Just an hour after markets soared on the back of meeting delays due to what Bild Zeitung described as an "administrative mistake" of sending the wrong letter to The Eurogroup, BBC World Service contributor Yannis Koutsomitis reports, a Greek government official denies there was any "wrong" letter sent by Varoufakis to the Eurogroup.

I found it very odd that the Homeland Security director was on CNN yesterday describing the planned "offensive" on Mosul against ISIS. Now planned for May -- nothing like announcing months in advance. Anyway, it occurred to me in the past such discussions would have been represented by the Secretary of Defense or Pentagon officials. This Homeland Security position is apparently now both internal and external security. Quite frightening really.
As an aside, CNN is on my gym's screens, so it's the only reason I see what they are up to. It is a total propaganda channel, targeted toward really non-thinking people and completely in-step with the Obama regime in all aspects.

Excellent link, Zorro. Fascinating, thoughtful remarks by Varou. I think he's correct about a lot of things; although I do note that he kind of implicitly leaves the door open for an exit. Maybe, for example, if Greece had "bridge support" from other countries, then maybe returning to drachma suddenly gets a lot more realistic. To my ears, he seemed to imply that the reason he's "european" is that Greece at the moment does not have any apparent alternatives.
That may change.
Getting to the point that anything I see in any "western" press about Greece, I have to assume to be either inaccurate, erroneous, or a lie. Every time "news" breaks (90% non-news about upcoming meeting schedules, miscommunications and hurt feelings) I always wait for the Greek response now, to find out the real situation. Whether it's Bild or Bloomberg, the MSM always seems to break these "news reports" first, and always to be proven dead wrong upon the Greek reply.
Nice thing about the Greeks is that at least their response time is very fast. With every troika attempt to steer the propaganda, the Greeks issue an immediate reply and rebuttal. They must have a good quick-response team to put the kibosh on all these misinformation attempts. Respect for your strategic thinking, PM Alex.

After 6m bridge loan and demand for 95% write off their debts, they intend to dump euro anyway while securing Chinese and Russian investments so Drahma will not collapse while they will print their own money to get rid of the rest of their debt.
The German threat of expelling Greeks from eurozone is moot to Greeks. What they really want to destabilize Europe to force German exit which would kill German economy while Deutsche mark skyrocket. Euro crony oligarchs are shitting in their pants as I write.
