US Senator Demands A Federal Reserve Bailout Of Greece

Tyler Durden's picture

It should hardly come as a surprise when a hard-core US socialist comes out with demands that his socialist peers in Greece be bailed out by none other than the Federal Reserve: in fact, it does show why while so many quasi-socialists hate when the Fed bails out the "loathsome" banks, they love when the Fed bails out everyone else. And yes, socialists are known to demand for bailouts - in fact the more often, and the more frequently, the better .

And yet, perhaps in asking for a Federal Reserve bailout of Greece, everyone's favorite Vermont socialist does make some sense: after all if the Fed is bailing out European banks, and just European banks, on an ad hoc basis, and usually quite well hidden (see for example: "How The Fed's Latest QE Is Just Another European Bailout"), does it really matter if the Fed spends what amounts to one daily POMO amount to save some 11 million Greeks?

In retrospect it may be the most "social" thing the Fed will have ever done.

Bernie falls head first down the slippery slope that is QE.  He can't stand to see socialism die the innevitable death it deserves.  This whole thing has become so perverse and crazy that what was once unimaginable is now spoken about freely out in the open as if it were legitimate.  We are trapped in a dangerous mass delusion that supposes labor and production can be magically created out of thin air with a few sprinkles of pixie dust.

When the fundamentals are ENFORCED FRAUDS, there are no "solutions" but MOAR ENFORCED FRAUDS.

The overwhelming vast majority of people are either not willing or able to perceive that money is measurement backed by murder ... That situation has developed through the applications of the methods of organized crime to build a social pyramid system based on backing up legalized lies with legalized violence, which has become globalized electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs.

Everyone who was relatively successful within those systems MUST NECESSARILY be some kind of professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, who maintained attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance towards the central social facts that privately controlled banks are making the public "money" supply out of nothing as debts, which makes NO SENSE, EXCEPT as the result of civilization being controlled by organized crime, which has no significant public opposition that is not controlled. OF COURSE, it makes an INSANE KIND OF SENSE for guys like Senator Sanders to recommend that MOAR "money" be made out of nothing as debts, to cope with places like Greece, et alia, already drowning in debts, and apparently going down for the third time.

Some of the comments above promote the typical superficial labels about what has gone wrong, which tend to not get remotely close to the core problems, because they tend to deliberately NOT follow the "money" to its SOURCE. Rather, the standard responses of the vast majority of people is to ONLY follow the "money" through some small slice of its journey, in ways which never go through the whole cycle of that kind of "money" creation and destruction.

It is quite awesome that a civilization has been built on being able to back up lies with violence, in which almost everyone has been brainwashed by bullshit about that! Reading Zero Hedge in these times is to watch the cognitive dissonance due to the FACTS THAT EVERYTHING IS BASED ON ENFORCED FRAUDS shake themselves silly. Everyday, there is another flabbergasting spiral of the runaway systems of ENFORCED FRAUDS, (which the vast majority of people appear unable to comprehend, because they do not want to!) Furthermore, of the few that do, most of those still continue to only superficially comprehend that money is NECESSARILY measurement backed by murder. The situation has ALWAYS been that the debt controls were backed by the death controls, and that was ALWAYS done through the combination of governments being the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangsters, the banksters, while the social successes based on being able to continue to ENFORCE THOSE FRAUDS enabled that situation to have been made and maintained by there being practically nothing against it but controlled opposition groups.

After we already got the point of developing Neolithic Civilizations at an exponential rate as systems of lies backed by violence, for thousands of years, which meant that the last few Centuries, then the last Century, then the last few decades, then the last decade, then the last few years, then the last year, were ALL on the same basic exponential growth of ENFORCED FRAUDS, we are witnesses to the times when that situation looks like it is reaching the point of PEAK INSANITIES, at the same time as Peak Everything Else ... (After all, that "money" made out of nothing was primarily used to "pay" for strip-mining the planet's natural resources, in the least sustainable ways possible, which systems are running into limits of diminishing returns, since the planet is finite.)

Given that the world's monetary systems are based on ENFORCED FRAUDS, and the Federal Reserve Board is the single greatest of the National Kings of Fraud operating inside of those globalized systems, the Federal Reserve Board HAS been creating enough money out of nothing to buy everything that could be sold in Greece, while other National Kings of Fraud, like the Japanese and Chinese, have also been creating enough "money" out of nothing to buy everything that could be sold in Greece over and over and over again, faster and faster and faster ...

By and large, nobody is able to fully comprehend what it means for a globalized civilization to operate on the basis of electronic frauds, backed by the force of atomic bombs. Since the vast majority of people deliberately ignore the basic facts that money is measurement backed by murder, but rather, have an elaborate system of absurd bullshit to talk about that, while maintaining attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance and willful blindness towards the most important central facts, we are watching the tragic trajectory of a criminally insane civilization spin out of control at an exponentially accelerating rate.

Senator Saunders is CRAZILY CORRECT, as the article above stated, "does it really matter if the Fed spends what amounts to one daily POMO amount to save some 11 million Greeks?" Consider that the entire system is based on ENFORCED FRAUDS, and so, the Federal Reserve has created enough new "money" out of nothing since 2008 to buy everything that could be sold in Canada, for instance, at least several times, and probably everything that could be sold in Greece perhaps dozens of times. However, to call Saunders a "socialist" is an absurd abuse of words, in ways which are all too typically done in Zero Hedge articles and comments. I expect that the vast majority of people will continue to deliberately ignore the facts that money is measurement backed by murder, and therefore, continue to deliberately NOT follow the money to its SOURCE. Instead, they will continue carve out some silly slice of the whole process, and then, abuse slogan labels like "socialism" to promote misunderstanding what has really been going on.

THERE IS ONLY ONE SYSTEM:

ORGANIZED CRIME, AND A

CONTROLLED OPPOSITION.

All of the rest of the language that is used to discuss political economy is bullshit promoted by the dominant organized crime gangs, as well as adopted by their controlled opposition groups. In my view, it is impossible to exaggerate the rush at an exponential rate towards Peak Insanities, due to the established systems being based on ENFORCED FRAUDS, while the controlled opposition tends to be just as silly about that as the established systems are.

The realm of political economy is practically nothing but bullshit fighting bullshit, which is becoming crazier and crazier, at an exponential rate, because the systems of ENFORCED FRAUDS automatically amplified their contradictions to astronomical sizes. That is the context in which the Federal Reserve Board COULD instantaneously create enough new "money" out of nothing to pay off all of the Greek debts. However, such an event would result in even more people scratching their heads about that, which might lead a few more of them to realize the degree to which the entire political economy is based on ENFORCED FRAUDS ... and even a few of those might puzzle their way through towards some glimmering of understanding that money is measurement backed by murder, which has become electronic and atomic, so that the ENFORCED FRAUDS are now orders of magnitude BIGGER than the entire physical economy.

While the physical facts have always continued to exist, the social facts have been able to be constructed on the ability to back up lies with violence, which systems grew at an exponential rate, to become more sophisticated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence. However, while that was happening, those doing that were always able to bullshit more and more about that, while they were also able to control the opposition to also bullshit about that more and more too!

Therefore, it is impossible to exaggerate the degree to which civilization has become runaway criminal insanities, which have become psychotically detached from the physical facts, and natural laws, such as the principle of the conservation of energy, while the social understanding of entropy was totally inverted and perverted, as the same time as almost every other word and concept also had its meaning inverted and perverted. In the case of this article, the history of our discussions of political economy has gradually resulted in the meaning of the word "money" being more and more totally inverted and perverted, while also the meaning of the word "socialism" was also inverted and perverted.

Of course, most people are emotionally attached to wanting to continue to believe in their favourite bullshit, and therefore, will deliberately continue to ignore more rational evidence and logical arguments regarding what the real situation is when there is almost nothing but ENFORCED FRAUDS, operating a monetary system whereby measurements are backed by murders. Following current events on Zero Hedge is to have a front row seat to view the psychotic breakdowns of civilization. There is enough information there to be able to follow the development of one flabbergasting new level of fraud after another, while that continues to be mostly interpreted in silly, superficial ways, since basic nature of ENFORCED FRAUDS having become runaway collective criminal insanities is NOT something that almost anyone who was relatively successful within those developments is willing or able to admit to themselves, nor discuss with others.

My own personal kind of insanity matches the definition famously misattributed to Albert Einstein:

“Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.”

I keep on attempting to do some kind of social psychiatry, in situation where the world is an insane asylum controlled by the most criminally insane inmates, which resulted in the only significant opposition also being similarly insane.  OF COURSE, in that situation, social psychiatry never works, but nevertheless, I am insane enough to keep on trying, because, after all, I am also stuck living inside of that globalized insane asylum controlled by ENFORCED FRAUDS.

I do not promote "socialism," nor any other "ism" other than militarism, because I regard the FACTS as that there is only one system, which is organized crime, whose degree of success enables it to control the opposition. I do not promote militarism as what should be, but rather, as what IS, since what exists are systems of organized lies and robberies, which are best described as militarism.

Militarism is the ideology of the murder system. Militarism is organized crime on a large scale. Human societies did not follow anything else than that those who were the best organized criminals prevailed. The biggest bullies invented all the bullshit about various "isms" ... while the War Kings morphed into the Fraud Kings. None of the bullshit about that had any other purpose than to enable professional liars and immaculate hypocrites to be able to bullshit better.

To whatever degree Saunders is supposed to be a "socialist" is him spouting some level of political nonsense. Usually there is some relatively good analysis of the problems, followed by bullshit solutions based on impossible ideals.

I do not get where you read into my material that I am some kind of "socialist," or that I support "socialism." The dictionary definition of that kind of stuff does NOT address the FACTS, which are that the real world is controlled by the principles and methods of organized crime.

As far as I can tell, the only way to actually have better government is to have better organized crime. I do not think that anyone should say that view is consistent with the dictionary definition of "socialism." However, such developments are practically impossible, because of the degree to which the vast majority of people have been brainwashed to believe in bullshit, such as the bullshit use of the word "socialism."

Since the real world always actually operates according to the principles and methods of organized crime, whether we like it or not, promoting impossible ideals, in the form of every old-fashioned religion and ideology that I am aware of, always backfires and makes the opposite happen in the real world, which was the point, since those were always controlled opposition groups, while the real world continues to run according to the realities of organized crime.

IF there was genuine political progress, that would take enough people understanding the basic facts enough. However, that would mean the majority of people would stop believing in bullshit, and stop promoting impossible ideals of every kind, no matter what those happen to be mislabeled as.

Actually, my view is that our society is terminally sick and insane, because it is so totally dominated by organized crime and controlled opposition, that there are no ways to better balance the runaway systems of triumphant organized crime, pumping up their bullshit to utterly psychotic levels, where the bullshit loses contact with physical facts, because people deliberately deny and ignore the ways that there is nothing but organized lies operating robberies.

I did NOT grow up in "socialism!" I have grown up in the EXISTING system, which has NO good labels, but which may be called a runaway fascist plutocracy juggernaut, a fake democracy which depends upon a fake education, so that the enough of the people can be fooled enough of the time. I am living inside of a system of organized crime, which is being pumped up by science and technology to become runaway criminal insanities.

Actually the way it should work in general,

from a steady state balance, all new units of growth have to me accompanied by new units of currency.

Free, usury free currency. If new currency is not created then new units of production cannot be consumed,

or are depleting stored labor, new units of growth then are decreased wealth unless the new currency was created.

then there is the question of getting the new units of currency to the right end user, which should and can

only be the source of the new units of production, labor and capital.

The monetary scam then is to prohibit new units of growth from getting to the creators which are labor

and capital, whereas capital is savings or stored labor, labor and capital are the same thing.

When the tv terrorists scammed the little piggies into hating capitalism, they scammed them into cannibalizing

themselves, cannibalizing labor, capital is just stored labor (savings).

When the new units

of currency can only be borrowed out at usury, by those with the top net worth credit lines, or friends of the oligarch.

That is the mass wealth transfer operation. Entropy has it that all units of creation eventually concentrate into one oligarch,

that would be the definition of satanism.

The fiat usury monetary system is satanism.

The correct answer then is not a bailout (loan) of greece but a gift of printed units of currency.

Starting there and continueing to all harvested creators of production, all harvested labor and all

harvested capital which is the definition of waste and fraud malinvestment occult taxation.

This is what Armstrong may mean by, they should have just printed the money and paid the peoples

taxes, because the W2 taxes defines the source of production and the source of capital in the same stroke.

See how they scammed the liberals into genocide. Its all the definition of natural law, counting.

Obama has met his first budget target deadline. Process

How Does the Federal Government Create a Budget?

There are five key steps in the federal budget process:

  1. The President submits a budget request to Congress
  2. The House and Senate pass budget resolutions
  3. House and Senate Appropriations subcommittees “markup” appropriations bills
  4. The House and Senate vote on appropriations bills and reconcile differences
  5. The President signs each appropriations bill and the budget becomes law

Without House approval, its dead in the water. FUCK OFF Obama!

Fascists are so brazen the edifice will shake loose. They're going to need to come up with new institutions to come up with new lies and excuses.

Their excuses need excuses but their excuses ARE excuses for their excuses.

Fascism is now a self fulfilling system. I just can't imagine why people are needed anymore to service it. Is rubber in pulleys that important for the yachts fascists own?

Money is not what most here believe it is.  A few decades ago, money was physical coin and paper, basically instruments to be passed around so people could trade goods and services for them.  That is why the current  thinking is so wrong.

As ZH has often pointed out, it is the flow that is important.  Now it is controlled through bytes and flow is measured and doled out.  They are just starting to understand this.  They couldn't do it in the past as the intruments were physical.  Now issuing money in the form of computerized transactions really has little effect as long as the flow continues.  Once it stops there will be major problems.

How else could the USA keep running budget deficits decade after decade, expand government and military, without hitting a wall?  Money is an illusion today, an illusion most do not understand.

Kill your ex-friends to make your enemies stronger.

Now you sound Oligarch style paranoid thru looking at the void.

On the Titanic its called scuttling the ship. The enemy there is the Big white one, who has torn the hull beyond redemption.

City twats are now irrelevant as the debt plague is magnitudes larger than shitty City.

Just look at HSBC in Swiss and that is JUST ONE BANK in the stellar constellation of fiat crapolia feeding the illusion of wealth inequality à la Piketty.

Its financial Ebola, only worse, 'cos its AIRBORNE, and now its not only spread by private banks as in 1990-2007 "pumped on steroids" period--with the help of Greenspan's ZIRP--,  but by the state CBs, since post Lehman bail-out, and with what a tsunami vengeance by Helicopter Ben!

Super Steroids for everyone in Oligarchy Disneyland.

You don't stop the financial plague by killing a host in City.

You have to kill the whole tribe, or let them die like on the Titanic.

Who survives is then a question of global resonance on the Bridge of Sighs, attacked by the waters of Venice high tide.

Socialist bankers demand bailouts.

Socialist Syriza doesn't want a bailout.

Syriza know the bailouts just go to banks and the people have to pay the money back.

The FEDs stance indicates they know something we don't know, like the dangerous position taken in the quadrillion dollar derivatives market perhaps?

In 2008 a collapse in small sector of the US housing market (sub-prime) was turned into a financial catastrophe by the financial house of cards stacked on top of sub-prime.

The FED is indicating Greece is the same.

The Euro-zone is not worried about Greece but is unaware of the financial house of cards stacked on top by Wall Street.

I am sure all European bank bailouts are about the preservation of the derivatives web spun by Wall Street.

We want to give Greece another loan (bailout) even though they don't want it.

With the world saturated in debt, it is time to realise that banks are a one trick pony.

They issue loans (debt) and collect interest on these loans (debt).

For a company that produces real products, like Apple, once the market is saturated with the iPhone 5, you bring out the iPhone 6 and the whole cycle starts again.

In a world saturated with Debt 1, the banks need to come up with a new product, Debt 2.

I don’t think it exists.

In the logic of central banking, the Federal Reserve, Wall Street, and the Wisdom of Bailouts a la 2008-2010, the idea of having the Federal Reserve bail out Greece makes perfect sense.

Consider:

1. It would cost the Federal Reserve virtually nothing to give Greece $300 Billion since the Fed creates currency out of thin air on a computer keyboard;

2. Bailing out irresponsible debtors is quite within the usual practice of central banking;

3. To balance its books, the Fed could accept some new bonds from Greece, perhaps "ZIRP TO INFINITY" Bonds which will not impose any financial burden on the Greek people suffering under austerity, or even "NIRP TO INFINITY" Bonds which would provide some return to the struggling Greeks as long as they left the bonds unpaid;

3. The financial mess of the European Union is a threat to the stability of the financial mess, er, I mean the stability of the financial system of the EU and USA.

4. The EU nations are reliable allies of the USA in NATO, and operate under the same international banking umbrella that so benignly looks after the financial affairs of the Western world;

5.  In particular, if Greece defaults on its debts (i.e. fails to roll over each bond issue as it comes due), that will count as an event of default on untold amounts in derivatives, and could cause immense damage to counterparties.  If the likes of Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan are holding large counterparty positions, they might need another Fed bailout in an amount exceeding $300 Billion;

6. Bankers could earn large fees handling the bailout of Greece, which will go a long way to help fund the campaign expenses of many politicians, thus keeping democracy healthy and vibrant; and

7. Some pundits have stated that the Federal Reserve traded $70 Trillion in US Dollars for Euros in 2010 to keep the European banks afloat and to allow them to pay USD-denominated obligations.  If the Fed is still holding large amounts of Euros, and if a Greek default causes the value of the Euro to fall, the losses on the Fed's balance sheet might result in the reduction of bonuses paid to some bankers, reducing the income taxes payable to the US government (and also endangering the ability of bankers to fund campaign expenses).

All the above points set out a convincing case in favor of bailing out Greece, don't they?  Don't they?  Um.  Er......

Just wait until Obama announces his plan to bail out Greece.  Then the true wisdom of the plan will be revealed.

Or Super Mario Draghi and Angles Merkel will announce a made in Europe bailout plan for Greece this week, as they grit their teeth and try to convince the rest of the PIIGS that Greece is no better off with new bailout terms and is better off staying in the EU and Euro.  I'm sure fresh lipstick is going to be a big part of any offer to Greece.
