Holder Gives 90 Day Ultimatum To Bring "Financial Crisis" Cases Against Bankers

Tyler Durden's picture

Speaking in Washington this morning, US Attorney General Eric Holder made some rather disturbing (at least for financial market participants) statements, that made him appear to be 'cracking-down':

  • HOLDER SAYS HE HAS GIVEN U.S. ATTORNEYS 90-DAY DEADLINE TO BRING CASES AGAINST INDIVIDUALS FOR THEIR ROLE IN FINANCIAL CRISIS

Of course, the question is - does that mean after 90-days all bets are off (and everyone goes home free)?

As Bloomberg reports,

Attorney General Eric Holder says he’s asked U.S. attorneys involved in residential mortgage-backed securities cases to report in 90 days on whether they can “develop cases against individuals,”

Holder, speaking at National Press Club in Washington, defends record on cases against those involved in 2008 crisis

There’s “relatively small universe” of firms vs. savings and loan crisis of 1980s and 1990s, he says

Lack of more cases “is not for lack of trying”

Ironic on the day Turkey's President attempts to imprison its Central Banker for 2 Years for being too hawkish.

ColonRoach Holder will protect domestic criminal enterprises, i.e. banks... and his ugly twin sister, Lucious LardAss Langur Loretta lynch will protect her foreign crooks later... like she did for HSBC in their cartel where  billions of drug money was laundered... her massive fine was, I think, around $ 250 bucks.

The State AGs need to depose the Feds: SEC and US AG Eric Holder - isn't it obvious that the multi-billion $ settlements contain sealed evidence that implicates JPM, Goldman, HSBC, UBS, Credit Suisse, Lehman, Merrill, etc etc. Please let Susan Webber, Gretchen Morganson, Janet Tavakoli, and Elizabeth Warren have a turn at this. Or Karl Denninger, Dylan Ratigan and Charlie Gasparino could open up this can of worms. By all means please expose the rathole of synthetic CDS traded against the ABX BBB- index which was used to try and rescue the cartel known as CDS Indexco. Please also look at the timing of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act - and how it was the first "smoking gun" that this mortgage crisis was a contrived and controlled demolition act. Followed by FIN 46 R and FAS 157. Am I the only one who saw this whole scenario play out for the benefit of the few lech's at the top?

The fall of the American Empire is a carbon copy of the Roman Empire's downfall.

https://flic.kr/p/edpUf8 - OJ Holder won't quit until he's found the real gun-runners!

If the bailout fits, you must acquit!

Since there have been no books written as yet which give us the names of suspects - either the suspects are isolated from the rank and file or they are complicit with the regulatory infrastructure. Ergo, depose Tim Gethner, Alan Greenspan, Paulson, Summers, Rubin, Greenberg, et al --- it's an open secret! Come on folks! Let's get behind this!!
