Dollar Tumbles On Sudden Stop Hunt

Tyler Durden's picture

For the 2nd time this week, the most-crowded trade in the world is getting exorcised. Just as we saw on Tuesday, The US Dollar is getting monkey-hammered lower driven by heavy buying of EUR (and a stop-run at 1.1500). CAD is also well bid (back under 1.24 against the USD). JPY is the only major that is ignoring this USD dump and is lower on the day... supporting the fundamentals of equity confidence.

The Dollar is getting spanked...

Led by EURUSD... (heavy volume in futures as it ramped to 1.1500) which saw SNB buying earlier in the day to defend Swissy

The huge stop run ius evident in the massive surge in trade count (lower pane is not volume per se) as 1.1500 was pierced...

Let's see if this USD weakness will hold now the stops have been flushed...

It would appear The BoJ and SNB are locked in a fight to the death...

EUR peripherals trying to cover thier ass.  SNB maybe?  Probably them and more.  Fed won't protect this since a weaker dollar is a "good thing".....which in this environment it actually is. After the monkey-hammering is done, watch out for an explosion upwards.

THIS is news ZH should be highlighting:

Fed fires back at Rand Paul

http://thehill.com/policy/finance/231822-fed-fires-back

excerpt:

"The Federal Reserve is lashing out at Sen. Rand Paul’s plan to give Congress more oversight over the central bank, a proposal that could gain traction in the new Republican-led Congress.

The Kentucky Republican reintroduced his “Audit the Fed” legislation last month with 30 co-sponsors, including other potential 2016 GOP hopefuls, Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Marco Rubio (Fla.).

The proposal — once championed by his father, former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) —would subject the central bank to an audit by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

Regional bank presidents from around the country are decrying the plan, which they argue could damage the economy."

Translation:  The Fed wants complete control... and to hell with anoyone challenging their autonomy.

I wouldn't say they have complete control just yet.  If they did have complete control, they would not rely upon POTUS to appoint their Chairman.  They would self-declare who their leader is, and a hawk might never see the light of day again.

I wouldn't say they have complete control just yet.  If they did have complete control, they would not rely upon POTUS to appoint the 7 members of the Board of Governors (whom the Senate must confirm) or rely upon POTUS to nominate the Chairman and Vice-Chairman persons (whom the Senate must confirm).  They would self-declare who their leaders are, and a hawk might never see the light of day again.

And POTUS is just a figurehead rubber stamp too, we get 2 pre-approved 'choices' either of which is just fine for the banksters in charge (give me control of the currency and I care not who makes the laws) and we're given a 'choice' between GiantDouche and Turd Sandwich....big deal.

"The appointment is theater, the selection is predetermined."

I remember when Hitlery was the predetermined nominee of the Democratic Party in 2008, and Eric Cantor was predetermined to win re-election in 2014 and continue his rise to the top of the GOP as a member of Congress.

While I respect you, and your opinion, you are missing the main point, which is: It's all theater to keep the masses/sheeple thinking that they have a say, and matter, while they are really nothing more than farm animals for the elites.

There are power struggles between the two, or three, main wings of power, but on the level of the sheeple, it is nothing but theater.

The banksters need to repay us.

I appreciate the respect, but I am not missing the main point.  I understand what you believe.  For example, I believe the GOP and the Democratic Party will nominate establishment candidates next year who likely will have much more in common than not.  There won't be much of a choice for POTUS.  I also believe the Fed will do pretty much whatever it wants irrespective who is elected POTUS.  What I do not accept is that the people can not change things.  Nobody was realistically picking Obama to beat Hitlery when the nomination process started, and nobody was realistically picking Cantor to lose his seat when he announced his re-election bid.  The game is not over yet.  When people get angry enough, they will react... even if it doesn't seem like it right now.  For example, do you believe most citizens would simply give up their firearms if the POTUS declared personal ownership of firearms to be illegal?  No way in hell (imo).

Fed fires back at Rand Paul

The Hill, as some recall, has never been much more than a secon rate gate keeper. Everyonce in a while there are PRs OMG-ing content penned by The Hill that include some storyline about how this or that official living on the public dole and taking it up the ass for the large with hints some kind of ethereal action might be taken by the DOJ blah blah blah. When did Holder, or for that matter, Bubby Boy's, Alfredo E Neuman Gonzales, ever stick it to a fat cat who had their one eyed snake irrevocably shunted deep inside both those clown's kitty box outflow plumbing.

Who cares what anybody says about Rand Paul, any-whose? Rand ain't Ron. As long as he can keep the head rag rug refurbed for da TV lights, and get's the juice for other iBling, he ain't no different than any other K-Street Kiddie Brothel Patron under the C-SPAN Glitter Ball.

In most cases,  most all virtuous virgins acquire a taste for prestige (sense of self importance) and eye candy (moola moola) when entering a house of ill repute and eventually become whores. Only in the rarest of cases will exit the "house", with virtue and virginity intact. Ron Paul, is one. Florida's Grayson is another. There's a woman who may still represent an Ohio constituency (i gave up following this shit, and now exist totally in a handheld viewing device - video drome all over again!)

But Rand ain't no Ron (however I have argued with self that someday some might use the cloak of pretense conformity and polit-double-speak to get past the selectors and then, beyond a pre adolescents wildest wetdream and after taking the helm, there would be revealed (ta-da-daaaa) a human inside - i may be jacking off too much - again).

Biggest question for consideration (imo) today is the hack at Anthem: Collected some interesting facts.

Foreign security firms, who shall remane nameless, controll almost every aspect of US Cyber stuff - from the desktop - to de web's infrastructure (anyone else recall a PR a couple of orbits back confirming that the US would not, as previously agreed, pass the ICANN or internet backbone "keys" to the European Union).

THE US CAN SPOOF ANY IP ADDRESS. IT"S A SIMPLE THING TO DO BY ANYONE WITH MINIMAL SOCKET SKILLS!

A lot of shit has been scrubbed and / or avoided by consumer grade search engines, but, when the warcrime II again occurred in the Iraq, the was a report that the password to gain access to core national security systems was a fucking BLANK!

So I shopped Anthem's security services, which is really an analog for most US (if we can still call em that) business. Here's What I found

First, the Cyber Security Provider For Anthem is an outfit called Mandiant. Here's some bios on Mandiant's leadership team. Note All of them share tenures with great US flub security scams like Mcafee. Mandiant is a FIreEye company.

So if you clicked the previous links, you will see that software your using right now and web services you rely on all the the time - all of them - and including taxpayer funded national security infrastructure - USE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FROM THIS SAME NAMELESS SOVEREIGN.

Some quips from  this TechRepublic article :

The world's most important tech companies run (sovereign deleted) research centers, including Cisco, Microsoft, Google, Apple, IBM, Oracle, SAP, EMC, Motorola, HP, Facebook, and eBay. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer famously said that Microsoft was an (sovereign deleted) company almost as much as an American company since Microsoft has so many workers in (sovereign deleted) and the work they are doing is so important to the company's future.

In 2013 alone, IBM, Cisco, and GE have all made large acquisitions or investments in (sovereign deleted) cybersecurity companies. And, because of the new security and privacy issues being raised by the spread of cloud computing, that trend is very likely to accelerate.

Get it?  If ya kiss a rattle snake once and it bites your fucking face, commonsense would suggest not kissing a rattlesnake again. Ever.

Get it. If you desktop, your company's system get hacked over and over and over and your keep using cyber security services, operation systems, etc, whose engineering and RD departments are off shored to our nameless sovereign, why the fuck are you your company your government still kissing the same fucking rattlesnake?

Get it: the Cloud, "MobileMe", iCLoud, DropBox are all root authorized data havestors and "stealth" transmission engines.

Why is anyone still pushing the selection machine button? At least the monkey got some coke - what the fuck are you getting?

Now I  go back to the would of my 3 x 4 hand held where life is really simple.

At exactly 1PM, much like on Tuesday, with long bond yields being shot up immediately.

what happens at 1PM?   NY FED reverse repo, $100+ billion dollar in fresh treasury collateral being given to NY FED friends to short treasuries and post collateral they don't own.

crime:  market manipulation, aiding and abetting the manipulation of markets, high treason against our country (aiding and abetting bets against our own debt)

perpetrators:  NY FED, primary dealer(s)

victim:  any market player that is not an insider to this criminal activity and does not have access to free pristine collateral
