They have a golden opportunity to rid themselves of debt, throw out the banksters, and establish a sound financial system with its own currency. They are going to throw the chance away with socialist freebies. And to give away the freebies, they will need to borrow money at high interest rates - from Goldman and DB and JPM!

LOL, leftists establishing a sound financial system....geez.  The voters want the good old days back, that's all.

Are there other possibilities than only socialist spending?

- The Siren Call of foreign bankers and the constant pressure from bankers that national government debt was unsecured, and spending was excessive... while bankers always appear to later corrupt the rules, and lend more to them at higher rates or with a long term plan to raise rates in subsequent years.

------------------------------------------------------
- Bankers = THE Problem, = related to Mafia Schemes -
------------------------------------------------------

Think Greece would be in hock without mafia banking schemes??

Natural Interest Rates & Pricing would prevail without the EU and without Euro, Greece would print Drachma for itself until limits were reached...

Instead Greece has no CB, can't print money so to speak, has no control or independence. Sovereignty was lost to the Siren call of bankers....

------------------------------------------------------
- Bankers = THE Problem, = related to Mafia Schemes -
------------------------------------------------------

I think David Stockman would agree with me.

---------------------------------------------------------
- Banking Corruption = US System of Influence, Hegemony-
---------------------------------------------------------

Politicians are always corruptible since they are men. Men are human, this is part of Banking theory & Mafia theory. Yes, it is like Blackmail or Coercion. Politicians & Men must win to grow in power & Success, then need money as this thread is pointing out. Each new Administration needs money, any money to direct into programs and changes.

Why do US Citizens not know this??

Greece needs money, it needs debt reduction, it needs a Drachma & CB or Treasury to print Drachma. The Economy needs Credit & Capital to be invested in Expansion within and for the Greek Industry. There are many tools if you have a CB. Buy Greek.

It is somewhat fitting as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Soviet liberation of Auschwitz, that the Greeks have been liberated from German austerity, only to be replaced by Socialists!

He needs to immediately sign on to the Anti-Bolshevik Federation and the gold-backed ruble. Send the dual-citizen zionist bankers packing.

Greece gets military backing and a future.

Russia gets nice beaches and bitchez to fill them.

And Europe gets an alternative future as well.

By the end of the week, Syriza will announce that they have reconsidered Greece's role in the EU and have determined that it is in the public's interest that it stay in and take the money.

Make a note.  You heard it here first.

He may do that -- provided Greece actually gets some money.

So far most of the "bailout" money has been to pay interest on and refinance prior loans from German banks, the ECB, etc.  It has been about helping the financial class mainly outside Greece.

Once way or another, Greece has to get off that no-win merrygoround, or Syriza will be toast at the next election and Tspiras knows that.

The problem for Germany and the EU/ECB is that if they forgive most of Greece's loans, in one form or another, how do they say No to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Ireland (whose taxpayers were compelled to bailout banks to repay German banks that had made bad loans), and ultimately France.

If Greece gets a financial benefit from voting in Syriza, then Podemos is a certainty in Spain.  So the current Spanish government will be exhorting Germany and the EU/ECB not to give any money to Greece unless proportionate (and much larger) amounts also come to Spain now.  Who is going to pay that bill?

Tsipras should hand over to the Israelies the job of collecting damages for WWII in return for a commission of say 15%.

If there is one thing the Jewish people know it's how to extract their pound of flesh with interest.

Despite criticising existing EU policies, Tsipras is not a traditional eurosceptic, and he says he wants to keep Greece in the euro whilst tearing up the bailout agreement and ending the policies of austerity which he argues have decimated society.

Sounds like magic to me.

Aah the heady world of finance! The German's to the best of my knowledge ( and i speak with 15+ years of doing business there ) have never given ANYONE a FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Lunch.

That said Goldman and Trustees ( The Banks and EU ) have helped themselves to DECADES of FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE breakfasts , Lunches and Dinners.

This result means ' tighten your belts ' you motherfucking parasitic vultures.

Some have asked if this Euro situation can adversly affect the US.  Some have stated they don't care.

If, because of this and other financial actions, the Euro eventually crashes, the dollar index goes ballistic and our largest export partner (Europe) cannot afford to buy the products we are still able to produce.

The final result is the crash of the US economy to such a degree that even Yellen cannot save it nor will Obama and his compliant media be able to hide its condition.  We need a stable Euro so let's pray it survives and even thrives.  To hell with Greece.  They are serving as an example of runaway liberalism.

Lock up the gold reserves before the Blackwater guys fly it out (Ukraine).

Why does a minor country like Greece need F-16's and submarines? Sorta expensive...

Okay.Minimum industry,large welfare commitment,high unemployment,high debt service costs,still paying for

expensive and unnecessary Defense systems and equipment, history of political instability, aristocratic ties with

European royalty and dynasties (Prince Phillip,Queen Consort,UK).High level of tax avoidance among citizenry.

WHY OH WHY,Did they ever loan this much cash to these guys....

The ECB has already excluded Greece from its new QE thing.  The question is not "Will Greece leave the EU?" It's "Will the ECB and the EuroUnion kick them out?" Seems like the writing is already on the wall, and the new guy Tsipras doesn't have to lift a finger.

Basically, they've sold their souls to the "Troika and Elites".  If they were truly free they would just default instead of negotiating/cooperating on debt.

Just giving the appearance of taking control to placate the masses.

I wonder and I have no information to point to but do I remember there being reports that the Greek debt was backed by major retirement funds from around europe?

If this is the case then maybe the "powers that be" just won a major victory and it is "us" that fell for the old bannana in the tailpipe trick again?

If the EU and the IMF (list goes on) knew that Greece couldn't and wouldn't get their shit together like the rest of the world knew....then maybe this is their play?

Was this "new" political party allowed to win the election?

Things just are not that simple, the people are not allowed to win!
