Copenhagen Shooting Suspect Killed By Police After Two Deaths Including One At Synagogue

Tyler Durden's picture

Lately, and tragically, not a month can pass in Europe without some deadly, mass shooting event whose inspiration is supposedly racial hatred.

One month after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris which left 20 people dead, another series of deadly shootings rocked otherwise quiet Copenhagen this weekend, where the person suspected to be responsible for the death of two people and injuring five first at a freedom of speech event and subsequently, at a synagogue in Copenhagen, was killed by police early in the Sunday morning hours.

According to NBC, police said the suspect opened fire on officers as they were monitoring an address in Norrebro while investigating the two shootings. Authorities did not identify the suspect, who was killed when police returned fire.

The first shooting happened before 4 p.m. Saturday when the gunman used an automatic weapon to shoot through the windows of the Krudttoenden cultural center during a panel discussion on freedom of expression featuring a Swedish artist who had caricatured the Prophet Muhammad. The artist, Lars Vilks, was whisked away unharmed by his bodyguards but a 55-year-old man attending the event was killed, while three police officers were wounded, authorities said.

Vilks, 68, has been the subject of death threats for his previous caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad as a dog. He was not injured in the shooting, which the Danish prime minister described as a "terrorist attack." Vilks told The Associated Press that he believes he was the target of the shooting. "What other motive could there be?" he said, and referred to the attacks on the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris in January. Vilks has been threatened before: a Pennsylvania woman last year got a 10-year prison term for a plot to kill the cartoonist. In 2010, two brothers tried to burn down his house in southern Sweden and were imprisoned for attempted arson.

The attack at the synagogue occurred hours later, shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. Denmark's Chief Rabbi, Jair Melchior, identified the Jewish victim as Dan Uzan, 37, a longtime security guard for the 7,000-strong community. He was guarding a building behind the synagogue during a bat mitzvah when he was shot in the head. Two police officers who were there were slightly wounded.

About four hours later, the shooter was confronted by police as he returned to an address that they were keeping under surveillance. Investigators described him as 25 to 30 years old with an athletic build and carrying a black automatic weapon. They released a blurred photograph of the suspect wearing dark clothes and a scarf covering part of his face.

The alleged suspect captured here in a closed-circuit camera.

"We are working under the assumption that it was the same perpetrator who was behind both shooting incidents," said Police Commissioner Torben Molgaard Jensen. "And we are also working under the assumption that the perpetrator who was shot by SWAT police...is the person who carried out these attacks."

More troubling, just like in the Charlie Hebdo murders, the gunman was said to be have been inspired by Islamic radicalism according to Jens Madsen, head of the Danish intelligence agency PET.

"PET is working on a theory that the perpetrator could have been inspired by the events in Paris," Madsen said, according to the AP. "He could also have been inspired by material sent out by (ISIS) and others."

At a news conference Madsen also said investigators have identified the suspect and that he is someone who had been on the agency's "radar." He did not reveal his identity.

The attacks took place two days after Denmark and its partners in the European Union agreed to dramatically boost cooperation in the counter-terrorism field as a result of the January attacks in Paris, which claimed the lives of 17 victims.

The EU's law enforcement agency, Europol, said Sunday it was in contact with Danish authorities and proposing its help to find out as much as possible about the Copenhagen gunman and whether he was acting alone or in concert with others. "We are offering our expertise and capabilities from our anti-terrorist unit including access to our databases," said Europol spokesman Soeren Pedersen.

Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt put the entire nation on high alert and on Sunday visited the scene of the synagogue shooting. "Denmark has been hit by terror," she said. "We do not know the motive for the alleged perpetrator's actions, but we know that there are forces that want to hurt Denmark. They want to rebuke our freedom of speech."

The U.S. condemned the shootings and said it was ready to help the Danish government investigate, if asked. "We offer our condolences to the loved ones of the deceased victim, and our thoughts are with those wounded in this attack," U.S. National Security Council spokesperson Bernadette Meehan said.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decried the attack and said his government plans to encourage a "massive immigration" of Jews from Europe. "Again, Jews were murdered on European soil just because they were Jews," Netanyahu said at the start of his Cabinet meeting Sunday. "This wave of attacks is expected to continue, as well as murderous anti-Semitic attacks. Jews deserve security in every country, but we say to our Jewish brothers and sisters, Israel is your home."

And while this latest attack may have ended, the imminent threat of more deaths prompted authorities to cancel on short notice a carnival parade in the northern German town of Braunschweig planned for Sunday lunchtime, notice due to a concrete threat of an Islamist attack, police said.

"Reliable state security sources have made it known that a concrete threat of attack with an Islamist background exists," authorities in Braunschweig said in a statement. Police called on all visitors to refrain from visiting the planned route of the carnival parade and avoid travelling to Braunschweig.

If tragic history is any precedent, this will hardly be the end of the Europe's resurgent wave of hate crimes: hate, which the pseudo-federalization of Europe and its conversion to a political, customs and monetary union (which itself has been the cause of so much pain and suffering for millions of Europeans) was supposed to prevent.

Which, of course, is not to say that the US is any better. Presenting: Chicago.

Keep it in context.

More than 1 million dead Iraqis and 5 million have left the country since we invaded Iraq to liberate them (from their oil).

We in the West still live a pretty calm life.

This 2009 study from MIT estimated 800k to 1.3M 'excess' Iraqi deaths since the invasion/liberation:

http://web.mit.edu/humancostiraq/HOW%20MANY%20DIED,%20BUSH.html

" And the overall figures are stunning: 4.5 million displaced, 1-2 million widows, 5 million orphans, about one million dead—in one way or another, affecting nearly one in every two people in Iraq with tragically life-altering (or ending) impacts. "

And yet, oddly, the Islamic terrorists rarely cite that as the reason for their atrocities. Indeed, shouldn't we be seeing plenty of secular Iraqi terrorists if it was just about the invasion of Iraq? And yet we don't-- they are Islamic fanatics. If you are curious about their motivation, it's written in black and white in the Koran.

Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".

Quran (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him."

Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quran (4:95) - "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-"

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (8:15) - "O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end."

Quran (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah"

Quran (8:57) - "If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember."

Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (8:59-60) - "And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy."

Not really - not really at all. Please show me any verse from the Bible, new or old testements, that calls for the killing or forced conversion of all non-believers. God punishes the wicked and sinful, but God does this. He does not call on His followers to do so. God does call for what can only be described as "ethnic cleansing" of non-Jewish preople in the "Promised Land" of the Jews, but there is no call for global Jewsih dominance, forced conversion, of killing of those who do not believe as is done in Islam.

Then there are things like the crusades, which I'm sure you will be quick to point out was not God, but some mistaken followers, Christianity being a peaceful religion and all!! But here is where my argument becomes heretical and blasphemous, there is no God, there is no allah, your religion is a fairytale, santa for grownups, created wholly by human idiots. Therefore you are a monumental idiot for arguing "their god says this, my god says that".

The prescription was for genocide in Deuteronomy 20:16 and :17:

16 But in the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, 17 but you shall devote them to complete destruction,1 the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord your God has commanded,

Killing based on race - no redemption.

These types of passages are used today to justify killing of Iraqis, Lbyans, Syrians by Chrisitians and Zionists as it was okay in the past.

"Americans owe directly to the Saracens our southwestern and Californian architecture, our cotton industry, our asphalt paving, and a long list of such things as beds, table and bed linens, small occasional tables, strawberries, ice-cream. Americans speak Arabic when they say, mattress, sofa, cotton, talcum, sugar, coffee, sherbert, naphtha, gypsum, benzine. Our cars run, our streets are paved, our houses are furnished and our bodies clothed with things that the Saracens created.

The returning Crusaders brought back to Europe the first idea of a gentleman that Europeans had ever had. Until they invaded the Saracens' civilization, they had never known that a strong man need not be brutal. The Saracens were splendid fighters when they fought, but they were not cruel; they did not torture their prisoners, they did not kill the wounded. In their own country, they did not persecute the Christians. They were brave men, but they were gentle. They were honorable; they told the truth, they kept their word. This ideal of a gentleman especially impressed the English. It is still producing perhaps the finest class of human beings on earth today, the men and women of the British ruling class. It is an ideal that permeates all of American life. This is what surprises so many people in many parts of the world, when they see and meet the common American soldiers and sailors." --  Rose Wilder Lane (daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder), American libertarian author.

What you fail to grasp is that this part of the Old Testament (i.e. the Jewish part of the bible, NOT the Christian part) refers to a single, specific historical incident where God was instructing the Jews what to do at a single point in time.

The Koran, on the other hand, instructs the believer in the indiscriminate killing of the infidel, in an open-ended way, from now until all infidels are slaughtered or forced to SUBMIT to Allah. For after all, the word "Islam" itself means "submission".

Matthew 10 v34-v36

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Nice job taking the verse out of context and wrapping your own malicious interpretation around it. Matthew 10 discusses how Jesus' word will cause division between unrepentant sinners and those who struggle to follow Christ. Followers will be persecuted for their faith mercilessly. The "sword" that Jesus "sends" will be used by Jesus' enemies, against His followers. Obviously, this is not what Jesus intends, but is rather what must happen in a world where God has granted free will to man-- including the free will to defy God.

If you had actually bothered to read Matthew 10, and made even the slightest attempt to understand it, you'd know you were wrong. Most likely you have never bothered to read the bible, and just went to a online bible and pasted the word "sword" into the search box.

Assuming you care, here is some further information to help you understand.

https://www.biblegateway.com/resources/commentaries/IVP-NT/Matt/Jesus-Ma...

"The demands of the kingdom are so offensive to a world already convinced of its rightness that they provoke that world's hostility.

Opposition from Unconverted Family Members (10:34-37)

Although Jesus values families (5:27-32; 15:4-6; 19:4-9), the division his mission brings is particularly evident in families (compare 10:21; 1 Cor 7:16; of course more people prefer to quote Acts 16:31). Jesus' example demonstrates how this division is accomplished: although we are "harmless" (Mt 10:16; 12:19-20), God's agents proclaim the kingdom uncompromisingly and thus face hostility from others (13:57). Jesus' mission separates us from the values of our society, and society responds with persecution. Jesus selects these specific examples of in-laws (mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) because young couples generally lived with the man's family

Jesus matters more than the approval or even the civility of our family (10:37). Many viewed honoring one's parents as the highest social obligation (Ep. Arist. 228; Jos. Apion 2.206; Ps-Phocyl. 8); for many, God alone was worthy of greater honor (Deut 13:6; 33:9; 2 Macc 7:22-23).

Love Jesus More Than Life (10:38-39)

We must love Jesus not only more than our families but more than our own lives. For all our talk about low self-esteem these days (and most of us do view ourselves as less than what God has called us to be), the vast majority of people still cling desperately to life (compare Eph 5:29; Epict. Disc. 2.22.15-16). But the moment we become Christ's followers, our own lives and wills become forfeit; we die with Christ to sin (that is, to the right to make selfish choices; Rom 6:3-4) and choose a path that could lead any day to our execution for Christ's name (Mt 16:24). Although we may speak glibly today of "our cross" as the need to put up with Aunt Molly or a leaky roof, "taking up the cross" in Jesus' day meant being forced to bear the instrument of one's execution past a jeering mob to the site of one's imminent death as a condemned criminal (see Hengel 1977).

The promise of eternal life should be sufficient motivation for any who genuinely believe Jesus' claims-it doesn't take a math major to recognize that the greatest mortal longevity pales in comparison with eternity-but we sometimes prove less committed than we suppose (26:41). That even the first disciples were not initially prepared for such a demand (26:56) does not mitigate the level of commitment our Lord seeks from us: if we want to be followers of Jesus, we must be ready to die. If I value my life in this world more than I value Jesus and the life of the next world, I cannot be his disciple."

If you had enough faith to believe that the Bible is the literal word of God you might understand that the sword Jesus brings is literally a sword just as a Great Flood literally drowned the surface of the Earth and Methuselah literally lived almost a thousand years.

And yet, oddly, the Islamic terrorists rarely cite that as the reason for their atrocities.

I hate to inject fact into this feel-based argument but you will struggle to find a suicide bomber willing to die due to his/her anti-libertarian ideologies. Most of them don't enjoy the mental processes required to formulate an ideology, being illiterate sheepherders and whatnot (this is a jibe against the west bombing them in fear, not against third world illiteracy).

Oddly enough, oddly only because you suggest the opposite, almost all suicide bombers are recruited after a relative or someone they knew was killed. Of the bombers who suggest a motive/s, almost all cite the western invasion of the muslim world (oh yeah did you hear about that, apparently the west has invaded one or two or three of four or five or whatever muslim countries just this millennium) as a reason for their misdeeds. Moreover please stop insinuating Islam is a violent religion as if all religions are not violent constructs enabling TPTB to keep retards like yourself marginalised and in line. Religion is santa for adults nothing more, grow up. Again buckaroo I do apologise for injecting fact into your feel/fear based argument.

Really?? That's your argument?? You do understand the concept of a "suicide bomber", right?

Hard to ask them what their motive was WHEN THEY ARE DEAD.

in the meantime, given that suicide bombers are always recruited by hard-core Muslims-- who curiously, seem more interested in RECRUITING OTHERS TO KILL THEMSELVES rather than, um, actually killing themselves-- is it safe to conclude that the best source of understanding their motivation comes from the ACTUAL BOOK THAT THEY STUDY EXTENSIVELY AND PROFESS BELIEF IN????

Islam is at war with the civilized world.

How many more muslim countries will the west need to invade before the final vestige of critical thought your government has yet to skullfuck out of you catalyses in you a more enlightened and empathetic view of the world? Fascism is not macho faggot and neither is pretending you are not copping a dollop of govcum on your chin everyday while your wealth and liberties are eroded.
Stop letting your enemy tell you who your enemy is, accept that you are a slave, a content one at that, and do something about it. Be a fucking man once in your life, stop beating your chest when your captor kills some brown people, you're still a bitch just like your slave daddy was.

Some folks find it more comfortable to just go along with their oppressors because it's easier to follow orders and demand the death of others rather than to step up and fight for your own freedom. The folks who fear Muslims under their beds live lives described in the famous verse: The coward dies a thousand deaths the brave man dies but one.

Islam has been slaughtering mercilessly for 1400 years, almost without a break. Most recently, the Turks slaughtered a few million Armenians and Greeks back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Yeah, they take a break from time to time-- they were pretty quiet for about 50 years in the middle of the 20th century-- but eventually they get back to it. They make great false-flag targets because you know how they are going to respond-- they are obliged to slaughter the infidel because it is written just so in the Koran.

You are a fucking idiot if you think invading Iraq has anything to do with this. Yes, if you poke a psychotic rabid wolverine while it is sleeping, it will attack you. But if it was going to attack you anyway as soon as it woke up, what's the difference?

"You are a fucking idiot if you think invading Iraq has anything to do with this."

Suppose that terror attacks are not blowback caused by attacks on Muslim countries, specifically Iraq. The fact still remains that the US attacked Iraq and killed hundreds of thousands over the false claim that Iraq had threatened the West with Weapons of Mass Destruction. Has it occurred to you that you are hypocritical when you lash out at terrorists who have killed a few thousand while you do not lash out (and perhaps even support?) the government's murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis over a lie. See, that's your problem....

Islam is at war with the civilized world.

Really????
1,800,000,000+ people of this world are at war with the Civilized world? Look, let's start with some consensus - based on FACTS shall we? OK, you can have 1,000,000 so-called Muslims who are at war with your so-called "Civilized World" - you know the number is WAY less than 1million, but I'll give you that as a sign of good faith.  Now, what is that ratio to the 1.8 BILLION Muslims on this earth that respect human life, and so on?  Come on, man up and get your calculator out... The figure of nut-cases in the Islamic world are closer to 100,000 than a million by the way, and half of them have migrated to the levant, paid for and armed by the so-called "civilized" West. But anyway.... Now that you've done that, compare that percentage to the filthy ZIONISTS that are causing havoc the world over.  By they the israeli women raping child killers, or the Bankers of this world (Greenspan, Yellen, Bernanke, Fischer, Blankfein and co).
  • Let's look at the top six US Media outlets and look into their zionist controls
  • Let's look at the 4/9 Supreme Court Judges that are seeking to destroying Freedoms and Liberty, in the name of the LAW.
Worked out the ratio yet?  Pirate, clearly, you were either unaware of the facts, or you're a Hasbara agent suffering Epic Straw Man Fail.

Sun, 02/15/2015 - 21:41 | 5788574 Buckaroo Banzai
Buckaroo Banzai's picture

Unfortunately, your logic is faulty.

First, the Koran CLEARLY states that there are two types of Muslims-- the Muslim that sits on his couch and does not kill the infidel, and the Muslim that rises from the couch and kills the infidel. And the Muslim that kills the infidel is a BETTER Muslim.

Then, the Koran makes clear that killing the infidel is hard, and that many Muslims will not want to do this.

"Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."

So we have a small class of superior Muslims that kill the infidel, and a larger, inferior class that does not.

How do you feel about your dipshit Muslim apologist ass now??

Your position seems to be that the Koran is so authoritative that its meaning should be taken literally whereas the Bible must be massively rewritten by you so that it can finally be understood properly. Turns out that all that talk of God telling his followers to kill other people were slips of the tongue and not to be taken seriously. Good thing for Him that you're here to straighten Him out.

Don't you find it odd that Allah was so successful in saying what he meant while God, in your opinion, needs a ghostwriter?

At yet look at the outcome.  1000+ years of raghead barbarity.  If all 'faiths' are equally mystical and utter nonesense, how do you explain the ragheads keeping their women in chains from an educational and career perspective?  How do you explain the 'progress' of the Christians while the ragheads remain tonedeaf to the subtlest of multicultural advances?

The ragheads were performing surgery and doing higher math while your ancestors were living in the mud. Your ancestors learned how to be civilized from the ragheads. Ignorance of these historical facts indicates that you are the one who is hopelessly tone deaf.

But back to the topic: do you believe as BB does that any extreme quote from the Koran is meant literally but each and every one of the extreme quotes from the Bible can be explained away as poetic license?

Civilization is not at war with Islam but Islam is at war with civilization and has been since it was founded in a tent.  By it's very nature, civilization resists war and tries to find ways of appeasing Islam.  It would take an uncivilized world, one that has gone animal to defeat the animals of Islam.

Which is why you will continue to see an increase in these kinds of attacks, with a concomitant and immediate declaration from Netyanhu that Jews need to 'come home' to Israel. The prevailing paradigm is that an attack on one Jew is an attack on them all, so even a single Jew death serves that intended purpose.

The only thing worst to a Zionist than a murdering goyim is a Jew that refuses to make aliyah. They are considered to be race traitors.

Sociopathy 101: Blame the victims.

Suffice it to say that religion and nationalism (not coincidentally, the two are often intertwined) are a scourge to the human species. But fanaticism isn't best answered with fanaticism. Lars Vilks need not take up a rifle of his own and begin shooting back at Muslims; he need only not yield and keep producing his cartoons in order to gain the upper hand in this struggle.

"Islam is at war with civilization and has been since it was founded in a tent."

Actually it was founded in a cave, where its founder experienced bouts of visions and hallucinations, due to its air quality: an oxygen-deprived brain (hypoxia), when combined with personal goals and inner ambitions can conjure up all sorts of things. Ask any MD.

Also...

"Preachers and followers of the TALMUD are at war with all the world civilizations".

Its Hebrew founders were at war, so they could practice the customs of their worldview. By contrast, its modern adherents (since the founding of Zionism in the late 1800s) have leveraged Christian (St. Paul's) concept of global proselytizing & franchising. In so doing, they have turned their Hebrew and non-Hebrew followers into a Self-Chosen Army of earthly rulers, hell-bent on ruling the entire planet, or doom it to its end.

http://www.ancient-wisdom.co.uk/prehistoricdrugs.htm

It is well known fact that psychotropic drugs induce altered states of consciousness. It was argued by Terrence McKenna that they were a leading stimulant in the evolution of the human brain, and the origin of language and religion. This theory did not originate with Mckenna. In 1986, shortly before his passing, Gordon Wasson put forth his own theory on the origin of religion from hallucinogenic mushrooms, specifically Amanita muscaria,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria

The American banker and amateur ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson proposed that the fly agaric was the soma of the ancient Rig Veda texts of India; since its introduction in 1968, this theory has gained both followers and detractors in anthropological literature.[1] The Dead Sea Scrolls scholar John Marco Allegro also proposed that early Christianity sprang from cultic use of the fly agaric in Second Temple Judaism, and that the mushroom itself was used by the Essenes as an allegory for Jesus Christ.[2]

Nothing like cult-on-cult hallucinatory mind control to keep civilization evolving...

The driver of the truck pulls up beside another car and honks for the other driver’s attention. The IS guy in the passenger seat leans out the window and asks him, in Hebrew with a comically exaggerated Arabic accent, “Hey bro, how do you get to Jerusalem?” The driver of the car shouts back (in Israeli Hebrew), “Take a left!”"

There no longer exist practical reasons for Nordic men to foster the same relationship with death and conflict that other men have typically fostered with their wives and children. The "Viking" mentality and it associated religious beliefs arose out of a lifestyle which was necessitated by the economic realities of the time. Nothing more.

The vast majority of us (as in, every single one with the possible expection of a handful of mentally unstable individuals) will vastly prefer the current way of life. Imagine that.

Or, fast forward to the post Civil Rights era when the entire Southeast went from being blue states to red states.

Yes, the Republicans were the party of civil rights at one point in history, and that point is long past.  Now almost all of the former slave states vote Republican consistently.

"The jews were the Kings of slave trade in Medival Europe, but nice try."

That seems to be the historic case. But... to them it was just "good business", since they lived by a different code and worldview. Theirs was (and still is) the attitude of...

"If these Islamic or Christian fools want to cheat, mistreat or kill each other, who am I to stop them? Unless God stops them, we will benefit from their folly". I can see their point in that context. Especially when we consider that they (Jews) raise their kids to be wealthy and leaders over other men. Muslims and Christians? Not so much. In the case of Christians, kids are brought up to be Followers (sheep following shepherds: poor, obedient, compliant, self-denying).

Sometimes, how you see the problem IS the problem. And how you the world is either the problem or the solution.

What we REALLY have, is a "CLASH OF WORLDVIEWS", set in a Darwinian environment. (That's my analysis and conclusion).

Well, hundreds/thousands years ago everybody was killing everybody fow whatever reason they thought was right. But this doesn't mean we have to kill now in order to justify/avenge those deaths. If we do so, then the killing will never stop and will only lead us to further hatred and further killing, while our freedoms will be further limited by our "dear leaders" trying to protect us from our "enemies".

In each nation/society/religion/culture there is a minority of crazy and violent individuals who will commit terrible crimes, but this doesn't mean that we have to judge the whole group by the actions of a few. I humbly believe that mankind as a whole passed that point in the 21st century.

I humbly believe that peaceful coexistence is possible, if we can isolate the vengeful and warmongers from each side. Otherwise, what future awaits us there? More decades/centuries of killing, until a whole group is physically eliminated? Or mankind itself? (feeling terrible depressed...)

Killer Words = Politicians and the Church are great at it

Continuous Affirmation = Ignore the facts

"Many and sharp the num'rous ills
Inwoven with our frame!
More pointed still we make ourselves
Regret, remorse, and shame!
And man, whose heav'n-erected face
The smiles of love adorn, –
Man's inhumanity to man
Makes countless thousands mourn!"

"I humbly believe that peaceful coexistence is possible, if we can isolate the vengeful and warmongers from each side."

I believe this is a tad simplistic. These individuals are simply the head of a larger entourage that sees power in aligning with such men. This is why they are so hard to eliminate. Do you think by simply assassinating Hitler the outcome would have been different? The secondary leadership is always waiting for that possibility.

You have noble sentiments but I fear your idea would be as effective as everyone placing "Coexist" stickers on our cars.

I have a confession of shame I must admit to all.

I drive a Prius.

There is a long story about this of which I won't go into but I have tried to make amends for this. I decided to counteract the assumptions regarding the drivers of such vehicles with some interesting bumperstickers. On the drivers side I placed an OM sign, underneath "fuck this, I'm going to yoga" underneath that " nuke all the baby gay grey whales for Jesus". On the right, "Molon Labe" underneath a coexist sticker formed with various guns.

This seemed to have the desired effect but all the bizarre stares at traffic lights, honking of horns, confrontations in the parking lot at Whole Foods started to get annoying so I removed them for some peace, feeling I had made amends for my poor choice. My next car will be more appropriate to who I am.

Knowing you and all, of course ;-)

No, keep the Prius..or some other inconspicuous bland POS.....what you have there is a pretty sweet modern day Preppers 'Rat Rod'...all undercovery, camoflaged and stuff to your area...If you were to drive a 'more appropriate vehicle to who you are'...You would be bouncing in a Warthog or Apache...Hell, if you ever got a leisure boat that fit your personality, pretty sure it would have twin Browning 50's you got off a B-17 and a jet drive..!  Probably also a bimini top and a pole platform..just in case of course!

Ok, but only because you asked.

I was once approached by a flaming gay man dressed in tight biker shorts and bare midriff who got right in my face uttering obscenities. The exact words do escape me but " insensitive bitch" and " who do you think you are" was used repeatedly. As I was standing there being sprayed with spittle by a wildly gesticulating man, I slipped my hand in my purse and was fondling my taser contemplating the possible squeaking noises that would emanate from his convulsing body on the ground after I hit him in the neck. Strangely enough, he did not seem to notice my right hand was out of view and continued his long diatribe. That struck me as odd. Wouldn't one instinctually want to see both my hands in view during such a frothy verbal assault? Did his not see my coexist sticker was not of the conventional variety? Fortunately for him his partner came to his rescue during my musings.

" Oh Lance, she is so not worth it!

And they walked away.

Lance got off easy that day. His pants unsoiled. And I was hoping to take that story to my grave. But, I realized my stickers needed to go at that point, knowing mr miffed may contemplate long and hard before posting bail.

If by "success", you mean created a culture of helplessness and dependence, combined with open borders, appeasement of violent political groups masquerading as religions, generally reduced levels of testosterone and proliferation of faggoty clothing styles, then yes, it has been quite a success indeed.

If it makes you feel better, we have had some "success" like that here in the US, although we've managed to contain it to certain states.
