In Thirst For War, Sen. Inhofe Releases Fake Photos Of Russian Troops In Ukraine

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

Members of the Senate Armed Services Committee first viewed the graphic pictures in December. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.) then obtained the photos and worked to independently verify and confirm the authenticity of the photos, before providing them exclusively to the Free Beacon.

Inhofe said he hopes the images act as a wake up call to the Obama administration and American people, who largely have been spared from seeing the graphic violence inflicted upon Ukraine by the Russian-backed separatists…

Following publication of this story, serious questions have been raised about the authenticity of some of the photographs provided by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.). Several images of the Russian convoys appear to have been taken in 2008, during Russia’s conflict with Georgia. Given the similarities between the earlier images and those provided by the senator’s office, the Washington Free Beacon is investigating further and will update as necessary.

Sen. Inhofe said in a statement: “The Ukrainian parliament members who gave us these photos in print form as if it came directly from a camera really did themselves a disservice. We felt confident to release these photos because the images match the reporting of what is going on in the region. I was furious to learn one of the photos provided now appears to be falsified from an AP photo taken in 2008.

– From the Washington Free Beacon’s article: Updated: Provenance of Photos Showing Atrocities Questioned

Wondering just how similar the images were?

This is absolutely incredible. Incredible.

First of all, I don’t claim to have any idea about what is happening in Ukraine. Many people out there feel obligated to pick a side, but I can promise you that 99% of them don’t actually have a clue. I don’t think there are many “goods guys” on either side of this fight, and my assumption is that both sides are lying as much as possible. It’s a very sad situation, but very few people really knows what’s going on. That’s why I don’t comment on it much.

I wish I could say the same thing for United States Senators, you know, the people who actually play an important role in deciding when the country goes to war (that is, when Obama decides to consult them).

In his best attempt to impersonate war crazed Senator John McCain, Sen. Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma released photographic proof of Russian solders in Ukraine in order to push forward his bill to provide U.S. arms to Ukraine. Or so he thought…

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

Inhofe’s bill to arm the Ukrainians is sponsored by at least 16 other leading Republicans, including Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), John Cornyn (Texas), Marco Rubio (Fla.), and Tom Cotton (Ark.).

The bill would authorize the United States to send lethal weaponry and require Obama to provide Congress with a “comprehensive strategy” to support Ukraine going forward.

The new evidence could help bolster the case on Capitol Hill for a new piece of legislation that would enable the United States to provide lethal military aid to the Ukrainians, who have been asking America for such support for months.

The pictures were taken between Aug. 24 and Sept. 5 in the midst of a Russian-backed incursion into Eastern Ukraine. The fighting has only grown more bloody in the ensuing months, as hundreds more Russians enter the country, according to congressional sources briefed on the conflict.

Members of the Senate Armed Services Committee first viewed the graphic pictures in December. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R., Okla.) then obtained the photos and worked to independently verify and confirm the authenticity of the photos, before providing them exclusively to the Free Beacon.

Inhofe said he hopes the images act as a wake up call to the Obama administration and American people, who largely have been spared from seeing the graphic violence inflicted upon Ukraine by the Russian-backed separatists.

There’s just one slight problem here. Some of the photos are totally fake, and are actually from Russia’s 2008 conflict with Georgia. More from the Washington Free Beacon:

UPDATE 3:11 P.M.: Following publication of this story, serious questions have been raised about the authenticity of some of the photographs provided by Sen.

This doesn’t change the fact that there is plenty of evidence Russia has made advances into the country with T-72 tanks and that pro-Russian separatists have been killing Ukrainians in cold blood.”

This is simply unbelievable, and further proof that U.S. “leadership” has absolutely no idea what they are doing. Very dangerous. The Daily Caller put it quite well:

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) released photographs Thursday of what he says is confirmed Russian military action against Ukraine. He gave them “exclusively” to the Washington Free Beacon.

Except there’s just one problem — some of the photographs given to WFB from the 80-year-old senator date back to 2008 from the AP and aren’t exclusive at all.

The WFB points out that the photographic evidence could be pivotal in convincing Congress to back legislation that would give military assistance to the Ukranians. They say Inofe worked “independently” from Congress to verify the authenticity of the photographs.

Independently, meaning his office forget to do basic online image searches.

Inhofe, of course, bashes President Obama, saying he’s “slow to recognize” what is happening around the world.

But maybe it’s a certain Oklahoma senator who needs to take a class at the local Apple store.

You can’t make this stuff up. Further proof to not believe anything the government says, and to not start anymore wars.

not "we"...."they"....We have nothing to do with all this shit.  It's these sociopathic pscyhos who do this shit in our name and at the expense of our lives and freedom and wealth.  I guess our votes give them consent.  I don't vote for them.  I won't vote for any of them.  I wish everyone would do the same thing and stop voting for anybody.  I'd love to see that day.  Then the "WE" rise up and fuck these motherfuckers up.  That's what I'd like to see.

They do not seem to worry about there own country, why stick your nose in another countries buisness.  WHAT GIVES THESE SICK MOTHER F'ER'S THE RIGHT TO SAY ONE GOD DAMN WORD ABOUT WHAT GOES ON IN THE UKRAIN? On the contrary. It's all about business.

The gas and oil pipeline business and the business of making Russia a third rate power unable to challenge US hegemony around the globe.

I believe the theory at play here is, that if you ain't the lead sled-dog, then the view never changes.

It calls into question everything else he posts about, like his idea that there's a secret "war" between bankers and the military instead of the far more obvious conclusion that they're two sides of the same coin.

He's either a moron or a troll, which really makes no difference at this point; either way, he's full of shit. This site could use an ignore feature so we'd have the option of filtering out the posters who do nothing but crap out nonsense.

The U.S. ~does~ actually have 'business' in this fight.   Agriculture, NG and Biden's kid - but those are ancillary components.  It has been (documented) U.S. policy for nearly 2 decades, to 'contain' Russia.   Following that, 'regime change'.   Following that, encirclement and containment of China.   Alas, the best laid schemes of mice and politicians are obviously coming apart at the seams, but they're not stopping.   The sheer arrogance that comes about only from lack of a good ass-beating, emboldens them.

The largest empire the world has ever seen took part in a scheme to encircle the rising industrial power of Germany after 1906 and destroyed itself, destroyed the Russian Empire, destroyed France and the USA dappled in Europe nation-building and then disappeared from the scene.

The British then jumped in again turning themselves into a bankrupt country with bread rationing and furniture rationing and no bananas to make sure Hitler didn't keep Poland and simply handed it over to Stalin.

Two world wars cost Britain an empire and national solvency and handed Europe on a plate to Communism

Not a military plate.  It's a temporary plate - the yellow bar on the right shows the expiry date.  Either it's shopped, or some soldier's idea of a joke. Pretty clean compared to everything else in the photo, but it could have just been put there for the shot. Definitely out of place.  Almost like you were meant to find it.

the EU uses ISO 8601 standard for dates (year, month, day), which makes that Sept. 11, 2013.   Weird, no?

Plate was issued in Borken, North-Rhine-Westphalia, another curious coincidence:

http://www.historytoday.com/richard-cavendish/treaty-westphalia

yet another curiosity - if you take the registation number as a date in ISO format, then 04-4-15 is the date of the most recent total lunar eclipse, ie, the blood moon.

Grist for conspiracy mill?

Or pure coincidence?

USA is not going to war in Ukraine

This is a strange comment.  Do you think the video released a week or two ago of the guy with a clear American accent (at the very least native English speaker) was false?  That's the only way your statement can work.  Because if that video is true, at least one western soldier is already at war on the ground.  And there's never just one roach...

If you want to say that that video was a fabrication of Russian propaganda, then maybe.  That possibility is still on the table.  If so, it was a brilliantly subtle piece of work.  Propaganda is rarely so subtle.

Speacking of which, I am leaning the other way regarding the video shown within the past week of the woman in east Ukraine countering the draft officer.  That particular video smells to me like Russian propaganda.  Almost no subtlety in there at all.  She hit just about every possible Russian talking point she could have.  I would love to believe she is for real.  She spoke a lot of good things.  But too good to be true, I think.

etm1, Krieger is pointing out the danger of lies and wars, and how Putin is skillfully navigating his country through treacherous waters. Unlike the venal frauds we're stuck with, who make decisions that increase their own personal power and wealth at America's and our expense and peril, everything Putin does is in the interest of Russia. That's why he can keep his cool and our schemers are always in wild hysterics and trading weapons like marbles hoping they'll get it right for once.

Lies have been routinely used to lead America to war.  The Nobel Prize Winner lied about sarin in Syria to almost start a war as Seymour Hersh revealed.  Here are lies that have been used to start wars in the land of the free:

5. WWI (Wilson, 1917) — Lies: Join Europe to “Make the World Safe for Democracy.”  Truth: Wilson was convinced to join by US and European industrialists who wanted to sell munitions and guns to the allies, and get paid when they won.

6. WWII (FDR, 1941) — Lies: Defend the US from unprovoked attacks by Japan. Truth: FDR wanted to help his pal Winston Churchill, so poked Japan until he got his “incident.”

7. Korean (Truman, 1950) — Lies: Defend America. Truth: Truman and the Generals wanted a reason to have troops in the Far East area of our Empire.

8. Vietnam (Kennedy, Johnson, 1964) — Lies: Johnson said Vietnam attacked our ships in the Gulf of Tonkin in August, 1964. Truth: The US didn’t want to lose the southeast Asia region, and its oil and sea lanes, to China. This “attack” was convenient.  Kennedy initiated the first major increase in US troops (over 500).

9. Gulf War (G.H.W. Bush, 1991) — Lies: To defend Kuwait from Iraq. Truth: Saddam was a threat to Israel, and we wanted his oil and land for bases.

10. Balkans (Clinton, 1999) — Lies: Prevent Serb killing of Bosnians. Truth: Get the Chinese out of Eastern Europe (remember the “accidental” bombing of their embassy in Belgrade?) so they could not get control of the oil in the Caspian region and Eastward.  Control land for bases such as our huge Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo, and for the proposed Trans-Balkan Oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea area to the Albanian port of Valona on the Adriatic Sea.

11. Afghan (G.W. Bush, 2001) — Lies: The Taliban were hiding Osama. Truth: To build a gas/oil pipeline from Turkmenistan and other northern ‘xxstan’ countries to a warm water (all year) port in the Arabian Sea near Karachi (same reason the Russians were there), plus land for bases.

12. Iraq (G.W. Bush, 2003) — Lies: Stop use of WMDs — whoops, bring Democracy, or whatever.Truth: Oil, defense of Israel, land for permanent bases (we were kicked out of Saudi Arabia) to manage the greater Middle East, restore oil sales in USD (Saddam had changed to Euros).

13. Possible Iran War (Obama, 201?) — Lies: They almost have an atom bomb; they are a threat to Israel; major killer of our troops in Iraq. Truth: Control their oil, defend Israel, and restore oil sales in USD only (they changed to add Euros and others).  We created the regional conflict and shouldn’t be surprised that all neighbors (including our “friends” in Saudi Arabia) are helping Iraq. We exaggerate the threat to Israel, especially as Iran has allowed inspections and Israel has not.

there is a very clever article on SOTT

Ten reasons why we should celebrate the inevitable nuclear holocaust

http://www.sott.net/article/292545-Ten-reasons-why-we-should-celebrate-t...

Our leaders are eager to escalate a conflict that could very easily spiral out of control. So why not embrace the inevitable?

A hundred years ago, the world "sleepwalked" into the First World War, the war that wiped out an entire generation of Europeans. Aren't we repeating the same sleepwalking march again, this time with even deadlier consequences? The recent baiting and bullying of Russia and the Russian-speaking population of Eastern Ukraine; the proposals in Congress to supply lethal military aid to Ukraine coupled with the Defense Secretary nominee's enthusiasm for such help, all indicate a major dysfunction of rationality.

Russia has been sending signals that it is not backing off from this conflict, that the situation in Ukraine is too important to its national security. Recent signals of Russia's resolve include its reformulation of its military doctrine that views NATO expansion into Russia's neighborhood as the major threat; and the view of US policy in Ukraine as a proxy war against Russia.

While some scholars and journalists point to the possibility, if not inevitability, of the all out war, major news outlets prefer to underreport the depth of the conflict, treating it as something farcical rather than tragic. Maybe the press and politicians have the point? After all, how can a possible war with a nuclear-armed rival be serious? So let's learn from our political leaders and stop worrying. We might as well die laughing:

10. In regular wars, common people die in the trenches while those who send them there spend their time giving speeches at luncheons and making TV appearances. By contrast, a nuclear war will put everyone in the same boat. We, the people, should all rejoice in the fact that we'll finally witness the examples of personal courage and leadership provided by our brave politicians. To see a politician putting his money where his mouth is, is one of the greatest joys of citizenry. For many true patriots, it is a joy worth dying for.

9. A nuclear war will provide great satisfaction for messianic nations that take offense at America's self-proclaimed status of "exceptional" and "indispensable." The US's status as the only nation that had used nuclear bombs against civilians will no longer be exceptional.

8. Americans can celebrate the efficiency of their Congress that is frequently accused of not being efficient. The politicians who are voting for providing lethal military help to Ukraine are successfully killing two birds with one stone. (Maybe all the birds with one nuclear explosion, but that's beside the point). These two significant birds are: 1) the end of Russian aggression and expansion, and 2) the problem of impending climate catastrophe. Drastic reduction of populations of US and Russia, whose carbon emission per capita are the highest in the world, will surely reverse global warming. Talking about inefficient congress? Sheer nonsense. They really take care of things. Please write to your congressman that you intend to celebrate their achievements ... while you can.

7. George Soros, who at the ripe old age of eighty feels that he hasn't accomplished enough, and thus decided to get engaged in geopolitics, should immediately establish a Soros War prize, modeled on Nobel Peace Prize. Among the candidates might be New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, known for his brave new slogan, "Give war a chance"; or the French intellectual Bernand-Henri Lévy, who travels around the world demanding its leaders to bomb various naughty countries; or the influential American political scientist and world-class hawk Zbigniew Brzezinski, who wrote in 1997 that "without Ukraine, Russia ceases to be a Eurasian empire, " thus giving Russia one more reason to fight for its survival. Yet, strong as these candidates are, I think that the War Prize should go to President Obama, so that we all can celebrate another of his "first time in history achievements"; this time as the recipient of both War and Peace Prizes.

6. Americans are accustomed to having a choice in everything. That's our fundamental value. So we should all welcome and rejoice in the plethora of choices that our politicians offer us. According to various climate scientists, in thirty years parts of Europe will be submerged underwater while other parts will be as dry and hot as the Sahara. Those who don't want the slow and painful death of being roasted alive can find a demise of their liking. Some people will find the choice of a more immediate departure more desirable. Furthermore, it is clearly more democratic. While it is easy to imagine how the rich and famous will create artificial environments with AC, synthetically produced food and so on, nuclear destruction would be an equal opportunity thing. It will touch rich and poor, powerful and powerless.

5. This equality dimension of nuclear war will trigger a great joy for the French, who would recognize that the coming onslaught will finally bring forth the cherished dreams of the French Revolution: egalite, fraternite, and liberte. As we embrace strangers and die in their arms, we'll have a chance at least to die like brothers. The ideals of the French Revolution will be achieved. "But where is liberty?"-- you might ask. But what about liberty from all the worries connected with our lives: mortgages, bills, shoveling the snow, buying a new car?

4. The millions of Ukrainians who scream "Glory to Ukraine" will finally have the reason to do so. Maybe Ukrainians did not start Western civilization (as many Ukrainian nationalist fanatics constantly claim), but they should feel comfortable and proud of themselves for ending it. And that's something worthy of celebration. "Glory to Ukraine!"

3. I can imagine the great joy and celebration of various neocons, endlessly pushing for Russia's weakening. With the destruction of Russia, which is always meddling in Middle East, Israel will be able to claim its status of the nuclear power house of the Middle East, no longer threatened by nasty regimes supported by Russia. Of course, there will be Pakistan, Iran, and other nuclear powers in the region, but without the neocon's endless meddling in Middle East affairs, Israel will find the way to negotiate and achieve long lasting peace. And if not, neocons would still rejoice knowing that Israel died following faithfully their overseas master. Millions of Israelis already want to live like Americans. At least they will have a chance to die like Americans.

2. The coming destruction will be the realization of the dreams of millions of people. Russians who hate the West can die peacefully, knowing that their enemy is destroyed. Numerous Russophobes from London to British Columbia will have a similar reason to celebrate, bringing to reality a well-known joke about one anti-Semite who on the verge of dying, decides to convert to Judaism. "Why are you doing it?" asked his relatives. "What's happened?" "I want to die knowing that there is one less Jew in the world," he answered. So rejoice my fellow Russians, my fellow Americans, my fellow Poles, and Ukrainians. There will be a drastic reduction of your enemies. You don't even need to convert or emigrate to realize this dream. Just stay put and watch your sworn enemy disappear. Most likely you'll disappear soon after, but what a glorious moment that would be: worthy of Faust's famous claim: "Ah, stay a while! You are so lovely!"

1. World equilibrium will be restored. Ancient civilizations like China and India will finally resume their old roles of leaders and innovators and will surely rejoice at the prospect. Of course, as these countries owe their recent prosperity to their ability to sell useless products to USA and EU, they might find themselves at a loss. They might even turn against each other in frustration. But one hopes that Ancient Civilizations became ancient precisely because of their wisdom, their ability to compromise and negotiate. So people of the world will have plenty of reasons to celebrate: life will go on, wisdom will prevail, while the fate of Western civilization will find continuation in the place where it truly belongs: the morality tales of narcissistic, militaristic self-righteous cultures that follow the way of ancient Athens and Rome.

The USSR was a highly multi-national country.

When politicians divided it into small countries, many people from Donbass moved to other ex-Soviet countries, mostly to Russia. But they still consider Donbass as their motherland and have relatives there. They can be Russians, Ukrainians, Georgians, etc.

When their relatives are killed, they provide money or cross the border and start fighting. The Ukrainian government calls them Russian separatists.

When it comes to Ukraine there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of political sophistication or historical perspective going on either in Washington or in commentary.  There exist long standing resentments among Ukrainians against Russia and look standing coveting of Ukraine's agricultural capacity by Russia.

In the end the combination of Ukraine's lack of political sophistication, largely due to centuries of Russian repression, and long standing Russian paranoia and insecurity are proving a deadly mix.

All thev former Soviet satellite states didn't declare their independence out love for their Russian occupiers.  When they became an independent, sovereign nation Ukraine gave up their former Soviet nukes in exchange for a US guarantee of their territorial integrity.

If we think this situation is scary now, imagine what it would be like if they were facing each other downwith nuclear arsenals.

"I've been a member of this committee for many years, and I have never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable as the last demonstration that just took place. About -- you know, you're gonna have to shut up or I'm gonna have you arrested. If we can't get the Capitol Hill police in here immediately... (Cop removes protestor). Get out of here you low-life scum. (Applause). So Henry, I hope you will -- Dr. Kissinger -- I hope, on behalf of all of the members of this committee on both sides of the aisle, in fact from all of my colleages, I'd like to apologize for allowing such disgraceful behavior towards a man who's served his country with the greatest distinction. I apologize profusely." --Sen. John McCain

Wow. Woooowwwww! Holy shit, people, now that's Zio power. You know, if McCain sincerely has "never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable" as this protest, I suggest -- the next time he's groveling at the cracks of the Wailing Wall, paying homage to his masters -- he drive about an hour and a half to the southwest and get a guided tour of the concentration camp -- ahem, I mean "settlement" -- squeezed in there against the coastline. I've no doubt he'd stumble upon a comparably disgraceful, outrageous, and despicable thing or two in short order. Maybe Henry -- Dr. Kissinger, that is -- could join him, though I couldn't swear to the quality of their reception.

...And as far as Kissinger -- a man with enough blood on his hands to fill the Dead Sea to the brim -- serving "his country with the greatest distinction": his infamy as one of the great mass murderers in modern history is distinctive, I'll grant McCain that. I'd say Kissinger has served his other country demonstrably better, however. He may even go down as the Heinrich Himmler of Zion.

Hell we removed people from their islands and turned it into a radioactive waste land for years to come all for freedumb and democrazy. So cut russia some slack for wanting a stable neighbor on their much invaded border. We help facilitate the drug flow from our southern neighbors yet use the war on drugs as a excuse to gain entrance (plus a money kicker) to run roughshod over their elected officials.

Russia are the ones doing the invading and destabilizing - open your eyes. You want to make comparisons? OK then;

France invades Rota Spain and steals the Spanish navy's fleet base, and 75% of its fleet, while the world watches aghast at the utter stupidity and belligerence of this pure act of unremediated dumbness. They had trained and equipped ETA to take a chunk of Spain to align with France, with French troops supplying the tanks, artillery and logistics.

What do you recommend Commander booboo?

Cut France some slack, because France really just wants to stabilize its southern neighbor, and guard its much invaded borders from broke-ass PIIGS?

You can't see you're completely bananas can you?

So, what's more disturbing, Putin with nukes attacking his neighbor state in exactly the same way for the past 11 months, or a planet full of booboos with heads full of bad-wiring?

It's because of people such as yourself that humanity are going to go down the gurgler. And I don't blame you for being that way as you can't help it. It's OK, but NET it out across the global concretion of dumbness from the multitude of similarly malfunctioning brains and what do you get?

Extinction assured ... 'appropriate' sums it up well.

Here in Australia our media has gone full retard, claiming that Russia is at war with Ukraine. Not Russian backed sepratists, but Russia proper.

I do, however, feel that perhaps the news editors decided to tell the world just how little their "reports" are worth because the very next one was about the anniverssary of Dresden and they made the point of saying that the firebombing was "in no way related to the earlier firebombing of Coventry by the Nazis".

If there was proof the Russians wee sending massive amounts of arms into Ukraine, you can bet that these senators would be showing it in order to justify their bill.  The fact is that there is none.  There are no regular army troops there (Ukraine's top general has recently and openly admitted this) and no large shipments of weapons across the border (the OSCE representative has recently certified that they have observed absolutely no shipments of arms into Ukraine from Russia).  This entire thing is a setup against Russia to demonise them so the neocons can play war.  It's incredible how many stupid people believe the obviously unsupported and lying claims.

When looking at the relentless propaganda campaign being waged against Putin/Russia by Western politicians thru the conduit of MSM TV News channels & newspapers who all report every one of Poroshenko's claims that Putin has invaded Ukraine with lines of soldiers and columns of tanks at least 15 times to my knowledge, one must not forget that quite a lot of journos throughout TV News and printed media are actually placemen for the Security Services or have been co-opted: MI6 in the UK and CIA in the US/elsewhere.

In the UK, a number of BBC journos are MI6 operatives (BBC journo Brian Hanrahan ran the MI6 propaganda during the Falklands war), and I have little doubt that Sky News Head of News John Ryley and several of its senior journos have MI6 connections. There is no other rational explanation for the ever bigger lies Sky spews out daily.

Is it any wonder we are getting a non-stop stream of lies and propaganda? The West is on a march to war. Russia is one target, China to follow.

RT.com/UK program "Going Underground" today has an interview with a film journalist who took footage of a soup kitchen in East Ukraine being shelled by Ukraine military forces which had been going on for days. His footage contained a sound track explaining it. But when his footage was taken up by British News Channel: ITN, they broadcast it with a new voice-over asserting that the soup kitchen was being shelled by Ukraine separatist forces.

I watched RT's CrossTalk last week and it was a stunning farce of abject propaganda, pretending to be journalism. The guest speakers were fine, they were mostly informed, smart, and saying compelling intelligent things. The problem was they kept saying things that made clear that Moscow's policies and actions were a major problem, while the 'journalist' Host kept cut them off and trying to change the subject!

It was the most farcical parody of objective journalism I think I've ever watched.

RT, like so many Govt media services in other countries, is the equivalent of junk food for the brain. I don't eat the stuff as I know it's harmful. It makes me feel bad, I regret exposing myself to it, and it leads to mental malnutrition if you're silly enough to not snap out of it. (Max Steel for instance)

OK, OK,  ... I occasionally indulge in a wee bit of junk, but I know its cheap, nasty lazy crap, and I regret it almost every time, but the memory fades and you think, "gee, I might try that again, maybe it's gotten better?" ... BZZZZTT!

NOT!

A MacDonalds junk food franchise is a very apt metaphor for the effect such media has on civil discourse and general understanding of topics, and RT is probably not the very worst for that, but it's certainly been going for Olympic gold of late.

"...they kept saying things that made clear that Moscow's policies and actions were a major problem"

I have seen a few of Lavelle's guests occasionally criticising Putin's extraordinary tolerance of the West's aggression in Ukraine, starting with the coup in Kiev.

RT's Peter Lavelle chooses the topics for discussion and he keeps guests in line and on-topic. Above all, he attempts to get informed people on (as you rightly say) who provide an informed perspective instead of the non-stop MSM lies and propaganda.

The truth is, there "is" an alternative view of events to that spewed out by Western MSM which is supporting the march to war.

Can you imagine how Washington would respond to Russia setting up military bases and heavy weapons on its border with Canada?

What's the good of having guests if you frame and ask the questions then don't want to hear the answers, so just keep shutting them down, again and again?! It happened several times with two of his guests and occasionally with the third - it was a complete farce!

And btw the guests were absolutely ON TOPIC.

I've lost all respect for RT, it's a joke.

The only question that comes to mind is

"why the fuck are the americans so intent on supporting what to all intents and purposes is becoming a civil war."?

The Russian perpspective is likely because the Ukraine has a common border with Russia and if a major military power was to support the overthrow of Mexico or Canada this would be generate the same reaction in the USA.

Reckon this ... and remember no nation excluded from this process.

Ukraine bonds and an economy in the mire that needs refinancing ... up steps the IMF/USA/EU to offer more money when you can't afford to finance your existing debt. This policy of lending when you can't pay already should be made illegal for sovereigns because in the process the sovereign sells its population into financial debt servitude forever.

Those with the FIAT MONEY WMD PRINTER just print and buy to maintain their entitled position and the goal is financial slavery over the rest of the world. That could be your NWO but it is a slow creeping cancer on populations.
