Is This The Most Important Chart For The Future Of The World's Reserve Currency?

Tyler Durden's picture

When it comes to the future of the dollar status as the world's reserve currency, the most important chart may be the fact that the US is now so woefully buried in debt that another global military conflict appears inevitable...

... or that it now takes virtually unlimited monetization of the debt shown above to preserve the illusion that the US is not bankrupt, pushing the S&P to record highs in the process...

... or that the marginal impact of every additional dollar in new debt generates increasingly less economic growth?

Indeed, the "most important chart" may very well be any of the above, but in our view the one chart which, both literally and metaphorically, will determine how much longer the USD will reign as the world's reserve, is the following.

Drones are way overrated. You need a constant data stream going to an operator somewhere. Logic would suggest that any transmission can be intercepted or supplanted, with false instructions issued.

Now, I am aware they are working on drones that fly all by themselves, pick targets, fight, and return home entirely autonomously. Obviously they never watched terminator.

Still, the main problem I have with drones is that they put awesome killing power into very few hands. Eventually, it's not inconceivable that a few hundred people manage enough drones to function as a complete army. Concentration of power is never a good thing, and that goes double for military power.

The Jew Larry Kudlow loves the Crony Capitalism... He and all his buddies get filthy fucking rich while the rest of us get fucked!  I say burn the motherfuckers alive!

The Jew Larry Kudlow loves the Crony Capitalism...

Larry Kudlow may claim he is a Jew, but he sure don't act like any faithful adhering to the poetry of their religion's canons one one might expect. The previous President of Iran responded to a lamestream reporter's "assertions masked almost as a question" during a UN press briefing said it best, "A Zionist is not a Jew. A Zionist is a Zionist, period!" Iran has a large population of Jews. Some are even PMs. Must be this "reformed" heresy that has little to no connection to the Torah.

Al Capone claimed he was a Catholic. Who knows a Carholic that behaved like Capone?

The chart of miltary participation to stock market spikes means when the false flaggers on CSPAN pout their double sectrets for "The Street Banditos", and provide Oceania with a proper Emanuel Goldtein, the ramp up means more genicide profits than there would be should a stable troop level be maintained. Why is US defense spending by orders magnitude, blowout every other country on the planet?

Answer is simply: It is the bling factor appealing to the selected CSAPAN gadflies and their pathological attraction to the alchemy that turns blood to gold.

But that aside, ...

The 4 largest US traders has fallen a bunch, percentage wise, compared to the 8 largest traders.

True, but the underly has to be paper contracts. A couple of mssed German Gold "final delivery" dates ago, some German PMs came to NYC to look at German gold held in a US vault. They had to look at it outside the cage. They were not allowed to go in the cage and inspect the "claimed as gold" bars in the cage. Venezuela asked for it "precious" back = and, understing the quanity was small compared to German stocks in Fance, UK and US. There's something fishy going on in the gold market.

Naked shorts, perhaps? ...

On February 7, 2015 "The Street"  offered proof they are a master of the obvious,...

The Commercial net short position in gold now sits at 20.33 million troy ounces.  Ted says that JPMorgan's long position has vanished---and they may actually be short the gold market again.

Globalresearch reported their matery of the obvious late last year ..

... manipulation by the Fed involves the short-selling of uncovered Comex gold futures. “Uncovered” means that these are contracts that are sold without any underlying physical gold to deliver if the buyer on the other side decides to ask for delivery. This is also known as “naked short selling.” The execution of the manipulative trading is conducted through one of the major gold futures trading banks, such as JPMorganChase, HSBC, and Bank of Nova Scotia. These banks do the actual selling on behalf of the Fed.

It's important, to the FED, make the [probably] hyperinflated dollar appear strong strong yet offer a piss poor return on its value when we go buy Roundup laced food. One way is to rehypothicate gold bars with fat naked shorts. The scam is appaprent in this chart.

What's really wierd is that demand is going up but gold prices decline, baby, at least according to this chart in this article. The inverse correlation for silver, prices decline as demand rises, from this chart (note the deficie line), in this article

So here is the path so far, the FED and it's members write naked shorts for gold, silver and US treasuries that results in lowing the buying power of the dollar, and thus increasing the number of dollars tit takes to buy, or sell, US equities. Perhaps the matter was given more light than expected when Grayson asked FED counsel extrodinaire if the FED manipulate stock prices? Okay thats a couple of indictable counts against the the FED and it's counsel.

But the hard lie at the heart of the scam came when the "Doctor", Ron Paul asked Alverez if the "FED owned any gold?". To which Alverez said "No" in his best imitation of a dickless wimp.

So the question for the day is: How vcan the FED, who doesn't own gold, write massive naked Gold shorts. Even if the FED borrowed it from the Morgue, the COMEX, and Morgue, couldn't fulfill most of the short paper floating around in the large intestine of the global rehypothication klan.

Whose fault is this? The person behind the eyes reflected back at us when we look into a mirror.

Don't worry - valuless paper can be redeemed with an endless supply of USD.

In regards to the current Debt to GDP ratio, I think there is a huge underlying misconception here. And that is the actual calculation of GDP. The model of calculating GDP has changed significantly since 1929 and has incorporated models that are pure fantasy (hedonic calculation et al). The debt calculation itself is hard to manipulate (althought I wouldnt be surprised if there are areas of calculation where they can "neglect" debts under certain conditions).  So as I see it there is a significant manipulation of the debt-to-GDP ratio as the GDP numbers are bloated. So even though the ratio currently looks pretty bad, the actual debt burden is much worse. How much? I can not say, but I would be surprised if there arent any "fringe" economists who are doing such analyzis.

Good point Cadarve (goodness me, that's one scary Alias!)
The same case can surely be made for Muslims then right? Let's say there are 50,000 ISIS (although sources suggest it is half that) - that's nothing compared to 1,800,000,000 (1.8 Billion) people who just go about their everyday lives, in spite of being under attack by puppet oppressors, ISIS, and out-right aggression from hostile nations!  However, the case for Zionists / Talmudists (not the Old Testament folks), is that on a percentage basis, it appears they are in the majority. The evidence of that is clear:
  • The top six media outlets are led / controlled / headed by confirmed Zionists.
  • Four from the Nine (some 44%) of the Superme Court Judges are confirmed Zionists (44% of the Judiciary Branch of the USA!)
  • The Current Vice Chair of the Fed is a Zionist - The Current Chair is a Zionist - The Former Chair is a Zionist - (sigh) The Former-Former Chair is a Zionist
So, the judiciary, the media, and the central banks are in the hands of Confirmed Zionists.... We can keep going of course, By mentioning that the most powerful ECB President in history has been the confirmed Zionist Jean Paul Trichet, and we can confirm that the current US Tres. Sec is a confirmed Zionist Jacob Lew; but lest we forget Goldman's leader Blankfein. There are a lot more where that came from of course, but this isn't a who's-who post.  I'm not going to bother delving into the Talmud - which I have studied, you could say "religiously" - and where I understood the distinction made between the precious few and the Goyim (and that includes the permissable sodomisation of a 3 year old if he or she isn't a member of the precious few).  Now, that's being unravelled as the days go by, but what of the Talmud's more fashionable and hip brother, Kabalah?  Well this sums everything perfectly regarding the destinction between the precious few and everyone else:
the Jewish soul is ontologically different from the soul of non-Jews; for example, it is held by some that Jews have three levels of soul, nefeshruach and neshamah while non-Jews have only nefesh. The Zohar comments on the Biblical verse which states "Let the waters teem with swarms of creatures that have a living soul" as follows: "The verse 'creatures that have a living soul,' pertains to the Jews, for they are the children of God, and from God come their holy souls....And the souls of the other nations, from where do they come? Rabbi Elazar says that they have souls from the impure left side, and therefore they are all impure, defiling anyone who comes near them"

So, then, there you have it.

I assume you're referring to Blankenfein ... and ... of course  ... why the FED was established in the first place ... and the players ramping up to the PSA (Police State of America) ... and, of course Tracey Ullman's State of the Union Season 3, Episode 1 - so hilarious I blew a fresh draw of green tea out both nostrils!) portrayal of Maddoff waking up in bed for the shaming his so called "split strike reversals" (they were call options - reversals mean the market is heading south, into put territory) to the ignorant greedies walking the miday of US investment scams (Kevin Bacon was one) who really believed Madoff could, by orders of double digit magnitude, beat the S&P.

The point is that the only reason we allow ourselves to be divided up - like the Jew's did it, Muslims did it, etc etc, - is because the lamestream's job is to make us feel that way so we are divided. By placing anybody who is a Jew, or a Muslim, in the basket of unacceptable allies only serves to weaken our unity, and the force of power and control out unity represents. I have noticed that every time the US Genocide Bankers finance a burning of brownies, there's a slew, rightfully or wrongly of claims against Catholic Clergy. Why, because Catholic Clergy Policy speaks against blood baths.

Why should we lessen our numbers based on the subtle, but effective, false stereotype motivations fed to us by the Mockingbird lamestream?

There was a passel of Rabbis at the Iranian sponsored Holocaust Conference.

When a country suffers massive firebomb air raids, one would expect to see refugee center created near more reliable resource and service privosion centers. Ask: What is the the difference between a concentration camp and a refugee camp?

There is no difference. People always crowd around a place where food is available when it is unavailable at the market in their hood. Look at Gaza.

BTW, before there were Rabbis, the there were Egyptian clergy known as Magi - lots-o-phoenetic similarities twixt Rabbi and Magi. Anthropologic descriptions of Jesus were not like the idolatrous blonde surfer dude hanging on the walls of self ascribed christian fundamentalist temples. Jesus was Egyptian - part African - part semitic Mediterranean - kinky hair - kinky beard. Moses was Ethiopian and didn't look at all like Charlatan Heston.

At least the Methodist Church had the courage of conviction to say that one of their most prestigious members of their congregation, Dubby, was wrong to sign off on Genocide Exchange's War on Terror, and disavowed the poor half wit who was just doing what his daddy's friend's at Carlyle fixed the Diebold outcome for. Gore would have followed the same path. Just as Obama followed Dubby's and Dubby followed Slick Willey's.

Truth is, the Quran is an almost a perfect paraphrase of the Torah. Christian teachings claim Jesus was a Rabbi, a Jew, and yet he was the most profound speaker, if we view what is attributed to him as historical documentation, on individual freedom and rights. John 19:11, "“You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." I am agnostic, but see the value of strength theology offers those of us going through a moment of powerlessness.

It's about unity. The more of us there are the easier it will be to fix "our" problem. We can't allow the false logic of faulty stereotyping to reduce our head count.

Had to add to above:

There are two kinds of soldiers ..

a) The high risk soldier that has to engage and fight for a possible chance to be victorious.

b) The low risk soldier who wins the war without a fight. The little marmoset would never consider fighting a 600 lb gorilla.

Only a stupid human does that. BTW: We be de 600 lb. gorilla and dey be de teeny weeny marmoset.

The trick is to keep as much, if not all, of those assets we either own, employ, or hold the notes on. Thanks to DHS, whose primary benefactor is the private prison conglomerate, we got more than enough for those who have the courage and common sense to simply confess their crimes, without threat of Capitol Consequences, and do the time. Sure they'll have to return a bunch of assets paid for by the money in the bag delivered by the bagman. Shit we might even witness the miracle of miracles, and train ex-yet-currently-incarcerated politicians to work real jobs!

How to perfectly conserve all of "our" assets and evict, through the inducement of the universal logic "that" a survivable outcome is very possible, the entrenched whankers hiding behind "our" temples of governence walls. That's what we need to figure out - ASAP.

15" guns from HMS Warspite still (I'm reasonably sure) hold the world record for a shell hit on a moving target in a naval battle.

HMS Warspite hit the Italian battleship Guilio Cesare in July 1940 at a range of about 26,000 during the Battle of Calabria.

Each shell weighed 1920lbs - fired off 8 at a time in a broadside.

Might be a tad disconcerting to be at the wrong end of that!

Iowa Class were battleships, BTW, not destroyers.

Warspite was also the first ship to open fire in D-day.

A full broadside does not even move a Battleship sideways but by a smidgeon.

Now it may move the Destoyer by a hell of a lot more.

A Destroyer's hull may survive getting quite a few shots off. But the energy adsorbed by the destroyer's structure would cause structural failure and the subsequent breakup of the ship in a very short time frame.

The nukes don't even have to be anywhere important, or kill any Americans, because you could just tell the public that the idiot Muslims couldn't even get the device to work properly and accidentally nuked themselves. Then all the idiots in DC have to do is point at which country they want to crush...

US and Israeli policy lately appears to have accounted for this nicely.  Large armies are absolutely necessary if we are to control an area.  But if the purpose of the destruction is merely to ensure that no one controls the area, chaos is easy and requires only automated weaponry.  TPTB have decided all they need is to deny anyone control of the areas of contention, and that is exactly what they are doing.  Then, stupidly enough, they are bringing this same strategy back to "the homeland" (one of my all-time-most-hated imperial phrases) and creating chaos here as well.  They are going to be the rulers of an ash-heap, but Goddamnit, no one else will control anything!

1. plutocratic purchasing of the government

2. handouts to appease the masses who are struggling in the broken/collapsing system

So...apathy? Yes tons of apathy, but the entire system is rigged to the point where I'm saying why bother? Everyday, the lobbyists are writing more and more laws. Everyday the wealthy are appearing to get wealthier. Wonder how wealthy they will be if/when the "revolution comes". They won't want to give up power easily, not when there is any profit to be squeezed out of the populace, MOAR CREME to be skimmed from the top.

Apathy? The US government does not care what the citizens think. We have been removed from the political system, thanks in part to the big RED v BLUE circus.

LooseLee - The United States or more specifically central banking (IMF/BIS) handed the reserve currency baton to China. If trade had not gotten so imbalanced by on politicians selling the people down the river massive debt issuance would not have been needed to temporarily mask the hollowing out of the USA.

But somehow the American people deserve to become peasants and abused? Part of the job of GRC is global policeman. I have said that China becoming GRC was a feature not a bug since 2011. Then ZH published an IMF report in 2014 that China was the defacto GRC, that 38 largest central banks and the IMF were renominating in Yuan.

I also stated like the former GRC Great Britain handing off the baton to the USA that there would be a decrease in military here (no GRC no need for global policing of trade) and China's would increase. ZH just published the first piece which is that 'last chart' related to GRC.

GRC means empire. Great at first for the population but a serious corrupting influence over time. Of course the population is growing war weary, confused by why the USA acts like a global policeman while domestic policy is in shambles.

Miltom Friedman was correct that all currencies should float but the people that drive the bus decided to go with the devil they know. In honesty I probably would have done the same thing about GRC and ping-pong but the mismanagement of the flow which happened too fast did not let the people here adjust and that was greed, hubris and near-treason.

But I am getting sick of half you fucks blaming the American people for being fooled by the CB scam which has fooled every population thus far in history thus far. Yes our society got corrupted but as far as empires go we were probably the most benevolent in history.

Now we see if the Chinese can do better. I wish them well and sure hope they can. For the last 40 years of my life I am sure I'll get to read about China being the global bully as they police trade.

Projection into the future of employment in the MIC indicates that the MIC alone will bankrupt the USA just on operating costs. How will Americans pay for militarism going forward? The disenfranchised 99% is not going to tolerate a system wide reset throughout the World that is simply going to be more of the same in terms of disparity.
American aggression is not the answer either. Operating costs per year for the USA is $1.4 trillion plus of borrowed monies that will never be paid back,_ever_!

Deflation is the culprit. Media is not informing us how detrimental this is to our economy. Why? Well earnings are more important than our economy! That tells me when earnings go south we go into a recession. Then what?

Deflation as in price deflation, is not the culprit - it is an outcome of a bust cycle that follows the credit fueled boom cycle.  Deflation is as necessary as water is to survival and is therefore inevitable - and quite frankly should be welcomed.  Inflation destroys wealth through an erosion of purchasing power as a result of a depreciating currency - and if you don't beleive me, just ask anybody in the Ukraine - right now.

man. deflation is being called bad thing only cos it means the "debt racket" isnt working out.

you need constant growth to be able to pretend debt is gonna be paid off somewhere in the future.

we do not need growth. we can live without growth in production, spending, using and throwing shit out.

since growth is redundant in normal stable environment, deflation is good.

I'll slip in the back door.

That 403 forbidden thingy better go away before the start of WWIII. A lot of people here depend on my commentary.

Some guys from Dover AFB I play cards with that I've known for a long time were pretty vocal about how dysfunctional the command structure is right now and it has been getting worse since GW Bush. There are several power struggles over funding going on right now (F-35 vs everything else) while personnel are being moved around to other installations for no apparent reason. Central Intelligence has been split into warring factions over Israel/Russia and things are falling into the cracks. Something is going on in the Falklands again but detailed info is unavailable while the rumors are bizarre. The US military is off-balance and pissed-off at each other right now and it seems deliberate.

"The US military is off-balance and pissed-off at each other right now and it seems deliberate."

The ultra liberals think the military money would be better spent on expanded social programs and supporting more illegal immigration.

during the real estate boom the economy roughly broke down thus. some may remember more accurately but this is close i think.

30% of the economy was financial. 30% of the economy was construction related. the other 40% were mostly the benefactors of the of those two elements, the hospitality and restaurant industries and the sales of chinese made technojunk under the names of multinational corporate states and .gov.

an easy analysis of any economy in the world acutely or historically just needs to follow construction trends. the reason china is currently growing so fast is because of the massive urban build out. just like the usa post ww2, china will grow at a tremendous rate until infrastructure buildout is matured sometime in the next 20-30 years. like the usa it will have to expend its wealth to maintain its wealth. eventually, china will to end up with a moribound economy as growth comes at the expense of debt which will eventually strangle growth.

new home construction in the usa is still at about half of what used to be considered the recession line for the economy. the vacuum left by the one thing left that made the middle class money was filled with digital dough. the only people with access to digital dough are the digital dough makers....and a few freelance human traders.

that explains the monetary expansion.the chart on the size of the military is meaningless for 2 reasons. humans are needed less and less in modern warfare. in the past it was usual for a nation to draw down its force in peacetime. despite all the shit going on there aren't many troops in hotzones. when the usa pulls out of yokosuka it will be serious.

Army size is no longer relevant... Especially re.  foreign policy. It would be much better to count the number of carriers or planes...

anyway you cut it, you need boots on the ground.

navy and air force do not, can not occupy. try it.

I agree... but the imperial power is less an occupation power (unless you are russian, as they are the only ones still believing in occupation first) than the capacity to destroy another state structure to force it to obey (or be destroyed). The war in Irak was won in 3 or 4 weeks with few boots on the ground. The greed of some politicians, not the necessity of fighting against Saddam Hussein, made it necessary to also win the peace, which was rationnally impossible (remember these "occupation of Irak will pay its own cost", followed by the "surge" once the US State decided that peace at some level was needed before leaving Irak: taxpayer dollars for corporate profits is not rational, it is plunder of taxpayers)

gdp is largely a useless statistic becuase it is not consistently calculated and cherry picked , like all popular benchmark statistics--------and manipulated more and more --the more 'important' it gets to the popular mind.

thus, the graphs become less and less meaningful as they get closer to the present.

all you have to know is, peak usage of statistics, means that staistics themselves become subject to more and more manipulation by those tasked with creating them.

I have been made pricey to a honest to good ESS conspiracy. It is simple but insideous as are all the masterfully planned conspiracies. This one involves Kale.you know Kale used to be some obscure salad item for various uses but no one went to the grocery store and bought fucking kale. If you even knew what it was. Well this plant has been found to absorb chemicals that are used as herbicides at a fate way above other foods. Well this means that chemicals can be applied to fields of kale by farmers whether they are aware of what all is in the herbicide or not. It turns out that the idea is to keep adding various disease causing chemicalsngo kale so the population who use kale is slowly made I'll without any traceability. The reason for this is unknown... Maybe there are certain ethnicities that use kale and are being targeted. Maybe just a way to make medical devices some money IDK.

The number of people in the US army means nothing seeing as how the government is increasing the size of other (hidden) groups such as NSA, ATF, IRS, etc. and groups that spy on their own citizens. Last I read the NSA is building up to 500,000 personnel.

The US armed forces are filled with decent people who have sworn to defend the constitution of the US. These people will probably not attack their fellow citizens if they received an illegal order to do so.

Now, those other nefarious groups, you know, the ones flying the drones etc, would kill anyone anywhere if ordered. As a matter of fact anyone who had a conscience would be elliminated by the use of psychological tests, making sure that only psychopaths are hired.

Perhaps this is the one benefit of nuclear weapons.

Politicians can't start that big a war without it going MAD (mutually assured destruction).

They do like to hide their mistakes, but they don't want to die themselves.

Why the cold war, stayed cold.

The rats in Washing town will do their damdest to involve the rest of humanity in a global culling to distract the local proles. However, the big players Russia and China will not be attacked directly. Pentacon Kill Inc does not fight real armies with nukes. After their "success" against the pyjama clad, flip-flopping, unwashed Al CIAduh rabble of the Arab world, there is no bite left in the redneck slash ethnic GI (Government Issue) braindead that is the muscle of mad dogs like Kissinger and Zippo Brzezinski (the neo coheners and klingons who own US).

The real war will be the tearing apart of Merca itself when the sub-workingclass foodstamp "economy" meets the Wall St shylock Ponzi "finance" sector. Factor in the good ol' boy militias, the independent preppers, the disgruntled, disabled, disenfranchised, cast-off demobbed, ex Pentacon fodder, the organized criminal urban gangs and the mercenary armies of the zero 1% psychopaths and a very uncivil war of truly Mercan proportions is guaranteed to keep the rest of humanity applauding the ensuing fun as Merca burns in a reenactment of its war of terror against the rest of humanity for the last century.

Get out now before your neighborhood starts looking like the last "place of employment" that your local platoons of militarized pigs destroyed with the gift of Washing town style demokkkracy as they "served" their country and the interest of the zero 1% thugs.
