Obama May Attack ISIS In Any Country He Chooses, Deploy Ground Troops On A Whim, Delay Afghanistan Pull Out

Tyler Durden's picture

The Nobel peace prize-winning president has been busy today: not only did he already petition Congress earlier to declare war on the Islamic State, a non-country which technically doesn't exist, but now he plans to expands his "war powers" to any other place in the world. From Reuters:

  • MILITARY AUTHORIZATION BILL WOULD PRESERVE PRESIDENT'S ABILITY TO ORDER OPERATIONS AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE IN COUNTRIES OTHER THAN IRAQ, SYRIA - WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN
  • WHITE HOUSE SAYS COMBAT BOOTS ON THE GROUND MAY BE USED FOR HOSTAGE RESCUE OPERATIONS
  • OBAMA NOT RULING OUT DEPLOYING COMBAT TROOPS ON GROUND TO ASSIST AIR STRIKES AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE, IF PENTAGON RECOMMENDS IT -WHITE HOUSE

And not only that: also according to Reuters, Obama is considering a request from Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to slow the pace of the withdrawal of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, a senior administration official said on Wednesday.

"President Ghani has requested some flexibility in the troop drawdown timeline and base closure sequencing over the next two years, and we are actively considering that request," the official said, speaking on background.

Ghani will travel to Washington next month to meet with Obama. Last month, the Afghan president spoke publicly about the U.S. plan to halve the number of troops in Afghanistan in 2015 and cut them further in 2016. He made clear he would prefer a longer timeline and said: "deadlines should not be dogmas."

The U.S.-led coalition in Afghanistan ended its combat mission after 13 years of war at the end of 2014. About 13,000 foreign troops, mostly Americans, remain to train Afghan forces.

Afghan troops continue to fight Taliban militants. Last year was the most violent since the war began, the International Committee of the Red Cross has said.

U.S. officials are looking for ways to support Afghanistan.

Because when printing money, Obamacare and epic data revisions and seasonal adjustments no longer lead to 5% growth in the US, the only other option is, of course, war.

According to ancient legend the white race results from a nuclear explosion in what is now the Gobi desert some 30,000 years ago. The civilization and techniques which made the explosion possible were wiped out. The only survivors were slaves marginal to the area who had no knowledge of its science or techniques. They became albinos as a result of radiation and scattered in different directions. Some of them went into Persia northern India Greece and Turkey. Others moved westward and settled in the caves of Europe. The descendants of the cave-dwelling albinos are the present inhabitants of America and western Europe.

In these caves the white settlers contracted a virus passed down along their cursed generation that was to make them what they are today a hideous threat to life on this planet. This virus this ancient parasite is what Freud calls the unconscious spawned in the caves of Europe on flesh already diseased from radiation. Anyone descended from this line is basically different from those who have not had the cave experience and contracted this deadly sickness that lives in your blood and bones and nerves that lives where you used to live before your ancestors crawled into their filthy caves. When they came out of the caves they couldn't mind their own business. They had no business of their own to mind because they didn't belong to themselves any more. They belonged to the virus. They had to kill torture conquer enslave degrade as a mad dog has to bite. At Hiroshima all was lost. The metal sickness dormant 30,000 years stirring now in the blood and bones and bleached flesh.

I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe ... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. -- From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing. Make them intelligent, and they will be vigilant; give them the means of detecting the wrong, and they will apply the remedy.

So cue the perpetual false flag season? These ISISes can unexpectedly pop up everywhere, right?

By the way, are there any cues from the world's biggest surveillance alliance regarding the funding of these groups? Where do they have the money from for food, toilet paper and bullets?

Anyway, a bit surprised, they're stepping up the game like this, as if they were under pressure a bit.

I kind of expected them to orginaze a longer crackdown period first on folks shouting about false flags, talking about 911 etc. Like France is now trying to ban "terrorist contents" and "extremists" from the internet.

For what it's worth about the TPTB, a Haaretz article with following the title:

Beware: Republican Jews on the warpath

http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/.premium-1.641334

And from today, US to train Ukraine troops?

And for what it's worth about the big brother becoming increasingly obviousl, a segment from the article:

"We, the elders of Zion, pull the strings of Congress, and the congressmen are nothing but marionettes who do our will. If they don’t understand our words, they’ll understand our threats. And if in the past, we ran the show from behind the scenes, now we’re doing it openly, from center stage. And if you forget our donations, the wellspring will run dry."

Evidence suggests that ISIS would not even exist if the USA had not created a huge Jihadist army in Jordan and Turkey trained and armed to go fight against Assad's Syria. In fact, most of ISIS is made up of these recruits that started off as US allies. They took the money, army and training, slipped into Syria, fought a token fight and morphed into ISIS in rapid order. Yet, the USA still arms Jihadists in hopes they will fight Assad's Syria, while most take their pay and guns and slip over to ISIS inside Syria. The evidence for this is solid.

So when we see ISIS used to justify a US black check for war and invasion anywhere at all, with out international approval, regional approval or national approval. This is like an international Patriot Act!

Washington DC is ruled by a tiny elite of 1%'ers, they mostly are unelected think tank members who train neoconservatives toops and send them into the Military, Spy Agencies and State department.

I encourage everyone to google neoconservative and AIPAC. Google them both and spend even a half hour reading. These people command our nation. Not you, not me, not our votes. We are not in control of our nation. A whole different entity rules in the Washington DC whore house.

I know that we are broke and can't really afford it, but I'm telling you that we really need to stay in Afghanistan.  I work in Afghanistan and know it better than anyone, and if we withdraw prematurely, we will pay a heavy price.  You think Iraq is a mess? You ain't seen nothing yet!  We should have never had a large a presence as we did but that is history and we cant change the past.  Afghans can't even wipe their own asses, so we really need to stay for as long as possible.  If our troops can stop providing security for Chinese mining and infrastructure companies, and spend some of that money on US firms (like mine) to get more involved in mining, then we can all benefit from this. Trust me, we do not need to leave in a hurry.  Whats the rush anyways? We are blowing money like there is no tomorrow on all kinds of other bullshit, so why not $4-5 billion for another 10-20 years?  This is chump change compared to what we are spending on other crap.

Turdy you've gone native.  I did it in my youth and felt like a dumbass for it.

Take my advice as an old fart and step back from your situation and look at it.

Cavemen gonna caveman.  Goat rapers gonna goat rape.

We are wasting the lives and (perhaps worse) the minds of of the poor kids the US is conning into becoming "magical warriors protecting the virtue of or our fine country".  The reality is we are sending them to this meat and brain grinder to enrich the producers of war materiel.

Unless we are going to take resources from those we conquer, and we're not, what's the point?  Free security for your endeavors?  Cracka please.

If you are under attack from the air by an enemy beyond your reach, and they announce that if you take a hostage they might send people in to rescue them, is there a better way to engage the enemy (or expose an empy threat) than taking hostages and using them to set up killing zones? The only way that this announcement makes sense to me is if the White House is inviting the taking of hostages in order to provide cover for a reversal of policy.

As I stated last week, here is how this likely unfolds so that the U.S. can have MOAR war and never-ending warfare:

1.  This authorization passes.

2.  Either a U.S. pilot is captured or a search and rescue troop is captured by ISIS.

3.  Said captured troop is then executed in some horific way by ISIS.

4. MSM whips evryone into a frenzy and all out war is declared on ISIS with tens of thousands more american boots deployed to the middle east.

just sayin....

Quite a few weeks ago I said that I'd pity the first US boots on the ground who got captured by ISIS. I had in mind they'd enact some even more medieval method of execution.

And let's be clear, if Obola sends them in, ISIS will go flat out trying to capture an American.

I am a refugee from that group.

The anti-war left was split into the Obama worshippers and those who are actually anti-war.  Those of us who are truly anti-war are now awake to the destruction that is carried out by anyone who believes that it is the job of public servants to project state power over people around the globe.  Unfortunately, once I had this realization, I have realized there are very few people who support government power (whichever flavor of government they happen to support) who have the intention of permitting people to live their own lives peacefully without interference (i.e. liberty).

I, who used to support government as a balance to private capital's greed, now realize that those in government are equally or even more greedy for power than those they have taken it upon themselves to "regulate".

The bill of rights, which was designed against this exact problem, lies in shreds.  When I was a government supporter, I naively assumed that these rights were solid.  Live and learn.  The only way this will end is the forcible removal of power from those who are convinced their system justifies the horrors they are visiting on the world.
