US Blinks: Kerry Says Prepared To Roll Back Sanctions On Russia
Did The US just blink? Perhaps under pressure from Merkel having enough of Obama's "costs", Secretary of State John Kerry just released the following statement...

The United States welcomes the news that the OSCE-led Trilateral Contact Group, supported by Chancellor Merkel and Presidents Hollande, Poroshenko, and Putin, reached agreement on a ceasefire and heavy weapons withdrawal in eastern Ukraine, and on the implementation of the September Minsk agreements. We particularly commend the diplomatic efforts of our European Allies, Chancellor Merkel and President Hollande, and their teams in making this agreement possible. Actions will be what matter now. The first test of this agreement and the prospects for a comprehensive settlement will be the full implementation of the ceasefire and the withdrawal of heavy weapons by all parties – by Ukraine, the separatists, and Russia. All the parties must show complete restraint in the run-up to the Sunday ceasefire, including an immediate halt to the Russian and separatist assault on Debaltseve and other Ukrainian towns.
The parties have a long road ahead before achieving peace and the full restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty. The United States stands ready to assist in coordination with our European Allies and partners. We will judge the commitment of Russia and the separatists by their actions, not their words. As we have long said, the United States is prepared to consider rolling back sanctions on Russia when the Minsk agreements of September 2014, and now this agreement, are fully implemented. That includes a full ceasefire, the withdrawal of all foreign troops and equipment from Ukraine, the full restoration of Ukrainian control of the international border, and the release of all hostages.
We also welcome the news that the Government of Ukraine and the IMF have reached an agreement that will allow the IMF to provide Ukraine with $17.5 billion in financial assistance in support of economic reforms. This agreement will enable Ukraine to continue implementing the reforms it needs to build a stronger, more prosperous, democratic future for the people of Ukraine.
So Crimea, which was not mentioned, and whose "annexation" by Russia so infuriated the western leaders, is Vlad's to keep?

Liquidity would come from economic growth and domestic production, not from borrowing aka printing. The welfare state however would not exist, it would be unaffordable, that would cause a problem for certain folks and for politicos. As a politcician bound by this, they would have to tax their proposed expenditures directly as they spent it rather than putting them off onto future generations. In short, Life would be better for the entire population as the wealth of the Nation would increase throughout all classes.

The Ukrainians didn't and moved even more armor forwards. The OSCE in Donetsk, after several months of shelling, wouldn't say the Nazis were shelling the east. On the other hand, they were certain within hours that the Mariupol false-flag strike was committed by the Novorossian. The West - they hear nothing, see nothing, speak nothing about their Nazi protoges in Ukraine.
This is looks to just be theater and if so it is the EUke's who will pay- again.

The US has to consider easing sanctions. Loss - at first blush. But the US will just create a justification to revive the sanctions or will never remove the US sanctions because Russia does not obide by new requirements dreamed up by the US. Perhaps after boots are in Syria or an attack is initiated on Iran in the very near future. But, the EU may drag it's feet on reinstituted sanctions by the US. Look for France to now cooperate more openly and actively (they already cooperated with the false flag in France) with the US in the ME. And expect Germany to stay silent and lend soft support.
EUke's - Have to once again allow the trapped WUke's to safely withdraw. After their people died regaining the advantage lost due to the previous ceasefire. If after the withdraw the attack resumes, that time the US/NATO will intend to have them overpowered by massive assaults from artillery and missiles. A Huge Loss for the EUke's. (The chance of Putin entering the fight directly was almost nile, and as long as the EU keeps the sanctions off there is no chance at all.)

I just don't see it. Why would Russia trade Syria when they don't need to trade anything it appears? If Russia gives up syria, it gives up leverage in being the gas supplier to Europe. That's half the reason they are even there...not because of Syria but because of Europe. Kiev isn't anywhere near winning in the East and if anything appears to be slowly losing Kiev itself. This is an attempt by the US and NATO to save face IMO as they accomplished nothing so far in Syria and lost part of Ukraine. Staying means they could lose all of Ukraine but I don't see where it gives them any better chance in Syria...do you? With the way Russia has handled the whole game here it would be bizarre for them to completely change their tactics that have proven beneficial so far.

Petro Poroshenko was on TV a few minutes ago saying the rebels launched an attack as soon as the ceasefire agreement had been announced.
Ukraine's govt flat-out refuses to recognise or speak with the rebels, as a legit entity, and the rebels are clearly asserting (with weapons) that there's no ceasefire.
No ceasefire means no sanctions roll-back.

Similarly, these rebels will live to regret passing up a ceasefire opportunity like this, for once the West has tried and exhausted all avenues and the moral high-ground passes to Ukraine, as the legitimate defenders of their own territory, against a completely intransigent aggressive rebel force, they will likewise be totally smashed where they live.
