Most Americans Are Slaves And They Don't Even Know It
Submitted by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,
Most Americans spend their lives working for others, paying off debts to others and performing tasks that others tell them that they “must” do. These days, we don’t like to think of ourselves as “servants” or “slaves”, but that is what the vast majority of us are. It is just that the mechanisms of our enslavement have become much more sophisticated over time. It has been said that the borrower is the servant of the lender, and most of us start going into debt very early into our adult years. In fact, those that go to college to “get an education” are likely to enter the “real world” with a staggering amount of debt. And of course that is just the beginning of the debt accumulation.
Today, when you add up all mortgage debt, all credit card debt and all student loan debt, the average American household is carrying a grand total of 203,163 dollars of debt. Overall, American households are more than 11 trillion dollars in debt at this point. And even though most Americans don’t realize this, over the course of our lifetimes the amount of money that we will repay on our debts is far greater than the amount that we originally borrowed. In fact, when it comes to credit card debt you can easily end up repaying several times the amount of money that you originally borrowed. So we work our fingers to the bone to pay off these debts, and the vast majority of us are not even working for ourselves. Instead, our work makes the businesses that other people own more profitable. So if we spend the best years of our lives building businesses for others, servicing debts that we owe to others and making others wealthier, what does that make us?
In 2015, the words “servant” and “slave” have very negative connotations, and we typically don’t use them very much.
Instead, we use words like “employee” because they make us feel so much better.
But is there really that much of a difference?
This is how Google defines “servant”…
“a person who performs duties for others, especially a person employed in a house on domestic duties or as a personal attendant.”
This is how Google defines “slave”…
“a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them.”
This is how Google defines “employee”…
“a person employed for wages or salary, especially at nonexecutive level.”
Yes, most of us might not be “legal property” of someone else in a very narrow sense, but in a broader sense we all have to answer to someone.
We all have someone that we must obey.
And we all have obligations that we must meet or else face the consequences.
At this point, Americans are more dependent on the system than ever before. Small business ownership in the U.S. is at a record low, and the percentage of Americans that are self-employed has fallen to unprecedented levels in recent years. From a very early age, we are trained to study hard so that we can get a good “job” (“just over broke”) and be good cogs in the system.
But is that what life is about?
Is it about being a cog in a system that ultimately benefits others?
Perhaps you don’t think that any of this applies to you personally.
Well, if someone came up to you and asked you what you truly own, what would you say?
Do you own your vehicle?
Most Americans don’t.
In fact, today the average auto loan at signing is approximately $27,000, and many of them stretch on for six or seven years.
What about your home?
Do you own it?
Most Americans don’t.
In fact, overall the banks have a much greater “ownership” interest in our homes and our land than we do.
But even if you have your home totally “paid off”, does that mean that you actually “own” it?
Well, no, not really.
Just see what happens if you quit paying your property taxes (rent) to the proper authorities.
So if they can take your home away from you for not paying rent (property taxes), do you really own it?
That is something to think about it.
What about all of your stuff?
Do you own it?
Perhaps.
But a very large percentage of us have willingly enslaved ourselves in order to acquire all of that stuff.
Today, the typical U.S. household that has at least one credit card has approximately $15,950 in credit card debt.
And if you do not pay off those credit card balances, the credit card companies will unleash the hounds on you.
Have you ever had an encounter with a debt collector?
They can be absolutely brutal. And they use those tactics because they work. In fact, they are so good at what they do that many of those that own debt collection companies have become exceedingly wealthy. The following is from a recent CNN article…
Yachts. Mansions. Extravagant dinner parties. Life is good for the founders of one of the nation’s biggest government debt collectors.
That firm, Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, rakes in big money from government contracts that allow it to pursue debtors over toll violations, taxes and parking tickets. While the debts often start small, the Austin-based firm charges high fees, which can add hundreds or even thousands of dollars to the bill.
After growing this business from a small Texas law firm in the late 1970’s to a nationwide debt collection powerhouse, the firm’s founders and top brass have walked away with millions of dollars.
And I haven’t even mentioned our collective debts yet.
We have willingly chosen to collectively enslave ourselves on a local, a state and a national level.
It is bad enough that we are doing this to ourselves. But we are also cruelly saddling future generations of Americans with the largest mountain of debt in the history of the planet. The following is from my previous article entitled “Barack Obama Says That What America Really Needs Is Lots More Debt“…
When Barack Obama took the oath of office, the U.S. national debt was 10.6 trillion dollars. Today, it has surpassed the 18 trillion dollar mark. And even though we are being told that “deficits are going down”, the truth is that the U.S. national debt increased by more than a trillion dollars in fiscal 2014. But that isn’t good enough for Obama. He says that we need to come out of this period of “mindless austerity” and steal money from our children and our grandchildren even faster. In addition, Obama wants to raise taxes again. His budget calls for 2 trillion dollars in tax increases over the next decade. He always touts these tax increases as “tax hikes on the rich”, but somehow they almost always seem to end up hitting the middle class too. But whether or not Congress ever adopts Obama’s new budget is not really the issue. The reality of the matter is that the “tax and spend Democrats” and the “tax and spend Republicans” are both responsible for getting us into this mess. Future generations of Americans are already facing the largest mountain of debt in the history of the planet, and both parties want to make this mountain of debt even higher. The only disagreement is about how fast it should happen. It is a national disgrace, but most Americans have come to accept this as “normal”. If our children and our grandchildren get the opportunity, they will curse us for what we have done to them.
So can we really call ourselves the “home of the brave and the land of the free”?
Isn’t the truth that the vast majority of us are actually deeply enslaved?

As you speak of yourself, so do you program yourself. That is the basis for countless self-improvement programs throughout time.
And you call that programming, that indoctrination, self improvement? Really?
Just what does that improve?
"And gosh darnit, people like me!"
Shove your affirmation up your puckerhole.
And they will be even more so if Obama gets to ban ammo
And, what do you mean, "I don't pay my bills"?
Why do you think I'm broke? Huh?

If you owe anyone money, payable only in Fiat Dollars, you are a slave. Since the US Government Taxes us all, just for being alive, and demands that they be paid this tax in Fiat Dollars, we are born slaves. Each American at birth is obligated by Federal Law to pay the US Government national debts, over 18 trillion, you owe this and are obligated to pay in Fiat Dollars just be being born on US soil. Thus you are a slave.
All these free Americans. Don't pay your taxes and see how free you are. Do not answer your draft notice and see how free you are. Fail to respond to EVERY command a Police Officer makes to you, and see how free you are. Take any substance the Government deems illegal, and see how free you are.
The real NUTTERS in this country are the fucking flag waving freaks who scream about their freedom, and support killing abroad in order to preserve our freedoms from the likes of anyone of a dozen 3rd world countries now under occupation or bombing cmapaigns. The LUNATICS are the ones who feel they are free to vote for any candidate for office and that they can change their situation at the ballot box.
If you never have drawn a free breath, never once been free from State imposed taxes and irrational heavy handed laws, how can you claim to be free?
Freedom is relative, it is really only for the very rich. Money = freedom to some degree.
The federal debt is not legitimate:
Actually, money is created as credit, not debt. Money can be given freely.
I know, I know, that's a difficult concept for your trolls. Imagine that, we are not really in debt at all. We just have a bunch of Jews in government telling us lies. Who would ever have thought...
Fiat is created by the treasury issuing a debt note and the Central Bank 'buys' it. The Central bank has $0 in its account. But it has the legal authorization to have the Treasury print all it wants. The fake money is created by the debt instrument.
When you use a credit card you are doing the same thing, creating money from debt.
Same thing when you get a mortgage. That money did not exist until the bank put it on the books.
All Modern 'money' is created by debt. Even if someone gives you money, it's creation came from debt somewhere, usually government.
The only real money is gold and silver. Some others can substitute but gold is the main money. Real money has to be a 'store of value'. The crap fiat inflates itself away so no store of value there after several years.
2000 years ago you could buy a fine suit (of the time) with 1oz of gold. Today you can do the same. Now that's money!
But don't the Banks with their Charter on Wall Street create more money than the Federal Government?
Consider that the Federal Debt is only $18.1 Trillion, where as total Derivatives are $1.7 Quadrillion
In 2011, DTCC settled the vast majority of securities transactions in the United States and close to $1.7 quadrillion in value worldwide.

Jews in Weimar, when allowed in Gov, printed themselves insane amounts of money but would not share with the good German people. The Germans starved to death in their own country.
The Jews have taken over the United States gov. Expect to be starved to death, and your children too.
You make sense.
This whole tight banking policy is what was going on in the Great Depression in the USA. Some say the Banking Act of 1933 help force the banks to loosen up money lending. But then in 1937 another Banking Act allowed Banks to tighten up the money all over again putting us back into Recession/Depression.
I look around and it looks like foreigners invest more in the USA and other countries than the country's own banks.
foreigners? of course they do. Income derived from their USA investments is untaxed by Uncle Sam

I've come to the realization that debt slavey is a necessary (in the eyes of the TPTB) system to force the masses to be productive for the few at the top. Property tax is a sinister law that forces the few property owners to stay productive. I just bought a house and now feel like a friggin slave. Roll on the debt jubilee and hang the bankers.
Agreed. Property tax pays for schools, cops, roads. Though I don't agree with what schools teach and think cops should be like firemen, called for their service instead of searching to put ppl in jail. I like to work and be productive, I just want to reap the benefits. If corporations paid their taxes, we would not have to tax our labor. I think the power should be held by the state alone-more transparency. Screw D.C. They just want global power that has nothing to do w/ our lives. Federal income tax is a fraud.
With robots making workers less and less valuable, we are seeing the money funnel up to the top % at an alarming rate. More ppl are being replaced by automation.
One thought about property taxes. I eventually came to realize that they were an extremely clever and ultimately just system of paying for that "free and compulsory" education provided when you were a child.
If you are a loser renting an apartment and got nothing out of your education, then you end up paying little or no property tax. It obviously didn't help you get ahead and thus you shouldn't be charged full price for it
If, on the other hand, you ended up as a success in life, then your education probably had at least a little to do with it. You end up in a nice neighborhood and you pay the full value for the benefit you received.
Pretty slick way of performing a post-educational assessment. Naturally, everyone will cite exceptions, no doubt including themselves but I think the point is worth pondering.
Not everything is a sinister plot to enslave everyone.
Property tax on rental property is higher than on owner occupied. (at least it is where I live) Property tax is passed on to the renter in the rent. So for something of equal size and form the renter pays more.
Freedom is not free.
I am month to month and if I want to bail...I can in Thirty Days.
Of course a homeowner can also. They lose the supposed equity in ther home and destroy their credit in the process. They can only dothat once in a lifetime.
I'm not arguing that there aren't benefits to renting, just that renters pay the property tax. Practically nobody owns rental property to lose money and property taxes are part of the cost. And I only say practically nobody because there might be someone out there using it as vehicle to make money in another way but that's the exception, not the rule.
A mortgage does not make a winner. It creates a wage slave who is geographically restricted without the freedom to quickly relocate.
I pay Property Taxes as a portion of my rent. My landlord is not that stupid to charge a rent that would yield a negative cash flow. (If he did then I'd have to kick his ass as he is my friend and has been for the past 16 years.)
So in your twisted mind being enslaved is, somehow, winning?
I am impressed by your sophistication.

The key to your enslavement is the LEGAL NAME. This LEGAL NAME is on your birth certificate, drivers license, Social Security card, etc. This is copywrited property owned by the CROWN. When you use the LEGAL NAME you commit fraud (copyright infringment). Only BAR attornies have permission to use CROWN property. By agreeing to be the LEGAL NAME, you are DEAD BY CONSENT.

You sovereign citizens really crack me up. You really do. LOL
Speaking of debt, it always makes me giggle when someone "wins" the Mega. Recently a NC unemplyed mother of 4 in NC won Powerball valued at over half a mill. But wait..there were 3 winning tickets with two coming out of the closet. The third might have lost it in a bar room fight, doesn't matter, it's split three ways.
So this UE mother of 4 in NC gets 1/3 of the half mill that equats to roughly less than $200k. Depending on local state and fed taxes she will be lucky to get 40% of that. So that's no less than 100k. Not too bad for a $2 ticket. But she has to decide if she wants to take it in a "lump" sum or over a period of time. No fool would ask for over a period of time because the state would have a good ecomomic, logical (hail Leanard Nimoy) reason to off you. So you chose lump. Great..you get taxed on a "windfall tax by the state, .gov the next IRS cycle. Your half-million $ tickey just went down to about $50k..then they'll tax you again ... she might want to consider that Wal-mart/McDonalds job again.
It was $188 million, before the tax bite, if you're referring to the lady from Shallotte, NC - not half a million.

Most people aren't slaves because the don't work. I did not consider my slave during my 20 year vacation. Most people are like free range chickens whose product is produced by others ability to use FRAUD.
I understand your statement. But they are slaves to the handout by being totally dependent on the handout. They don't own much maybe some car rims they paid off in 10 months. Some are lazy and choose to be a dead weight slave, but most can't find a decent paying job and consider the dead weight slave position more profitable and worthwhile than a low paid wage slave. Regardless, unemployment actually have unemployment tax which seems just strange and counterproductive cause they tax what they give you only to give it back and tax again....
Freedom is a state of mind.
Liberty is a state of being.
When we can convince a majority of people that the current system is not in their interest we'll be fine.
That will happen when the government teat goes dry.
When most people are asked to pay in rather than 'get', all will be well. No one like to (net) pay taxes.
It will be horrible for a lot of people who cannot provide for themselves but it is coming.
It's always a hoot to listen to you right-wing nutjobs bitch about unions, taxes and "socialism" when the best countries to live in the world have even more unions, taxes and "socialism".
Maybe those things aren't the problem, maybe it's deluded libertarians who want to live tax-free but still benefit from the socialism everybody else pays into who keep electing politicians who are bought and paid for by bankers and corporations whose aim is to keep those same libertarians deluded for as long as possible and their kids at least as stupid.
Why don't you shut the fuck up and go live in one of those "best" countries? I'm sure they could use more people like you.
Actually, they have tests and income requirements that keep guys like him out. So maybe they are smarter than us.
Yes the cages are better on some of the other farms, I don't think anyone would argue that they aren't. What folks like yourself miss is that the american ruling class is particularly vicious and nasty. Elections don't matter for much of anything here or anywhere else.
In the socialism of these other better farms er nations the people who the work and pay the taxes actually can get some quality benefits like the month of august off. They get a functional transit system. They get nice roads to drive 100mph on. Their kids don't often die in foreign wars. They get a lot of nice benefits on those other farms but in the USA, we get the national socialist version of socialism where the profits are privatized and the risks socialized for the special people. Where those in government rip off everyone paying into the system. We get shitty roads, shitty schools, shitty transit, the costs of wars, we get ripped off at every turn. They use the funds to create a weaponized dependent underclass too.
But the socialists keep saying 'if you pay more it will be like those nice farms on the other side of the ocean'. No it won't. We already pay far far more and get far far less. But with liberty, we at least got to take care of ourselves and companies competed to provide us quality goods and services, and that's are only real option because the socialists here just want more of the fruits of our labors and have no intent of ever making things here as good as they are on those other farms they hold up as examples.
you are pretty much correct, of course.
The best nations of the world are sweden, norway, denmark, austria, switz, belgium, france, etc.
And the rightwinger/libertarians of america would call those nations socialist. Of course they are not actually socialist. People own property there etc.
The real reason those nations are far better than the USA is because they are small, relatively homogeneous and culturally and racially unified. And white.
But the readers here care hear what you and I are saying. Once a member of homo sapiens has ingested and accepted the propaganda of a political tribe, he cannot hear anything new.
If the Barbara Lerner Spectre's of the world have their way, they won't be white for long...Already nearly all the rapes in the Scandinavian countries are by non-whites (ususally Muslims) brought into the countries by liberal race-traitors.
This is also the sort of thing that Tarabel does not consider in her pert impertinence.
So are you saying only white people can have a 'free' soceity?
These comments are really bringing the cockroaches out of the depths of the earth.....
Anyone planning to benefit from Socialism is in fact, a Socialist. Just calling yourself a Libertarian and not walking the walk, well... that just makes you a liar, that's all.
I find that liberals think this is a fucking contest and can't stand the fact that libertarians may bring about more change in the system than liberal democrats. Like I stated before, libertarians and progressives have alot in common. The problem is systemic greed and corruption and comes down to corporations, bankers, and their control over gov. policy.
If you change the systemic problem, you don't have to tax the shit out of the common man to pay for the poor and the poor will learn how to fish on their own.
Libertarians are right wing nutjobs--that's what they want you to think.
Progressives are bleeding heart stoners who are retarded-again what they want libertarians to think.
Division-what they want. Typical us vs. them mentality and you are falling right in. Get a clue. It's just the new form of Repub vs. Democrats
We all want the same thing. Life liberty pursuit of happiness and legit opportunity.
4 out of 5 are just itchin' to "get even". God help us all if this ever erupts.
"I owe my soul to the company store" TEF
Sixteen Tons Tennessee Ernie Ford LyricsSome people say a man is made outta mud
A poor man's made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bones
A mind that's a-weak and a back that's strong
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store
I was born one mornin' when the sun didn't shine
I picked up my shovel and I walked to the mine
I loaded sixteen tons of number nine coal
And the straw boss said "Well, a-bless my soul"
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store
I was born one mornin', it was drizzlin' rain
Fightin' and trouble are my middle name
I was raised in the canebrake by an ol' mama lion
Cain't no-a high-toned woman make me walk the line
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store
If you see me comin', better step aside
A lotta men didn't, a lotta men died
One fist of iron, the other of steel
If the right one don't a-get you
Then the left one will
You load sixteen tons, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don't you call me 'cause I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store
For a lot of the new people here, I highly reccommend watching the 27 year old movie "They Live". I believe most of it is symbology, but I do believe our conscious and subconscious minds are being fucked with by those with trillions to spend which I believe is the point of the movie.
I have no debts and quite honestly, I still feel like a slave.
If you're in the private sector you probably have a good feeling your turn on the treadmill may be coming to an end soon, even if things are going well beause of a change in business enviroment or other dismal performances that have nothing to do with how well you're doing at your job.
I know at my last job the product I was supporting wasnt exactly selling.
Things are getting rougher and rougher out there but there is still growth in some sectors.
If you'rre a younger guy and have a STEM degree or just decent programming skills you can actually land a pretty sweet gig and theres demand for you in prettym uch all regions of the country.
Having corporate experience in a niche industry where you dont have much trasferable technical skills and you're just a manager kind of makes you the eptiome of wage slave, same with engineers with specific skillsets/knowledge.
being MOBILE is the key to living a somewhat non-indentured american life .
I would hazard a guess that, as a percentage of the total population, Americans are more aware of the attempts at enslavement than those living their contented lives in other societies where everything is presumed to be just peachy.
So far as I know, there is only one national category of "slaves" who are busily plotting to redeem their lost liberties rather than fondly licking their chains and telling each other how fortunate they are to not be an American.
So far as I know, there is only one national category of "slaves" who are busily plotting to redeem their lost liberties rather than fondly licking their chains and telling each other how fortunate they are to not be an American.
Now that actually makes some sense.
"...than those living their contented lives in other societies where everything is presumed to be just peachy "
as a small reminder, other societies - and there are many other - have each it's own aggregate view on the matter, and their own issues with debt
just as an example, while the average Dutch has huge mortages, the average German rents. while the average French has credit card issues, the average Spaniard way less so
and what kind of debt you have matters. a mortgage is not the same as undefaultable US Student Debt, for example
you can decide to walk away from an underwater mortgage situation, but you can't walk away from undefaultable US Student Debt
imho so far there is only one category of debtors worldwide that can indeed be called serfs, but this does not mean that further can't follow, soon
The socialists of olden days didn't call it "wage slavery" and "debt peonage" for nothing.
A free society cannot exist without free individuals.
Ask 10 people what they are, and you will most likely get the names of 10 groups that the individuals associate with. The concepts of freedom, liberty, and individuality have been swept away, and cast into the dustbin of the memory.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg2eZP2MPuk
Freedom does not exist for anyone, anywhere
If you are a child, you are beholding to your parents
Then school
Then work.....maybe
Maybe a wife
Then children
Yes, the creditors
The government
Then you die
I ignored parents after age 4.
I was never beholding to school.
I moved thousands of kilometers from home after high-school, didn't tell my parents or family where I went, and only had phone contact 3 times in decades. In other words, I was not beholding to parents beyond what is unavoidable, and not after age 16.
I have always worked for myself, so never beholding to employers.
I never had a husband (or wife), so not beholding.
I never had a debt, so not beholding.
I refuse to be governed, so not beholding to predators-DBA-government. Besides, I've been quite clear that government doesn't exist for decades.
Whether I ever die or not is an open question.
And so, I am not a slave, and will not be a slave.
Does refusing to be governed involve risk? Certainly. This is just one risk of endless risks, but one that can be reduced to near zero by taking certain actions. Which I have, by moving to the extreme boonies 125km from the nearest human being, established my self-sufficient place to live.
To be sure, most people on this planet REFUSE to be unconventional, and thereby submit to being enslaved. However, I took my big step over 3 years ago, and I can say without any doubt whatsoever, I am vastly happier and better off for taking these actions.
If you claim nobody can be free because... nobody is free of risk of infection, sickness, accidental injury, purposeful assault by animals or humans, and other situations that can and do happen on this planet, then you are correct. But that's not what most of us mean by "free".
In fact, the situation is this. We are animals on one of zillions of planets in this universe. This planet is populated by zillions of predatory organisms (from virus, bacteria, wild animals to humans), and without any doubt, we can be harmed by accident or any of those predators. That's the story, the whole story. To be sure, human predators are more problematic in modern life, but that's why we should take major actions to exterminate them, or at least take actions that allow us to evade them.
The word is "beholden", folks.
If you look closely at the lines on your neck as you turn your head, (even one is a killer) you will find the proof of your impending death certificate, no questions asked, no choice for denial. We proved it so.
As a first step we should clarify what "freedom" means. A lot of people regard it as the possibility to do what they want, while I have come to the conclusion (after some thinking) that it means not being forced to do what I don't want to. It's quite a difference ...
It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday […] it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it. (Part 1, Chapter 6, 1984 by George Orwell).
There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always — do not forget this, Winston — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.
(Part 2 - Chapter 5, 1984 ny George Orwell)
It is impossible to find solutions within "the system", because the moment you accept "the system", or being part of "the system", you are an absolute slave. Now, I totally agree the entire process of enslaving virtually everyone is implemented though overt fraud, but that won't save your butt, because the predators-that-be will do whatever they want.
In theory, the best way to avoid being a slave, is to avoid being part of the system. The problem with this in practice is:
#1: others make you part of the system without your permission (for example, when your parents sign a birth-certificate document, or register you for school, and so forth).
#2: you will be hassled like crazy if you do not apply to be part of the system (by applying for a drivers license or any other "official" document). the cops will arrest you for driving without a license (or registration, or proof-of-insurance, or many other farces), put you in a cage, fiddle around, then ultimate when they learn you have never made you part of the system, they will let you go. so sure, eventually you are let go (usually), but since few cops or other low-level predators know about the fraudulent scam (and the possibility of never joining the system and thereby being subject to their scams), you will usually be put through significant harassment and abuse.
One semi-effective strategy is to write (or print) "under protest and duress" on EVERY "official" document you ever fill out. In theory this means "my signature does not make me part of this system, or make me agree to anything, because I was forced to sign this document to protect myself from harm or abuse" (like will happen if you are stopped by a cop without a driver license or registration). But you must add "under protest and duress" to EVERY "official" document you ever sign. In addition, you must also publish in a newspaper of record a statement that you officially and irrevocably certify that you never knowingly agreed to anything, and hereby deny, rescind and abolish any apparent agreement to be part of any system, including all "official" systems, including all "legal", "corporate" and "government" systems.
But in the end, the most effective way to avoid being a slave is to move to some very remote, rural area largely devoid of human beings, and never have anything to do with any "official" document or process. To be complete, you should not even trade (buy or sell) with fiat currency involved. However, for practical purposes, any transaction in which you do not provide identification (voluntary interactions in which you are anonymous) are fairly safe. But even better, if you know someone who is a willing part of "the system", get them to purchase anything you want, and settle up privately with them with a signed master agreement (that covers all transactions indefinitely) that stipulates you do not agree to anything or to become part of any system by exchanging goods with him (for the goods and goodies he buys or sells for you).
-----
But to fundamental requirement is... to clearly and thoroughly understand that 100% of everything "official" is PURE FICTION. Which means, it literally does not exist. And the intention and attempt to enslave people by making them think they have no choice but to be part of their fictional system is blatant fraud. Yes, ultimately they point at your signature on some application or agreement (birth certificate, driver license, credit card application, tax forms, etc) as your explicit agreement to BE A SLAVE to "the system". This is blatant fraud, but you must understand, LAW IS PURE FICTION. So ultimately ALL these and related abstractions are FICTIONS and are nothing more than purely invalid justifications for forcing you to comply with their orders, and refrain from actions they claim you are prohibited from taking.
What is real? That's easy.
The universe.
Human predators.
Human producers (prey).
Everything else is just noise (emitted by human mouth) and smeared ink on paper (documents). The way to NOT be a slave is to state clearly whenever appropriate that you refuse to be a slave, you refuse to be part of ANY "system", you refuse to be obligated or prohibited by anyone, and you refuse to be limited in your life (travel, etc) just because you refuse to become part of their fiat, fake, fraud, fiction, fantasy "system". Best to avoid, but whenever you cannot avoid, you must make your absolute refusal to be part of any system or formulate agreement with any of their schemes.
But in the end, all the above is nothing more than a pile of Sith Mind Tricks, and the TOTALITY of what is real is: the universe, human predators, and human producers (prey). Except, if you're wise, careful, prudent, diligent and insightful, you can be a human producer without being prey. Mostly. Until masses of humans "just say no", and decide to exterminate the human predators, this is the best an individual can do. Until a few of us manage to get off this corrupt planet and beyond the practical reach of the predators-that-be.
Most people will not like living out of the system.
I know, as I live on the fringes of society.
I keep low, under the radar. I am not young anymore, the price I pay is high.
I am not a criminal nor an alcoholic or drug abuser, I am no angel either and hate someone telling what to do as it is my life I am living and I choose to do it my way. I make mistakes and pay the consequences.
I have also enjoyed moments of peace, contentment and at times happiness.
Is it worth it?
For me yes.
For me, absolutely, positively YES !!!
More than worth it 1000x over.
And your life is a real one.
Considering how these "human predators" don't honor the contracts they enter into makes the idea of carefully using contract rules to escape them seem all so silly.
It certainly does. However, for the vast majority who refuse to do the right thing (kill all human predators in self-defense), the only chance they have is to attempt to escape enslavement and destruction by means of opting out and HOPING the predators will back off when you show you understand their scam.
But I agree this approach is increasingly impractical, because the predators-that-be are increasingly adopting the fundamental attitude "we are god, you must do what any of us say, no matter what the system supposedly is". Which means, all those farces by which they gradually implemented worldwide slavery are no longer necessary, because they have the power to back up their claims of unlimited arbitrary power.
The only solution that ultimately CAN work is... to exterminate human predators. PERIOD. Sadly, almost zero human beings have figured this out, and infinitely fewer are willing to take the necessary actions.
Which is why I say:
- humans are a failed species.
- the predators have won.
- humans are finished.
All because humans refuse to defend themselves.
OMG!! I worked this out a long time ago, but when I tried putting it into practice (By CS gassing a predator who was bullying me, overtly. I wasn't sure I could take him bare handed, didn't actually want to kill him with a weapon, just show that you can't push me around without consequence) I found that the majority of the people I mistook for friends sided with the predator, even the ones who described him to me as a bully!
As one minor predator tyre said to me a couple of decades ago: "You're one of those people who doesn't like being told what to do, aren't you?" At the time my instinctive reply was, "who the hell does like being told what to do?". Nowadays, post 9/11 I understand that group is most people.
I also now understand that most people just follow "scripts" and stop making daily moral judgements as soon as they find a "script" that works for them.
The problem with "defending yourself" is that the predators are often backed up by the majority. In fact in my experience predators ARE the majority these days, it's just that most people are really crap at what they do including predatory behaviour, so thet aren't obvious predators and of cource basic human mendacity aloows them to consider themselves more victim than predator..
I can see where you are coming from Anne, and in truth at first glance "slaughtering the preds" has a mighty fine ring to it, but in practice, it's just redrawing the lines as who will be "top" and who will be "bottom".
If you want to eliminate human predatory behaviour you have to be able to offer an alterntive that demonstrably works well, which is quite easy but which is also immune from being co-opted by predators. (seemingly impossible).
Your thoughts resonate with quite a few of us, it seems Anne. I just hope we turn out to be wearing the white hats when all is said and done.
An HonestAnn RM sized post - I like it.
"the most effective way to avoid being a slave is to move to some very remote, rural area largely devoid of human beings, and never have anything to do with any "official" document or process."
More and more Ann has convinced me that this is the way to go.
As a lawyer, it is frightening because basically a lawyer is a sort of navigator in the world of enslavement - that is, we have to plug in to that matrix to operate. However, watching the US govt's functions systemically fail over the past ten years leads me to believe that those system investments are useless. Get you some autonomy and there might be a future. If not, prepare to eat your last meal of orange cheetos and mountain dew (or whatever americans eat now) while fending off non-cheetos havers in an apocalyptic city block gladiator-fest near you. For Ann's sake, I hope that the internet is still up and people are posting selfies of fluorescent orange-stained hands and cheeks as they slip into comas from dehydration. Maybe the go-pro quad chopper guys can give us streaming aerial views of America's last days of selfish me, me, me mob mentality gone full retard in the parking lot of a WalMart - the modern Plains of Meggido.
I'm just catching up a little and saw your post as a place to repost my Anthem. No offense meant to you at all.

Love, love, love your stuff ann. Absolutely outstanding contributions. Thanks for being here.
They have a label for people who don't accept the system: terrorist.
We are slaves and I call it the Attack of the Killer Algorihtms as that's how the wealthy control the rest of us, along wiht a substanstial amount of media fluff that is fed to us daily on "what is normal"...and after a while some folks start believing it, and that's scary. Government and business keeps you going with running more and more stats at you...I call it "stat rat fever" and watch Twitter sometimes, scary as it works. Videos from people smarter than me tell you how all of this works, how you get duped and then how you are "code hosed" in financials and in healthcare.

When the Occupy movement started I said this was what it was all about even though the protesters didn't understand but they they knew enough that something was wrong. Since then the various arms of the groups have learned and shared a lot with us. Here's a link to the original blog posts about the Killer Algorithms evenwith me asking folks like Michael Moore to make this movie..oh well.

It's all math models and deception by the numbers, period. Just be careful on what you take in and good thing there are sites like this one that take time to explain what's really going on out there. Their brains are their tools and they use them to write code to move and make money.
You think you're telling us something new? Everyone knows this... It's like the ad... everyone knows this.
That's why trinkets and distrations are created by the rich... it's all smoke and mirrors.
Reminds me of an interview by Harold Wallace of a certain Rosenthal character.
The answer to your quest is found in my ancestors words..
Pythagoras:"..it is impossible for a man to be free when he is enslaved by his desires and expectations..."
Plato: "..freedom in excess turns in to excess slavery..."
If you expect to poses great houses, great cars, great holidays, great lifestyle...well...you will also gain great slavery for it.
"They're gonna pay you what all jobs pay -- less than you're worth and just enough to keep you crawling back for more." - Lois, Malcolm in the Middle
Sadly not just americans.
Bitcoin FTW.
a) Those with excess capital invest it and collect interest and rent.
b) Those with insufficient capital borrow money and pay interest and rent.
Are you on the right side of the trickle up effect?
There are two classes, the investor class and the slaves.
The investor class uses capital to ride on the backs of the slaves who do all the work.
Well ask yourself but one question. What does one need for production?
I'm on the side of my ancestor who said...."Plentyfulness does not bring you Happiness but Happiness brings you Plentyfullness"
..I'm also torn between my other ancestor who said..."Money is like shit, if you spread it around it fertilizes all, but if you pile it up in one spot,it stinks.."
You stay loyal to your belief and I to mine :)
“The few who understand the system will either be so interested in its profits or be so dependent upon its favours that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system, will bear its burdens without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interests.” The Rothschild brothers of London writing to associates in New York, 1863.
Is it possible for any merchant to force you to buy from him? Don't you really see that you don't have arguments but just complaints?
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks…will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered…. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs. – Thomas Jefferson in the debate over the Re-charter of the Bank Bill (1809)
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.” – Thomas Jefferson
… The modern theory of the perpetuation of debt has drenched the earth with blood, and crushed its inhabitants under burdens ever accumulating. -Thomas Jefferson
You really think it would be better with a state owned central bank? Well I suggest to check out the facts about the ECB, or other central banks owned by the bank. I'm sorry but you are fully mistaken. Central banks are not part to solve one problem it's the most central problem we currently do face. If you do not understand the crimed of the central banks, you just can come up with such kind of "solution". It never ever had worked it never ever will work.
Anyway I'm generours and ma you find a country to live in with a central bank owned by a state. My proposal try Zimbabwe. Good luck...
If governments created money they would collect interest that they could take off tax bills.
When banks create money you pay interest to them and taxes to Government.
More recently banks take the profits and socialize the losses through bailouts, which get passed to tax payers.
So, now you pay interest to banks and taxes to cover Government spending and banker losses.
You like this?
Yeah, we need to rub peoples noses in this stuff.
People just don't know the data.
Say, are they counting US Employees now when they work for US Corporations overseas... cause I see a little upturn in Information Services.

What do you think central banks do? Have you ever heard that all the profts and losses to into the budget?
And now you got from central banks to normal banks. Banks to work under the laws written down by government and they do get away with borrowing money out of nothing through laws which just day it's legal to borrow more then you have.
Anyway that is another story of fraud. Anyway every bank must do business with a central bank... So can we discuss one thing after the other. Please explain me why you think generating money out of nothing and getting interest for it is ok for state owned central banks. So why is it ok to get something without doing something for it.
How comes that you find it unjust if you'd sell something to me and I'd not give anythin in return. Why do you think it's ok for states do expect that? Why am I supposed to take the central banks forfait money?
"If the American people ever allow..." Of course they will. The 5% will see the truth, but we have a "democracy". Now I know why the Founding Fathers hated the word.
When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes… Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.” – Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France, 1815
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money.” — Sir Josiah Stamp, Director of the Bank of England (appointed 1928). Reputed to be the 2nd wealthiest man in England at that time.
Well I wrote about it over an over again. Get rid of your debt. Then you can start blaming whomever you like. But it has to start by oneself.
Large inheritances mean you don't have to do anything at all.
You mean take away whatever one likes and whatever one has saved? Nice move. I'm against that.
Everyone seems to believe in a trickle down effect that is not evident in third world countries where the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.
No one mentions the much more obvious trickle up effect.
a) Those with excess capital invest it and collect interest and rent.
b) Those with insufficient capital borrow money and pay interest and rent.
This explains rising inequality and why wealth concentrates in certain families.
When you inherit enough there is no need to work at all, you just live off your inherited wealth as Europe's aristocracy have been doing for centuries.
The US is probably not familiar with the term old money, you soon will be.
The Duke of Westminster tops the UK rich list, he inherited the lot.
Some families can trace their position at the top of UK society back to the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
Old money lasts.
Thanks. Maybe we could ban Aristocracy from being Property Developers and acquiring more property. This guy is 3rd Richest in The UK, $8.5 Billion Pounds.
Major General Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster
But he would just go into Finance or Banking.

"Ownership" and "control" are synonyms.
I "own" this pencil ... I can use it, lend it, sell it, break it. I can do anything with it, except use it a weapon to harm other men.
Ownership is "exclusive control over an asset or resource".
Equally, if I "control" the use of "your" pencil, I am claiming ownership of it.
So, if YOU do not control your life, your home, your land ... then, you do not own those things. The "controlling body" has laid claim to them.
In the West, you "own" nothing of any value. The very best you can do is to rent things from the State.
We ARE State' property, you and I.
The funniest thing I hear people say is ''I own my home''.
Actually owning a motor home you are more free.
We don't even own our own bodies any more, we are the property of the state.
Hello everybody, i am Malissa, God has bless me with two kids and a lovely husband, I promise to share this because of God favor in my life, 2 months ago I was in desperate need of money so I thought of having a loan then I ran into wrong hands who claimed to be loan lender not knowing he was a scam. he collected 2,000USD from me and refuse to email me since then I was confuse, but God came to my rescue, one faithful day I went to church after the service I share idea with a friend and she introduce me to Mr. David Wilson, she said she was given 52,000.00USD by Mr. David Wilson who is the C.E.O of (CREDIT PREMIER INTL), so I decided to contact them using the below email: {credit.permier001@gmail.com} ... And to my greatest surprise i got my loan of 96,000.00USD... So if you are really in need of a loan, i would advise you to contact Mr. David Wilson because he is a Man of his worlds.. Thanks
My dear Melissa. If God has "blessed" you with two kids, the least he could do is to provide for those kids so that you could raise them without going into debt for the rest of your life to some two-bit loan shark. I do feel sorry for you and something needs to be done about these dead-beat-dads who make babies and then skip out. I suggest you go to the police and report this "God" character, who knows how many other women he has victimized?

I doubt that's Tyler.....well......maybe.
Might not be the best thread to be posting something like this. /understatement
You seem a little bit confused Melissa. First of all, your two kids did not come from God, you got them because your husband (or somebody) fucked you and made you pregnant. Second of all, why isn't your "lovely husband" out earning the money you need, instead of giving you more babies, so you don't have to go into debt to that rip-off loan shark David Wilson?
Her husband should be talking to Janet Yellen.
I wanted to lay out some of the Debt Slavery

Therefore - they want it.
Enough said.
Thanks Jim.
how to make slave happy lower gas a little bit...
All my life I have tried to be free and the harder I try, the more I realize how well the slavery trap is set. I have no debt, no "job" and still I'm not free. Why? because one thing every human needs to be self reliant is land. So, in an effort to be more free and get out of the system I bought some good land and decided to grow my own food and be 'self reliant'. But one problem, in order to have enough land to cut all your wood, and grow all your food, and be left in relative peace, you have to pay a good sized property tax. The government doesnt accept wood, or vegetables or sheep. They want legal tender, the same legal tender that only the government can make and desseminate...see how deeply the trap is set.
So in order to keep my land ( my freedom ), I must pay and in order to pay I must work for legal tender. So my idea was to create production by farming my land in order to generate the money. And now I must navigate a myriad of government regulations in order to sell a carrot. I have to buy insurance, special equipment, etc.. And inorder to pay for all of it I must farm more, which means that I labor a good part of my life in order to pay for my "freedom".
Dont get me wrong I love farming and I consider myself "fee-er" than 90 percent of the population, but after all of it, I'm still far from free.
What if you trade your produce at an unresistable discount for gold/silver? Would that not encourage more silver purchases just to be immediately traded to you? Then as silver goes up in price from demand you will become free-er as you stack.
My produce would rot waiting for silver bearing customers. Good idea in theory, but 99% of the population are not set up to trade in PM's.
It is all relative. At least you can breathe. Half of us are choking on polluted city air. City dwellers have no room to grow nothing. And if the SHTF someday you will not have to bug out like millions of us will…
A good example. And each person except for the controllers at the top have the same matrix you could list out. Even the ones that believe they are "well off". It sucks, doesn't it?
I’ve cosen to be debt free for 5 years now. I have no idea and don’t give a rats ass what my FICO score is.
Most financial advisors tell me that’s a mistake, and the NSA probably thinks it increases the likelihood I’m a threat to national security. It may feel good to make proud claims of immunity to this kind of social pressure, but, in truth no one truly is. Sadly, our society is built on a foundation of unpayable debt, and everyone but the 0.1% is expected to play along. Our government is the leading example and proponent of that.
I am debt free and self financing. Screw FICO. I am my own financial advisor. Big government is dying of its own doing. MY NSA control number is 25738940A8….
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free."
– Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe.
I retired early and I am debt free. When I was younger my wife and I refused to listen to the siren song of “live big”. Our primary house in the suburbs is modest and half the size we could have afforded. We still drive our 1993 F-150 straight six and the 2000 Honda CRV because they still function and work great. I just paid cash for a used 7 year old F-150 with 31K miles that runs like a top from a guy who sold it because it did not have a 4 wheel drive. Our one big “splurge” was our summer cottage on a quiet stream we paid off in 8 years. I pay credit card balances off twice a month so my finances never get out of order.
It is all a head game that is tied to your pride and ego. If you think you deserve it than you will pay through the nose to get it. Sure you will look super prosperous to your friends and family but you will continue to work long after you should to pay it off while people like me sit on the beach all summer…
At this point, I don't even see people thinking about alternatives. You start your path in life by "taking out a loan". Awesomely sad. Debt used to be way more short term, like a "boost" to get you over the fence, then off and running. There was plenty of opportunity to continue into positive territory and continue with little or no debt. That seems to have disappeared in the last few years. Your method is still a viable one, but only taken by people who see the big picture, people with critical thinking skills. Kids aren't being educated that way now. All those old sayings are no longer repeated, "Early to bed, and early to rise...", and "neither a borrower or a lender be", "a stitch in time.. " etc. All disappeared. It was the stuff that worked for 200 years, and now getting the last shovel full of dirt thrown on it. American culture? Most couldn't even define it now. It's been replaced by a "TV" culture.
Yes, you have the correct mindset, in the credit card indstry, you would be known as a "deadbeat", ie one that actually pays on time, thus precluding the excessive fee coleection, etc. Exacerbating the problem s the fact that credi card debt s the driving force behihind asset backed securitization, means that the entity caiming to owns rights of enforcement to that debt, owns dick
Most times it is a "servicer" collecting on behalf of a new york commn law express trust, in which the right to enforce is not a current legally held corpus asset of that trust (as it was never legally conveyeyed under the controlling terms of the trust's governing instrument) and therefore where pressed the claimant could never legally claim "ownership of the right of eforcement. [same principal holds true for mortgages]
So, I agree, fuck Wall Street, fuck the traders, fuck the originators, fuck the seller/sponsors. fuck the depositors, fuck the custodians, fuck the NIMS insurer, and/or the primary isurance policy insurer, fuck the waterfall and fuck te overcollaterization, fuck the GSE sponsored deal, and or the private lable diddy, fuck the CDO, and crss collateralization, Fuck Mark to Market, fuckthe PSA, fuck the PPM, fuck them all, pay cash and Fuck the moneychangers, fuck them by not buying into the advertised fallacy that funds the financial industry.Send a message; You dont need to keep up with the Joneses, or have to have that latest fashion, car, or house..fuck the money changers, fuck John Pierpoint Morgan, Fuck Nelson Aldrich, Fuck the Rockefellers, Fuck the Rothschields, fuck the fabians and fuck the Bilderbergs, fuck them all..send the message FUCK YOU

Most (that is 8 billions or so) humans are slaves. And they don't even know it.
0.01% greedy dumb and ignorant Egomaniacs and 99.99% even dumber ignoranter sheeple.
All useless. Or worse.
Exceptions: maybe 1 in 10 million
" Debt macht frei .... "
mmmm......
"It has been said the borrower is a slave to the lender." Why don't you just say that is a quote from Proverbs. Yup, that was written 3,500 years ago and is still valid today.
Ahh, but there wasn't 0% for 72 months 3,500 years ago. The only way to win at this game is to completely decouple. Go back to forming small groups who barter with each other for their needs and avoid anything that resembles fiat until there is a reinstatement of the gold standard to lock out unlimited printing to save tptb.
Gold certainly carries us back in the right direction.
The problem is putting the money creation in the hands of TPTB (i.e., the banksters). Even on a gold standard, there's nothing to stop them from switching to a variant of "fractional reserve printing", and then we're right back here, eventually.
What's needed is an updated version of Colonial Scrip - money creation returned to the control of the People, indexed to economic activity, measured locally, not nationally.
Too bad our society will never produce another Franklin.
Government is the most disgusting organization that evolved from man's mind and the spawn of government is taxes which ensure that government will be corrupt, venal and a burden to those governed...There is no way around this tragedy except for government to collapse due to its own weight and stupidity...
I am debt free and can cover my property tax easily as I live in the mountains and in the woods. The trick is to live where millions of others do not want to live because it's too far from civilization. I am free motherfuckers, apparently more than 90% of y'all it seems. The problem is Y'all want to be free "in style" and that is what costs you and keeps you captive to the Man. It also helps to have a wife that is not eat up with wanting material things.
Amen to RabbitOne. I too have survived the debt trap using the same lifestyle discipline. But, I cannot enjoy early retirement because I agree with Krieger that economic collapse looms large. Protecting yourself and your family gets more difficult as governments rack up more debt to maintain the chimera of the status quo consumption led economy. There are plenty of criminal bankers to jail and plenty of corrupt politicians to tar and feather, BUT start by looking in the mirror. Far too many fall victim to an entitlement mentality reinforced by government, media, pop culture and sadly, now our schools. No, everything is not FREE, no someone does not have to pay for your stuff and yes, if you want to live large and borrow carelessly, you will have to pay it back. It is easy to blame others, and there is plenty of blame to go around, but start with the one place we have the most control - ourselves. Get prepared, get the house in order, then we can demand the same of others and get back on the path to self-governance and real freedom. This current system is living on borrowed time, pun intended. Get off the x and start insuring yourself against the day when the free stuff stops, the debts are renegged and the banks slip slowly under the surface toward the murky bottom with your FDIC insured savings on board. Good luck to all.

Q4 Household Debt Report------What Deleveraging?
I got to the part where he is comparing employment to slavery and quit reading.
Slaves are forced to spend their lives in servitude to others. Employment is trade, one of the practices that has led to the prosperity of the modern world.
And, no, the supposed "economic force" that is claimed to "force" employees to work for employees is not the same as the physical force-the guns, swords, and lashes-used to perpetuate slavery.
Show me where I'm to live outside of the money economy. The answer is I can't. You don't think that's an accident, do you? You know as well as i do that industrialism couldn't exist without some mechanism of forcing people to work. Nobody works in a factory if he has a choice. Nobody,

That's how you do it. Also https://www.youtube.com/user/ldsprepper/videos?view=0&flow=list&live_vie...
It can be done but most will have no skill, strength or intellect to handle it much less emotional stability.
People get themselves into debt. No one forces you to borrow money, take out a mortgage, school loan, car loan, etc. Sorry but it's hard for me to feel sorry for 95% of the debtors.
I do feel for those who need to borrow for, lets say, cancer treatment, etc. That's somewhat beyond your control.
for many no car = no work so the only hope is to borrow to get the car, save from work, get rid of the car & the debt and immigrate / move to where jobs aren't in short supply but a car isn't needed so debt to have a car isn't needed.
The mortgage racket's another story: people are lied to from birth about home "ownership" but a mortgage is a double-rent.
You pay 1 rent to the bank and another to the government (property tax) and you never legally own that home.
When you own a chair, computer, a car, there are no permanent payments to make or forced sale against your will if you don't make a payment - even a car loan can end. A home NEVER ends payments. Ever. You pay till you die for the property tax or the house is confiscated.
