Tens Of Thousands Rally In Moscow To Mourn Slain Boris Nemtsov

Tyler Durden's picture

If there was supposed to be any crackdown on opposition voices in Russia following the shocking death of Boris Nemtsov, it wasn't evident today during a rally in which tens of thousands converged in central Moscow this monring to mourn the veteran liberal politician Boris Nemtsov, whose killing on the streets of the capital has, according to AP, shaken Russia's beleaguered opposition.

As AP reports, and as the photos below show, the mourners marched to the bridge near the Kremlin where Nemtsov was gunned down shortly before midnight Friday. "The march could serve to energize the opposition or it could prove to be a brief outpouring of emotions that once again dissipates in a climate of fear."

Russia's federal investigative agency said it was looking into several possible motives for his killing.

The first possibility, the Investigative Committee said, was that the murder was aimed at destabilizing the political situation in Russia and Nemtsov was a "sacrificial victim for those who do not shun any method for achieving their political goals."

This suggestion echoed comments by Putin's spokesman and other Russian politicians that the attack was a "provocation" against the state.

Opposition activists had planned a protest rally on Sunday, which the city demanded they hold in a suburban neighborhood. After Nemtsov's death, they called instead for a demonstration to mourn him in central Moscow. The city gave its quick approval.

Below are various snapshots from the rally:

Makes you wonder why the US State Department takes such an interest in the Murder of Nemtsov.

Normally the murder of an opposition politician in a foreign country (Russia) is an internal matter. Could you imagine the US reaction if Putin demanded an investigation  into the 'accidental death' of Senator Paul Wellstone, who was going to vote against the Iraq invasion?

But in true USSA fashion,  Never let a crisis go to waste.... or better yet, create the crisis and then profit from it.

That is the question that ALWAYS needs to be asked. Who benefits from the snipers in Ukraine demonstrations? Who benefits from the Airliner being shot down in Ukraine? Who benefits from the chemical weapons being used in Syria? Hint: it wasn't Putin.

LOL, this is an old script- this is the old one used in the Philippines when opposition leader Benigno Aquino was killed in order to galvanize the opposition against Marcos who was being blackmailed by then US Ambassador Philip Habib to give to the US part of Marcos'  Yamashita gold loot.(as narrted by David Guyton in his book aout the Yamashita gold)

I guess the old villains are running out of new twists. After the recent failure of the VEnezuela coup, this is actually laughable. I guess Putin has an opportunity here- these Russky 5th column are traitors & he could use this CIA script to turn the tables once & for all. THe CIA can always be blamed, nobody takes seriously the WEstern mainstream press anyway

Kind of funny how they had all those big Nemtsov picture signs printed up in such a hurry.  It would be interesting to follow up on the folks who handed them out.  Perhaps they were the one who updated Wiki before Nemtsov was even killed hmmm.

Also interesting how the Uke girl took him on a walk to a site overlooking the Kremlin, great photo ops for world press.  Why didn't she take him to a park somewhere in another part of Moscow where they would have more 'privacy'?

Also why would the killers leave any witnesses, unless the Uke girl was part of the operation.  Perhaps the guy who killed Nemtsov was his assigned bodyguard at that point in time provided by Kolomoisky.

Case and point, don't have any Uke friends or fly Malaysian planes, and you have a better chance of survival.

It's too easy. That huge crowd had already been organized to rally against Putin. With Nempkov's shooting the rally turned into his memorial. So whomever arranged for the killing knew this and whacked him so as to up the ante against Putin. Also it's very interesting how they had the posters ready on such short notice. So the plotters got a twofer--

a huge prearranged crowd that looks like a spontaneous anti-Putin rally, with Putin holding the bag

the western media reports the crowd as anti Putin without mentioning the previous intent of the rally, thus giving cover to the plotters

Something had to be done. 85% approval rate for Putin (which has risen during the second Ukrainan civil war) is not only an unsurmountable obstacle to topple the system but also a benchmark too high for our western polit-clowns. Those who are marching today are about the number the so-called opposition is able to muster. Nemtsov was the price for turning a otherwise boring and insignificant event into a internationally broadcasted anti-Putin show.

Maybe Nemtsov's fate was decided after "unsuccessful talks" at the US embassy on January 17 of this year: http://fortruss.blogspot.de/2015/03/boris-nemtsov-getting-instructions-a...

I tend to think the real beneficiary of this whole situation are the Neo-Cons in the West, but not because Russia will be destablized.  Perhaps Russia will be somewhat destablized, but if it was a false flag I doubt that was the primary motive.   The murder would have the very real benefit of finally convincing almost all Americans that Putin is a bad guy who kills his opposition.  95% of Americans will see the headline, look no further, and assume Putin ordered the hit.  Notice that all Western headlines prominently identify Nemtsov as Putin's political opposition.   So when the US does whatever it is planning to do to provoke Russia into a larger hot conflict, the vast majority of Americans will already be convinced that Putin is the bad guy (including the Red Team ones who liked him before because he was a "strong leader").

Before starting a war, it is very important that the "enemy" be thoroughly demonized.

A quick look at Drudge and Huffington confirms just that.  I also notice that the alleged motive for Putin as reported in almost all MSM was that the guy was about to reveal the "truth" about how Russia invaded the Ukraine.  So Putin looks like the de facto brutal dictator who kills his political opposition AND the motive was to prevent confirmation that Russia is really to blame for the Ukraine situation.  You just can't make this shit up.

The former Soviet president Gorbachov points to those who will gain from Nemtsov's death:

Asked if he thought anti-Russian forces abroad might exploit the crime in pursuit of their own ends, he argued this would definitely happen.

"Of course, certain forces will try to take advantage of this crime for their own ends - all of them are thinking how to get rid of Putin, aren't they? But I don't think, after all, that the West will go as far as that, that it will use that crime to attain its own purposes. However, that was unquestionably the goal of the criminals who murdered Boris," he said.

While the Washington Post claims that Russian opposition is blaming Putin, the truth is somewhat different:

The Boris Nemtsov Assassination: Russia’s “Non-system” Opposition Refuses to Blame the Kremlin

Maybe they are aware that the Russian public will not “buy” it, maybe MH17 was too clearly a false flag, or maybe they simply had a momentary moment of decency, but as far as I know nobody pointed the finger at Putin (okay, somebody somewhere probably did, I am just not aware of it).  Again, this is quite remarkable.

Everybody, pro and anti Kremlin, agree that it is absolutely essential that this crime be solved.  Since I personally believe that this was a US/UK organized false flag, I fully expect that somebody will be found and, as we say in Russian, that the “(trail) end will end in the water” meaning that there will be no proof of western involvement.  If fact, even if the FSB *does* come across such proof, the Russians will most likely not make it public but use it behind the scenes.  As for those who organized it, they also need somebody to get caught because if nobody ever gets caught, then this looks way too professional, but if a small cell of, say,  rabid anti-Semitic nationalists, does get caught, then that exculpates all other possible suspects.  Considering that the crime happened 200m away from the Kremlin, and that the city center is laced with cameras, I fully expect an arrest in the next 48 hours, a week max.

The bottom line is that in Russia this false flag is already a clear failure, not even the notorious Russian “liberal” or “democratic” “non-system” opposition wants to touch this thing.

I wonder why people keep saying "Western".  The supranational NGO / oligarch chariots form a web around the globe, linger / float above the lanscape in a manner of speaking.  It's not exactly an East / West thing.  Are we to believe that multinationals originating in the East are somehow not part of global commerce?

How would you like me to call it then? The West is a term which is used for describing those lands which Anglo-American oligarchs rule. It occupies all North America, most of Europe and Australia. I remember in those Western movies I so much liked as a child, that the term had had a different meaning, but Anglozionists have overtaken it and gave it a different, their own meaning. I am sorry. I also liked that former kind of West, but that West doesn't exist anymore. Anglo-Zionist oligarchs have killed it. I could say America, but, as you can see, plenty, or rather most, degenerations have their origins in Britain, not in America. But if you think of any other name, then please share it and perhaps it will stick.

Look, degenerate libtard, if you think I will tolerate or be sympathetic to those who are leeching on me all the while they are spreading degenerations through my land and people, you would better think again! There is some iniciative of that scum from Western NGOs today which would like to see our children to be thought teachings of that convicted pedophile Alfred Kinsey (pedophile was well-known by his experiments on newborn children; his theory stated that there is nothing odd or unnatural about newborn children having erections). That's sort of things they are pushing to feed children with from a very early age. That is one example of their "work" here. Now, you can do what ever you like in that West, libtard filth, but you will not spread your corruption on us, scum! Don't feign shock when blood of those spreading or initiating corruption is then being wanted! This is not West, and if people in that West have no problems about being corrupted, which I personally find hard to believe, do not expect you will do so outside the West! Do not spread your degenerations on the rest of the world, libtard! You might find that you will be called upon to pay the price in only currency acceptable for such a deed -- in blood! Your blood, libtard! Nothing in this world is without its price, libtard! And your actions might only demand your payment in blood! Remember that well!

What do you think happens after someone shoots RPG into the crowd? You think it makes fewer people in parasitic western NGOs?

Buzzzzzzzzzer! Wrong! Such an event would be a propaganda gold mine. All those NGOs which are dying a slow death due to lack of interest would be given a new lease on life and growing membership.

It makes as much sense as drone killing innocent wedding parties to diminish terrorism. No thought in it, just acting on impulse of animalistic fear and hatred. It gives 'american' results. Big surprise.

They tried economic sanctions. Didn't work.

They probably can't do assassination. Putin is too well protected.

Now they're on to the stage of trying to overthrow the government.

If that doesn't work, invasion

I read on Croatian medai that feeding those parasites on NGOs cost them 17 billion units of Croatian currecry a year! A record in the Balkan. Now I doubt any of those Western NGOs in Russia are on Russian state budget, they are surely being financed from abroad, but still, I'd say I costs billions to feed that Western vermin there. How much does it cost American taxpayers to finance that London based satanic club which is in a business of conjuring and spreading degenerations around the world -- Tavistock Institute, hm? 5-6 billion USD per year?

Sun, 03/01/2015 - 10:47 | 5842325 Dathedr
Dathedr's picture

For those of you who are not yet familiar with the anture of that satanic club based in London, here is the info on it.

The Tavistock Institute sits at the center of a web of evil, if one is inclined toward free-market thinking principles. It's safe to say that most of the American population hasn't a clue when the Tavistock Institute is mentioned what it stands for. It's not a new organization. This London based not-for-profit organization was founded in 1947. The Institute operates a $6 billion a year network of foundations and it's all funded by US taxpayers.

Ten major institutions are under its direct control but 400 subsidiaries and 3,000 think tanks and study groups develop, implement and impose some of its research. For instance, the Stanford Research Institute (SRI International), a $150 million-plus per year operation with more than 3,000 employees, is a subsidiary of the Tavistock Institute.

The Stanford Research Institute orchestrates program surveillance for Kaiser and Bechtel, as well as about 400 other companies, plus it implements extensive intelligence operations for the CIA. SRI is located on the West Coast of the United States. Its main focus is behavioral sciences and mind control.

The Tavistock Institute was originally established to study the effects of the condition called 'shellshock,' which affected many of the British soldiers who survived the First World War. The initial research established a breaking point for men under stress and made important progress in terms of treatment.

When Sigmund Freud moved to England and settled in Maresfield Gardens he became one of the main psychiatrists and something of an academic rock star thanks to his work on behavioral science theories and mind control tactics.

Today, the Tavistock network extends from the University of Sussex to MIT, Esalen, the Hudson Institute, the Heritage Foundation, US Air Force Intelligence, the Center for Strategic and International Studies at Georgetown and the Mitre and Rand corporations. A network of secret groups indoctrinates personnel from these organizations so there's an element of modern day cloak-and-dagger tactics surrounding the Institute.

The Club of Rome, the Trilateral Commission, the Ditchley Foundation and the Mont Pelerin Society are conduits for instruction for the Tavistock Institute, and since all of them are secret there's little to be said about them unless one undergoes instruction at the request of an employer who is associated with the Institute.

Tavistock defines itself as a not-for-profit organisation that undertakes research, consultancy and professional development. The Institute also owns Human Relations journal and hosts Evaluation: The International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice, which purports to help organizations develop through innovation and change, especially when emotional and technical challenges are involved.

The real purpose of the Tavistock Institute is to impose various dominant social themes on the West and its middle class populations. While there is no certain evidence of it, Tavistock supposedly helped start the West's rock and roll revolution, including the Beatles and Rolling Stones.

The idea was to break down the traditional family unit while celebrating an anti-intellectual youth culture. Tavistock, like so many other research groups and think-tanks, is at the service of the Anglosphere elites who want to create world government and believe that familial and communal elements of society must be broken down in order to do so.

Pat Buchanan

''Listen for long to GOP foreign-policy voices, and you can hear calls for war on ISIS, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, the Houthi rebels, the Assad regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran, to name but a few.

Are we to fight them all? How many U.S. troops will be needed? How long will all these wars take? What will the Middle East look like after we crush them all? Who will fill the vacuum if we go? Or must we stay forever?

Nor does this exhaust the GOP war menu. Enraged by Vladimir Putin’s defiance, Republicans are calling for U.S. weapons, trainers, even troops, to be sent to Ukraine and Moldova.

Says John Bolton, himself looking at a presidential run, “Most of the Republican candidates or prospective candidates are heading in the right direction; there’s one who’s headed in the wrong direction.”''

It feels like someones sending a message to Putin as in they can kill someone so close to his location ect...

incident in France and now this (Jewish people being killed) .. as I put below Obama does not like Jewish people.. actually Putin is close to many.. and has a long stable relationship with Israel, hes actually (pre Obama Syria uprising ect)  helped create stability in the region,

historically trouble with Jewish people in Europe and russia (WW2/Russian purges early 1900.. were a cause of dissruption / war.. and it feels like Obama is stirring up those emotions even though they are not really present (as said Putin is pretty pro Jewish sorry ZH guys look at his associates)...

Obama's the instigator..

1) Currently Iran/Syria are under control of Russia (they supply them arms ect)

forget what the media says, Israel has been happy with this agreement as it kept the balance of power stable in

the region ie US supports Saudis / Iraq ext ..so theres kind of a stalemate between Shia (backed by Russia)

Sunni (back by the US)

Obama is ant Israel, (yes its real) and hes trying to change the balance of power so that Iran/ Syria come under the US side.. which Israel / Russia are both against..

This is bad for Russia and its bad for Israel...

Russia and Israel are moderate allies, they uderstand each other...

Obama is trying to allow the Arabs to unite and tip balance against Israel and to a degree Russia

Russia and Israel are trying to keep the status quo

I am not sure whos right on wrong... thats whats happening..

Corralling protesters is surely the intention.

In London, the Met Police often insist that demos follow a route down side streets to minimise public attention. And quite recently, Met Police have applied for permission to charge demonstration organisers for the cost of police stewards etc. That would make the whole thing too expensive.
