This Is What Happens To Gold In A Hyperinflationary Currency Crisis: Ukraine Edition
As Ukraine's socio-economic situation goes from wost to worst-er, today's announcement by President Poroshenko that the government will take actions to stabilize the currency (which as we previously noted, appears to be heading for hyperinflation) has Ukrainians rushing for the exits into precious metals... with only one goal in mind - wealth preservation.
This is what gold does in a fiat-currency crisis. Now if only Ukraine actually still had some gold...
Furthermore, according to RIA, on Tuesday, Ukrainian television channel Ukraina announced that with the new exchange rate, the minimum wage in Ukraine stands at around $42.90 per month, which according to the channel, is lower than in Ghana or Zambia.
There are currently no plans to raise the minimum wage until December.
Behold hyperinflation:
"Food prices among producers rose 57.1 percent, with the price for grains and vegetables rising 91 percent from January 2014 to January 2015, while the official inflation rate over the period totaled 28.5 percent.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian consumers responded to economic difficulties by cutting their spending in hryvnias by 22.6 percent, which amounts to an almost 40 percent decrease in real consumption."
Nothing to fear though: we are sure all that hard-earned US taxpayer-lent money will be safe and sound.

"Ukrainians rushing for the exits into precious metals... with only one goal in mind - wealth preservation".
I'll never understand the herd. Why would anyone have waited until the bitter end? Does not register with me, but it always works out that way.
I always try and avoid any rush of hoards!
Because it's always conspiracy theory until it becomes conspiracy fact.
As the great author Bill Bonner said:
"People believe what they must believe when they must believe it."
I would add..."Usually all at once!"
And yet Gold in USD just sits there
GOld has no choice but to sit due to the large stack of paper weighing it down. Wonder when that last piece of paper Jenga's the pile...
You can get the same kind of curve in CHF/UAH or USD/UAH...
yeah and you will never see that in a chart of USD/USD
GO(L)D will always triumph over Evil/FIAT currency
Yeah, when Putin puts it in your backdoor, your country is going to hell.
How are things at the State Dept?
I heard someone got let go cause he wanted to diddle an underage prostitute?
Must be he didn't want to play ball like Nudleman does eh?
pods
They probably get a bonus of like 50 bucks per comment under the propaganda program.
I´m not a ´Murican. I live in the Netherlands. Putin´s rebels shot down one of my country commercial plane, killing of 193 dutch citizens, including two family members of me. Everything Putin touches, goes to shit. Including Ukraine, its people, its economy and its currency. Fuck that commie. People clearly don´t like my view, seeing it gets downvoted massivly.
I don´t even know why you bring up prostitutes.
You're not Dutch. We cheeseheads know it was a Malaysian airliner. And 'our' government still hasn't released any proof about the downed airliner so how you can know the Russians did it is beyond me.
Fuck of.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-J4P3rChc0
I am Dutch and that shithead has shit for brains.
What possible motive would Putin have?
Fact is, its Kiev NeoNazis that our fucking Dutch govt cowards support because the USA has a gun to their head.
Watch this carefully

Idiotoflife No wonder you Ukies are losing so badly because even your trolling points are obviously wrong.....perhaps that last piece of GMO rye bread you ate was a bit moldy?
Ditto for most of my Australian countrymen. We lost a chunk of people on that plane and our gov has taken the US propaganda line and buried the truth. No good blaming the government though ... it is the hoardes of stupid, ignorant and apathetic people that gobble it up that are ultimately to blame.
The fact that the tulip eaters won't release the report under "national security" requirements tells you all you need to know. It wasn't Putin nor the Rebels who done the deed. Nothing to see here, time to move along til the next false flag "gotcha"
I think it was Hanoi Hilton John in that fighter jet.
"Putin may be aboard the jet bearing 260."
"Hahahaha, now, Vlad, I get even!"
(Whoosh! Budda Budda!)
"Manchurian One, you have hit the wrong aircraft!"
"Well, all these big jets look alike to me."
The century? His life? Of what? I am ready to know;>)
Hoi, sukkel, misschien je kan beter DIT ff kijken.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-J4P3rChc0
Je ben echt stomme idioot. Wat motive heeft Putin?
Now fuck off, KLOOTZAK
Me no speekee your language, but i think i got the gist of your message. +1!
Als Russia Today zegt dat de russen er niets mee te maken hebben, dan zal het wel zo zijn.
From Google Translate...
If Russia Today says that the Russians have nothing to do with it, then it will be true.
From the text which I wrote...
So you agree that the Russians had nothing to do with it?
Laughing out loud.
Satire does not translate well.
But anybody can use Google Translate and not understand that.
Because you do not understand the nuances of translating language that fact escaped you.
I do not speak any Dutch. But I am aware about how translation is carried out. It is NOT GENERALLY LITERAL

Ukies gettin' hryvnias trying to carry off all that heavy gold.....
Good one, made me snort coffee. First time in weeks I laughed so hard!
I see big opportunities for the payday loan industry. Instead of title loans, maybe gold loans.
Nobody will lend at 10,000/oz and be paid back 10,000, when gold is 20,000/oz next month. Credit will freeze.
If you live in Ukraine and you just now started to think, "Hmm. Maybe something's awry with our economy and I should protect myself by buying precious metals" then if you had been on the Titanic you'd brush off the sudden flurry of talk about the ship sinking until the water was up to your eyeballs.
It's too bad the USA is not watching the Ukraine and saying the same thing while there is still some time left. But,then again, if there were a stampede to PMs, I may be shut out. I think I'll just stay in the shadows, smile at everyone and stack.
Miffed;-)
Yes! If we had the culture like the Indian culture I have lived in a few years, Yanks would be buying up the fizz.
Be grateful USA Serfs are too busy with those fat-bottom girls from the Planet Kardashia and ball games!
I am not going to sit in any shadows. I am going to ring it from the rooftops, be loud as all hell, scare the living hell out of that Pawnbroker below with my Chemical Arsenal, and RECLAIM GOLD, PLATINUM, PALLADIUM, and SILVER from other people's "trash"...
And I will use the other Scrap Metals (Aluminum and Copper) to create Anthill Sculptures with my new Forge and Furnace...along with a lot of other projects which I have in mind...to pay for it.
I have an army of homeless bringing me that "trash for cash".
Check out this video on casting an Anthill Sculpture...

I have destroyed over 100 NSA Tracking Devices with many more scheduled...
and I'm sure from the highs on that chart in 2011 to the grinding lows years later, those who saw what was coming and vigorously bought gold as much as they could month by month, week by week were also called names like gold bugs, retards and fools but then suddenly BOOOOOM. Prepare for the same fate here in the U.S. one day my friends.
Will trade Gold for spent Nato Casings... 10 ton lots only.
I'd part with some of mine for a Blankfein or Dimon skull chalice.
I'd pay double for both and I'd pay triple if Dimon's had his cufflinks installed in the eye sockets.
Is it time to start buying Hyrvnia's? Maybe I could swap some Zimbabwe dollars for some.
DP.
Great chart! Similar to the one for gold priced in roubles..

They must be purchasing Paper Gold. Ukies Gold is no longer there.
I was going to go to Walmart, to buy wallpaper for my office. I guess I'll pick it up at the bank instead.

After the Ukraine is re-absorbed by Russia, Putinski will reactivate Stalin's Gulag for any Solzhenitsyn-like political dissidents !
You can't eat gold. The only people who should be buying gold are those who have 20 years of fuel, food, drink, meds etrc.
That would be dependent upon where you are located and your standing in the community.
Why? They're hijacking the world's food production.
can you eat paper money?
can you eat anything except food?
You seem to be a full moron with your (un)logic.
fool
I can last for about 90 Days on a high protein sustenance diet.
How much does it cost to buy 90 cans of Chicken Breast and 25 Lbs of Rice? It is enough Calories to sustain yourself. One meal per day. One hundred bucks? Chump change. Bon appetite.
So lets vary the diet and add some meals...How many cans of Beef Stew do you have? Do you have any Canned Ham? How much Flour do you have? Do you have any Yeast? Do you have Velveeta Cheese? Canned Fruits? Canned Vegetables?
I have it. It does not cost that much. Hell less than $1000 spent today will set you up in relative splendor compared to those whom have nothing.
Can you purify water? How much can you store? That is where any problems will arise.
If it gets that bad I am probably dead anyway.
But Twenty Years is a little extreme. Don't you think? Foods are perishable. I rotate stock as it is.
So I wil buy Gold and Silver. You are free to starve if you so choose.
Pol Pot Shenko: We Khazarian oligarchs promise not to steal from Ukrainian sheeple for a solid 24 hours.
As a staunch liberal I am against gold because I don't understand gold, fiat money, hyperinflation, inflation, money, monetary theory, economics, or history.
Was that an attempt at a joke
Kind of misleading... when your currency collapses, EVERYTHING goes up in price relative to your currency....
This is for some of my Dutch shit for brains countrymen here that believe Putin shot down MH17.
Evidently these morons have never heard of a false flag attack.
What possible motive would Putin have? then think about the motive KIEV would have. Don't stress your ONE brain cell, Klootzaks!!

If paper money is SO great, why don't they hand out Fiat Medals to winners of Olympic Games events?....
"There are currently no plans to raise the minimum wage until December."
Two words: Food riots.
What are Right Sektor and the other Neo Nazis waiting for? Ukrainian necktie for Pol Pot Shenko. "The Qaddafi" anal bayonetting for Yat the Rat. Neo Nazis talk a good game. It's only fun when they are slaughtering Trade Unionists.

Joe Lewis? There was a martial artist of some repute by that name, but he's way past it. Ahhh, you mean, Joe Louis. Unfortunately, he's beyond being way past it. How about Bieber versus the loser of Mayweather v Pacquiao? Same weight class, more or less. The Biebes goes down inside of the first minute, three knockdown rule.
Good luck buying gold in Ukraine at short notice. Bitcoin edition bitches, you can buy even before the banks open.

The Lvovians who were jumping so crazily on the Maidan are now displaying a similar level energy when jumping from store to store in search of food. They are not even looking at labels, but are rather grabbing anything they can find, including goods marked with the Russian flag. The inhabitants of Ternopol are liable to kill each other over a bottle of sunflower seed oil, whose price has grown with every day.
There is a genuine food hysteria in Galicia which is due to the import tax which was introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers led by their beloved Prime Minister Yatsenyuk, and to the catastrophic fall of the hryvnya. The devaluation is causing Lvovians to clear the shelves while refraining from mentioning Bandera, yelling “Glory to Ukraine,” or even singing the national anthemhttp://fortruss.blogspot.com/2015/02/food-maidan-shortages-and-panic-buy...
Karma is a bitch and karmic retribution comes in myriad forms.
You motherfuckers shot down MH17 so you will NOW PAY and PAY.
Thats no compairson, its like saying someone is willing to exchange shit for sugar
Everything priced in Hryvnia has done that. D'oh.
Wages haven't it seems.....
After yet another fall in the Ukrainian currency, the Hryvnia, the minimum wage in Ukraine has reached an all-time low: 1218 Hryvnia is now worth less than 43 US dollars.
Even in the impoverished countries of Bangladesh, Ghana and Zambia, people receive around 4 dollars more. Significantly wealthier are those in the African countries of Lesotho, Gambia and Chad, where the minimum wage is as high as 51 dollars.

(Hyper)Inflation kick in !
How do they say Assignat in Ukrainian ?
How do they say Zimbabwe in Ukrainian ?
Invert the graph and it shows tha value of your currency.
"This is what gold does in a fiat-currency crisis"
If I remove the word "fiat-" in the above quote ... have I changed its meaning in any significant way?
Hmmm. I wonder if there was a big rush on the Ikea store in Kiev.
Probably shopping for firewood
They'll be chopping, not shopping.
"money" isn't everything...apparently
In Lvov capital of Galicia Ukraine, the home base for the pro Nazi political movement, the store shelves have been stripped bare as citizens scramble to stock up, in the face of rising prices, falling currency and rising import duties. Pictures reveal many stores with total shelf stripping, and fights were reported in several places.
Now mind you, Lvov is the very center of the Coup Leaders support, the place American and Israeli intelligence and NGOs have spent 20 years nurturing radical rightwing elements, Neo Nazis and Ukrainian ultra nationalists. This is the place the people are 90% behind the Junta and the war in the east. If this is how the Juntas top support base is acting, imagine the unrest in the rest of these deeply divided nation!
I have not heard any reports of organized back lash to the currency collapse yet.
You can imagine the Crimea right now. Safely behind a guarded border in which no Euro Maidan can penetrate. They are free from all Kiev rule, no Junta armies can attack with any hope of success, their fortunes now rest with the Russian Federation. And that state is in no way at all to be comapred with Junta Ukraine.
How will the USA and EU react to the collapse of Ukraine's economy and now currency. 17.5 billion Euro just handed over has not helped, in fact, just after the hand over of the money, this currency collapse happened. It is reported that just to stablize Ukraine, before any rebuilding can begin, 50 billion Euro must be handed over now, on top of the 17.5. That is for this year 2015 ONLY. Costs going forward are in the hundreds of billions. All from EU tax payers, who are each being ordered to pay billions to Ukraine, who is not even in the EU. Greece, itsele, is indeed being asked for hundreds of millions of Euro, to be paid to Brussels for shipment to Ukraine! All of Europe must pay for America's Kiev coup! Let history record how they like it.
Good post, Jack Burton
However the Ukraine situation plays out, it will not end well.
And in the other (related) news:
Austin-based think tank Stratfor has released its Decade Forecast 2015-2025, predicting the imminent collapse of Russia and the EU and the decline of China, while the US and its allies flourish.
Well, thank Heavens for that. I was getting concerned.
Jorgen, the report assumes the dismemberment of Russia, with the USSA stealing her resources, and China neutered. It is USSA state department Hopium
Here is a rebuttal to Stratfor's/CIA's 'anal-ISIS':
I consider Stratfor's/CIA's 'anal-ISIS' a wishful thinking rather than a forecast. Time will show in 10 years.
Another good post from Jack Burton.
In other articles on Ukraine's currency collapse, including one on ZH today, "Ukraine Enters The Endgame", it is stated that the first advance of the $17.5 Billion will not occur until Ukraine's Rada approves a budget implementing cuts to social programs and subsidies to Ukraine's consumers. The earliest that an advance could occur seems to be mid-March, if the Rada cooperates, but there is strong resistance in the Rada to so unpopular a move as removal of subsidies.
Now that the US/EU/NATO cabal see how much it will cost to resurrect Ukraine's economy, none of them wants it for any purpose other than as a geopolitical weapon against Russia.
But Poroshenko just announced a mulitmillion dollar arms purchase from the UAE, no doubt paid for by Uncle Sam, so no lack of funding for arms purchases.

Busted: Iraqi Army Downs 2 UK Planes Carrying Weapons for ISIL
"The Iraqi Parliament's National Security and Defense Committee has access to the photos of both planes that are British and have crashed while they were carrying weapons for the ISIL," Head of the committee Hakem al-Zameli said, according to a Monday report of the Arabic-language information center of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq.
He said the Iraqi parliament has asked London for explanations in this regard.
http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13931204001534
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahaha
The Iranian article continues:
"...Baghdad is receiving daily reports from people and security forces in al-Anbar province on numerous flights by the US-led coalition planes that airdrop weapons and supplies for ISIL in terrorist-held areas."
If true, one should not be surprised that Britain is doing this. Today, the empty suit David Cameron announced that he's sending British boots on the ground to Ukraine ....just as the ceasefire negotiated by Germany/France appears to be holding. And Obola is sending weapons to Poroshenko via the UAE.
Clearly, Washington & Westminster are not happy with the ceasefire and want moar war.
This quote is from a Euro Madian Patriot and Junta supporter in Kiev. Just a sample of one person with clear insight.
" there is no coal, and we have to pay for it with hard currency, but there is no more hard currency because its main source was the Donbass and associated industries in the South. All assets have been expended to support the army, and we are not developing the internal market. Then there’s Yatsenyuk and the failure of his reforms: we are living only thanks to imports."
I read on the Internet that pent-up Chinese demand would send gold way up today when their Lunar New Year holiday ended. But I can't see that it shot up much. I guess there wasn't that much pent-up demand there. Strange.
More from the same source. This next is typical of Western Euopean finance capitalism that has arrive in Kiev with a vegance!
"
Then, Gontareva…She gave out financing to anyone and everyone, saved billionaires and multi-millionnaires, but her second crime was that she allowed them to use that money to play games on currency markets: they borrowed hryvnya at 20% and waited until it ballooned to 200. The third crime was that she allowed hard currency to desert to the West through fictitious import contracts. The fourth crime was that she dropped the hryvnya in the search for a more balanced exchange rate under the conditions of wartime—which is nonsense."stock up on food. cant eat gold.
You don't eat gold. You use it to buy a food producing company.
Condoms and paper clips rapidly value too. Look to Venezuela.
One case right now where BTATFH may be prudent, if you are a Ukie
gold watches = precious metal time
33K Hry.....or whatever the currency is,,,,is alot of freakin months of labor---like 2 years of labor!!!
Man, it’s looking like a possibility one gold coin really will buy an apartment building!
I wonder if Poroshenko likes the smell of hyper-inflation in the morning.
buy gold and other tips for recession preparation.
http://michaelekelley.com/2014/10/16/8-things-to-do-when-recession-happens/
Yo the graph of everything compared against Ukrainian currency looks like that.
Asswipe, That's what will become the number one shortage.
Just like Venezuela, there will be nothing to wipe your ass with.
Except of course the more pointless useless wrong texture, wrong color, wrong shape and wrong absorbency sheets of paper showered on the Ukies by the billions by the cretinous Mr Fuckface La Haggard at the IMF and the shit for brains cretins at the ECB.
When will they learn that are not the best suited in selling toiletry requisites, or was everything done to smash the Ukies so they could force their own brand of toilet paper on them
Here is something that I wrote 6 years ago (2009) in response to personal experiences, research and diplomatic meetings I have attended.
It was the lead editorial in the Kiev Post and Moscow Times.
Please not the Russian response (as written) to 9/11 and the fact that they were 100% with us in going after Al Quaeda.
. I have been living in Sevastopol, Ukraine, a largely Russian city for six months. There are several reasons I am living in Sevastopol. The most important of which is that I feel that the people and leaders of the United States know very little about Russia and greater Eastern Europe. If the relationship between the eastern regions of the world, and the West is going to improve, that needs to change. Why has the American/Russian relationship worsened?
The best starting point for this discussion begins on Sept. 11, 2001. Shortly after the attacks in New York City, the first world leader to call President Bush was then Russian President Vladimir Putin. President Putin assured President Bush that he would “stand-down” all Russian troops, and offered his condolences and full support. In the months following the Sept. 11 attacks, Russia provided the U.S. with valuable topographical information, maps, logistical information, and perhaps most surprisingly, even assisted the United States in transporting military equipment to Afghanistan. Many of us can still remember seeing video clips of the massive Russian military AN-124 planes being loaded up with American military equipment. It seemed to me that the United States had no better friend than the Russian Federation of States in the months following 9/11.
The U.S. response to this outpouring of support from Russia was not only confusing, but to many Russian leaders, nothing less than insulting. In the wake of unmitigated support towards the U.S. by Russia, the North American Treaty Alliance -- originally designed to contain the Soviet Union -- was expanding rapidly, all of this despite the fact that the U.S.S.R. no longer existed.
NATO now includes the Baltic nations of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, all bordering Russia. Inside of Russian diplomatic circles, antagonism towards the United States began to simmer.
2004: The year it all collapsed
The year 2004 will go down in history as the most terrible one in the post-2001 era for U.S.-Russian relations. It is not only the year that Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, (all who border Russia) were officially voted as new NATO member states, by the U.S. Congress, but perhaps even more importantly, the year that the U.S. and Russia opposed different candidates in what we now refer to as “The Orange Revolution.” The U.S. was supporting the “pro-Western” candidate Victor Yushenko, and Russia was supporting the more “pro-Russian” candidate Victor Yanukovich. During the turmoil of this election, I happened to visit the Harvard University-affiliated Ukrainian Institutehttp://www.huri.harvard.edu/
During the “Orange Revolution celebration” and got involved in a heated intellectual debate regarding the situation in Ukraine. The room was an ocean of Orange shirts and scarfs, and what I had to say was not at all welcomed by the crowd to say the least.
I commented that this not just about whether Ukraine should be “pro-Western” or pro-Russian. I said that the natural state of affairs for Ukraine is to have strong relations with both Russia, and Western Europe. The idea that Ukraine needs to “choose” whether it is solely pro-Russia or pro-Western is simply nonsensical. The Orange Revolution was transforming into a Ukrainian rejection of all things Russian which, to anyone with even a low-level of knowledge about Ukraine, was incredibly absurd. Ukraine and Russia have a 2,063 kilometer border and over 20 percent of Ukraine is native Russian. The premise of the Orange Revolution was to ignore these truths, which meant it was doomed for disaster from Day 1. At the Orange Revolution conference, I warned all in attendance that, should the future hold efforts for Ukraine to become a NATO state, the repercussions from Russia would be disastrous. Interestingly, recent polls throughout Ukraine, even in western Ukraine, consistently show that the majority of Ukrainian people are strongly opposed to Ukraine joining NATO. Not all Ukrainians share the same language, but they do share the same views towards NATO.
The disturbingly irrational nature of the Orange Revolution conference then led me to further investigate the freefall in U.S.-Russian relations. During the pivotal winter of 2004, I decided to also attend a diplomatic conference at Harvard University during which former senior ambassador to Finland, Derek Shearer, gave a presentation about the then-declining state of international affairs between the U.S. and the rest of the international community. Coincidentally, Ambassador Shearer was also a classmate of then-President George W. Bush when they both attended Yale University together 30 years earlier.
At the close of the presentation, there was an opportunity for me to directly ask Ambassador Shearer several important questions. These questions all centered around the rapid expansion of NATO, and the resulting decline of U.S./Russian relations. I made the assertion that the NATO expansion and the then freefall in U.S./Russian relations were directly related, to my surprise, Ambassador Shearer agreed.
I then asked him to respond to the prevailing Russian assertions of the time that the Bush administration was simply reckless regarding U.S. relations with Russia, and he had an interesting response. Ambassador Shearer commented that the Bush administration “simply didn’t care what the Russians thought, and that the preceding Clinton Administration was also far from perfect when it came to respecting Russian views.” He then asked the room: “Does anyone here even know who the lead U.S. Ambassador to Russia is?: In a room full of ambassadors and professors, nobody knew the answer. This seemed to prove his assertion that the U.S. relationship with Russia was at best, given a very low priority. After a brief and awkward moment of silence, I finally answered, “Yes, it is Alexander Vershbow!” Ambassador Shearer then commented that Vershbow was formerly an “assistant” to Sandy Berger, former adviser to President Bill Clinton, and seemed to insinuate strongly that Vershbow was simply not very qualified for such a high-level position. He asserted that the reason Vershbow has the job is that: “Many people simply don’t think the position is very important, and perhaps he knew the right people.”
The current situation
Relations between Russia and the United States continue to be strained, to say the least. The Yushchenko “Orange Revolution” administration now enjoys an approval rating of less than 5 percent, and the Ukraine is suffering greatly in the midst of economic crisis. It is now widely accepted that corruption in the Ukraine is even greater than it was before the “Orange Revolution” took place.
What should the U.S. do to correct its numerous diplomatic blunders?
The first thing that the U.S. should do is to simply let Russia know that it has absolutely no intentions of pursuing Ukrainian and/or Georgian admission to NATO. The U.S. should then work aggressively to normalize relations with Russia. It appears (to the credit of the President Barack Obama administration), that some of these efforts are already underway. President Dmitry Medvedev and Obama have both already announced that the U.S. and Russia are engaged in ongoing talks; the most optimistic outcome of which will be a massive reduction in weapons of mass destruction held by both countries. To sustain any positive changes into the future, the U.S. will need to work far more cooperatively with Russia by creating and sustaining relations that are far more bilateral in nature than they have been over these past eight years.
Perhaps the most important thing the U.S. needs is a simple “thank you” and a “promise.” The U.S. needs to thank Russia for having been a true friend in the months following 9/11, and promise her that similar gestures will never go unnoticed or be taken in vain again. Then and only then can we truly begin to normalize relations between the U.S. and Russia.
The press flames us with such stupid krap. I'm nowhere near the east coast and I had not heard of that teardrop until you brought it up. Putin has so much class.
IN light of Ukraine's blunders, I noticed-out here even. That Russians are not hostile to the Ukraine. I'm more hostile to the Ukraine than they are - because of racism.
I do hope that Merkle and the rest of Europe and even Asia come to their senses about this format. A conflict between the Ukraine (backed by goofs from the U.S.) and Russia is so unnecessary.
Had this conversation with someone the other day. He said "Who the fu-k is going to want gold when the sh-t hits the fan?" Well. I hope he's good at identifying edible wild plants.
When the "shit hits the fan", gold ain't gonna buy you NOTHING.
My understanding is that there is going to be a very short nuclear war triggered by an unexpected party. The northern Hemisphere will be pretty much done for human life. The rich will relocate to poor countries, but they will be treated as they formerly treated said 'poor'.
The surviving remnant will discover how to neutralize radiation.
There is a refuge, but it's not what you expect.
http://www.locutions.org/read-the-locutions/ http://afterthewarning.com/
Yeah, that's cute but it's depreciating against all currencies. You could slap a dollar chart on there you'd get something very similar. We get it. Gold goes up in a crisis. Crisis is coming. All fiat is going to zero. Eventually. Well... it's been a few years since 2008 and if you broke out your first batch of emergency food your'e pretty much scraping the bottom of your stockpile by now.
A little bit less of this "the sky is falling the sky is falling" shit might be a more prudent approach don't you think.
When I was in a war zone I was in war zone. I wasn't getting shot at every fucking 2 minutes. Let's all take a deep breath and try to be a little bit more astute.
This disaster was brought to you by the US State Department and the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Yeah, gold will increase in value. But how much in taxes will you owe? Sure, I understand you lost your gold in the lake but good luck convincing IRS of that when you buy anything of value.
within 2 weeks of take power all the Ukraine Physical Gold are gone, looted by our banker.... What a shame no more Physical Gold but John McCain will sell arm to a broke nation.
Business as normal, profit come first.
