The Chart That The Eurogroup Is Really Worried About

Tyler Durden's picture

The Eurogroup's apparent 'non-negotiation' stance with Greece reflects one main worry we suspect - conceding to Greece would increase rather than reduce political risk, emboldening the resurgent anti-austerity and anti-euor extremist parties across Europe. With Spain and France seeing 'extremist' parties in the lead, the following chart is likely the one that keeps Dijsselbloem up at night...

If you have any notion of national identity and treasure independence and sovereignty.  You automatically get called far right.  There will be a time, sooner than later I think that people start saying yeah, I am far right just like the two guys next to me and we don't give a damn.  Then they start marching showing they are not alone and more people join.  Than either the movement gets co-opted and steered in a different direction or people start winning elections and others get jailed.  Either way it won't end well.  But you can only push men so far if they are out of work and don't want to be on welfare they will start to freak out.

Why should the Greeks hurry? If what we here is correct (big if) they are getting EUROs from the Banks. Their government officials can kid the institutions along for awhile. This will end when the Greeks can't withdraw any more EUROs and/or the institutions refuse to play along. We have also been told Deutsche bank goes bust if Greece goes off the EURO. If true then the Germans are in no hurry either.

I'm a geezer and '45 wasn't bad except for rationing; gas, sugar, coffee.  Everyone not in the military had a job and made good money for the times.  I was a little young for the war but four gold stars in some windows really sucked.  Even '35 was OK (except for a lot of Oakies in the dust bowl) if you had a job.  More or less controlled depression isn't that bad.  Economic collapse with 2.5 times as many people in the US will be a bitch.

Also with Greece itself voters could send Golden Dawn to replace Syriza, so it's not like you defeat Syriza that it's game over for Greece leaving the EU. Neutrering Syriza and other such parties in various countries just encourages further and further extremism. The EU is treating this like it is a single game rather than an iterated game where defeating Syriza puts the genie in the lamp, but it doesn't work that way where you'll end up having Golden Dawn, Front National, etc. all ready to be ultra-nationalists, which having a bunch of ultra-nationalists being elected over Europe could be worse off in the long run for everyone.

They are sowing the seeds for the rise of Nazism.  Right now you have a bunch of young "white" men that are un-organized and pissed off.  We know what happens when they get organized and are still pissed off.  Shit burns, bombs drop and many, many people die.  I do not want this the bankers better tell the elites that the greed needs to ease.  Put the men to work, bring home some factories even if you make a little less profit.  But they won't so the bad scenario will happen.

Germany currently seems to be playing the role of Bruning did in the Weimar Republic. Getting Syriza to comply doesn't necessarily mean it will end well for the Germans if they neuter Syriza and in fact the more they neuter Syriza and make them look like lapdogs who have just been housebroken, the more it will invite other parties who are like rabid pitbulls and who could care less about the Germans.

It is more or less understood that each nation and the global entities are governed by a "Deep State". These are the real elites, whose financial power translates to political power through many means. That is why Americans will be voting for Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush, and the media will call it deomocracy in action. The same in the UK, three parties all the same in all but name.

"Deep State" is international now, but not in complete control yet. That is why certain nations are targets of the Western media, Intelligence agencies, and covert proxy war and terror operations.

If you are looking for democracy, that bus left the station over 30 years ago, it's gone. What's left is "Deep State". The Heads of the CIA, FBI,NSA, Pentagon. Corporate CEOS. Bankers and Large Trading House managers, Israeli leaders, a small set of Christian Zionists. Guys like John McCain and his type. Generals and Admirals. The "Deep State is not fixed, but has members join and others drop out, some stay till they die. The US Congress is not "Deep State", but total slaves to the "Deep State". Only a couple senators qualify as "Deep Staters".

The "Deep State" haas power centers, Banking being one of the most powerful. The Military Industrial Spy complex, the leaders of which are "Deep State".

Yes, they do meet and communicate and plan in secret. Only a fucking fool would believe they did not.

Just FYI, M5S (aka 5 star movement) is leaning more and more to the right: they are very statalist and against immigrants, basically they're de facto outright fascists, just without the discipline and honor memes. They've said something to appeal to anyone, whatever voter might have been angry for some reason, from the disappointed communists (universal income) to the naziskin hooligans (immigrants right), putting on top of all this a religious-style halo of supposed purity (as if they had the exclusive on honesty, just pathetic...).

The most terrifying thing is that they're full of conspiracy theorists, a bunch of crackpots who believes in chemtrails, that the euro is responsible for anything bad in the world, that 9/11 was a lie, that Lunar landing was a lie, that the world is run by masonry, that vaccination is bad, that homeopaty is effective, that syrens exists, that we're all chipped to be spied on, that there are spy satellites to read our thoughts, etc... I swear I'm not making all this up, just google the actual interviews to MPs to understand the tragedy of the Italian educational (and representative selection) system.

There is no way on earth that the Greeks can be allowed to get away with the "more money/less austerity" option - which translates to the electorate as "get more/pay less". If they do, then Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Spain will demand the same. It would amount to the electorate actually getting what they want - rather than what they are given. That is revolutionary stuff and TBTP cannot afford to even consider this possibility.

So that just leaves going back to the Drachma as the only other option. Romantic as this notion of independence might seem, all they'll have is a load of tokens that can only be spent internally. TPTB will then ensure that they are made an example of and that they fail spectacularly - to encourage the others (Portugal, Italy, Ireland and Spain).

If I can read the Greeks' horoscope, then I'm sure that someone else has also pointed this out to them.

It was the usual court press of the political establishment which "freighted" the AFD with huge propaganda-effort into the right corner following their usual strategy to unsettle disloyal voters.
