremis.

This is a complete diplomatic and military failure that may well be viewed by history on par with the fall of Saigon.

Let me get this straight:

Iran (Shia) = Bad

Iraq (the Shia part) = Good

Iraq (the Sunni/ISIS part) = Bad

Saudi Arabia (Sunni majority/birthplace of Whabbism, but enemies with ISIS?) = Good

Syria (secular Shia ruling party) = Bad

Yemen (Sunni majority, coup by Shia minority that that surrounded the capital of Sana'a) = Now bad

I'm sure there are a few more examples I missed but it appears that we are purposely playing both sides of the Shia/Sunni divide?  Is the end game complete destablization?  The House of Saud seems to be the pivot point in all this....

You give too much credit to thinking there is any purpose to any of this. This is all just reaction after reaction after reaction to whatever oligarch is pulling some string at some time. Follow the money. It's all about self-interest in either maintaining or expanding some oligarch sphere of influence in some region. The result is the pot is boiling over and over and over, because some oligarch keeps turning up the heat. And all the dumb fuck USSA is doing is desperately failing in trying to keep the lid on. Eventually it's going to blow sky high and scald everyone in the house, and not just the cooks.
