U.S. and Israel Busted Lying About Iran’s Nuclear Program

George Washington's picture

We noted in 2012 that top American, Israeli and European leaders admitted that Iran had no plans to build a nuclear bomb.

The Jerusalem Post reports today:

A new leak of secret intelligence documents obtained by Al Jazeera shows that the Mossad expressed the belief that Tehran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon just a month after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Islamic Republic was a year away from becoming nuclear-armed.

In addition, Bloomberg reported last week:

Details of a 15-year-old Central Intelligence Agency sting emerging from a court case in the U.S. may prompt United Nations monitors to reassess some evidence related to Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons work, two western diplomats said.

***

The CIA passed doctored blueprints for nuclear-weapon components to Iran in February 2000, trial documents have shown.

“This story suggests a possibility that hostile intelligence agencies could decide to plant a ‘smoking gun’ in Iran for the IAEA to find,” said Peter Jenkins, the U.K.’s former envoy to the Vienna-based agency. “That looks like a big problem.”

***

“The goal is to plant this substantial piece of deception information on the Iranian nuclear-weapons program, sending them down blind alleys, wasting their time and money,” according to a May 1997 cable submitted to the court.

The project remains relevant because elements of the IAEA’s suspicions about Iran rest on older information provided by intelligence agencies.

***

The CIA sting shows the kind of tactics that the U.S. and its allies have used against Iran, according to Dan Joyner, a law professor at the University of Alabama.

“The falsification of nuclear-related documents is a very real part of such states’ efforts to frustrate Iran’s nuclear program,” said Joyner, who has written extensively on nuclear proliferation risks. “This revelation highlights the dangers of reliance by the IAEA upon evidence concerning Iran provided to it by third party states whose political agendas are antithetical to Iran.”

In other words, the CIA gave nuclear plans to Iran to frame it for having nuclear ambitions.

This is especially interesting given that the U.S. has already used false pretenses to carry out regime change in Iran, and has been planning another round of regime change for more than two decades.

And the U.S. has been claiming for more than 30 years that Iran was on the verge of nuclear capability

SO revealing, surprising and disappointing.

Of course, the Iranians and Russians would NEVER lie, create false-flag events, or otherwise be dishonest or deceitful.... according to the GW impostor.

Does it follow then:

Ok but this just fans the flames of lies that have been laid.  There are many assumptions that are stated as fact in this ad.  If I was worried, and I am, about nuclear arms I would, and I am, worry about that country down below the 49th parallel.

( about 80% of USA educated citizens have no idea what 49th means,) Let alone how to locate Canada on a map. Or Ukraine, or Iran, or Greece, or Germany or South Africa or Chile.  For that matter can't locate their own states.

Sheesh.  And this is the powerhouse of growth and freedom.  Heaven help this world if some idiot ike McCain gets launch codes.   But this ad presumes to much.

What one should consider is the relative amounts of Iranian and North Korean GDP..

Iranian GDP 2014:          $350 billion

Nth Korean GDP 2014:    $15   billion

With an economy aprox. 23 times as large as North Korea's, which is already a nuclear power, Iran was clandestinely pursuing a nuclear weapons programme since the fall of the Shah in 1979. With its large scientific and technological power base since the Shah's reign, it is highly likely that Iran is already a nuclear power and is just waiting to accumulate enough nukes before conducting a test. Alternatively, it could have already have conducted a computerised simulation and is content with the official line that it IS (like in Bill Clinton's definition of IS) not seeking developing nuclear weapons!

In today's world, any country with so many enemies would be crazy NOT to have a nuclear weapons program.  It's leaders would be derilect in their duty to protect the nation.  It is plain to see that NK & PAK are left alone simply because they have the bomb.  Iraq, Libya, Syria....not so lucky.  Plus, it is common knowledge that Isreal has nukes, too, so it is completely undersandable that Iran wants, even needs, them.

Personally, I don't see Iran any more crazy than Pakistan or North Korea, and do not believe they have a death wish.  MAD has worked since 1945.  Maybe if every country was required to have nukes, we could stop these incessant wars and start building up humanity instead of destroying country after country..

Iran is signatory to the IAEA; Israel is not.

Iran allows inspectors in- now they may obfuscate some stuff, but they DO allow Inspectors.

Does the other country of the two here do that?

1) You compared to NK and Pakistan, and it is your comparison that I was responding to.  I can't find any instance where the leadership of Pakistan calls for the "elimination" of India.

2) " 'Christian' right", as you point out is waiting for Revelations.  That is very different from pronouncing to "eliminate the Zionist regime", as the first describes a passive role, and the second describes an active role.

You appear to have simply overstated your case.

I do not wish to go into a huge rant here. But I will.

American richer folks vacation in my ozone every year. Been caught stretching all rules on fish quotas..but I digress. Do not wish t focus on arrogant priviledge presumed,

Had a woman in the local Canadian health clinic complain that she was unable to jump to first in line for treatment,  She told me (circa 2000)  AND READ THAT RIGHT circa 2000 that health care in the USA was superior,  Se trotted out some fanatsy that even sex workers had no-pay access to the finest health system in the world.

The exceptionalism of delusion,

So now the USA has legislated the mandatory for-profit inclusion into private for-profit insurance.  This gives carte blanche for costs and profits to rise.  This is not health care.  Wake up.

So now this is part of GDP?

When the frig are you folks going to wake up?

Mandated, over priced for profit drug/health care is NOT universal,

So OK talk about socalism  AND the evils,  I think Canada/UK/France etc.  maybe pay $100/month for access to care,  And that is all care.  I am speculating as our employer pays it all.   need heart surgery? May have to wait a bit but you will not be bankrupt.  Need new knees?...need diabetes support.

Point is all these idiots that spout "socialism evils" do not tell the average USA citizen how beneficial universal health care has been world-wide.  If I need heart surgery it is not going to put my family into bankruptcy.

I also do not have a $1000 bill month over month, legislated, to ensure the private health insurers make even more profits.  Have you guys looked at this?  It is totally insane.  Obamacare?  I would be storming the Bastille on this one.

But?

The documents, spanning the period of 2006-2014, were written by members of South Africa's State Security Agency (SSA).

So some documents allegedly from South Africa's State Security Agency say that Mossad didn't think Iran was working on a nuclear weapon. How were the documents authenticated? Even if they were, why would Mossad reveal that information to South Africa?

My neighbor's best friend's uncle claims he has seen authentic secret documents from Uruguay claiming that Danish intelligence agents have positive confirmation from fast food concession employees working in Area 51 that there are 51 bodies of extraterrestrial being in cold storage there. Ever wondered why it was called Area 51? Now you know. The real question is why hasn't George Washington shared this explosive information with ZH readers. Could he be part of the plot?

South Africa and Israel did collaborate in the apartheid era. Since the ANC took over, relations between Israel and South Africa have cooled considerably. Recently the ANC declared Israel's founding to be a "crime against humanity".

I'm sure like every country, Iran has nuclear ambitions, however, the budgeteers aren't willing to

spend a billion or more doing so.  So, the engineers and physicists do small scale studies,

practice building centrifuges, get the process down, waiting for the authorization to spend 1000 X the

money.

Right now, iran is better off, spending a billion buying little mines and shape charges to help hezbollah.

George: the title should have been, "U.S. and Israel Busted Lying About Iran’s Nuclear Program AGAIN"

They'll get 14 F-35s from the U.S. taxpayer FOR FREE by 2016, so they'll be able to use the nuclear bunker-busters also provided FOR FREE by U.S. taxpayers to take out the non-existent Iranian 'nuclear weapons' facilities.

I think there's some accounting clownfuckery where they actually pay for some of them, but any Israeli military aid 'loans' are usually forgiven in whole at the end of the year in some kind of annual secret congressional black mass. The U.S. is also claiming the fighters are only $110M each when U.S. taxpayers have sunk well over a quarter-billion dollars into each one. So we're not giving them $1.5B in F-35s for free, we're actually giving them about $3.4B in F-35s for free. All so they can take out Iranian nuclear facilities and roast Palestinian babies with napalm and white phosphorous. There's going to be a whole special ring of hell reserved just for dual-citizen, Israeli-firster U.S. politicians.
