Days after the death of Saudi King Abdullah, Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has created an essay contest to commemorate the monarch — a move blasted by critics of the Saudi ruler's abysmal human rights record.

"Write for Rights"...
Amnesty International! Brought to you buy the funded overlords at the Trilateral Commission like George Soros' non-governmental organization(s) and USAID that brought this uglier than ugly cookie maven from the third layer of Hell!
Well done again their Banzai!!!
US is hypocritical in so many ways it's hard to know where to start. Chinese criminals welcome to launder their money on US real estate to keep the ponzi going. Saudi's are best friends even with their perpetual war on women. Russians are evil except when they want to buy real estate, then they are welcome. Russia has no business in Ukraine but US does? And that's just off the top of my head
I'm submitting a short essay here for the general.
Why the King is so great: He had a trendy beard and he wore the best bedsheets. He helped his people by allowing his buddies to shove lots of stuff up their asses. He kept women off the roads and introduced 3 year olds to safe sex. He made sure his people didn't starve and gave them some bread. He only shat through golden toilets. He and GW loved each other and liked kissing in public. He looked like a really nice guy to me. Thank you general for all the wars.
Sounds about right.
Good one WB.
Pens,
Might as well bring in your new rule with a bang (or a whack).

An essay contest? Seriously? Is it open to the public? Cause I got lots to say, and would LOVE to send him my own little 'essay'...
Hey King Salman!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
Its silly to expect integrity from these people, committing to hypocrisy is their modus operandi.
William, I agree and disagree.
The top is full of hyocrisy, but if you see a lot of the comments in Yahoo articles and even on ZH, you will see how many of the citizens are in it to their ears.
The Nation is on the wrong path.
There are good people living there, unfortunately, the steam roller of lies is muting them.
I said it in the interview with Max Keiser. I am embarassed by what we have become as a nation.
That does not mean I don't love the people of my country. But our actions as a nation are appalling.
Until we somehow correct this appalling situation, it will get more and more difficult and uncomfortable for each and every one of us to avoid shouldering our own share of the blame.
... There are good people living there
Yes, they are. No, they are NOT a majority !
There are good people living there, unfortunately, the steam roller of lies is muting them.
That can be said of all nations.
The hypocrisy of a nation where stupidity has become the laxitive of choice.

I love that Economist cover - a lot of shit there, but what does it all mean. Is that the queen driving a range rover near bottom right of it?
Also the arrows - what will occur on March 11 and May 11? time will tell I suppose.
I thought this was going to be a post about Japan...or China...or Russia...or Uk...or US...
Imagine my disappointment.
Dear General Dempsey, just what is it that they have on you? It must be big or they would have fired your ass months ago.
He's so dumb his hair hurts.
And I get downvoted mercielessly for suggesting that the best use of the next trillion dollars is an apollo program for a mobile energy source to replace gasoline so the world can stop sending their trillions to these misogynistic lunatic wahhabist assholes and let their fucking kingdon sink back into the sands from whence it sprung. Whatever. These guys are evil motherfrackers and scum and deserve whatever Hel awaits them.
the late King was also a supporter of Save the Whales, as easy cause in a desert nation.
The general wants to find those who will be trusted to obey. Obedience and fawning are virtues for a slave or a fool.

$1.35 Trillion / 30 Million Enrolled People = 45,000 Dollars per person for Obama Care?? WTF
"The $1.35 trillion net cost will result in 'between 24 million and 27 million' fewer Americans being uninsured – a $50,000 price tag per person at best"

The Google tag line this AM was "Remember Auschwitz"; but I was still asleep and half in the bag from last night; and I thought; "oh, shit, they're warning us ". Sometimes paranoia is a good thing. I damn certainly have real enemies.
Remember the Kibbutz, because that is where our Chines, English, and European Masters want to put us.
Look no further than President Kafka,
"Obama defended the U.S. relationship with a Saudi kingdom that has long been accused of human rights abuses and terrorism funding, calling the nation a key to 'a very complicated' groups of nations in the Middle East."
Give unto Alolph the things that are Adolph”s?
weapon found on the street by a citizen
I’m conflicted.
Was it moral to give it back to them?
I didn’t say legal, I said moral.
BTW, in the State of Illinois, if the citizen, resident, illegal alien, whatever, did not have a gun card, it would be illegal for him to even touch it.
