I hear you. I've seen so many people arguing about sports in general and also TV shows instead of discussing things that actually matter. I know a guy that said if they banned the NFL, people would rise up and he'd be one of them. I was thinking, "So slowly whittling your rights away to nothing doesn't bother you but it would if they banned a stupid game?" People's priorities are really messed up. It's disgusting. Don't even get me started on so-called "reality" TV. I hate that the most.
I threw my TV away 15 years ago and never looked back. I'm more informed now than ever. 24/7 Propaganda and advertizing will rot the mind......

Was just thinking today: I haven't had a television since 1984. Been over 30 years now. Since happening upon the National Review in 1988, then talk radio, and then (now) the internet in 1994? 5? (had to build my own TCP/IP stack) ... well, I just don't get it. Television is patently (and self-admittedly) lying propaganda. Why do people watch it? Not even interesting. Besides ... who has the time? There's not time enough in the day as it is. It's probably been three weeks since I last had time to play Left4Dead.
Makes you wonder how many people still have a non digital watch..
