well, WildBillSeven, evil is a subject not undertaken lightly. and employing "evil" as a term should always be reserved for that which can only be classified as such. "evil" as a word chimes a certain chord and conjures a vague and harrowing concept; with each repetition, and with it a repetition associated with something concrete, "evil" as a term assumes greater and greater definition, until the concept and the concrete association are merged in the minds of the many.
rather predictably, "hitler" is the first and reflexive concretion most will associate with "evil" if asked on the street. but are they answering as if to suggest that "hitler" is a personification of evil, as a distinct and objectifiable entity informing our concept of evil by his character; or are they offering "hitler" as metaphor for "evil" as an archetype for sentient malevolence manifest in this one single individual that 'transfixed' a nation? that is to say, did "hitler" define "evil" or was "evil" a distinct and identifiable substance concentrated in this one man and he merely conformed to its contours, because evil is as evil does? it's an interesting question.
many may now think that janus is calling into question the issue of hitler and the evilness of his deeds. i am not. the good men do is oft interred with their bones, and so let it be with hitler. what i am instead saying is that, for someone like janus, hitler is a fascinating study on the nature of "evil".
it is a distinct and consistent quality of "evil", its relative magnitude as a proportion to the proximity of the individual affected. in other words, evil is a relative concept. we can, for example, hear of distant atrocities and shrug; but look out if sally-jo is gossiping about us down at the beauty salon...we will literally simmer with rage at the unspeakably slanderous gossip when its personal and peddled by that tramp, sally-jo; and then ho-hum or tsk-tsk a bit when it's far-off savages roasting their babies on spits.
we imagine evil as a potential or kinetic harm to our persons; and upon that which we can agree as "evil" we ban with laws, initiate wars against and launch crusades. but as with all public maneuverings of the hive-mind, the individual caught within the grip of its cause should ask, "qui bono?". just who is it that benefits if i consent to the appreciation of any given peoples, faiths or political persuasions as "evil". invariably, it isn't the individual. shiller once said, "the concrete life of the individual is destroyed such that the abstract idea of the whole may drag out its sorry existence." okay, so, here's the thing: bizarre and seemingly irrational as it may on the surface appear, i accept this understanding of evil in relation to its proximity to me, janus.
now, i certainly recognize that the individual benefits by his association to a group; we are, after all, social creatures -- but only to a certain point. and that is where the individual is giving more than he is getting of those very things that constitute the salient qualities of his humanity; namely, his freedom and independence. we 'should' consent to be governed only to the extent that it protects our liberties. but we are well past that point. we are now governed for our own good as decided by others. oh, well...the enlightenment was nice while it lasted.
my point is, hitler has been way outdone in the ways of that which is quantifiably evil; it is only that he was able to effect such an enormous share of evil on earth that we should consider in the debate. and so we should ask ourselves: was it hitler that was evil or the measure of evil he was able to effect because of the resources made available to evil by the massive power accrued in modern nation states? and so the seminal question begs before the first can be properly answered: should nation-states of such unimaginable power be permitted on earth? because, inevitably, power in such a scheme is concentrated and it is similarly inevitable that an evil will assume the personified force in charge of that power (given enough time). and though it may not be immediately appreciable how evil it truly is, by virtue of the magnitude of the power it has to inflict its terror it will reveal itself in a horrific spectacle as such. and the good or evil of its actions will be relative to 'qui bono'.
and so it is of great amusement to janus when he considers the individual's understanding of what is and is not evil and its proportional potential to do him harm. the 'good' guys are now tapping your phones, taxing your labors, sending your sons and daughters to wars, subverting your very person to the prerogatives of state and we are inculcated with night terrors over this seventy year dead phantom from a failed state? and so i say that hitler is evil, yes; but not so much "hitler" as "evil" personified, but instead for what he represents: the inevitable evil of power as a force inimical to individuals in ALL powerful nation states.

Ok, this is four or five days after 9/11. I had a training course scheduled in Crystal Reports that took me to Philadephia. n It happened that the day before the training course air travel was once again allowed. Through my copmany they found it would be cheaper to send my ass with my dad (back then I was CFO of a telecommunications company) because of some geezer program (we're both geezers).
So, we're on one of the first flights to take off after 9/11. Dad and I are eyeing the other passengers. They're eyeing us. We're thinking we can take that guy, that guy and I'm gonna need help with that guy. The others are eyeing us with a unanimous I can take those two codgers out, but that guy over there is the real threat..
It was tense. An entire Delta L-1011 with fourteen people in it. Naturally, on Delta, you can't get to hell without a stop in Atlanta, we land in Atanta, GA. In Atlanta you could have shot a cannon down any concourse without harming a soul. It was freaky weird to see how empty it was.
We fly to Philidelphia. We get to a hotel that is right in front of the Rocmy Museum. Don't remember how high it was, but we were more than two stories up (I'm a Californian, I want ground floor or second story). Go to the class that is on the 50th story of whatever building it was...had to leave multiple times during class just to get away from being that high up when, at any moment, the whole thing could collapse from a hard cough...I hate when floors wiggle when I walk. Anyway, do my class, dad out prowling the town.
Get a call from my company to tell me that they planned a little surprise, since my trip was so cheap because of my dad, they had added a few extras for the next three days. An extra day in Philadephia, and a trip to DC for two days with the weekend following.
I've never had a company do that for me before, or ever since.
So, Dad and I have a night bar-crawling in Philadelphia. Early in the evening we find some shithole where's there's this old lady asking for drinks. We bought the bar drinks in her name for a couple of hours. As a result we found an illegal Mexican (we know because he told us) who was familiar with the area and we hired him to show us the various bars in the area. (Great kid. Though I abhor illegal immigration, I, and my family, absolutely love Mexican people and their culture. These are the most solid working people on earth and they are actually, absolutely, honest in a 1950's sort of way. I do love real Mexicans (not so much their failures that we've been importing)). We explained that we want an Irish Bar and he knew the exact right one after hanging with us for a few hours.
He was correct.
So, Dad and I head up to Whoreington, DC...about a week after 9/11. The whole city is in absolute panic. Dad and I are like WTF. DC is/was Ground Zero friom the 50's to the 90's, why the fuck are they in a panic now? We're at the Capital Hill Hilton. Hitlery Clinton walks past, Dad and I spit at her direction (too far away to be effective or noticed), while the entire fucking bar erupts in chatter. Dad and I are the ONLY people in tthe area that have no association with government other than we are normal fucking people (well, Dad thirty five year USAF, me about three months USMC with shitty knees). We're normal people in the land of psychopaths. Wew've visited our Representative, Jerry Lewis, and told him explicitedly that we should do 'Absolutely nothing until we know who did this, then, when we know, for a fact, who did this, take them, their familly, and anyone associated with them, out of the world, whereever they are.
Later that day, (same day that deadly bitch walked thriough the bar), My dad and I talked similar themes. We were surrounded by people, a lot of peoiple.
Between my Dad and I, we explained we really don't give a shit about anyone in WDC. We could care less if it was nuked, our government inc destroyed, and everyone in the bar was vaporized. If this particular shit hole was nuked we'd put up a new government in somewhere appropirate, like Idaho or Montana, where conditions were generally miserable and no on would want to go.
(Had to console a black IRS lady that was freaked over that thought. My consolation was that it wasn't directed at her personally. It was at everyone there. (I know, a pretty shitty consolation, but she DID work at the IRS.))
Boils down to...Dad and I reign in the Capital Hill Hilton amid hundreds of goobermint workers. We tell them unequivacobly. "Do nothing until you know, for a fact, who did this. Once you know, for a fact, who they are, take them out, whereever they are in the world."
Next day, Dad and I visit the Capital. Our dumb fuck representative that should be a street light decoration told us to go through a side door, continue on until we got to a corridor and go up to security.
Dad and I go through the door, another door, another door, another door...and we're standing on the floor of the US Congress in session. Both of us say "Oh, Fuck!" and turn around, out the door, and up the hall. We get to the top and we encounter hyper-vilgelent security, that just let us wander onto the floor of Congress in session, who do a limited check on Dad, but come close to an intimate fingering of me. (Dad has the artillary.) We're 'clean' and allowed to go up to the gallery.
Now, I have to mention that after 20+ years on USAF flight lines as one of the top USAF mechanics...Dad's a bit deaf, (No, he's deaf, can't hear a thins). We're two of the six people in the Gallery. Congress is voting to suspend the rules to allow Bush unlimited ability to go after terrorists by suspending the rules related to declaring war (or some such shit).
Now imagine those two old muppets shown up in the balcony. That was us. Deaf Dad, as I told him what they had voted for, saud,
'THAT'S SOME SERIOUS SHIT! THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE!"
Every head in the House turned towards us as Security came down the isle and asked us to leave. I've never know if it was heard on television or not.
As to the war on terror, where we're all over the fucking world...I apologixe, at the time I didn't know about false-flags, government lies, or anything else. All I knew is that I wanted whoever was responsible, where ever in the world, to be nuked, literally or figuratively. Little did I know that it was DC that should have/be nuked.
Had Saturday to drive though about seven little States, just for the joy of it, to get to NY city, just to say we'd been there. Parked at some town in New Jersey, near wyhat we thought was a subway. Turned out to be a 'Path', but it was our first subway. Dad and I treated it as an E-ticket ride...even asking why they don't open the front door for an extra thrill. Someone said, you really don't want to have what's blowing in to be all over you. A soft rebuke for what we had momentarily forgot. The subways were filled with human ashes.
Good story. And you didn't miss anything with the USMC, it sucked.

Securing the homeland but for whom was my response. I think we know the answer. All these years of daily hysterical news has allowed the new owners to shift into place, begin operation and we do not even realize it. Mission Accomplished may have been the century it took to overthrow the US govt - with this covert war culminating into 911.
Military members in all of our countries, being paid tax dollars being used to eliminate us is the real killer though. We are funding our own demise. Interviewing us will not be necessary - our shopping habits, internet travel, stops and destinations will determine who we are. And that will determine whether we are against them (and only fools who will be the last to mop up would not be against this overthrow of the American govt without the words even being whispered out loud. And they never will be. Internet is not going to show the world what is going on in America is what I fear.

Massachusetts' governor has fired Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber from a board that oversees the state's health insurance exchange, a source confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
Gruber ignited a controversy last December when a series of videos surfaced where the Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor discussed the “stupidity of the American voter” was vital to passing the 2010 Affordable Care Act.
Gov. Charlie Baker, a Republican asked Gruber and three others to resign from the board, a source told the Washington Examiner. The other three board members are George Gonser, John Bertko and Rick Jakious.
An immediate reason for the firing was not clear Wednesday night. The resignations appear to give Baker majority control on the exchange's board, according to Boston’s CBS affiliate, which first reported the firing.
Baker wrote in a letter to the board members that he wanted new members to "take a fresh look at" the state's exchange, called the Massachusetts Health Connector, according to a report on Twitter from Jon Keller, political analyst at the CBS affiliate.
Gruber did not immediately return an emailed request for comment.

It's not so much the stupidity of the American voter. It's what the American voter has to work with from the information that he/she has. When we have crony capitalism in the news that publishes nothing but lies it's very hard to determine what is the truth other than voting totally against what is recommended...except that may be the plan all along.

I used to read twenty newspapers a night from around the world, with a couple of youtube subscriptions...now, I have over fifty world news links and seldom check youtube. ZeroHedge and Ann Barnhart are the first two places I look for counter-news.
The only entity that is worth a fuck is the Coast Guard and maybe the Border Patrol if they are allowed to do their job. Defund the rest.

try and take all the down-voting bull-shit with a grain of salt...in a wierd way, these ornery fuckers agree with you...they're just saying that it's all so fucked, why waste time pointing out a few flashes of legitimacy. but, for whatever it's worth, i kinda like charlie baker, too. he doesn't seem to be too beholden to the cambridge crowd; and since we're talking about massachusetts (home of the progressive-celebrity-politician), it's odd to see a state-level official that seems more interested in the mechanics of government than their federal-level ambitions. and again, for whatever it's worth, they've done a masterful job managing the snow. hat's off, guys.
