Guest Post: Understanding The Fear Of Self-Defense And Revolution

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Brandon Smith via Alt-Market.com,

Our era is a strange one when considering how social attitudes have developed in such a contrary fashion to the rest of history. I think that our forefathers would look upon our current culture with bewilderment when confronted with the fact that our generation has all but abandoned the option of physical rebellion as a tool for social change. Even among the most enslaved of nations and peoples, the idea of revolution has been held in regard as an entirely moral and principled affair involving every individual, no matter their age or economic station. Today, however, that which we call “revolution” has been delegated mostly to college-age intellectuals and has been so watered down and whitewashed with politically correct restrictions that the concept is hardly recognizable.

I believe the civil rights movements in America and in India in the 20th century have in many ways warped the public view of how opposition to totalitarianism is actually accomplished. I find it interesting that movements led by Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. enjoy so much adoration in mainstream media and in public schooling, while the American Revolution is often either misrepresented or not discussed at all. Gandhi’s movement was, in concrete terms, a failure until Indians had actually began organizing to physically fight the British, causing the Crown to attempt to defuse the movement by suddenly offering up a reformation of Indian governance (one that would continue to benefit them). When one examines the facts surrounding Cointelpro operations by the FBI and CIA during the civil rights movement in America, one realizes that half the efforts and actions were legitimate and the other half entirely manipulated.

Over the course of half a century, the philosophy of “anti-violence” has come to include a distinct distaste for self-defense. Self-defense is now consistently equated to “violence” (and is, thus, immoral), regardless of environmental circumstances.

Even in the liberty movement, there are people who disregard physical defense as either barbaric or “futile” and have adopted rather less-effective pacifist ideologies of more socialist activism. The problem with certain factions of libertarianism is that they tend to live within their own heads, reveling in a world of Ayn Randian and Rothbardian political and social theory, while abandoning the other side of concrete resistance. Some in the survival community call these people “egghead libertarians,” and I think the label fits.

They rejoice only in the intellectual; thus, they tend to see themselves only as “intellectual warriors.” For them, the war against tyranny by extension must be fought on an intellectual battlefield. Otherwise, as individuals, they have little to offer the resistance. They believe that if they merely present a better and more logical philosophy, they will win over the masses to their side or even change the souls of the rather soulless psychopaths creating tyranny in the first place. Like magic, they will have won the fight without ever truly fighting. It sounds like a strategy right out of the “Art Of War,” but really it is an intricate excuse designed to avoid risk.

They have almost no experience with and, therefore, no respect for the concept of self-defense and revolution. And they have no capacity to fathom what such an endeavor would entail. This unknown scenario inspires fear in them — a fear of struggle, a fear of failure and a fear of death.

While taking action from a position of love for one’s fellow man is indeed noble, it is sometimes not enough in the face of pure evil — the kind of evil inherent in the ranks of elitism and the globalist ideology. It is important to keep at least one foot on the ground when building a movement of dissent and realize that while maintaining the moral high ground is paramount, there are limitations to what peaceful resistance can accomplish, depending on the opponent. If you are not prepared to use both peaceful means and physical defense if necessary, your movement will ultimately fail against an enemy without conscience.

Never before in history have humans been so dismissive of the self-defense concept when it comes to government, and I attribute this to clever conditioning and to an ingrained and powerful fear. Here are some of the most commonly heard arguments against physical revolution and why they are either ill-conceived or outright disingenuous.

Revolution Is Morally Wrong?

I find the attitude of moral superiority of the nonviolence crowd rather disconcerting at times and, in many ways, dishonest. It is very common to run into nonviolence proponents who are not satisfied with their own personal choice of pacifism alone. In many cases, they will attack or undermine other parts of the movement preparing for self-defense on the basis that even mere preparation is somehow akin to physical aggression. These people are never satisfied until everyone in the movement meets their “high standards” of activist purity.

In the end, I think their position is less about a regard for peace than it is about a regard for their own egos. People in general tend to support the formation of taboos (as opposed to honest principles) in order to gain what they see as the moral upper hand over others. They invent a condition of arbitrary piety around themselves in an act of self-elevation that does not constitute true morality.

Anyone who makes self-defense a taboo is not only living in a fantasy land outside the inherent structures of natural law, he is also likely doing so because he enjoys the sense of social superiority such a position affords. In this way many of the more irrational nonviolence activists are, in fact, no better that the raving acolytes of the cult of political correctness.

Physical self-defense against tyranny is not only necessary, but entirely honorable. When the violence of an individual is thwarted by defense, when a potential thief robs the wrong house, when a rape is prevented by an armed and prepared woman or when a potential murderer is shot dead by a citizen who refused to be a victim, our society cheers. But when someone suggests that the same measures be taken against a violent and corrupt government, people suddenly claim moral hazard.

There is no difference between the act of defending oneself against a common criminal and defending oneself against a criminal government. I would venture to say that self-defense is a moral imperative more vital to the survival of peace and freedom than any other.

Revolution Is Futile And The Enemy Is Too Strong?

When anti-defense initiates cannot effectively argue against the moral principles of physical revolution, they invariably change tactics, asserting instead that revolution is a useless endeavor that will end only in tragedy for the participants. I see this argument as a product of brainless nihilism rather than rationalism, and such a defeatist mindset invariably stems from cowardice rather than logic.

Nihilism is a powerful psychological force that destroys all hope and all positive pursuits. It is essentially the act of denying success before an endeavor is ever undertaken. Nihilists ensure their own failure because for them every scenario is a no-win scenario.

To them, I might seem like a blind optimist, while they see themselves as realists. In truth, pro-self-defense advocates are far more realistic. There is certainly a fundamental difference in the manner in which we look at the world. When I and those “optimists” like me see a problem, we look for a solution regardless of the scale of the threat; and if we cannot immediately find an obvious solution right away, we keep working until we do. There is no such thing as a no-win scenario for us. There is always a way to overcome an obstacle. The odds of success are not relevant where revolution against oligarchy is concerned.

I would also point out the reality that, at bottom, it does not matter what the odds are in a revolution for freedom. When all is said and done, you will probably be confronted with two choices in the face of tyranny: fight and possibly die; or surrender, become a slave and probably still die. Those who argue against self-defense are in most cases trying to avoid the inevitability of this choice by creating non-options and non-solutions out of thin air. This is the opposite of realism.

Physical revolution requires a methodology of adaptivity and courage. Fear has no place in the mind of a freedom fighter, and nihilism is just as foreign to him. The goal of liberty will be accomplished. Totalitarians will be defeated. The size of the movement is not a factor. We expect that we will be in the minority. There is no other outcome but victory because we will allow no other outcome. Period. If we are proven wrong, then we are proven wrong; but it will not be due to a lack of trying.

In our age, arguments of the technological superiority of the enemy are often brandished as clear evidence of the uselessness of physical resistance. I think one could also make the argument that technological superiority in media manipulation and other fields could make nonviolent resistance useless as well. I’m not really sure why nihilists cling to the notion that technology matters at all, except that it perhaps offers an easy and lazy avenue of debate. The enemy has predator drones; therefore, revolution is futile.

In conjunction with Oath Keepers, I will soon be producing a video that will show the liberty movement how to build their own working thermal-evasion suits. Perhaps this will quell the incessant proclamations that drones and tanks and Apache helicopters mean anything at all in the face of asymmetric warfare. If the enemy can’t see you, they can’t kill you; and for every high-tech enemy, there is a low tech solution. Of course, I doubt this will mean anything to the nihilists, who don’t have the will to fight for anything except their belief that fighting back is useless.

Revolutions Are Always Co-Opted?

I have heard it argued by multiple sources within the liberty movement over the years that revolution is a poor option in defeating tyranny because of the cyclical nature of political and social change. They claim that all we have to do is look back at history to see that even when a revolution is successful in removing oligarchy, the resulting republic is invariably co-opted years or decades down the road. I agree, to a point.

The problem is not that the concept of revolution is ineffective. What these skeptics of physical rebellion tend to overlook or deliberately ignore is that no revolution in the history of man has ever gone far enough. Each revolution has targeted the corrupt government of their day, but no revolution has ever actually removed the elitist cabal behind those regimes — the same cabal of elites that has bankrolled nearly every tyranny over the past several centuries.

This is due in part to the fact that knowledge of who these elites are was not widespread. Today, for the first time ever, mankind has full access to information on who the globalists are and what they want. In fact, the elites barely hide who they are or what their intentions are anymore. One can simply look up the roster of organization like Bilderberg, Tavistock, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Monetary Fund, the Bank for International Settlements, etc. At least in the liberty movement, we know who the real enemy is.

Co-option is always a threat if you do not know who the enemy is. A revolution against the Obama administration alone, for example, would be useless because President Obama is nothing but a puppet, a mascot playing a role. Removing middlemen is a half-measure, and anyone who tries to lead you into revolution on the premise that Obama alone is the source of your troubles is probably an elitist leading you toward disaster. If you are not removing the root of the threat, then the threat will persist.

Co-option also occurs when people become obsessed with the idea of popular top-down leadership rather than bottom-up decentralized resistance. If you are out there looking for the next George Washington on a white horse to save you from tyranny, then you will eventually get him; but he may not be at all what he seems. Beware of generals and top brass suddenly in support of revolution. Beware of any notion of military coup. Beware of any revolution that uses political party divisions as a motivator. Beware of any government with a central bank that wishes to bankroll your revolution. Stay decentralized and refuse any push for top-down leadership. This is the only way to avoid co-option.

Revolution Solves Nothing Because Mankind Is ‘Predisposed’ To Tyranny?

The great lie being injected into the movement over the past few years is that removal of the elites will solve nothing because the “real problem” is the corrupt nature of humanity in general and that if we remove one set of elites, they will simply be replaced with another set, as if society is fatally predisposed to develop an elitist class. This is the most vapid form of defeatist garbage ever regurgitated by nihilists.

First, we have no idea whatsoever what life would be like without the globalist network because we have never lived in a society in which they have been removed, even for a single generation. I think early America after the revolution is the only example I can find of a society free from most elitist controls, and the prosperity that developed in that environment leads me to believe that removal of the entire elitist framework would result in undeniable positive changes for the world. Why else would the globalists spend the past two centuries attempting to dismantle the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Second, if mankind is so “predisposed” to become naturally subservient to an elitist class, why do the elites feel so compelled to manipulate the masses with complex forms of propaganda and fear tactics? Why go through all the trouble of engineering economic disparity and war? What is the point if we are all dumb animals just waiting to be ruled? The argument is nonsense. The elites spend billions of dollars, if not trillions of dollars, in capital and go to such extremes because oligarchy is not a natural state of man. It is so unnatural that the elites are forced to expend constant energy trying to keep us from progressing away from the slave dynamic.

I believe a revolution is indeed necessary, a final revolution to remove the influence of the globalist cult once and for all — not only their puppet governments, puppet political parties and puppet despots, but the globalists themselves. Will bad men still exist in this world? Of course they will. But the kind of advanced and well-organized internationlist machine that thirves today will no longer exist. To save a patient poisoned to the extreme, the patient must be purged until his body can recover on its own. The elites are a poison that must be physically removed from the human system.

Do not be daft. One subset of humanity has charged itself with the extermination of the rest. They have started with the particular batch that poses the greatest threat to them.

This is not just a battle for supremecy....but one of elimination, meaning...it's "lights out" for the loser

I agree there should be revolution in Russia so that people there would get back their independence from putin oligarch regime. Unfortunately they are brainwashed by regime main stream propaganda to realize they are slaves. If they don't see prison grid they don't try to break free - that is the point of putin regime propaganda brainwashing program.

The Russians have been through it all: world war, Communism, oligarchic kleptocracy, etc. They aren't being fooled; they know the score. It's the American sheeple that need to wake up to reality.

Yeah, a revolution in Russia so she can spend another 80 years as the guinea pig for the crazy social engineering experiments of western bankers and socialists. Sure, we'll all get right on that.

Russia is done being raped by globalists. She is currently putting her rapists on notice that they won't escape justice forever. They offered her and her children no mercy. So they needn't count on mercy themselves.

Tell whoever pays you to troll her that if Russia can russify East Prussia they can Russify all of Germany, and deport the Volksdeutsche to the Urals. That was Hitler's plan for the Russians, after all. Sauce for the goose.

Hard to imagine what that scenario would look like.  Most likely nobody would get off their ass until people were being loaded on trains and tortured in public. If it was disguised well could go on for years before anyone took notice.

Then when the pitchforks did come out it would be brain scrambling microwaves, Ebola and God knows what else they've come up with since whiskey pete.  This population would be hit with the worst terror campaign ever seen.  Would be effing ugly, but then again, it already is.

I think that everyone who ponders the matter for a while realizes the need for revolution - but aside from killing the bad guys, what are you trying to accomplish?

The only revolution which is a worthwhile revolution is a revolution to restore something. What do you wish to restore? What, in the end, is your ideal?  You must first define your dogma if you are to be able to take any practical steps.  If all you want to do is change things, then I present to you the modern world - it has all the change you could ever want. But for a good revolution, what we must want to do is change it back to what it was.

For an American, this would mean to restore 1776 - to restore what we set out to do in our sublime Declaration. If you want to take it to a broader context - the overall Christian civilization upon which 1776 was built - then you can seek to restore that, as well; though that is not so much in the American tradition, as most Americans wouldn't even understand a concept like the Holy Roman Empire - called none of the three by Voltaire, but he was a bit of a nincompoop and may be ignored; the ideal of it, however, was something rather interesting: a set of self-governing territories all united under a strictly limited central government providing for mutual defense of all the parts and the ensurance of justice throughout the realm; keep in mind that the office of Emperor was elective...on a severly limited franchise, to be sure, but still elective...there are nuggets of political wisdom still to be gleaned from that astonishing edifice which endured for so long.

I don't want us to just kill all the bankers and lawyers, much as such an activity would be gratifying. I want a revolution which will put things back to the right relations. Family first. Then locality. Least of all, central authority.

this was cute .

Beware of any government with a central bank that wishes to bankroll your revolution.

without french banks, helping the u.s. for 30 years, american revolution against british armies could have last a hundred years until the u.s. got its independence.

oh yea, and the banker? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haym_Salomon

for all you fucktard anti-semites. here's a classic ashkenaz immigratn from poland who had the balls to get some help for the american revolution.

so , 'beware' can mean, just--be careful but take the money .

revolutions may be a hell of a lot cheaper than wars.

but THEYRE STILL NOT FREE.

Best article I have read on zerohedege and I have been reading for quite a while.

Why the Americans - armed to the teeth - sit like startled rabbits as a fascist police state grows like cancer around them leaves me stunned.

A police state now practicing mass murder, terrorism and theft quite openly.

They seem completely gutless.

If you are stunned that there has not been a full out revolution in the US then you need to read and inform yourself more because comprehension is lacking.

Loss of rights doesnt equal civil war.  The comfort level here is still high and by comparison to other countries we are not even close to the brink.  Market crashes then yes, until then no.

For any elite it is important to ensure the majority have enough invested in the system so they won't over-throw it.

The majority do have savings, cars, houses, children in schools, jobs, retirement plans .......

This is the forgotten idea of democracy (forgotten in the US anyway).

You can vote for new leaders who want to do what you want them to.

These leaders have been absent in Europe too but new parties are springing up to change things.

With Syriza in Greece the people are getting what they want without a total of over-throw of the entire system.

Only the youth are really capable of revolution as they have very little invested in the status quo.

The Arab Springs were very youth orientated.

Democracy or revolution?

What you have got invested in the status quo determines the answer.

HUMAN PREDATORS
      ...  versus  ...
HUMAN PRODUCERS

That's all there is to this.

A living being needs goods to survive, and goodies to prosper and enjoy life.

A living being can get those goods and goodies in two ways...

#1:  PRODUCE THEM.

#2:  STEAL THEM.

That's the entire dynamic.

If human producers will not defend themselves against human predators... THEY ARE SLAVES, THEY ARE DEFEATED, and THEY ARE HOPELESS.

-----

This article is correct and good, but for some reason avoids these most precise and fundamental terms.  This difference in terminology is important.  Why?  Not only to be precise, but because few humans will be motivated to get off their butts and defend themselves until they clearly understand the true nature of these predatory animals who endlessly abuse them, enslave them and suck the life from them every day of their lives.

One point that needs to be made clear.

Predators never, ever fight "fair", their very survival relies on them winning. They always, always either outnumber their prey substantially, or are much larger than their prey physically.

When the prey starts to reach equality in size or numbers, the risks that predators run of hurt or death makes predation highly unattractive.

This means that various tactics appear for both predators and prey. Where the prey does out number the predators in numbers or size, they single out individuals to attack and then gang up on them, giving a number or size advantage. They are by definition relying on the fact that the larger numbers of prey will not come to the aid of the individual.

For prey, the most successful strategy against predators is to form groups and to aid other individuals within the group when they are attacked. The very last thing a predator wants is a fair fight.

Correct.  Which is why I've pointed out several times in ZH messages that the greatest weapon of the predators is... the fact that destruction is massively more potent and powerful than production.

The fact that predators will happily employ destruction on producers without a second thought gives them the greatest advantage of all.  An advantage that totally evaporates if their prey is equally or more willing to take advantage of physical destruction upon them and their machinery and weapons and mechanisms.

As a Christian and a libertarian, I don't sanction the initiation of violence. I do not see the American secession from the King as a revolution. It was simply a divorce, with it made clear that we meant it. The King elected to enforce his rule. The founders defended themselves. This is far different than the French Revoluiton in which violence was initiated by the citizenry. To a ruler, willful departure from his rule is seen as revolution, but it is not. It is a non-violent act, backed up with the promise to respond to any violence on the part of the ruler.

In the end, capital "R" Revolutions don't generally improve things, historically. Just trade one tyrant for another, ala Castro in Cuba.

Fulfilling the definition of "violence" DOES NOT require a bullet being fired. The mere act of pointing the "gun" - hell...the mere act of IMPLYING THE USE of the "gun" is the initiation of violence.

WARNING: long post -

but should be interesting for anyone studying the underlying dynamics of revolution and the step-wise domination of different social classes.

---

Nuclear Revolution, P. R. Sarkar, 1969

A society may be described as the collection of numerous parallel psychic waves which originate due to the psychic tendency of moving together in unison. The glory of human society lies in the formation of a universal collective structure inspired by exalted ideas.

Dynamicity and staticity are inseparably associated with both individual and collective movement. Society is constantly moving; inertia means death. Social movement is the active effort to demolish a static structure and construct a dynamic structure in its place, and the characteristic of this movement is that it is rhythmic or systaltic, not linear.

All arenas of individual and collective life undergo changes with the changes in time, place and person. In comparison to the speed of change in social, economic, political and cultural life during the last 500 or 600 years, the speed of social change has greatly accelerated in the twentieth century. In the future, changes in society will take place with accelerating speed.

One of the scientific processes of social change is viplava or revolution. The Sa?skrta word viplava is derived from the Vedic root verb vi minus plu plus al. In the wake of every revolution, radical changes occur in individual and social life, and far-reaching changes take place in the collective psychology.

The main factor in revolution is the application of tremendous force to move society forward. PROUT (holistic socio economic theory formulated in 1955) defines revolution as,

Tivrashaktisampátena gatibardhana? viplavah

[Revolution is the application of tremendous force to accelerate the speed of the social cycle.]

Replacing one age by another by crushing exploitation and bringing about a change in the collective psychology within a short period of time through the application of tremendous force is what is called “revolution”.

If the reverse takes place, and the social cycle moves in the opposite direction by the application of tremendous force, it is called “counter-revolution”. In counter-revolution, society is taken backwards to the previous age. PROUT (holistic socio economic theory formulated by P. R. Sarkar in 1955) defines counter-revolution as,

Tiivrashaktisampátena vipariitadháráya? prativiplavah

[Counter-revolution is the application of tremendous force to turn the social cycle in the reverse direction.]

The main task of revolution is to overcome the barriers of staticity and inertia in the collective psychology of one age and establish the next age in the order of the social cycle. Society moves according to the inexorable laws of the social cycle, yet those who are concerned for the collective welfare will always endeavour to accelerate the speed of social movement by fighting relentlessly against exploitation so that all can move forward together in unison.

When the psychic balance in social life undergoes a revolutionary change, certain factors remain inseparably associated with that change. Some of those factors are the collective upsurge against exploitation; revolt against the status quo; effective struggle to the benevolent forces against the malevolent forces; and the longing for a new collective psychology among the people.

Human civilization has now reached a critical stage of transition. Exploitation of one human being by another has assumed alarming proportions. At critical junctures in the past, when exploitation had reached the zenith point, history witnessed the emergence of mighty personalities who were able to overcome the problems in society. Today also, the guidance of mighty personalities with a comprehensive ideology is required to lead humanity away from the edge of disaster towards a glorious future. The emergence of such personalities is an indispensable necessity of history.

The Social Cycle

There are predominantly four types of collective psychology. These psychologies are the shúdra, k?atriya, vipra and vaeshya. They have nothing to do with casteism and are completely psychological phenomena.

Shúdras (of menial mentality) are those who are influenced by materialistic waves; they cannot overpower materialistic waves by their individual psychic waves. Manual power is their only means of social security. k?atriyas (of martial mentality) bring the materialistic waves under their control through their physico-psychic waves. vipras (intellectuals) do the same thing through their penetrating psychic waves. For the k?atriyas, physical strength or valour is the principal means of attaining social security, while the vipras (intellectuals) rely on their intellects. A perusal of history illustrates that the vipras, by dint of their intellectual acumen, created a sense of reverence and subordination in the minds of the k?atriyas, and were thus able to control their physical strength and prowess. The vaeshya (capitalist) psychology is somewhat different. The vaeshyas (capitalists) do not want to enjoy material objects; rather they get enjoyment at the thought of accumulating them.

Primitive society was guided by shúdra mentality. Gradually society became compact under the influence of k?atriya mentality, and the k?atriya (martial) era was established in the world. This was an era of heroes and kings. The k?atriya age was subsequently replaced by the vipra age – the age of intellectuals and priests. Next came the age of the vaeshyas (capitalists). The difference between the former two classes and the vaeshyas (capitalists) is that the vaeshyas seldom come to power directly. They put the k?atriyas (police and military) or vipras (intellectuals/priests/politicians) in power, and control the society, economy and polity from behind the scenes. Generally, the amount of physical and psychic clash is less during the k?atriya and vipra eras compared to the vaeshya (capitalist) era, where poverty, deprivation and exploitation are extreme.

The transition from one age to the next may take place through natural change, evolution or revolution. Natural change or evolution can bring about change from the k?atriya era to the vipra era, and from the vipra era to the vaeshya (capitalist) era, but to eliminate vaeshya (capitalist) exploitation, the application of tremendous force is absolutely essential.

As a result of vaeshya (capitalist) exploitation, those having k?atriya or vipra mentalities are transformed into the disgruntled slaves of the vaeshyas. They have no alternative but to toil at the behest of the vaeshyas (capitalists) to fill their bellies. Those k?atriyas (of martial mentality) and vipras (intellectuals) who are turned into shúdras under circumstantial pressure carry a simmering discontent in their hearts. This group are known as the “vik?ubdha shúdras” or the “disgruntled workers”. These disgruntled workers – the exploited vipras (intellectuals) and k?atriyas (of martial mentality) – give systematic expression to the frustrations of the masses to end vaeshya (capitalist) exploitation. This is the class with revolutionary distinction.

The revolution which terminates the capitalist era requires the united struggle of the disgruntled workers. Shúdras can never be the actual revolutionaries because they lack sufficient moral stamina, responsibility and fighting spirit. They are vulnerable to many vices and are not well-established in human values, hence they cannot develop the requisite revolutionary character. The vik?ubdha shúdras (disgruntled police/military or intellectuals who are forced to live unskilled menial lives)  develop into genuine revolutionaries because they acquire the moral courage and discipline to oppose exploitation.

The revolution against capitalist exploitation is termed “shúdra revolution”. Although the k?atriyas (of martial mentality) and vipras (intellectuals) are turned into vik?ubdha shúdras (disgruntled police/military or intellectuals who are forced to live unskilled menial lives)  due to capitalist exploitation, immediately after shúdra revolution, the vik?ubdha shúdras revert to their k?atriya and vipra psychologies. Because of the martial character of shúdra revolution, the leadership of society passes into the hands of the k?atriyas (military), hence a new k?atriya era emerges. Even during the k?atriya era, the vipras (intellectuals) try to establish their influence through force of intellect and attempt to move society along the path of vipra psychology. The vipra era is followed by the vaeshya (capitalist) era and then again by shúdra (laborer) revolution. So, the movement of the social cycle and revolution are inseparably related.

The four types of psychology dominate the social cycle in cyclic progression. Towards the end of an era, the collective psychology undergoes marked deterioration. Moral degeneration and social retardation cause psycho-social stagnation. Exploitation becomes rampant. This sort of unhealthy situation signals the end of an era. The different classes try to usurp social power and establish their hegemony by trampling on the rights of others. This conflict has been discernible from the dawn of human civilization. Through this clash and cohesion, human beings try to find the path of emancipation.

In the modern world, capitalist exploitation is rampant almost everywhere. Capitalism is now rapidly moving into the final stage of degeneration. In the early part of the capitalist era, society experienced certain advantages, but towards the end, society has become the victim of insatiable rapacity, unbearable hardship and heartless deprivation. Those countries suffering under the weight of capitalist exploitation are rapidly moving towards shúdra (laborer) revolution.

Types of Revolution

According to their form and character, it is generally considered that the types of revolution include palatial change and pyramidical revolution. Palatial change and pyramidical revolution are not revolutions in the true sense because they may or may not result in the change of the collective psychology and the forward movement of the social cycle.

PROUT (socio economic theory formulated by P. R. Sarkar) advocates another type of revolution called “nuclear revolution”. In nuclear revolution, every aspect of collective life – social, economic, political, cultural, psychic and spiritual – is completely transformed. New moral and spiritual values arise in society which provide the impetus for accelerated social progress. The old era is replaced by a new era – one collective psychology is replaced by another. This type of revolution results in all-round development and social progress.

Nuclear revolution can only be brought about by sadvipras who reside in the nucleus of the social cycle (who imbibe and actively practice the strengths of all social classes). Through their concerted effort, moral and spiritual power and all-round endeavour, they mobilize the exploited sections of society to overthrow the ruling class – the exploiters. This very struggle for mass upheaval liberates society from exploitation and ushers in a new era of peace and prosperity.

sadvipras will control the key points at the nucleus of the social structure. In nuclear revolution, there is minimum loss of life and property, and the transformation of society is accomplished within a very short span of time.

Requirements For Nuclear Revolution

There are several requirements for the success of nuclear revolution – 1) the presence of exploitation in any form, 2) revolutionary organization, 3) positive philosophy, 4) revolutionary cadres, 5) infallible leadership and 6) revolutionary strategy. All these requirements are necessary.

The presence of exploitation. There are various types of exploitation in society. The form and character of exploitation changes as per changes in time, place and person. In every era of the social cycle, there are various kinds of exploitation. For example, in the economic sphere there is feudal exploitation, colonial exploitation, capitalist exploitation, imperialist exploitation and fascist exploitation. Exploitation may also manifest in such spheres as the physical, psychic, economic, political and cultural spheres. In the past the slave system was prevalent in the Greek and Roman Empires. The rulers sucked the blood of the vanquished to bolster their own interests. In psychic exploitation, the masses are misled with the help of pseudo-philosophies which encourage dogma and narrowmindedness. Democratic socialism and the theory of peaceful coexistence are examples of the hypocrite’s psychology. In economic exploitation, vested interests deprive people of their minimum requirements. Money lending, charging exorbitant interest rates, compelling poor farmers to sell their produce through distress sales, etc., are examples of economic exploitation. Regardless of the type of exploitation used by the exploiters, when society is moving towards revolution, the role of the exploiters is exposed. The exploiters are unable to disguise their exploitation any longer.

The existence of exploitation in society can be ascertained through the prevalence of such factors as extreme poverty; social insecurity; injustices against the common people; lack of purchasing capacity to acquire the minimum requirements of life; huge economic and social differences between various classes; the irrational distribution of wealth; etc. The present social, economic and political conditions in India exemplify all these ailments. India is on the verge of revolution.

Revolutionary organization. Revolution and war are almost the same. Revolution is a type of war. The difference between the two is that in war force is applied on behalf of a person or state, but in revolution, force is applied by a group of people to establish a society free from exploitation. A revolutionary organization is essential for revolutionary war. During the psychic preparation for revolution, the disgruntled sections of society will have to build a revolutionary organization which will create a congenial environment for revolution.

A diverse, multifarious organization is required to conduct revolution. The responsibility of the organization is like that of a government. The revolutionary organization must be operational from the highest level of the state down to the village level. Local activists or coordinators are connected to every level of the structure. All the activities of the revolution are directed by the highest body.

If a revolution is started without building a proper structure, or if loopholes are left in the formation of the structure, the results will be disastrous. In the struggle for Indian independence, for example, the revolutionary leaders failed to build a structure down to village level, and the British seized upon this organizational weakness. Such loopholes cause unpardonable losses. This occurred in recent Indian history.

Positive philosophy. The revolutionary organization must follow a positive philosophy. A progressive, comprehensive ideology is the invincible weapon of the revolutionary organization. It counteracts negative ideas in society and generates a powerful, positive psychic flow in the collective psychology. People become revolutionary-minded, yet vested interests determinedly try to resist positive change, hence polarization occurs in the collective psychology. The duty of the revolutionary leaders is to create polarization through the propagation of a positive philosophy.

The philosophy of the revolutionary organization should be free from all kinds of narrow defects and dogma. If there are any defects in the philosophy or if it is not comprehensive, there is the danger that the leadership of society will go out of the control of the revolutionaries. This will be extremely harmful for the progressive development of the society.

In addition, the philosophy must be based on practice, not on theory. If there are any defects in the practical implementation of the philosophy then can be rectified, but if there are fundamental defects in the philosophy itself, the philosophy can never be implemented, nor can it be rectified.

The theories of Marx and Gandhi are examples of defective philosophies. The fundamental principles of Marxism are unpsychological, irrational and anti-human. Marxists say that revolution is the only solution to capitalist exploitation. This is a positive idea. But the concepts of dialectical materialism, the materialist conception of history, the withering away of the state, proletariat dictatorship, classless society, etc., are defective ideas which can never be implemented. That is why the post-revolutionary stage in every communist country has suffered from turmoil and oppression. There is not a single country in the world which is established according to Marxist ideals.

Gandhism is also defective. Instead of guaranteeing liberation from exploitation, it favours the interests of the exploiters, hence it is a negative philosophy. Liberation from exploitation is impossible when the exploiters themselves find shelter in the philosophy. The co-existence of the exploiters and the exploited can never lead to a society free from exploitation. No revolutionary organization can accept Gandhism as an ideal philosophy. If any organization does, then it will no longer be a revolutionary organization, and it will break apart within a short time. This is an historical inevitability. Thus, the revolutionary organization must adopt a positive philosophy which is without defects.

Revolutionary cadres. Before the revolutionary organization gives the clarion call for revolution, there must be intensive preparation. In spite of the presence of all the conditions for revolution, revolution may not take place unless the exploited masses are psychologically prepared for revolution. If the people do not support revolution, the clarion call for revolution will not be heeded. Ideologically educated revolutionary workers will have to channelize the psychology of the common mass towards revolution and inspire them to undertake revolutionary strugle! Such workers must adopt a rational approach inspired by the positive philosophy, have a well-developed socio-economico-political consciousness, and be dedicated to uplifting the standard of the common people. The duty of these workers is to inspire the frustrated masses along the path of revolution. Through their dedication and dynamism, they will be able to bring the collective psychology in their favour. The first and foremost duty of the revolutionary organization is to create dedicated workers.

Infallible leadership. The success of the revolution depends on the leadership. Loss of life and property will be minimized to the extent to which the leadership is free from defects. Ideal leadership is the wealth of the society as well as of the revolution. It will not only lead to a successful revolution, but will also fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people in the post-revolutionary phase of society.

In many countries a well-knit and prosperous society could not be built in the post-revolutionary phase due to the defective leadership. Concepts such as Plato’s philosopher king, Confucius’ sage, Nietzsche’s superman, Marx’s proletariat dictatorship, etc., were propounded to develop ideal leadership, but all these concepts have failed. There is a vast difference between a theory of leadership and the practical, human qualities of a leader. Due to intelligence, acumen, social awareness, oratory skill and some other qualities, a few leaders were successful in the instigating revolution, but later on they became the objects of slander because they were unable to guide society along the path of real progress. They were unable to solve the pressing problems confronting the people or eradicate exploitation.

Sadvipra leadership is the ideal form of leadership. Such leaders will be physically fit, mentally developed and spiritually elevated. With their help and guidance, revolution will be materialized.

Revolutionary strategy. The forces opposed revolution possess immense military power. In spite of it, the revolutionaries achieve victory. This victory is due not only to a well-knit organization, progressive ideology and exemplary leadership, but also to revolutionary strategy.

Leadership is not imposed from above, rather it establishes itself through dedication, sincerity, ideological zeal, fighting spirit and all-round capacity. Leaders gradually acquire such capabilities – step by step.

A common base of integrity and unity amongst the exploited members of society will have to be established. This is essential because at the time of revolution there will be an all-out fight against antisocial activities and corruption. The revolutionaries will have to fight against three forces – outside exploiters, internal exploiters and other inner evil forces. All these three forces are powerful. Yet the moral, psychic and spiritual strength of the revolutionaries will be the cause of their victory, because physical weapons are not the only source of power. Moral and spiritual power is infinitely stronger than physical force.

Although the primary duty of the revolutionaries is to drive out the exploiters, they also have to ensure that these exploiters do not get new opportunities to capture power or undermine society in the future. The greatest achievement of a revolution is to eradicate exploitation and bring about a progressive change in the collective psychology through the minimum loss of life and property.

The Role of Sentiments

Revolution always takes place around a sentiment. If there is no strong common sentiment, a revolution cannot take place. Sentiment is always stronger than logic.

Communism propagates sentiments like workers of the world unite. Initially, people were attracted to such sentiments, but after some time they discovered that they were hollow, consequently intellectuals became dissatisfied with them. Communism is now unable to fight against the local sentiments that are coming up in different parts of the world because these sentiments are stronger than communist sentiments.

PROUT (P. R. Sarkar in 1955) is based on a universal sentiment which is applicable for the whole cosmological order, and it is systematically moving towards the implementation of this sentiment. Who will make the local people conscious of their local sentiments keeping universalism in mind? Only PROUT can do this. Communists have no such idea. Only PROUT  can tackle all local sentiments and lead everyone in the world to universalism by gradual stages.

Revolutionaries must be well-versed in arousing the sentiments of the people and channelizing the sentimental legacy of the society towards universalism. During the preparation for revolution, unstinting effort must go into arousing the sentimental legacy of the people, because sentiments inspire popular support for the cause of revolution, and infuse the revolutionary workers with tremendous power and conviction.

According to PROUT, there are two types of sentiments – positive sentiments and negative sentiments. Positive sentiments are synthetic in nature. They unite society and elevate humanity, enhance collective interests and encourage progressive development. Negative sentiments are narrow in scope and divide society.

Some important positive sentiments include anti-exploitation sentiment, revolutionary sentiment, moral sentiment, cultural sentiment, universal sentiment and spiritual sentiment. Some negative sentiments include communalism, patriotism, nationalism, provincialism, lingualism and racism.

Negative sentiments should never be used to divide people into castes and communities – to create artificial fissiparous tendencies in society. Rather, they should always be used to bring unity amongst people. Hitler used racism in an effort to unite the German people and he succeeded in the short-term, but because he used negative sentiments only and had no positive sentiments, his approach resulted in a world war and the near destruction of Germany. The path of negativity is extremely dangerous and harmful for society. Positive sentiments are the real weapons to build society. This must never be forgotten under any circumstances.

This guy always has a belly full of bile, but what he simply cannot consider is that he lost the Birth Lottery.  He’s somewhere up in Redoubtland, where he and his homies egg each other on, chanting and ranting about “freedom” and “liberty”, fancying themselves latter day William Wallaces.  The irony is that NOBODY in the elite gives a flying fuck they even exist.  While constantly trying to promote “revolution”, but never actually taking the first step himself, he lives, at best, exactly the same life he would live if somehow every last elite/Illuminati/33rd Degree Freemason/Rothschild/Joooo/Central Banker/Bilderberger were swept away----only to be replaced by the next group of Alpha Thugs.  And Brian and his clan would be no more “successful”---and no happier---in the next iteration than they were in this one.  He and his homies are cursed at birth to play second fiddle, anywhere and everywhere, and would undoubtedly carry their anger and bitterness thing all the way to Elysium/Valhalla/Heaven, if they ever made it there.  He’d still be a champion of “Revolution Now!”, and be RIGHT BEHIND whoever started it.  And then he’d beef and moan about the outcome.  Zebra and its stripes.  The problem within.

One of the things that the reading of Zerohedge has taught me is that the elite are no different from the proles, other than in the skill set they bring to the table of existence.  Given the chance, the proles would be the same as those they now hate.  The genetically elite can rise to the top anywhere and everywhere (e.g., the ex-KGB thugs who run post-Soviet Russia, and who for reasons unknown are championed here), and the ordinary masses got shortchanged by God/Allah/Krishna/Bokonon and will always and forever be scale-paid extras or cannon fodder.  Should any of the proles actually “evolve” and gain the “necessaries” to be six sigma successful, they would instantly become exactly the people they now hate.  Human nature.  Power corrupts, and absolute power, etc.

Human existence has cycles.  It’s a few steps forward, then a few steps backward.  When humanity is “backing up the truck”, ignorance reigns supreme.  Superstition becomes religion, which in itself is just---in good times---low key superstition.  It’s a comfort against randomness.  In what we sometimes call the Dark Ages, all sorts of weird beliefs rose to prominence.  It is no different today as we put the truck into reverse gear.  One neo belief I find particularly humorous---you have to laugh because there is nothing else one can do---is the meme “MSM Bad, Internet Good”.  Even running through the comments in this article all sorts of bizarre beliefs pop up, all nonsense and all based on “internet research”.  There is no point in highlighting these false beliefs, because those with the losing tickets in the Birth Lottery NEED to believe.  Righteous indignation makes them feel better.  Heck, and they have LINKS, so their delusions must be real.

If Brian and his homies get their wish, what might we, and society itself, expect?  Here’s a likely answer:  In France, outside of a town named Beaucaire, there is an ancient monastic retreat called Saint-Roman.  It was established when some folks retreated to caves that nature carved inside limestone walls rising from a lower valley.  The caves served as refuges from the roaming barbarian hordes, the Vandals, the various Germanic tribes, and the Visigoths who stormed through both Gaul and the ruins of the Roman Empire, after Alaric sacked Rome and the last emperor fell.  More than anything, these caves epitomize the horror and the bleakness that was the Dark Ages, when life was the proverbial short, brutal and unpleasant.  Rape and pillage reigned supreme, as Alpha Thugs literally went all medieval.  A few folks and their offspring rode out the centuries holed up in these caves, because it was simply too dangerous to try to eke out a living in the lowlands.  Mad Max was a comforting fairy tale compared to the reality of life in the Dark Ages.  During these years, a good deal of the accumulated knowledge discovered and developed by the Greeks and the Romans was lost.  The Romans had built the Pont du Gard; medieval man built mud huts, though the clergy---got to have some powerful superstition---did build a few impressive churches.  All in all, it probably was not the best of times to be alive.  When society began its long emergence from pure anarchy, the first step was lords, vassals and serfs.  Eventually the various iterations of the plague hit, wiping out upwards of a third of Europe’s population, the serendipitous result of which was that labor gained pricing power owing to its scarcity.  Serfs became free, though it was disease, and not revolution, that freed them.

My own personal belief is that the problem the species faces today is that labor again has no pricing power.  Everything else is a symptom, not a cause.  Brian and his homies can jump on board after (someone else) rises up against the Alpha Thugs, but the underlying problem remains.  Get rid of the MIC, the Fed, fractional reserve, fiat---even lobbyists---and absolutely nothing changes.  Labor still will have no pricing power.  It won’t be one lick better for Brian, and may well be worse.

The roving hordes likely are coming back, no matter what we do, and Brian ain’t never gonna be happy.  Select your cave early and batten down the hatches. Oh, and be careful what you wish for.

60 years of peaceful parenting to liberty.  You teach your kids that violence by the authorities is acceptable when you spank them for disobedience.  You teach your kids that lying by the authorities is acceptable when you lie to them for their own good (santa).  You teach your kids that theft by the authorities is acceptable when you steal their toys for disobedience.  YOU ARE CREATING THE SHEEP.  Kids have until their 5th birthday to develop into who they will be for the rest of their lives.  Teach them: 1.  They own themselves and the full product of their labor.  2. No hitting, no stealing, no lying.  Sociopaths that use theft, deception and violence to gain power over other humans do not stand a chance against humans who KNOW THEY OWN THEMSELVES AND KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG.

Why physically attack the oligarchs and their elite cronies now, and produce sympathy for them, when they are much more effectively attacking themselves right now?

"Yay, preparedness!" and all that, but to fight you must first have a common understanding of what you want.  Then you must produce an EFFECTIVE strategy to get it.  Imagining military means as the only, or the only effective means to that strategy is juvenile.

Oligarchs' power does not rest primarily on physical force ANYWHERE, despite the fact that it EVERYWHERE involves intimidation as one of its elements.  This is an easy point to prove.  Look around you. How many government enforcers do you see?  How many people do you see who are NOT government and NOT enforcers?

A man with a gun is never the equal of more than a handful of determined opponents, unless those opponents are stupid  - and often not even then.

Oligarchs power rests on CONFIDENCE.  CONFIDENCE keeps all those non-enforcers in line.   Oligarchs enforce CONFIDENCE through 'officialization' i.e. through using traditional ceremonies to perform their functions.  This is true whether the 'ceremony' involves a Federal Official going through a certain procedure to produce currency from thin air, or a legal cartel going through a ceremony to 'convict' someone.

The reason why the elites are destroying themselves very effectively right now is because they are abandoning the accustomed ceremonies.   If you want to change society, you will capitalize on that fact to damage the center of the enemy's strength... CONFIDENCE THAT THE REGIME BENEFITS PEOPLE.

As for revolution. Here is what I see. I believe John Williams is correct. Hyperinflation, massive payroll tax increases and the collapse of the dollar. Commerce breaks down. Unemployment rockets past 50%. The inner cites riot and burn as the free shit crowd gets cut off. State revenue falls off the edge of a cliff as property owners revolt over unpayable property taxes. The national guard rolls and martial law ensues. The powers that be go full retard mideval brutal on the population. The parasite class cowers with approval. And then the fix. NO more cash. Digital currency with security provided by inserted microchip. Mandated under the federal taxing power as it will be the only accepted means to pay taxes. And so business will only contract for payment by that means. You want to work, eat and have access to medical care? Submit to the system or be cut off and starve to death. Failure to comply results in the inability to have access to the means to pay thus, real property regardless of value will be siezed for non payment. attempted gun confiscation and Civil war ensues. China and Russia take advantage of a severely weakened enemy and purge Europe of the neo nazis possibily speading to Alaska and northern Canada. Nuclear and biological weapons unleashed along with other advanced weaponry no one knows about. The planet is poisoned from one end to the other. Death, starvation on a massive scale never before witnessed in the history of the world. The powers that be stick to the script. They are,by very defenition, clinically insane.

Call me a coward, but I have a different recipe for revolution:  STARVE THE BEAST

1.)  Buy arable land and set up a sustainable farm in another country (several of the LatAm countries, such as Costa Rica and Panama, are good choices)

2.) Prepare for complete off-the-grid living:  solar, seeds for planting, animals for protein/dairy/eggs, guns/ammo for protection, etc

3.) Renounce citizenship and tell .gov to kiss your fucking ass and say goodbye to your tax revenues

4.) Watch from afar as this clusterfuck of a country crumbles

While I admire the stand up and fight revolutionaries, it is going to be a very bloody and ugly stand-off.  I have a family and am not going to leave them to fend for themselves in this fucked up world.

Sorry, I will not be taking up arms to fight a revolution.  But you can bet your ass that if anyone threatens my family or livelihood, they will not live to regret it.
