It (your/my/their Grandpa's gold) was ALL given to the FED by FDR in exchange for paying interest only on T Bills. See it (the 8 tons gold at FT Knox) in their(the FED's) annual report. Your taxes and mine go to pay the FED for the fantastic job they do adding digital numbers to back the T bills, and positively controlling the "business cycle"(translates: Not fucking you/us all with huge depressions/recessions, at least most of the time). NOT to fund Gov programs, as the FED does that. I suspect Sen Warren found this out once in DC and this explains why she went from brilliant economist(no sarc) to puppet politician. JMO
