Silver Slammed As Stocks Rally Back To Scene Of EU Crime

Tyler Durden's picture

US equities have miraculously recovered their EU-Greek talks-breakdown losses from yesterday in a mad buyng panic reminiscent of the very best work from FBRNY. As if that did not confirm everything was awesome in the status quo, silver (and to a lesser extent gold) have been take to the woodshed this morning. Treasury yields are still down 2bps from Friday's close but have jumped 3-4bps on this morning's exuberance. The dollar has given back all of yesterday's gains and then some and is now -0.2% from Friday.

Equities roundtrip on absolutelu no news whatsoever... smells like a stop-run to us

Silver is getting slammed...

And the dollar has roundtripped and is being sold hard now as everyone buys EUR...

silver is vital to control. They just don't have the physical left and it ringing the alarm on the ponzi. Enjoy the shit show and thank them for the cheap prices.

Whif of panic in the sell-down (and not from the longs).

Remember, real assets are risky and should be 5% of your assets.

Watch rare earth equities and alt energy.  Somethings up in the energy sector.

Real assets are risky? Does that imply that fake assets are safe?

 - It's the fake paper silver trading that has driven the price down. That can't last forever.

Is the dip done? Time to buy yet?

Some suckers continue to believe they can bet against the owners of the casino. Their longs are being liquidated today and serve as fuel for these violent downswings. HF algos serve as price fixing tools in this scheme. In a sense pure socialism - but for bankers.

This week is Chinese new year holiday. Expect more.

This has nothing to to with "market" or "price discovery for a commodity".

Lol, you tinfoil lunatics. Stop reading and believeing everything zerohedge says. You've been scammed by gold pumpers and doomsayers. Metals are in a bear market, they're correcting from 2000-2011 bubble when they got overvalued. How difficult is that to understand?

Dear Idiot,

Silver is not correcting, it is being manipulated. You are just too ignorant to see it.

A correction is due to  a normal free market.

Yeah, silver is slammed down by paper markets, but the same applies for the upward moves as well. Why didn't you complain when it went up from $5 to $45? Do you seriously think that run was caused by physical demand? No, it's papers market that brought it up, also they will bring it back down. World goes on, there's nothing holy in PMs, we're no longer on gold standard, they're just another asset. People make money (dollars) speculating on it, and that's all.

Another margin increase in the works? Seems the insiders know about these in advance. /s

That is what is effecting the paper price. Margin increases resulting in margin calls.

All major market are manipulated 100% of the time.

Do you think that oil spiked to 147 because of supply and demand? Do you think taht it fall down to 30 and 45 because of supply and demand?

Same for gold and silver and cotton and grain, ad nauseam

Bear and Bull markets obviously dont exist anymore. Its pump or dump centralbankster multitrilliondollar movements that shape the so called markets.

When you hold a little goldbar in your hand it obviously feels stupid when you think how many manpowerhours worth of fiat you paid for it. Specially considering how much of it the central banksters got in their vaults. 2nd thing you realize is, why are then the central banksters storing all this metal? 3rd thing you'd be thinking is, what else should i then possibly own? Stocks? Myself I got plenty already and they are on their ATH at the same time as dry baltic is on its all ATL, buying more stock would make a lot of sense..not

As you maybe noticed keeping local currency is not even an option to my mind more than having 2-3 months of spending in cash for the sake that I might have to empty the local supermarket in a bit of a hurry.

But please, I´d really like someone to answer my question on why silver would be running out? Anyone got any good links to share?

LOL.  Martin Armstrong.  That guy is the absolute worst trader ever.  He actually went to prison over it.  His recent greatest hit was to go long oil for the 2 year rally back in July and then he reversed and said to short it under 50 about a month ago.  yes.  His AI is never wrong.  Except always.  Whatever you do, don't send that guy any money.

Doesn't matter what price JPM loses all of SLV's inventory.  I mean.  I totally believe JPM shipped 20 million ounces of SLV silver to their vault in NYC from London for safe keeping.  I totally do not believe it is a giant IOU marked as an asset.  They totally withdrew that silver in London, and they totally have it in NYC now.

Using client assets to price derivatives is a great racket, until it isn't--Just like every other banker shell game.

The good thing about having silver and goldcoins is that you know someone will always exchange it for something, at least for the rest of my remaining time on earth.

I wouldnt say that about my local currency. Even less likely when it comes to Euro and USD.

When what takes 10 or more days of gains to disappear in 10 minutes it is time for me to realize i am running in quick sand for 5 years. Don't care any more if I was duped by PM sellers or robbed by TPTB thru manipulation of PM. It's a waste of time and my timeline is nearing zero every day. Still weening myself off of ZeroHedge. But until that is complete I'm going to live like I used to and just be more aware that everything is basically a fraud. Wish you all well. I still believe you are right in what is money, but being right doesn't mean shit any more.

Silver is a sideproduct of many mines....and as these mines shut down because of pricing issues..the silver deliveries will too...so production should be slowing down quite a bit i would think...

I've given up trying to understand how this ponzi scheme works.

Currently, Gold and silver are getting slammed, YET.....

The stock markets aren't going up sharply.

Currencies are trading rather flat.

Oil is flat.

Bonds are going nowhere.

So where the hell is the money going?! Answer: I don't care. Really, I've made my bet and I'm going to lie in it (see the pun I did?!). I'm not going to pay attention to what is happening day-to-day. I'm more interested in long term trends.

We all know the outcome of this system clue: rhymes with "bollapse"), so let's worry about something else. Like, what will kick the first domino over....?

Yes we know the outcome but the ride along the way feels like prolapse.
