Oh, you didn’t notice that World War Three is underway, actually has been for more than year? Well, that’s because most of it has been taking place in the banking sector, which for most people is just an alternative universe of math. The catch, which many people either miss or don’t care about, is that the math doesn’t add up.
For instance, the runaway choo-choo train of linked European sovereign bond obligations with its overloaded caboose of interest rate swaps and other janky derivatives of mass destruction. That train left the station in Athens a few weeks ago bound for Frankfurt. Ever since, the German government and its cohorts in the EU, the ECB, and the IMF have been issuing reassurances that the choo choo train will not blow up when it reaches its destination.
Few people grok that Greece is an entity with an economy not much bigger than North Carolina’s, yet it is burdened with roughly $350 billion of old debt that will never be paid back. The only thing at issue is how it will not be paid back, that is, what mode of pretense will be employed to disguise the inability to pay back this debt. The mode du jour has been the crude one of lending Greece more money to pay back the interest on the old debt. A seven-year-old ought to be able to understand where that leads.
It’s kind of up to the Greeks this week to possibly opt out of that farcical deal. They have at least two other present options: return to being a sunwashed semi-medieval backwater of olive farmers, shepherds, and inn-keepers, or perhaps lease out some cozy corner of their vast Mediterranean coastline to the Russian navy for enough annual walking-around money to keep the lights on for the aforementioned farmers, shepherds, and inn-keepers. Of course, that would drive the US and its NATO quislings batshit crazy.
We’ve already got our knickers in a twist over Ukraine, a so-called nation whose highest and best purpose over the millennia has been as a sort of lethal doormat in front of Russia, leaving adventurers like Napoleon and Hitler bleeding in the snow as they crawled back to their nations of origin. In short, Ukraine has worked so well for Russia that we must be insane to imagine that it would give up that traditional relationship. Yet the US and NATO persist in their foolishness and attempt to back up their Kievan intrigues with financial “sanctions” against Russia.
Russia is doing what it has always done in the face of adversity, which is to suck it up. And, anyway, these western financial monkeyshines don’t hold a candle to ordeals like the siege of Stalingrad. What’s more, the Russians, despite their peculiar alphabet and thuggish demeanor, are at least as clever with computers as our code jockeys. We (in the USA) think just because we’ve made it possible for everyman to drool over Kim Kardashian’s booty on an iPhone screen that we have some kind of immunity against cyber counter-attack from way out east.
It seems to me that Russia (with China and others) is very busy constructing an alternate financial network that will allow for international money transfers and other necessities for conducting normal trade operations, outside of systems like the SWIFT code, which the US has been using as a knout against our imagined enemies. The upshot will leave America high and dry in a lot of what remains of international trade, especially in oil.
Meanwhile we continue to tell ourselves the false and idiotic story of “energy independence,” based on the shale oil Ponzi scheme that blew up last fall — the consequences of which won’t really be felt for about another eight months, when all those wells drilled and fracked in 2013-14, start to fall off their production cliff, and the replacement wells will not have been drilled. We’re still importing almost 8 million barrels of oil a day, contrary to all the fairy tales we tell ourselves. What happens when the sellers decide they won’t take US dollars for it? Hmmmm...

You would find it impossible to reproduce the collapse of those three buildings by arbitrary events of "any" kind. You can point to no instance where such phenomenon occurred before or after that event. You can be shown many many instances where far more serious "uncontrolled fire" did not lead to the result seen on those three buildings. You couldn't even demonstrate the effect on a model of fractional size.
And you can not explain how nearly 100% of those asked will know about WTC1 and WTC2 collapse and less than 10% will know about WTC7 collapse.
So how do you prove your assertion? It is silly on its face.

The post office is one of the few enterprises government is constitutionally obligated.

For a few years I keep reading here at ZH that the end is nigh, and Mr. Kunstler seems to agree. I'm not sure when nigh is, but the world's CBs, and those who pull the strings there, seem to have been able to keep this lead ball afloat for much longer than most any of us had thought possible. I think they will keep this magic show going until Global War the III breaks out in full heat - that will be the declaration that the magic show is over. We'll all have to instead be distracted by the inconvenience of trying to stay alive until we are saved by the emerging global government that will just wipe away all our tears. Not that that's the plan, or anything.

If you look at what the United States has become it does seem likely we will fall hook line and sinker for the global government that no doubt has been in the can for some time. We wonder why our education system is failing yet most of the nation's children eat a diet that hardly resembles food. Chemicals are added at an alarming rate to our food system. Mathematics is a language that endeavours to be more rigorously stylized, in order to become more sublimely useful. Mathematics is the language of the bookkeeping of both energy and money. In that context, consider the MAGNITUDE of the ERROR in the philosophy of science which resulted from INSERTING A MINUS SIGN INTO THE ENTROPY EQUATIONS OF THERMODYNAMICS AND INFORMATION THEORY!
Some basic backgrounds, within which to understand the significance of that ERROR, are that human beings have two primarily media through which energy/information flows. The first is the biological, the DNA and proteins. The second is the neural networks. The former is often simplified by referring to the genes, while the later is simplified by referring to the memes.
Human beings are biological beings which are able to build brains that can operate languages, including mathematics, as the most abstract of those languages, but still a human language nonetheless. Some of the basics of that are that human beings build mental models of their world, including mental models of themselves within their mental models of the world.
Money is measurement backed by murder, because the meaning of the symbols depends upon behaviour. The debt controls depend upon the death controls. That operates within the overall situation that all private property exists as claims backed by coercions. There is no private property outside of some system of public violence. The overall trajectory of that human history was that the privatization of God led to the privatization of the environment.
What follows from looking at individual human beings and human civilizations as general energy systems is that human realities are always organized lies operating robberies. However, in order to understand that better, one must engage in a radical critique of the concept of entropy, in order to perceive how the meaning of that concept was inverted during the development of the history of science.
Human beings have the genetic ability to develop a brain that can learn a language. The basic ways that tends to be done are through various DUALITIES, which are as ancient as human language itself. However, most of the progress in science has been based upon profound paradigm shifts which replaced better UNITARY MECHANISMS for the previously mistaken false fundamental dichotomies, which were presumed within human languages based on DUALITIES.
For instance, in thermodynamics, heat became understood as the average kinetic energy of molecules and atoms. After developing that unitary mechanism, then the duality between hot and cold was no longer a valid fundamental dichotomy, because cold did not exist the way that hot existed. Cold was an absence of heat. Heat was a form of energy. The perception of cold was due to the relative absence of heat, but cold did not exist in itself, the way that heat existed as a form of energy. The language of hot and cold was the kind of duality that people presumed upon due to common sense being encoded into natural languages. Hence, people talk about hot and cold as if they are equal opposites. However, that is WRONG.
The same ideas apply to understanding light as a form of energy. The unitary mechanism with respect to light is that all colours are different frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. Colours exist as forms of energy. White light is due to perceiving all the colours together. Natural languages, based upon encoding common sense, can become quite confusing mixtures to discuss, however, the basics are that black or darkness does not exist, only colours exist, the same as cold does not exist, but only heat exists. Pure black would be no light whatsoever. Pure white would be all colours at once. The unitary mechanism understanding of light, as a form of energy, electromagnetic radiation, transcends the previous dualities that were presumed by natural languages.
Deeper scientific understand of the speed of light, due to light being a form of energy, has resulted in the special theory of relativity. That has resulted in transforming the common sense presumptions regarding time and space, to transform those into unitary mechanisms, which are pretty well the total opposite to the previous presumptions, that time and space were independent absolutes. It is quite difficult to approach better understanding of the principle of the conservation of energy, because doing so tends to asymptotically approach transcending all of the dualities that we use to think through. That becomes even more imperative when we attempt to interpret the meaning of the mathematics found in quantum mechanics, etc. …
I assert that post-modernizing science is re-converging with ancient mysticism, from where it originally started, long, long ago. However, in order to better reconcile science with mysticism, one has to correct some of the profound ERRORS which were made in the history of the philosophy of science, such as when the concept of entropy had its meaning REVERSED, by inserting a minus sign into the entropy equations.
The theoretical imperative importance of that change in world view can be understood better after one considers that the special theory of relatively enabled harnessing atomic energy, while quantum mechanics enabled electronics to be developed. Those abilities are trillions of times BIGGER than anything that previously existed in known human history, however, those abilities have been channeled through Neolithic civilizations’ social pyramids systems, based on being able to back up lies with violence, to become globalized systems of electronic monkey money, backed by apes with atomic bombs. That is, the ENFORCED FRAUDS which are the foundation of our political economy, which operate inside of our human ecology, have applied progress in science and technology to become much better at being dishonest and backing that up with bigger violence.
As soon as we relatively SUBTRACT human beings from their environment, then across those defined boundaries they must TAKE ENERGY in order to live. To the degree that we name human beings, and assign them properties, then they necessarily become organized systems of lies operating robberies. When one perceives individual human beings, and human civilizations, as entropic pumps of energy flow, then that is based on SUBTRACTION and ROBBERY, as the fundamental realities, which condition everything else that is perceived upon that basis.
Human civilizations developed due to the history of warfare. The oldest book on the Art of War starts by saying that “success in war depends on deceits,” and ends by saying that “spies are the most important soldiers.” The history of warfare selected for the surviving War Kings to create the powers of sovereign states, such as the power to tax, and the power to kill to back up the power to tax, as allegedly justified through the rule of law. When one applies some of the basic concepts of general energy systems to human systems, then one discovers that human societies operate as fractal patterns of the principles and methods of organized crime. Social systems are controlled by their most labile components, which are the most dishonest and violent people, while the human path of least resistance is the path of least morality. Warfare was organized crime on larger scales. After the War Kings made the sovereign states, the best organized gangs of criminals were able to apply the methods of organized crime to the political processes, in order to capture control over governments, and thereby effectively privatize those powers of governments.
The best organized gangsters were the banksters. Those international bankers applied the methods of organized crime through the political processes, in order to capture control over the monetary systems, which became the MAD Money As Debt system, backed up by the MAD Mutual Assured Destruction system. Those banksters became the Fraud Kings, which controlled the powers that the War Kings had originally assembled and channeled. Therefore, the power to tax, and to kill to back up the power to tax, backed up the creation of “money” made out of nothing as debts, by privately controlled banks, which systems of ENFORCED FRAUDS everyone else was forced to live within. There were developed entire royal courts of Frauds Kings. Each central bank was the national Fraud King, while the King of Kings of Fraud was the Bank of International Settlements. Those presided over other banks issuing the credits, that was the “money” made out of nothing as debts, which “paid” for strip-mining the planet’s natural resources, which was all merely BIGGER AND BETTER SYSTEMS OF ORGANIZED LIES OPERATING ROBBERIES, which developed at an exponential rate throughout the history of Neolithic Civilizations. At the present time, we are wondering whether those social pyramids systems will be able to adapt to survive running into the relatively objective environmental limits to exponential growth, which are showing up as diminishing returns, impacting first and foremost within the financial systems based on ENFORCED FRAUDS.
Those PROBLEMS are bubbling up, in the various forms that the article above mentioned. I.e., Greece being one of the leading edges where the debt slavery systems have generated numbers which have become debt insanities, and the USA importing almost 8 million barrels of oil a day, "paid for" with "money" made out of nothing, because the American Dollar is actually backed by the American Military.
There is almost nothing but organized crime and its controlled opposition. Although we label various episodes of more obvious "wars," there is actually perpetual war. The entire political economy is based on ENFORCED FRAUDS. Those inherently suffer from the contradictions that the relative social successes of being able to back up legalized lies with legalized violence never can make those lies become true, but only drive the civilization controlled by those lies to become more criminally insane.
In order for the mathematics to add up, one has to look at how human beings and human civilizations operated as general energy systems. THAT IS EXTREMELY PARADOXICAL, because I repeat that one of the basic concepts of general energy systems is that the most labile components control the system, which in the case of human beings means that the most dishonest and violent people controlled other people. Another basic principle of general energy systems is that they follow their own path of least action, or least resistance, which in human terms means that civilization follows the path of least morality.
To understand human beings and human civilizations as energy systems, so that the basic laws of nature will make sense, and add up, one has to accept that human behaviors act according to the principles and methods of organized crime. Governments are the biggest forms of organized crime, controlled by the best organized gangs of criminals. There is perpetual war, and therefore, human realities are manifesting the maximum possible deceits and frauds. Overall, that DOES ADD UP, however, that adds up in very paradoxical ways, compared to what superficially appears to be the case, as long as one stays within the biggest bullies' bullshit world view, in which everything is presented in the most backward ways possible.
The biggest bullies' bullshit (which currently is primarily the banksters' bullshit) promotes the DUALITIES of false fundamental dichotomies, and the related impossible ideals. Inside of those combined systems of organized crime and its controlled opposition, those controlled opposition groups also promote the same false fundamental dichotomies, and so, tend to propose bogus "solutions" to problems which are based on going to the wrong pole of those false fundamental dichotomies, in order to arrive at their spurious sense of "unity." The biggest bullies and their controlled opposition promote bullshit "solutions" based on old-fashioned DUALITIES, instead of developing more scientific UNITARY MECHANISMS. Hence, they go to the wrong pole of the false fundamental dichotomies, as the impossible ideal "solutions" to the actual problems. For instance, they say that we should have more honest governments, when actually having more honest government must be more honest about the basic nature of government, which is that governments are necessarily forms of organized crime, and therefore, "better" government is necessarily better organized crime.
THE REAL MATH ADDS UP! However, the result is that we are living in a Bizarro Mirror World, or Wonderland Matrix, where everything appears to be backward, and seems absurd, because of the degree to which the biggest bullies' bullshit world view has dominated natural language and the philosophy of science, in ways which have deliberately misrepresented everything in the maximum possible ways. The math does not appear to add up only to the degree that one stays within the wrong frame of reference, which is isolated from the overall actual environment. The death controls back up the debt controls, in ways whereby the maximum possible deceits back up the maximum possible frauds.
That mathematics does add up, because that is based upon how the real human energy systems actually operate. However, within social pyramid systems based on backing up lies with violence, the vast majority of people were brainwashed to believe in bullshit, whose math doesn't add up. The ways that the ruling classes control those that they rule over by backing up lies with violence made sense, and the mathematics about that makes sense overall. However, for those who believe in the bullies' bullshit, then that math doesn't add up!
The biggest bullies' bullshit does not add up because the banksters have SUBTRACTED THE SUBTRACTION. That ERROR is not recognized or admitted. Therefore, everything that follows thereafter appears backward and absurd. The public "money" supply is being made out of nothing as debts by private banks, while that "money" controlled the physical economy, as systems of ENFORCED FRAUDS, which tend to never be publicly recognized nor admitted to actually be FRAUDS.
Making "money" out of nothing, ex nihilo, violates the basic laws of nature, such as the conservation of energy. However, that is explained and defended within a system of public misunderstanding that has reversed the meaning of the concept of entropy. From that follows the ways that money is measurement backed by murder, as the most abstract form of private property being based on claims backed by coercions. The basic structure of social pyramid systems was based on backing up lies with violence, which has become more sophisticated systems of backing up legalized lies with legalized violence. However, since the biggest bullies, currently the banksters, are the best organized gangs of criminals, which control the biggest form of organized crime, which are governments, everything is publicly presented in the most backward ways possible, and therefore, the math doesn't add up in WAY WORSE WAYS, than tangentially touched upon in the article above ...

I think that social pyramid civilizations deliberately promote specialized knowledge without wisdom, because the ruling classes are engaged in a war against the consciousness of those they rule over.

It's more like how law is to logic, economics is to math.
