Does Kyle Bass Pay His Taxes In Nickels?
"Don't mess with Texas," may be a dire warning to most but perhaps after this "don't mess with Taxes" would be more appropriate. In what must have most free-thinking libertarians smirking, a man in Texas was arrested this week for “disrupting the operation and efficiency” of the local tax office - by trying to pay his taxes in $1 bills.
A man in Texas has been arrested while trying to pay his tax in $1 bills for “disrupting the operation and efficiency” of the local tax office.
Timothy Norris, 27, was trying to pay his $600 property tax at a tax office in Wichita Falls, Texas, last Wednesday when he was told to leave the office by Tax Assessor Collector Tommy Smyth. Smyth accused Norris of creating a disturbance and disrupting the efficiency of the authority as the latter wanted to pay the whole sum with $1 bills.
However, the banknotes were folded very tightly so it “required tax office personnel approximately six minutes to unfold each bill,” Smyth said, the Times Record News reported.
Unfolding the bills paralyzed work in the office, so Smyth asked Norris to leave. However, the latter refused. The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was present as the situation unfolded tried to arrest Norris but he pulled away and the deputy had to use force to detain him.
Norris was charged with criminal trespass and additionally charged with resisting arrest. Norris’ bail was announced as standing at $500 for both charges.

How long before it is mandated that IRS tax payments be made with specific notes, pressed in a certain way...?
Which leaves us with one question... does Kyle Bass pay his taxes with nickels?

That's what he gets for trying to give the government money.
Internal Revenue "Service", similar to "Protect and serve". All lies. What I would give to see an honest government sign "We're here to fuck you over".
Tightly folded $1 bills. That's almost as good as lead wrapped in brass.
Kyle would never pay in Nickles because he would be over paying. Now he might use use the yen he shorted last year.
Meanwhile, in the People's Republic of New Jersey (where people used to pay the 35 cent parkway tolls in pennies just to piss off the overpaid union collectors) there are peals of laughter over a $600 property tax bill.
6 minutes to unwrap even a tightly folded note?
methinks the tax office be exaggerating their greivance
You have to remember what caliber of person works there...
And don't forget, at least one hand of those jerks was all the time busy jerking...
"6 minutes to unwrap even a tightly folded note?"
What about a lifetime of unfair taxation?
To the people here that "own" property, what happenes if you don't pay your property tax, how long do you "own" your land after you stop paying the government lease?
It would take one month to fold my quartely tax bill of $6,170 plus in New Jersey they won't let you into the municipal buliding with such a large package . In one town they can't give homes away ...listing price $49,000 yearly taxes $9,444......http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/350-W-3rd-Ave_Roselle_N...

they truly do have a law against everything don't they...
Proof again that Big Brother and his law enforcement minions are everywhere, even in Texas.
They print the money.
They create its theoretical value.
The goal is our obedience.
To defy them is the offense. It has little to do with the money. If we behaved as though their currency had no value, we would devalue THEIR assets, THEIR hold over us, THEIR power.
Legal tender bitchez, ain't legal

I'm making over $7k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is what I do... www.globe-report.com
Interrupt with breaking news...Banker Death:
JP Morgan Chase banker 'strangled and stabbed wife to death then killed himself' - but left young son alivehttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2945131/New-Jersey-man-strangled...
The news report I heard, that the guy stabbed himself to death, sounded odd. Stabbing yourself to death is about as bizarre as using a nail gun to kill yourself. But if the New Jersey police are handling this murder investigation, you will get the best investigation money can buy.
I doubt without a razer that I could cut my own throat let alone stab myself to death. Lots of drugs, maybe. Add another to the list.
Castlereagh did it successfully.
Michael Tabacchi was the JP Morgan banker. I checked his linked in and he was responsible for investigating JPMs operations between JPM and the Federal Reserve. The wheels are coming off the bus folks.
The poor guillotines are denied again.
The banksters need to repay us.
A bankster died, guillotines cried, as were denied,
I'm trying to imagine how an FRN could be folded such that it took SIX MINUTES to unfold it.
State workers especially AFSME unionized employees do nothing quicky ... the bills were probably folded in 1/2.
This got an out-loud laugh - so loud it woke my wife. Touche, bro. Best post read in quite a while.
Made me laugh too, and have the realization that he is probably correct.
Then imagine trying to unfold them if your fingers were as fat as Red Bull cans.
Keep your nickels. They are worth more than 5 cents. You would cheat yourself. Give em fiat.
Sorry. They're not right now.

Yeah I have $1000 in them but what have I lost? Closet space? Good thing they're on a concrete slab or they'd break through the floor.
Thanks for the update. Deflation may end up making us readjust our thinking about a lot of things. Still like them better than paper for holding value.
I live on a 3rd floor apartment and wonder sometimes about the weight in my closet...
What happened to legal tender for "all debts public and private" ?
Apparently, "No Bent Bucks Allowed".
The 600 wads could be counted pretty quick in and of themselves. 6 units of 100, 10x10 each, done. Did not need to turn out like this. Hot headed cop with an authority complex is what this story is about. You diffuse a situation, not escaleate it. Now it is a news story.
Dumb asses.
"Hot headed cop with an authority complex"
Only tow types of cops, gun and badge thugs:
1) Hot headed cop with an authority complex.
2) Murderous, hot headed cop with an authority complex.
The banksters need to repay us.

Dup.
Sometimes the NSA's, and CIA's taps conflict, and cause hiccups in my Internet connection.
The banksters need to repay us.
I saw a Unicorn once. He had "savior" painted on his side, and a DC US flag coming out of his ass.
Don't dollar bills weigh exactly one gram each? ( Don't ask me why I know that. Little tid bit...). They could've weighed them, on let's say, an Ohaus Triple Beam and been done with it!
Dup
Dr. Most Gov. offices can't accept cash. (Something to do with the trustworthiness of their employees)?
All debts public and private, bitchez
Yup. While this is taxes and all bets are off, in general, if you offer to pay using legal tender and they say no, they don't have a lot of recourse when it comes to collecting later. Next time somebody gets a BS ticket, they ought to go in and pay with pennies. Loose in a box.
If you are going to try that- it is important to obtain EVIDENCE of their REFUSAL to accept legal tender...
In this case thoug, some judgement probably would have helped the retard in Texas.
A simple stack of 1 dollar bills would have sent the same message...
The Cops ARE the criminals.
Why I hide self survival weapons. Fuck this fraud country and it's disgusting enablers.
Is that a weapon that helps itself to survive? I'm confused.
Disgusting enablers = tax payer's
Even .gov knows the fed's fiat isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
No form of protest, no matter how subtle or peaceful will be allowed.
Our government is NOT afraid of us. Therein lies the problem.
Oh they fear me, and my kind, alright. Not my arsenal, though that they also fear. No, they fear the truth I bear, and the truth I spew. That is why they spy, propagandize, and aim to control.
The truth they fear: They are nothing but tapeworms with teeth. Flush the worms, restore country's health.
The banksters need to repay us.
Guillotines, the cure for the tapeworms of society.
Damn, what happens when hyperinflation hits and you have to bring it by the wheelbarrow load, the penitentary?
Vaseline....
rofl... money are so cheap and toxic that they don't need them...
He no longer owes any taxes. FRN's are legal tender for all debts public, and private. Since the IRS refused payment, the debt has been discharged.
In general yes, but, there may be specific rules about the presentment, but,
it would be more effective if someone presented a larger tax bill in singles wrapped
but heavily creased, so you canlt easily machine count them...
I don't have chapter and verse on this issue, but it is Federal case law. Milestones
It's Federal case law that States and Municipalities do not have to accept physical cash. But I have no idea what the law actually is in Texas, much less Wichita Falls, since the IRS wasn't the party refusing the cash it's different...
I will be trying this next...as everyone should. Let those assclowns have a life sentance unfolding dollar bills and maybe this country would have a chance.
The beatings will continue, until morale improves.
will he pay his pay bail in tightly rolled $1s ?
He should but he may not. Apparently if you ain't used to jail, you will do anything to get out. Heard this from someone pretty close to me who was arrested.
is the metals in the nickels still value more than 5 cents? as base metals are in crash mode. dr. copper is very sick. but guess you have the 5 cent floor. so if the metals value is less than ya he should pay his tax with the nickels. but how much of this was real investing vs stunt to progress his theories.
Not worth .05 now.

So what is the Kylester doing these days? Last I heard he was messed up in some financial situation with Chris Kyle's widow after the unpleasantness at the shooting range.
6 minutes to unfold a dollar bill? They have the right .gov job....
I could do it in three minutes each including ironing time. Slackers.
"efficiency of the authority"
Don't disrupt the efficiency of their thefts.
The banksters need to repay us.
When their time comes, they better not disrupt the efficiency of the guillotines.
A counterfeiter (no, not Mr. Yellen) accidentally made $18 bills instead of twenties. He figured his effort was a waste but he was desparate for money so he found a bank out in the country and went in. He placed a stack of eighteens on the counter and asked for change hoping he would get something he could spend back in the city. The teller inquired politely, "Alright, sir. Would you like the change in threes, sixes or nines?"
XAG is going lower, before it goes higher. We had a good "mini run" off the 200day avg.
The CME, and every other "ponzi" Financial Governing Body, has left metals alone, after the SNB normalizing.
I'll be buying some more physical metal.
No state shall enter into any treaty, alliance, or confederation; grant letters of marque and reprisal; coin money; emit bills of credit; make anything but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts; pass any bill of attainder, ex post facto law, or law impairing the obligation of contracts, or grant any title of nobility.
There is the problem.
It is legal tender. I'm not aware of folding paper being illegal.
If they can arrest someone for “disrupting the operation and efficiency” of the local tax office then probably at least 50% of the staff should be arrested. I bet that would make it more efficient.
Oh who cares? Didn't Junior have anything better to do than to fold up 600 $1 bills just to be a fucking nuisance?
Betcha the tax collector and any court of law would determine $600 in $1's tendered reasonably would have been just fine.
Dumb shit.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah.
Go ahead be a patriot. Strike for peace and return of just government. Fold up a few thousand $1's for Uncle Sam. Send them return thingamajig guaranteed to your Senator and ask him kindly to take them over to the IRS for you like a good people's representative.
Some anally retentive people out there.
Me included
See there, it's getting harder and harder, to use that paper...especially one dollar paper.
probably been shot on the spot using silver dollars
Clearly a "tax terrorist".
They will change their tune when Uncle Chuck finds out about this.
J-S-P
Just Stop Paying and let the system cannibalize itself to death.
Why them pay at all? Doesn't the DHS have enough bullets? Seems to me we are setting them up for the final version of a police state on our dime.
I say "show me the statute motherfucker".... then take a shit in the corner. .
Wow, trolling really is a art.
I would of wiped my ass with them first.
Maybe the local government could quid pro quo and request that he applies for a visit from the fire dept or police force in writing? This would invalidate his mortgage and insurance as property rights do not exist in the absence of the state. What a bell end, if he doesn't want to pay property taxes, he can live somewhere of low value. That's the beauty of property taxes, you pay for what you get.
Kinda makes you wanna don some nitrile gloves, address and stamp a clean peel-n-seal envelope to your favorite tax orifice, whip out a well-crinkled $ingle to minimize chances for a papercut, wipe the sphincteral area from bald eagle to annuit coeptis, seal and drop into a nearby mailbox.
Don't forget the return address - be creative but not to arouse USPS suspicion.
