The War On Success: Why America Is Doomed
This is the war on success that our government is waging. They are almost trying to make the economy worse by putting companies out of business. To Quote Jim Clifton of Gallup:

But an innovation is worthless until an entrepreneur creates a business model for it and turns that innovative idea in something customers will buy. For the first time in 35 years, American business deaths now outnumber business births.
Let's get one thing clear: This economy is never truly coming back unless we reverse the birth and death trends of American businesses. It is catastrophic to be dead wrong on the biggest issue of the last 50 years -- the issue of where jobs come from...when small and medium-sized businesses are dying faster than they're being born, so is free enterprise.
And when free enterprise dies, America dies with it.

I'm too jetlagged to reiterate this entire subject but will say that expecting the greatest expropriator or private proeprty (government) to defend private property is like putting child rapists in charge of a pre school.
I know about arbitration. The companies that push it stack the deck. Think for one second about some low wage earner going to arbitration at a private panel against a large corporation or consotrium, and tell me if you really believe it would be fair.
Life isn't fair and arbitration and a truly free society wouldn't be perfect (no system would, but it'd be the best). But if you think the "public" legal system is fair roll me some of what you're smoking. At least arbitration isn't funded with stolen money.

What economy are you operating in? I'm watching companies that have been around, 20, 50 and even 100 years going down. There wasn't anything fake about them. And with them are going decent paying jobs being replaced by either part-time, lower paying, or nothing at all.
The pace of collapse has slowed since '08, but its still sinking. Now and then there is a little burst of growth, but it never comes close to reversing the trend. The wall street/washington nexus is a major source of this destruction, and they are the most insulated, even benefiting from it. This ship is not going to stop sinking, let alone be righted until that problem is dealt with.

According to all three, US students not living in poverty score as high or higher than anywhere else in the world. Our 4th grade math students scored on par with those great Finnish students and on the PIRLS assessment (Reading) we were in the top 5. That's it. Those are the assessments. Anything else you hear is pure bullshit.
