Fourth Turning: The Shadow Of Crisis Has Not Passed - Part 4

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Jim Quinn via The Burning Platform blog,

In Part One of this article I explained the model of generational theory as conveyed by Strauss and Howe in The Fourth Turning. In Part Two I provided an overwhelming avalanche of evidence this Crisis has only yet begun, with debt, civic decay and global disorder propelling the world towards the next more violent phase of this Crisis. In Part Three I addressed how the most likely clash on the horizon is between the government and the people. War on multiple fronts will thrust the world through the great gate of history towards an uncertain future.

War on Multiple Fronts

“The risk of catastrophe will be very high. The nation could erupt into insurrection or civil violence, crack up geographically, or succumb to authoritarian rule. If there is a war, it is likely to be one of maximum risk and effort – in other words, a total war. Every Fourth Turning has registered an upward ratchet in the technology of destruction, and in mankind’s willingness to use it.” – Strauss & Howe - The Fourth Turning

The drumbeats of war are pounding. Sanctions are implemented against any country that dares question American imperialism (Russia, Iran). Overthrow and ignominious imprisonment or death awaits any foreign leader questioning the petrodollar or standing in the way of America spreading democracy (Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Egypt). The mega-media complex of six corporations peddle the government issued pabulum about ISIS being an existential threat to our freedoms; Russia being led by the new Hitler and poised to take over Europe; Syria gassing innocent women and children; and Iran only six months away from a nuclear bomb (they’ve been six months away for the last fourteen years). Hollywood does their part with patriotic drivel like American Sniper, designed to compel low IQ unemployed American youths to swell with pride and march down to enlistment centers, located in our plentiful urban ghettos.

The most disconcerting aspect of Fourth Turnings is they have always climaxed with total destructive all-out war. Not wars to enrich arms dealers like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, but incomprehensibly violent, brutal, wars of annihilation. There are clear winners and losers at the conclusion of Fourth Turning wars. Leaders mobilize all forces, refuse to compromise, define their enemies in moral terms, demand sacrifice on the battlefield and home front, build the most destructive weapons imaginable, and employ those weapons to obtain victory at any cost.

It may seem inconceivable that war on such a scale will happen within the next ten years, but it was equally inconceivable in 1936 that 65 million people would die in the next ten years during World War II. We valued all the wrong things and made all the wrong choices leading up to this Crisis and during the early stages of this Crisis. The accumulation of unmet obligations, unpaid bills, un-kept promises and unresolved issues will provide the fuel for an upheaval that will shake our society to its core and transforms the country’s direction for the next sixty years. The outcome of the conflict could be tragedy or triumph. Our choices will make a difference.

There will be war on many fronts, and they have already begun. The culmination will likely be World War III, with the outcome highly uncertain and potentially disastrous.

Currency war

With the world awash in sovereign debt, as governments have over-promised welfare benefits, every country is attempting to debase their currency in order to make their debt load bearable. There is one problem with this approach. If every country is implementing the same strategy, it becomes a race to the bottom. Japan is leading the race and is the most likely candidate to cause a catastrophic collapse in the global financial system. The EU and their negative interest rate strategy is crushing the Euro, but not addressing the solvency issue at the heart of the bank-centric European mad experiment.

The depression engulfing Japan, the recession overwhelming Europe, and the rapidly deflating Chinese mal-investment bubbles have dramatically reduced demand for oil, copper, and iron ore. The collapse in demand for oil has caused the currencies of Russia, Venezuela, Mexico and Brazil to plunge. Argentina, Turkey and the Ukraine risk hyperinflation, as their economies are basket cases. The result of rapidly declining currencies is more pain and suffering for the middle and lower classes. As prices rise for food, energy and essentials, the peasants get restless. This leads to anger, extremist parties gaining traction, and ultimately revolution.

Since the end of World War II, the U.S. dollar has been the currency in which all world trade has been conducted. The global oil trade has been settled in dollars. American economic warfare aggression against Russia, China, Iran, and other developing countries has pushed them into closer economic cooperation. The dollar’s domination days are numbered. The current strength of the dollar is only a reflection of the U.S. being the best looking horse in the glue factory. The U.S. economy is the least worst, but will not be de-coupling from the global downturn. The movement of physical gold from West to East is a reflection of a shift in power. U.S. mega-corporations, who get half their profits overseas, face the double whammy of slowing demand and a stronger dollar. The combination will crush their profits and contribute to the coming stock market crash. When Greece exits the EU, the currency wars may lead to real war in Europe.

Class war

As Warren Buffett admitted in an oligarch momentary lapse into truthiness:

“There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.” – Warren Buffett

The meme driving the OWS protests was the 1% versus the 99%. The comparison is misleading. The 1% includes many small business owners, productive professionals, successful physicians, and hard-working entrepreneurs. The true class war is between the .1% and the 99.9%. There is a small clique of bankers, billionaires, corporate CEOs, media moguls, politicians, and their acolytes who represent the Deep State, or invisible government, and control the mechanisms of financial markets through their capture of the system. There is absolutely no question they are winning. It’s hard not to win when the game is rigged in your favor by your fellow .1% cronies. The markets are no longer free. They are manipulated and rigged to benefit the .1% at everyone else’s expense. The wealth of the richest has skyrocketed while the wealth of the rest has fallen since 2009. Real median household income languishing at 1989 levels proves they have been the losers. The next financial collapse initiated by the policies designed to benefit the .1% will push class warfare into the streets. Gated communities and doormen will not save the .1% from the wrath of their victims.

Generational war

A particular dicey war is the war between the older generations and younger generations. In past Fourth Turnings the prophet generation (Boomers) has provided leadership for the hero generation (Millennials). The tension between older and younger generations is palpable. Older generations have accumulated wealth during the good times. The Boomers who didn’t save for their retirement refuse to yield the field and allow Millennials into the workforce. Millions of delusional Boomers utilized the easy debt provided by the bankers to live for today and never save for tomorrow. Well tomorrow is here. The older generations are still going to receive all the social benefits they were promised, while younger generations will get stiffed. They know they are going to get screwed and are unlikely to take the screwing lying down.

It’s the older generations who control the levers of society. The aged ruling class has doled out the hundreds of billions in student loan debt and convinced Millennials College was a sure path to success and good jobs. Working as a french fry jockey at McDonalds doesn’t make the grade as a good job. Young people without jobs and without hope are a particularly combustible concoction. If there is revolution in the streets it won’t be led by obese Boomers on their motorized scooters. The barricades will be manned by the young. Confrontation with the police state may be initiated by Gen Xers and Boomers, but the fighting and dying will be done by the Millennials.

Terrorism/Religious war

The war on terrorism, like the wars on drugs and poverty, is unwinnable. They aren’t meant to be won. They are meant to enrich the vested interests, expand their control over our lives, erode our liberties and freedoms, and provoke fear and dependency among the masses. The terrorist plots concocted by the government, using clueless dupes, and then foiled by the DHS agencies that created them are nothing but a ruse to rile up the easily manipulated hoi polloi. The neo-cons want to leave the Middle East a smoking crater in their thirst for blood. The war on terrorism is a cover for hijacking the oil under the ground in the Middle East. ISIS is now Satan, Hitler, and Attila the Hun rolled into one, even though they didn’t exist a year ago. They are the existential threat of the day – the excuse for U.S. troops and armaments to flow back into Iraq. The military industrial complex profits will surge. Despite the fact these terrorists are no threat to our American way of life, the level of fear mongering amongst the chattering classes in Versailles on the Potomac and on the entertainment news networks is at hyperbolic volumes.

Chris Hedges explains the current propaganda storyline as espoused by the Deep State:

“This sentimentality, as Baldwin wrote, masks a terrifying numbness. [The War Culture] fosters an unchecked narcissism. Facts and historical truths, when they do not fit into the mythic vision of the nation and the tribe, are discarded. Dissent becomes treason. All opponents are godless and subhuman… It holds up the dangerous belief that we can recover our equilibrium and our lost glory by embracing an American fascism.” – Chris Hedges

Somebody needs to inform the neo-cons they don’t hate us for our freedoms. They hate us for occupying their lands, reigning terror on their people from unmanned killer drones, invading their countries, interfering in their political processes, and stealing their oil. Islam is most certainly a religion of hate and there will be no reconciliation between Christians, Muslims and Jews. The Middle East will remain a quagmire of hatred, centuries old animosities, religious extremism, despotic leaders, and oil. Terrorism does not pose an existential threat to the United States. It’s laughable to conclude that a country of 320 million, protected by vast oceans, with a trillion dollar military and 300 million guns distributed amongst its population, is actually threatened by a few thousand illiterate religious zealots in the Middle East.

Terrorism is a tactic used by militant groups unable to wage an insurgency or fight a conventional war. The purpose is to lure a larger enemy into an outsized response, resulting in bleeding and bankrupting the larger foe. Osama bin Laden succeeded beyond his wildest expectations, as the U.S. has wasted $6 trillion thus far, along with the lives of 7,000 Americans and 50,000 wounded. The terrorists have already won. They have put our country on the path to bankruptcy, while convincing our leaders to strip the citizens of their liberties, freedoms, and rights. And there are now more militants and terrorists than existed in 2001, in countries that didn’t have terrorists in 2001. The Middle East is a powder-keg which could be the catalyst for the start of World War III.

Cyber war

A cyber war has been being waged against the American people and foreign allies by the NSA for the last decade. The technology addicted masses are completely oblivious to their loss of privacy and freedom. They don’t know or don’t care their rights under the Fourth Amendment are being abridged. You are being tracked and monitored through your electronic devices. Your TV is recording your conversations. The U.S. has been waging cyber war against enemies and allies alike. The U.S. unleashed the Stuxnet computer virus into the Iranian nuclear program computers to set back their efforts by years. That was an act of war. It is now comical to see the governmental outrage when foreign nations and hacker organizations break into government computers and wreak havoc. In cyber war, the playing field is fairly even. Even North Korea can create problems for a superpower. Obama and his acolytes should duly note that Wall Street hired hundreds of Russian computer programmers because they seem to have a penchant for writing code. I’m sure Putin realizes that too.

Hackers have already caused billions in damage to retailers like Target, Home Depot, Staples, Sears, and Neiman Marcus. Over 1,000 merchants have had their computer networks breached. Hackers could potentially bring the financial system to its knees with a few keystrokes. Foreign governments have their smartest tech geeks probing U.S. computer networks for weaknesses and will act on these weaknesses when they feel it is beneficial to their interests. Technology will not save the world, but it might play a part in ending it. All the military firepower at the American Empire’s disposal may be nothing more than our Maginot Line during the next worldwide conflict. If satellites and computer systems can be disabled through computer code, leaders will be blind, deaf and dumb to threats. This would ratchet up the odds of someone panicking and pushing the wrong button at the wrong time. The future of the world may hang in the balance.

Civil war

It appears this Fourth Turning’s primary driving force will be the internal conflict between government and the people. To linear thinkers, self-proclaimed progressives, corrupt politicians, obedient government workers, and those dependent upon the government for their sustenance, the thought of civil war in the United States is inconceivable. Civil uprisings generally occur after currency collapse when mass hunger and poverty overtake the land. A breakdown in the electronic based economic system in which store shelves go empty, fuel becomes scarce, and the electronic transfer of welfare benefits ceases would create mass chaos in the streets. With our just in time supply chain, a grid failure or breakdown of electronic ordering, payment and communication would bring the nation to its knees within one week. Millions would perish within a few weeks. The government would attempt to utilize the military and national guard to maintain order. With their families also starving and no means of getting paid, will they be obeying the orders of a government that caused the collapse?

The other possibility is secession. It’s been tried before and the conflict was bloody and earth shattering. There really are two Americas. The east and west coasts are dominated by the liberal elite who look down upon the rest of the country. The .1% mostly resides in their gated enclaves, penthouse suites, and luxury beachfront mansions. They have nothing but contempt and disdain for the average American, living in Middle America or the South. The feeling is mutual amongst the working class towards the liberal elites. Most of the 300 million guns are concentrated in the Midwest and South. As trust in government and institutions wanes, the issue of states’ rights is likely to gain traction amongst a large swath of the critical thinking citizenry. The animosity between factions in this country is at historic levels. Again, civil war, secession, and the nation breaking into sectional regions of common interests are unlikely to occur until the existing social order collapses under the weight of un-payable obligations. That time is coming.

Total war

Every previous Fourth Turning climax coincided with total war on a grand scale. Each Fourth Turning war has seen a leap in the technological means of killing human beings. We put a lot of effort and resources into finding better ways to annihilate humanity. The Civil War saw 5% of the male population killed. World War II saw 65 million people killed. How many will die during this Fourth Turning total war of survival? Fourth Turning wars are decisive, final and fought with all necessary means until final victory or defeat, not like Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, or Afghanistan. World War I was savage and brutal, but it was not decisive. It left issues unresolved and its Treaty of Versailles created the basis for World War II. The technological means to put an end to mankind is at the disposal of leaders in a number of nation-states. It would only take one psychopathic despot or elected president of immense ego and self-importance to initiate the doomsday clock. It appears these qualities are now essential to governing a modern day nation. Someone will do something stupid, and then all hell will break loose.

Anyone who doesn’t comprehend the implications of alliances being formed and broken by countries around the globe is either choosing the ostrich strategy or is ignorant of history and the events leading to wars. A thorough reading of The Guns of August may be helpful. The world is like a room full of gunpowder and the sociopaths running the show keep lighting matches. Someone is going to miscalculate and the place is going to blow sky high. The insolvent EU is splintering. The northern countries despise the southern countries. Greece, Spain and Italy are all economic basket cases and their exits will mark the end of this grand experiment in debt delusion. Once the bad debts crash down upon the European banks and governments, the anger, bitterness, accusations and violence will reach epic proportions. This could trigger war, as extremist political parties gain traction. The economic suffering in the 1920’s led to the rise of Mussolini and Hitler. Hunger leads the peasants to rally behind any strong leader.

The Ukrainian civil war, crafted by the U.S. and its weak kneed NATO allies, has been the facilitator of a shift in world alliances. The U.S. has made a blundering attempt to teach Putin a lesson for interfering in their Syrian pipeline uprising against Assad and encouraging the Crimea to rejoin Russia. By attempting to position NATO armaments on Russia’s border they have triggered centuries old fears of being invaded by European powers. Russia will stop the U.S. plan at all costs, and the Russian supported rebels have soundly defeated the Kiev Nazi forces in eastern Ukraine. The U.S. backed forces have slaughtered women and children randomly as they blunder about in eastern Ukraine. The latest cease fire will not hold. Germany and France are coming to their senses and starting to look out for their best interests, rather than the interests of the American Empire. A shattering of the NATO alliance would be an earth moving event and would set the stage for further conflict in Europe. Enemies are interchangeable when you are an imperial power.

The world has begun to devolve into two distinct factions. The imperialist actions of the American Empire in the Middle East and Ukraine have pushed Russia, China, India, Brazil, and Iran closer together regarding trade deals; transacting commerce without using the USD; oil and gas pipelines; and military cooperation. If there is going to be total war in the next dozen or so years, it most surely would be the United States versus an alliance of Russia and China. Japan is experiencing Chinese saber rattling over disputed islands. Russia continuously probes NATO defenses with aggressive actions. It is clear the U.S. has decided Vladimir Putin and Russia is world enemy #1 and are using all their economic and propaganda tools to de-claw the bear. Failure to make Putin bow to American pressure will raise his stature at home and abroad.

China’s domestic, economic and social issues continue to worsen. They are in the midst of experiencing an epic bust after a debt fueled explosion of government manufactured growth. Their fraudulent economic boom is coming to a messy end. Totalitarian regimes are known for using foreign threats to distract the populace from domestic suffering. As a matter of fact, all regimes use this tactic. When the global economy rips apart at the seams due to the debt saturation, world leaders will attempt to blame other countries for their dire circumstances. Foreign enemies are good for business. Ask our Nobel Peace Prize winning President. War is inevitable.

Strauss & Howe pose four potential culminations to our current Crisis, only one of which offers hope. There may be other possibilities, but probably not. The outcome which will not happen is just a continuation of the status quo, with the same corrupt leadership using the same debt based solutions, as they enrich themselves and their cronies. The existing social order will be replaced by something new, but not necessarily better, if there is anything left after a war that could end in Armageddon:

  1. This Fourth Turning could mark the end of man. It could be an omnicidal Armageddon, destroying everything, leaving nothing. If mankind ever extinguishes itself, this will probably happen when its dominant civilization triggers a Fourth Turning that ends horribly. For this Fourth Turning to put an end to all this would require an extremely unlikely blend of social disaster, human malevolence, technological perfection and bad luck.
  2. The Fourth Turning could mark the end of modernity. The Western saecular rhythm – which began in the mid-fifteenth century with the Renaissance – could come to an abrupt terminus. The seventh modern saeculum would be the last. This too could come from total war, terrible but not final. There could be a complete collapse of science, culture, politics, and society. Such a dire result would probably happen only when a dominant nation (like today’s America) lets a Fourth Turning ekpyrosis engulf the planet. But this outcome is well within the reach of foreseeable technology and malevolence.
  3. The Fourth Turning could spare modernity but mark the end of our nation. It could close the book on the political constitution, popular culture, and moral standing that the word America has come to signify. The nation has endured for three saecula; Rome lasted twelve, the Soviet Union only one. Fourth Turnings are critical thresholds for national survival. Each of the last three American Crises produced moments of extreme danger: In the Revolution, the very birth of the republic hung by a thread in more than one battle. In the Civil War, the union barely survived a four-year slaughter that in its own time was regarded as the most lethal war in history. In World War II, the nation destroyed an enemy of democracy that for a time was winning; had the enemy won, America might have itself been destroyed. In all likelihood, the next Crisis will present the nation with a threat and a consequence on a similar scale.
  4. Or the Fourth Turning could simply mark the end of the Millennial Saeculum. Mankind, modernity, and America would all persevere. Afterward, there would be a new mood, a new High, and a new saeculum. America would be reborn. But, reborn, it would not be the same.

I would love to just be an impartial observer during this Fourth Turning, like a sports announcer in a booth far above the field, broadcasting the events as they unfold. But, it is not to be. I’m living in the midst of this Crisis with all the other participants. I’m not happy about the prospect of financial collapse, societal collapse, and war. I have three young sons and refuse to allow them to be used as cannon fodder by the State, in their quest to retain dominion over the American people. I understand the younger generations must do the heavy lifting during this Crisis, but I do not relish the prospect of putting them in harm’s way. It’s not fair they are left with the burdens created by decades of bad choices and cowardly acts of their elders. But no one said life is fair.

This generation was born at a particular time in history when much will be required. They have a rendezvous with destiny. None of us has a choice. We can’t sit this one out. The bad times ahead will require courage, fortitude, sacrifice and intelligence, if we are to be triumphant. This Fourth Turning could end in apocalypse or glory. Our decisions and choices will matter. Prepare now.

“Thus might the next Fourth Turning end in apocalypse – or glory. The nation could be ruined, its democracy destroyed, and millions of people scattered or killed. Or America could enter a new golden age, triumphantly applying shared values to improve the human condition. The rhythms of history do not reveal the outcome of the coming Crisis; all they suggest is the timing and dimension.” – The Fourth Turning – Strauss & Howe

What part of David Pierre's post is wrong?

Hopefully Quinn is writing about Obama using the dominant narrative in an attempt to reach people who still otherwise believe in the 9-11 fiction.

But if not, if Quinn actually believes the Obama 9-11 story, then it throws the rest of his writings into question because, let's face it, the level of intelligence required to pierce the gauzy official narrative of 9-11 is not very high.

Quinn is still plugged into their "Al Queda did it" world through his University pay check, and he cannot go down the truther rabbit hole.  However, for someone to write these kinds of peices vilifying the state while continuing to play along with the charade that the 9/11 commission in some fashion explained what happened is beyond laughable and beyond credulity.  It's like trying to unravel what is happening in Ukraine while pretending the Putin shot down MH-17.

Until Quinn is ready to publicly face the truth about 9/11 all his rants can be tossed into the round "useful idiot" filing cabinet in the corner.

"What part of David Pierre's post is wrong?"

the part where he rants like a rabid psycho.

then you ask him to clarify or provide evidence for what he's talking about, such as:

-how is it "intelectually dishonest"?

-how, specifically, is it "exercise in NeoCon, crypto-ideology."?

but he doesn't reply but instead puts up more ranting, lunatic posts. he's not interested in having a discussion of ideas, he's just interested in ranting like a psycho and fuming and blowing a lot of hot air - in other words, davidpierre is worthless.

you may well be right about quinn having 911 issues, i don't know, but most people don't have the entire story straight about what's going on the world, everyone has their blind spots. that doesn't mean what quinn says has no value, and it doesn't mean that idiots like davidpierre need to be taking up space with long, pointless, windbag posts.

SmokeyQuinn has neither the balls nor the brains to debate 9/11Truth on an open forum where he cannot delete other peoples comments at will.

A direct quote from him...

"It is good that you were able to take time out from the truther sheep fuck convention to develop a sitcom. I hear JFK is on today. You can sit in front of your TV and jerk off to it. Do you have any ideas about detective dads that bring up morons? By the number of thumbs up you received, it appears that the 9/11 truther retards are still onboard. I guess no other sites will have you mongoloids.

The truthers swarmed the site with their bullshit immediately. Anyone who has been on my site for the last two years realizes that if you don’t have facts to back up your argument, I will obliterate you.

I had the facts when Jason Rines pulled the plug on my old site."

This is all many years old information on ZH.

Jason Rines was Quinn's first webmaster, (and who uses 'Raging Debate' as a handle on ZH), pulled the plug on Quinn because he caught Quinn posting as Smokey.

Anyone who has been offended can hit the fucking road.

Then all of the truthers I’ve offended today can quit my site. They can discuss gravity, explosives, jet fuel, video clips of the Pentagon, and how to properly fuck a sheep.

Since you say you were a firefighter, that makes you an intelligent person.

You should really have special insight into the 9/11 towers. You are a bonafide sleuth.

You really have that mystery solved.

Has anyone considered that forcing other countries to unite against the dollar is exactly what the NWO (aka globalists) want?

Based on their actions, the goal is a global police state with one religion, one currency, and no effective critics. For some reason they seem to think that the American people are the last thing standing in their way because we are the last armed citizenry on earth. They see everyone else as sufficiently neutralized and in a holding pattern until Americans have been equally neutralized so that their global plans can move forward safely.

Once one understands this much, everything else makes sense. For example, they need to provoke Americans to start shooting at the government or at each other to justify more police state and disarmament.

Americans don't know their government, media, universities, big corporations, big churches, big health care, and banking are controlled by the NWO, and apparently not all ZHers know that. Instead of hating on Americans, try to understand how pretty much no one could overcome that kind of mind fuck. It explains what is wrong with the people - everywhere.

One thing that tends to wake people up is the 911 Smoking Gun - WTC7.

"The fourth turning" promotes the idea that America's problems are inevitable, when in fact they are by design, and thus the fourth turning is wrong and could even be just more NWO propaganda.

This article also promotes the cause as "neo-cons", but neocons are just Republican Progressives - just as all of the NWO can be described as progressives, and yet this article does not in any way indict progressives.

It has nothing to do with guns.

Pax Americana is a spent, hollowed out shell of it former self.Morally and fiscally bankrupt.

The PTB did exactly the same with Pax Brittanica, before discarding it.There were very few gun laws in

the UK back then. That population was pretty well armed at the time, and it made no

difference to their plans, just as it will not affect their plans here.

TPTB do want a mass depopulation event, and make no secret of it.

We need to rid ourselves of them, before they surely rid themselves of us.

There was also a lot more trust in government back then, no internet, and no sniper kills at 2000 yards. Also, they did not do a mass depopulation back then did they? People might get a little more angry about something like that, and the internet might make it a little harder for them to control the narrative this time.

Whether or not an armed American citizenry would actually make much difference, they are obviously taking actions that indicate they are very concerned about any kind of resistance from the American people. For example, they target small farms, preppers, gun owners, etc. They are obviously perpetrating false flag shootings and trying to provoke armed conflict to justify even more of a police state and disarmament. They are obviously not taking such extreme measures in other countries because they are obviously not as afraid of those populations.

I can see why Brits would claim that guns make no difference and that the NWO doesn't fear an armed citizenry. It would understandably be pretty embarrassing for Brits to admit that they have already been conquered and disarmed by the NWO. Out of such embarrassment, some Brits would thus side against the American people and thereby serve as useful idiots for the NWO.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_beer

"In Mesopotamia, the oldest evidence of beer is believed to be a 6,000-year-old Sumerian tablet depicting people drinking a beverage through reed straws from a communal bowl. A 3900-year-old Sumerian poem honouring Ninkasi, the patron goddess of brewing, contains the oldest surviving beer recipe, describing the production of beer from barley via bread. The invention of bread and/or beer has been argued to be responsible for humanity's ability to develop technology and build civilization."

Sat, 02/14/2015 - 23:21 | 5785798 Radical Marijuana
Radical Marijuana's picture

I believe you are approaching that backwards, SubjectivObject. There never was inanimate matter, except relatively. It is only to the degree that one separates something from its Whole Environment that it appears to be dead. The relative subtraction of the part from the whole is the source of all of these kinds of mistaken ideas! It is difficult to communicate to people who believe that their subtractions are absolute that they are totally wrong about that! However, nothing less is sufficient to address the dilemmas of perception that you are speaking about!

Human beings at the present time perceive everything in the most backward ways possible, while we presume that we are not doing that. Ancient mystics and animists had it intuitively correct all along. When it was demonstrated that inanimate chemicals could be transformed into chemicals that were previously associated with life, such as urea, the MISTAKE was to assert that, therefore, everything was inanimate. The alernative conclusion could have been that everthing was animate.

The historical battle over that issue was paradoxical. Science carved out a space from religion by agreeing that science could study dead things, while religion could continue to be the domain of life. Vitalism was steadily discredited, as science progressed. However, the original ERROR, therefore, got worse and worse.

As I said above, after one sees that ENERGY IS SPIRIT, then the conservation of energy is an approach to all of the previous concepts related to God, etc. ... The whole universe is alive. There is nothing which is not the Whole. Human beings have been subtracting parts from the whole, without perceiving that they were only relatively doing that. Science has paradoxically been expanding its social domain by transforming everything to be dead, while the territory that vitalism had kept on shrinking.

The biggest bullies' bullshit has dominated the philosophy of science, the same as all other social enterprises. Your attitude is that of the typical presumptions of false fundamental dichotomies, where there never was any, and furthermore, the typical approach towards the wrong pole of that false fundamental dichotomy to approach attempts at synthesis.

That applies to politics, and particularly the combined money/murder systems, just as much as to the philosophy of science, which was being presumed mistakenly to be correct, because that world view was consistent with what the biggest bullies wanted to be believed.

One of the most abstract ways that has manifested was that an arbitrary minus sign was inserted into the entropy equations of both thermodynamics and information theory, so that power and information would have relative positive values, instead of relative negative values, which is what the mathematical physics itself revealed was the case.

Most human beings pretty well misunderstand everything in the most backwards ways possible, because the biggest bullies' bullshit world view has dominated natural languages and the philosophy of science. Despite progress in the paradigm shifts made by quantum mechanics and the special theory of relativity, most people continue to presume that they understand the concepts of time and space, while they are almost totally wrong.

The elementary principles of philosophy and spirituality relate to the ways that human beings create a kind of reduced mirror image of the world, by subtracting parts from the whole, and then assembling those parts into stories. They tend to not understand the processes of subtraction, which are never absolute. Therefore, they tend to presume that the relative subtractions are "reality." However, all of those relative subtractions are relative illusions of lies, because no part is ever actually separated from the Whole, nor is that ever possible to actually do.

In those ways human beings operate monetary systems as measurements backed by murders that are misunderstood in the most backward ways possible. The biggest bullies' bullshit world view is promoted as the absolute truth, while that is actually the most extreme forms of dishonesty.

That dishonesty applies to the ways that vitalism was gradually refuted, instead of embraced. There is nothing which is dead, because everything is the Whole, which is the supreme consciousness, and the supreme purpose, since all of its outputs always return as inputs. Fake "rationality" has destroyed genuine spirituality, and subverted the elementary principles of philosophy, because the rulings classes have been engaged in a war against the consciousness of those they ruled over!

Your dilemma is being proposed within the bullies' frame of reference, using their language, which is as backwards as it could possibly be from the truth, because the social systems were based on being able to back up lies with violence, in order to keep most people ignorant and afraid, so that they could be controlled and exploited. Not only do most people understand most problems backwards, but that also means that they the ways that the approach thinking about "solutions" are also backwards!

Social satellite data, and glances at the horizon of history, tell me that there surely are severe social storms going to blow through, as the Fourth Turning! However, spinone, I agree that one can not predict those things all that accurately, just as various weather models often predict quite different paths that various hurricanes are expected to take.

For many of us, we are still sitting comfortably on the beach, unable to fully imagine what it would be like to be on that beach should that end up in the path of a political hurricane. Similarly, tornadoes are quite unpredictable, but they nevertheless happen regularly. One could happen to be the one who was where some sort of sociopolitical tornado touched down, although one probably will not be ... Generally speaking, it is as impossible to imagine social storms blowing over one as it is to fully imagine being in a hurricane. Those realities tend to become quite overwhelming!

Interesting to read,

however, big picture:

We are stuck looking at the past,
to try to predict the future, BUT,
historical cycles were SPIRALS,
that have doubled, & doubled!

Yes, while it's interesting sublime theory
to try to predict future historical CYCLES,
on the basis of previous historical CYCLES,
the degree to which those are BIG SPIRALS
makes all such sublimely theoretical material
look like that is GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATING!

"Each Fourth Turning war has seen a leap in the technological means of killing human beings."

True enough, but nobody actually understands that, except as an academic theory, or an intellectual exercise. The bombs dropped on Japan at the end of the WWII turned about a gram of matter into energy. In general, human beings do NOT understand the advances that a tiny minority of them have made in understanding the laws of nature. Politics continues to be dominated by religions and ideologies that are millennia or centuries old, and so dangerously obsolete that it is practically impossible imagine how criminally insane those have actually become!

"The most disconcerting aspect of Fourth Turnings is they have always climaxed with total destructive all-out war."

True enough, but almost nobody understands that! The few who may approach attempting to asymptotically comprehend how the power of science and technology has become millions, then billions, then trillions of times GREATER during the life time of some of those who are still alive today (while that is headed towards becoming quadrillions, in the foreseeable future, IF civilization survives), are doing something that has no practical point that can be made within current political realities. There are nothing but morbid psychological and political habits, in both those that are the criminally insane rulers, as well as those who have adapted in criminally insane ways to be ruled over.

"The world is like a room full of gunpowder and the sociopaths running the show keep lighting matches."

IT IS MANY ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE WORSE!

"The outcome of the conflict could be tragedy or triumph. Our choices will make a difference. There will be war on many fronts, and they have already begun. The culmination will likely be World War III, with the outcome highly uncertain and potentially disastrous."

As is typical regarding any article republished on Zero Hedge, the article above grossly understates the magnitude of the problems, and so, grossly overstates any possibilities for solutions. I get the impression that Jim Quinn is one of those who likes to keep some irrational hope going, which is only possible as long as one maintains some semblance or form of Hanlon's Razor towards world events, that things were being allowed to happen due to incompetent stupidity, rather than driven by criminally insanity.

While it may well be correct that the vast majority of people who were ruled over have allowed things to happen due their incompetent stupidity, there has been a driving force from the ruling classes actively promoting criminally insane events to happen, in ways which are practically guaranteed to continue to be driven to create the most probable futures. Progress in physical and biological sciences, etc., IS being channeled through social pyramid systems based on the ruling classes being able to control events by backing up lies with violence, while those they rule over make incompetently stupid presumptions that history was somehow happening accidentally, due to overall incompetent stupidity, rather than due to runaway criminal insanities. That mistaken presumption, of defaulting to the comfort of Hanlon's Razor, enables authors like Jim Quinn to not think things through ... I will suggest what happens IF one does think things through in deeper ways (although I recognize there appears no practical point to proposing that, since the vast majority of people will surely continue to deliberately NOT do so.)

The crucial controls are the death controls. The only genuine solutions are to develop better death controls. Doing that after the development of weapons of mass destruction is imperative. However, since the established systems were based on organized crime, surrounded by controlled opposition groups, both of which operated within the same overall frame of reference, since the actual death controls were most successfully done through the maximum possible deceits, there is almost nobody who is publicly significant than different sorts of professional liars and immaculate hypocrites.

The essential paradox is that militarism, or the ideology of the murder system, is the supreme ideology, and it deserves to be so. However, since the maximum social successes were achieved through death controls being accomplished in the most deceitful ways, and that included how the controlled opposition groups also operated within that deceitful frame of reference, all of the still currently dominate religion and ideologies, which are millennia or centuries old, operate in deliberately anti-scientific ways. Hence, we have the grand canyon chasms opening up wider and WIDER, that progress in physical sciences has nothing like that happening in political science.

The primary reasons for that are the almost universal, publicly admitted, attitudes towards death control systems were developed through the history that those were most socially successful when done through the maximum possible deceits, which were backed by destruction, whose triumphs ended up ensuring that there was no other surviving opposition that was not controlled, to cooperate with promoting the basic bullshit about those death control systems. The established systems of organized crime and controlled opposition make genuine progress in political science practically impossible, so that awesome, astronomically sized progress in physical sciences and technologies continues to be channeled through social pyramid systems, based on backing up lies with violence, or, in the case of financial affairs, backing up frauds with force.

The events described as "the Fourth Turning" are the ways that Neolithic Civilizations based on being able to back up lies with violence have been on an exponential growth curve throughout all of human history, as the rise and fall of successive systems of backing up lies with violence, whose original successes later became their downfalls. The social pyramid systems based on being able to back up lies with violence, or enforce frauds, have been pumped up and UP by progress in science and technology to become orders of magnitude greater and GREATER than ever before in human history. However, meanwhile, no significant progress has been achieved in political science, because of the attitudes of evil deliberate ignorance towards the death controls, that back up the debt controls.

IF we are going to survive through this, then the only way that we could is to develop through sufficient intellectual scientific revolutions that would enable paradigm shifts in the ways that we perceive death controls, so that militarism could make quantum leaps forward, in ways which were consistent with the quantum leaps forwards that were achieved through paradigm shifts in physical and biological sciences, and their related technologies. While that is theoretically possible, at the present time, it seems practically impossible, due to the degree to which there is almost nothing which is publicly significant than the established systems of organized crime, and their controlled opposition groups. Guys like Jim Quinn, (as well as practically everyone else who gets articles published on Zero Hedge) tend to be reactionary revolutionaries, who promote some superficially interesting analysis on the shallow levels that they perceive things upon. (Some of the comments are more perceptive, but those tend to never be presented in more systematic ways.)

We have ended up in a situation where governments are the biggest form of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals, while authors like Jim Quinn appear to underestimate that, and so, overestimate the chances that we may survive through the events being driven by those entrenched systems of runaway criminal insanities. That is particularly the case because those kinds of reactionary revolutionaries continue to rely upon thinking using DUALITIES, false fundamental dichotomies, and the related impossible ideals. The reactionary revolutionaries consistently tend to underestimate how criminally insane the ruling classes have become. Moreover, the reactionary revolutionaries tend to not go through the necessary changes, as profound paradigm shifts in the ways that we think about things, in order to embrace how and why militarism is the supreme ideology, since the death controls are the most important controls, as demonstrated by the ways that the death controls back up the debt controls.

The established financial systems are based on ENFORCED FRAUDS, because money is measurement backed by murder. Few people want to perceive those social facts, because those social facts operate through the established social pyramid systems, which are based on organized crime and controlled opposition. From that perspective, I disagree with Jim Quinn's view that: "The world has begun to devolve into two distinct factions." BOTH of the distinct factions that he identifies are social pyramid systems, with their own sets of organized crime and controlled opposition. Those are only superficially different. BOTH share the same basic errors built into their natural languages, as well as share the same basic errors in their philosophy of science. More interesting potential future factions are those that might go through enough intellectual scientific revolutions to develop political science that is more consistent with physical and biological sciences, versus those who continue to not do that, but rather want to continue to believe in the various old-fashioned religions and ideologies which were developed as forms of controlled opposition.

The controlled opposition promotes the biggest bullies' bullshit world view, by promoting the same basic false fundamental dichotomies and related impossible ideals, which actually cause the opposite to happen in the real world, which actually advances the interests of the established systems of organized crime, which makes sense, since, after all, they are controlled opposition groups. Jim Quinn appears to me to be like that, when he quotes "the next Fourth Turning end in apocalypse – or glory."

Actually, the perfection of the conservation of energy will continue. However, so far, that continues to be commonly misunderstood in the most backward ways possible by practically everyone in both the ruling classes, as well as those they rule over. Hence, "triumphantly applying shared values to improve the human condition" tends to be promoted as somehow achieving the impossible ideals based on false fundamental dichotomies. What progress in physical sciences should be driving us to do is develop correspondingly consistent progress in political science. However, doing that requires that the entire social pyramid system of organized crime and controlled opposition be transcended, or perceived in profoundly different ways, through basic paradigm shifts.

In particular, the only way that apocalypse could be somewhat avoided, while some other more glorious future was made possible, would be through better death controls, to back up better debt controls. It would not be good enough for enough people to merely understand how and why the international bankers were able to effectively privatize the powers of governments, as long as the bogus "solutions" were based on returning control of the public money supply to more people, BUT, did not deliberately include also returning control of the public murder system to more people.

The only path to glory is a better murder system. That has consistently been the main thrust of militarism throughout history, and that shall continue to be case, IF human beings are able to adapt to having made real significant progress in physical sciences. Right now, the powers and capabilities, in areas like electronics and atomic energy, have become many orders of magnitude BIGGER than anything before in known human history ... BUT, those are still being channeled through social pyramid systems based on being able to back up lies with violence, so that the death controls are actually being done through the maximum possible deceits, while the debt controls are being done through the maximum possible frauds. In that context, Jim Quinn is another typical example of a reactionary revolutionary, who appears unable or unwilling to go beyond Hanlon's Razor, to more fully comprehend how and why the ruling classes have become as criminally insane as they actually are. The corollary of that failure to engage in a deeper analysis means that he also does not follow through with a better synthesis of superior solutions to the real problems.

At present the Fourth Turning is about the established systems of enforced frauds having doubled and doubled to generate numbers which have become debt insanities, which have no mathematically possible resolutions within the current systems' frame of reference. Instead, since money is measurement backed by murder, the debt insanity situations are headed towards provoking death insanities. To avoid the worse possible apocalyptic scenarios, while instead possibly having a more glorious future, will take profound paradigm shifts in political science, which are consistent with previous paradigm shifts in physical sciences. First and foremost, that means paradigm shifts in the ways that we think about death controls, so that we can develop a better militarism, as the ideology of the murder system.

In my view, Jim Quinn in relatively typical in the ways that he has apparently shied away from looking at the established murder systems. He has apparently been relying too much on Hanlon's Razor presumptions to comprehend the current situation. That is extremely typical throughout those who are reactionary revolutionaries, who do not recognize the degree to which they are controlled opposition, because they presume that the ways that they habitually think is not controlled. On the contrary, I have outlined above what I consider are the preferred UNITARY MECHANISMS to apply to political problems, rather than continuing to rely upon the old-fashioned DUALITIES.

The Fourth Turning IS about runaway debt insanities headed towards provoking death insanities. What I am saying is that the only possibly more glorious future will be through those death insanities perhaps enabling the development of better death controls, which then could back up better debt controls, so that all the rest of human activities were improved, by not being so totally dominated by professional liars and immaculate hypocrites continuing to promote the same old-fashioned bullshit about "triumphantly applying shared values to improve the human condition."

During the previous eras, the periods of collapse into chaos enabled the eventual emergence of some new systems. What I am promoting is that we should face the facts regarding how money is measurement backed by murder, in order that we could develop better combined money/murder systems. However, in order to do that, we have to go through a series of intellectual scientific revolutions in the ways that we perceive political problems, and especially with respect to how we understand and operate the death controls.

The Fourth Turning is surely going to about the runaway debt insanities provoking death insanities. The deeper issues are whether we could go through those relative psychotic breakdowns of the established systems of organized crime and controlled opposition to develop better systems of organized crime and controlled opposition. However, in order to actually do that, enough of the people in the established systems would have to be able and willing to face the facts about themselves. So far, that appears to require such a prodigious series of political miracles as to look practically impossible. However, the events which transpire through the spirals of the next Fourth Turning are going to be forcing more and more people to begin to think about that!

Again, could have simply stated that we all live in massive illusions and saved a lot of typing and unneccassary verbage, to say the same thing ? I don't think Quinn is far off actually. Nobody has it all exactly correct because nobody can possibly know how it will all play out. Most here know we are way past time for a RESET and some kind of major correction or whatever ? But consider all the possible outlier events floating around out there ? and it will only take a few at the right time to bring it all down and all those freebies will NOT be available. That is what we should all be very concerned about here in USSA today ? It is coming one way or the other ! and it will NOT be a good day. All the other crap is just crap. "Nobody has it all exactly correct because nobody can possibly know how it will all play out."

I must agree with that, Down to Eart T. However, I think that the more data points we attempt to integrate into our models, the better those models might become, EXCEPT if we made serious ERRORS with respect to the assumptions that we used to build those basic models.

I repeat myself because I am circling around and around what I regard as some of the profound ERRORS that most people are relying upon when they built their mental models of the world. Those ERRORS then relate through every other possible dots of data, when we are endeavouring to connect those dots into some narrative stories.

Human beings are fundamentally story tellers. My main point is that the dominate stories, therefore, the dominant natural languages, including the dominate philosophy of science, have ALL be victims of the triumphs of the biggest bullies' bullshit.

In that context, I think that guys like Jim Quinn still take too much of the basic bullshit for granted. THE BIGGER PROBLEM IS THAT WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME TO GO THROUGH THE SORTS OF PARADIGM SHIFTS THAT WE SHOULD. "No question we are spoon fed 100% bullshit daily by the sociopaths and psychopaths we call governemnts!" Civilization IS being controlled by that bullshit, and therefore, we are behaving in criminally insane ways, while the consequences from having done that so much, for so long, may overwhelm our ability to learn, since we may be killed by the consequences, rather than survive through that!

I still maintain my basic point that there HAS BEEN significant progress in physical sciences, while practically NONE in political science. I am not sure there ever will be, because I am not sure that civilization is going to survive having become so criminally insane as to develop globalized electronic monkey money frauds, backed by the force from apes with atomic bombs!  My current opinion is that our society has become terminally sick and insane, while there appears no practical point to any political endeavours to ameliorate that, because of the degree to which the majority of people "are spoon fed 100% bullshit daily by the sociopaths and psychopaths we call governemnts!"

I can not effectively compete with the biggest bullies' bullshit, other than to try, in my little way, to point out that is bullshit.

I can not compete with the mass media corporations, nor the history of the public school systems promoting bullshit. I can merely post a few comments on Zero Hedge, and my own Web site, for the tiny, tiny, tiny number of people who may care to read those ...

Yes, DavidPierre, the way that Jim Quinn appears not able and willing to recognized and admit that 9/11/2001 events were inside job, false flag attacks, is the single simplest symbol of the problem that I was discussing more generally.

Hanlon's Razor provides interpretations of 9/11 that are not consistent with all the facts. Generally, most people who want to rely upon Hanlon's Razor are not able and willing to go through the severe cognitive dissonance that they would have to go through to comprehend the magnitude of the ways that the ruling classes are criminally insane. Collectively, the banksters are a group of trillionaire mass murderers!

Another long diatribe to state the obvious. I will take just one issue, that you consistantly hammer home, religion.  I say relegion has been hijacked by the cronies, to control the masses.

It is really quite simple, love thy neighbor, treat others and you would treat yourself, and the the 10 commandmemts, are all one has to adhere to, to have a better world. Atheists, Islam, etc would beg to differ about that, but the Christian religion, if interpreted properly, would serve us all. I am not saying create a govt theocracy, but if all of mankind had the thinking of Jesus Christ, there would be no need for evil and corrupt governments. It is satan and his minions, that distort, lie and grub for money.

While most of the rest of what you say may be true, it would behoove you to use the KISS principle, as most people get half way through your concise writings, and their eyes roll up in the back of their heads.

The problems and misery of the world are created by Lucifer, and his secret societies! Without these secret cabals, this money/murder theorem you put forth could not happen.

I am sure the downarrows will fly on this one, but it is my belief in Jesus Christ, that carries me forward every day. Everything else is irrelevant, for we will ALL DIE one day. The material wealth is but a fleeting thing, that can tarnish, corrode and be stolen in the blink of an eye,

It does not have to revolve around money/murder, as it currently does, that is where we diverge Radical, as you wrote:

What I am promoting is that we should face the facts regarding how money is measurement backed by murder, in order that we could develop better combined money/murder systems.

So, you want a better money/murder system? Hogwash...

Unix, the deeper levels of social facts are NOT obvious to many people, who still believe in the biggest bullies' bullshit social stories. In my view, your old-fashioned religion is another form of controlled opposition. However, since you are that kind of religious fanatic, I am sure that you would not be open to any better discussions of how religions evolved from ancient mysticism, while getting almost totally inverted and perverted along the way.

Your apparent understanding of "Christ Consciousness" is, to me, another classic example of that, whereby you totally do not get it, precisely to the degree that you believe that you do!

You assert that: "The problems and misery of the world are created by Lucifer, and his secret societies!"

I say that the source of those things is that human being operate by subtracting parts from the Whole, and then inverting that, to think that the parts are supreme, rather than the Whole being supreme.

Desire creates our universe, as a package deal. We are like whirlpools or tornadoes, a tube of flesh, which is made of infinite loops through the environment of flows of energy, including both energy and matter. From that perspective, we are NOT the drop of water, nor the whirlpool appearing to take form in the ocean, we ARE the ocean.

From that perspective, we were never born, and never die. All apparently finite forms are toroidal vortices in the flows of energy. The biggest bullies, including their controlled opposition groups, like the Christian religions, deliberately misrepresent the spiritual truth in the most backward ways possible. In that context, from a sublime point of view, I find the degree to which your Christian religion psychosis is the most backward with respect to Christ consciousness that it could possibly be.

You are promoting a belief that you yourself do not deeply understand, nor are willing to appreciate how intensely paradoxical such a belief becomes. You are not taking Christ consciousness any more seriously than you are taking the principle of the conservation of energy more seriously. Since you are so utterly drowning in the certainly of your bullshit, you are not able to perceive the paradox that every possible human story about finite things MUST necessarily be some relative bullshit.

You want your cake and to eat it too, in the sense that you want some supreme infinite Christ, while you also want to push your weight around in the finite world by making value judgments about other people. The better money/murder system that I am speaking about is one which emerges from the view that Energy IS Spirit.

From a sublime point of view, I find it amusing to regard the degree to which you do not want to understand that, while you arrogantly promote religious fanaticism based on the magical world "Christ."

The Word "Christ," like the Word "God" is a supremely paradoxical as the Word "Energy." They work as place holders for INFINITY, inside of relatively finite statements. Ironically, religious fanatics have too little sense of humour about themselves to be able to appreciate how they are doing that. They change gears back and forth from the INFINITE to the finite, without noticing nor caring that they are doing that. They want to throw around and enforce finite perceptions, while they simultaneously want to assert that those are backed up by the infinite. In as sense, that is normal for human beings do do. We tell stories by subtracting parts from the Whole, and then assembling those parts into our narratives. We tend to assert as much as possible that our stories are the absolute truth, when they were ALL originally based on relative subtractions, and therefore, every "part" was a relative illusion, or a relative lie, and every story made of those parts is also therefore relative illusions and lies.

From an abstract point of view it is sublimely amusing how typical it is for people who are asserting that they are religious do not have a clue about the mystical enlightenment and spiritual experiences that were the original source of that religion. Mostly, the Bible is the psychotic bullshit of bullies, which has reversed the meaning of almost everything. That is pretty well the case with all of the other dominant religions, which are almost all forms of controlled opposition in service to the biggest bullies, whose behavior is to maximize the assertions that their own stories are the absolute truth, while they back those lies up with the most violence.

From a sublime point of view, it is intelligible how and why energy systems selected for the most dishonest and violence people to control civilization, and therefore, for human events to follow the paths of least morality. Meanwhile, the ways that people like Unix think about that makes sure it gets even worse, because they promote the most intolerant view of tolerance, as well as project all the possible blame for everything onto others!

C'est la vie!

Yes, Eeyores Enigma, it is quite the intense dilemma we are caught in, given that we were born within the established systems!

What I am asserting takes place within a radically different frame of reference, such as when I begin by asserting that Energy IS Spirit, and We ARE That.

Death controls are quite a bit different to those who make greater uses of information, and therefore, are enabled to have higher consciousness towards the apparent perceptions of relative death controls.

To only switch paradigms half way is like compromising between the view that the Earth is flat, to the view that the Earth is round, by saying that we should agree that the Earth is a big cube. The same sort of problem shows up with respect to changing the paradigms regarding death controls.

Switching half way is NOT good enough! What you seem worried about, and quite rightly so, is what happens if people change their paradigms regarding death controls only half way ... which may become worse, rather than better!

Yeah, aleph0, I like Deek Jackson's stuff. However, I think he is too materialistic, and therefore, still too much of a reactionary revolutionary.

But nevertheless, within the finite parameters of my world, I have long ago already decided that "You Are Already Dead." Or, that, as the Zero Hedge mascot line says, we are all going to be dead.

However, I tend to believe in the view that Energy Is Spirit, which provides a sort of transcendental hope, as well as manifests through all finite affairs the ways that the principle of the conervation of energy is the best approach towards understanding everything that can be made more of less intelligible.

I do NOT think that Jackson makes enough of creative synthesis of ancient mysticism with post-modernizing science. Therefore, he continues too much to rely upon false fundamental dichotomies between the ruling classes and those they rule over. On the contrary, I think that the solutions are to transcend those false fundamental dichotomies, by applying unitary mechanisms.

Jackson still tends to go to the wrong poles to establish false unities. He continues to take too much of the dominant natural languages' built-in presumptions for granted, as well as continues to presume that there are not enormous errors in the dominant philosophy of science. Since he basically continues to rely upon mistaken DUALITIES, which he is still taking for granted, his general approach is that of a typical reactionary revolutionaries.

But nevertheless, his presentations are relatively amusing, and his assertions of facts mostly correct, within the context that he is asserting them, although, on deeper levels he is yet lost in the Bizarro Mirror World maze, taking too many of the perceptions of things being backwards for granted!

The universe is already perfect, because human beings already can not create energy out of nothing, nor send energy to nothing. We are developing energy systems in the only ways that are possible, along the paths of least resistance, which in human terms are the paths of least morality. That all comes as a necessarily packaged deal, with the best and the worst stuck together!

Every previous Fourth Turning climax coincided with total war on a grand scale. Each Fourth Turning war has seen a leap in the technological means of killing human beings.

So, what about the technology for killing people immediately after the fall of the Roman Empire?  Because I'm pretty sure that they had some cool shit for causing mayhem before then, then, not so much for a while afterwards.  How long did it take for the end of the bronze age to turn into the iron age, and then how long did it take before we got to pattern welded weapons?  I'm pretty sure that wasn't overnight either.  Yes, history is often cyclical, but boiling it down to hard rules can be folly.  This fourth turning stuff fits with the trends today, and perhaps for the past thousand or fifteen hundred years.  Sort of.  Kind of.  Well enough to make some inferences that are probably useful.  But it does not fit with deeper history.  If anything, what the author describes as turnings is a cycle within a cycle within a cycle, any one of which can be broken by an unexpected event.

The percentage brush is unable to care for the structure it's applied to. A helpless, sketchy attempt to inform what makes stress.

Considering some figures.

Everybody should be in the knowing how much the percentage picture is a makeshift solution in where truth doesn't feel to much confined.

To go on and to use such ad-hoc estimation for the always searched nevertheless must thus be considered as an act of demagogy.

The thing with the generation lacks the respect of the former coating.
Paint it over the percentage layer and that effort is off.

Then there is war, terrorism yup, and Religion. Where to put their colors on the already over painted subject.

If getting in not to foreclose troubles at work, we luckily then have the "we", the all-in-one color applicable to each sort of enlightenment. Where to put it than to the places that do not look much convincing.

Without expressing it explicitly, the composition itself supplies the most convincing surplus to the point the we-it percentage cult furred in generations and boiled by wars and religions won't end well.

The following snippet from a longer analytical assessment, Third Party Nations: Partners and Targets [Approved for Release by NSA on 09-26-2007] tells a tale which is accurate and most probably a quite terrific paranoia and valid enough cause of present and future concern …..

Whether or not the U.S. has entered a phase of absolute decline there is little question that the U.S. will cease to act as military policemen for the entire world. Certainly U.S. dominance in the Far East is no longer a rational possibility. For the purposes of Sigint planning. it needs to be recognized that Japan, China, and even India are as likely to be competitors as allies in the twenty-first century, perhaps earlier; that powerful forces within the Soviet Union are attempting to move the USSR away from military confrontation with the U.S.; that the economic/political division of Europe engendered by post-WWII East-West rivalries is coming to an end; that global problems of overpopulation, with consequent atmospheric and terrestrial pollution and international competition for increasingly scarce resources, are likely to be the dominant international concerns after the year 2000.

One submarine on either coast ends the whole charade.  We have been warned.  Why do you think the story of Vasili Arkhipov has hit the public consciousness?  Why do you think Russian Bear bombers are flying off our coasts? Why do you think the Topol-M ICBM’s sitting atop their mobile launchers have been pulled out of their hardened garages and are now running around on the back roads of Siberia?  We are being warned.

Whoever thinks that going to war with a hardened cold warrior in the last decade of his relevance is a good idea is an idiot.  I shudder to think that this grand scheme may in fact be some manifestation of the Cloward Pivin hypothesis that the society must be utterly destroyed so that it can be rebuilt along the lines of some socialist’s wet dream.  Whether this trajectory is by design or default, if continued, the result will be a dark age.

We have after all placed a man at the pinnacle of power who despises the very foundations of American culture.  Make no mistake this man hates what he sees as the descendants and beneficiaries of the slave holding class.  He reviles those that cling to their Bibles and their guns.  He wants to rebuild America in his own image.  Therefore, he may deem it necessary to destroy it.

The neo-cons want to leave the Middle East a smoking crater in their thirst for blood. The war on terrorism is a cover for hijacking the oil under the ground in the Middle East.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Somebody needs to inform the neo-cons they don’t hate us for our freedoms. They hate us for occupying their lands, reigning terror on their people from unmanned killer drones, invading their countries, interfering in their political processes, and stealing their oil.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Patently wrong. They do hate us for our culture. It’s that simple.

And how’s that hijacking of oil for the last 70 years gone for us? We’ve filled they’re coffers with money, so they don’t need to work, and can lay about all day, naval gazing, feeling sorry for themselves, plotting their selfish vendettas.

We went with the guys who were the top bosses decades ago. What else could we do? These arabs would rather fight than fuck, as my old man would say.

Drain the swamp. Thorium.

Terrorism does not pose an existential threat to the United States.

" The Boomers who didn’t save for their retirement refuse to yield the field and allow millennials into the workforce" UTTER BULLSHIT!

First: The 'large telecom' I work for has surplussed thousands. My group went from over 100 to 9. Not one whining millennial hired in to take their place. Some were hired into a different area but not in the numbers comparable to those surplussed. Multi story buildings emptied by their layoffs. Yet it's the boomers keeping the mistreated millennials from having a Yob.

Second" Let's just say they would hire these poor broke PhD millennials for argument sakes. What are the 'geezers' supposed to do.... starve? Many of those geezers have saved like they were told to by the same assholes that now offers ZIRP and inflation. No one here at ZH surely believes the 1% inflation and other pure bullshit  and lies coming from government.... or do they? Sometimes I wonder. Apparently the unskilled millennials and authors like this do. Surely they don't want Grandma to step aside and starve so they can have a minimum wage Yob...... or do they?

The author adds to the generational conflict as much or more than the PTB he accuses.

To the millennials and other cry babies......HERE'S THE SKINNY....

1: THE JOBS WERE SHIPPED OFF TO ASIA BY THE GREEDY CORPORATIONS WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE USSA GUBBERMINT (GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA AND SOON TPP). GREEDY AS IN APPLE, WHERE YOU HAVE NO PROB BUYING THEIR CRAP MADE IN CHINA........ NO!!!  GRANDMA IS NOT 'STEALING' YOUR YOB!

2: GET OUT OF YOUR BASEMENTS LIVING OFF OF THE GRAMP'S YOU WANT STARVED AND PROTEST AT THE GOVERNMENT SEAT IN THE DISTRICT OF CRIMINALS. MUST BE MORE THAN TWO PROTESTERS...   otherwise... If you don't want to force government to return those dirty menial jobs where skills and work are required than STFU

Hard to believe the reality of all this but it is the paradigm we live in. Our leaders knew this & have tried to obfuscate the hideous ugly truth via all the usual methods. Be it, Manufactured Consent via LameStream media, Agitprop, Bogus Polls lilke "PEW Research" (which roots were Sunno Oil related to standard Oil & Rockafeller) to forge a pixelated composition of consent for a contrived normalcy bias psychology, bogus "AnalCyst" reports & white papers of fabricated pseudo science & pseudo research data, "Stink Tank" reports of obvious bias pushing or validating an agenda, Social Hacking, Trools, dis / mis information, Conspiracy Theorist's monikers to maginalize critical thinkers & real leaders, villifying truth, race baiting ignorant & indolent citizens, psychotronic weapons etc. et alia. All of it in totality. America got too full of itself w/ Millenials, Gen Xer's, lost Latch key kids who forgot their roots, ability to think independant or skillsets to survive vs. Uncle Sam's heroin entitlement programs or scamming / exploiting a corrupt system in place & abilities use their frontal lobes for critical thinking vs. programming etc. Change is coming & past the rubicon fringe into a new frontier. New Archetypes will emerge from the spoils of War & adversity. It's the nature of things.

March 10th 2008 @ around 11:00am Bear Stearns time New York City, was the start of the end game which is, for all intents and purposes, a zero sum game for the entire World with regard to Neo-Classical Economic Theory, Equilibrium Economics, and life as we know it. The take down of Bear Stearns was intentional and purposeful in terms of human nature to hoard wealth. Consolidation of wealth has transpired

unremittingly since that time which has translated into a complete retraction from market activity across the board. The Hegelian Spiral of death has taken over all market activity from Wall Street to the ports

and supply chains of North America. Everything is set to literally explode into complete abject anarchy and war throughout the entire World due to the miscalculations of Alan Greenspan, Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, Phil Graham, Levant, Clinton, Reagan, Thatcher, Sachs, Freidman, et cetera. There will be no recovery from a World decent into all out chaos and World war. As soon as the nukes get launched it's GAME OVER. Moreover, not one single mind in the entire God damned World can come up with a quarter to INSERT

into the MACHINE to start another round of the game of CASINO CAPITALISM that the MAFIA still wants to play. In brief, Fidel Castro was right to govern via the principles of Socialism for a country that had been hijacked by collusion. The USA must do as Fidel Castro did

to rid America of vested interests.

MU go watch the BBC film Threads.  After the nuclear holocaust we have nuclear winter.  Those that survive both will be consummate predators with a taste for long pig.  The social order will consist of marauders pillaging what’s left for a can of beans.  Socialism might be discovered a few centuries later.

Just touched down on the south island of new zealand on the weekend.

Offer on a 5 hectare fruit and veg farm has been accepted.

Brought in a big sack of gold, declared it, no taxes nor questions asked.

Internet works just fine so I can continue to run my businesses from here.

There is no further away from this bullshit I can get so I now officially stop giving a fuck.
