From One Non-Profit To Another - Jay Carney Moves To Amazon
As one wit noted, it appears former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney is moving from one non-profit organization to another. As Politico reports, Carney joins Amazon on Monday as senior vice president for Worldwide Corporate Affairs - reporting directly to Jeff Bezos and topping current veteran PR Chief Paul Misener.
Mike Allen’s Politico Playbook will report:
“Former White House Press Secretary Jay Carney joins Amazon on Monday as senior vice president for Worldwide Corporate Affairs.
The new position brings the e-commerce giant’s worldwide public relations and public policy shops into one department under Carney. He’ll split his time between Seattle HQ and the D.C. office, where Amazon veteran Paul Misener will continue to run the company’s lobbying efforts.
Misener and PR chief Craig Berman will now report to Carney, who in turn will report directly to CEO Jeff Bezos. Carney will give up his post-White House perch as a senior political analyst on CNN to focus full time on Amazon.”

Just yesterday I was explaining how Amazon would be the entity that solves the logistical problems of global internet sales tax, and offering it as a service to other sellers.
They may end up as tight with the Treasury as that other private corp called the Federal Reserve.
Amazon expects to have a lot of antitrust trouble, because they have earned it.
They also bought the Washington Post, aka Propaganda Central.
Which is a good enough reason to cancel your Amazon Account.
Any company that thinks it needs such a silver tounged devil such as Jay Carney deserves the scrutiny it invites.

Translation: Amazon now has a "new" officer in charge of kickbacks, corruption, crony capitalism, and influence peddling.
