Caught On Tape: DashCam Footage Captures Nemtsov Murder Scene
It appears some more of the cameras around the Kremlin were working when Boris Nemtsov was assassinated last week. The following, rather stunning clip - given we now know what transpired - shows the immediate (within 3 minutes) aftermath of the murder, the white "getaway" car accelerating, and the garbage truck...

Last I heard, she has gone back to Kiev. I wouldn't have let her leave the country as a key witness in a murder, but apparently they wrung out whatever they could out of her and assumed she had no part in it. Could be a mistake, could be something else.

MY Opinion - The Assasin hes been following around 30-50 yards behind on foot, as the street cleaning vehicle passes he seems to engage with it at about 11:30 (Camera time stamp) this is at around 30 yards distance beforehand and had been following up till then - though killer may have used the sound of the street cleaner as cover - hes eather run up with it (which fits with it didnt stop before but stopped many seconds after as hes seen what happend - I'D BE ASKING THE STREET CLEANER!! other senario is hes borded the truck - slim chance hes gotten on behind (not likley) or hes put a gun to the driver... (Probable but not most probable - as in running up beside) and the "GetAway Vehicle turns up seconds after (assasins were most probibly comunicating - cel cal times would show from local repeaters - would show to and from...) The last jpeg down called "Scene of Crime" shows a white, boxy vehicle apparently parked behind the street cleaner.
Re-watching the first video "Bird's Eye View", that vehicle was not behind the street cleaner at any time. I think the next video, from the dashcam, was taken several minutes after the fact.
Also, in the first "Bird's Eye" video, it looked to me like the running pedestrian leaving the vicinity of the street cleaner actually jacked the car that came up afterward, assumed the driver's seat, and peeled out.
The white exhaust, coming from the tailpipe, shows that the car was not warmed up. In severe weather, it is a good idea to run the engine until the exhaust runs clear.

The driver who transported me to the airport earlier this week is from Belarus and has a sibling that’s a Moscow-based journalist who knew Nemtsov professionally; the cabbie and journalist spoke after the killing.
Per the cabbie, the journalist’s thoughts are as follows. Nemtsov was a HUGE horndog and that trait was frequently exhibited—even in his dealings with journalists in professional situations (e.g. “Baby, you need to relax these questions and be friendlier. How about we go to my apartment for a few drinks?”)
Nemtsov has also been relatively outspoken in his condemnations of the Charlie Hebdo attack, characterizing it as Islamic terrorism. That terminology is extremely unusual for Russian politicians because they don’t want to rile up the Muslims in some of Russia’s far-flung regions unless they have no choice. And given that the attack was in Paris there was no reason for a politician to comment.
Nemtsov had a tremendous number of notches on his bedpost and the journalist thinks that he fucked the wrong guy’s woman. But even if a jealous husband wasn’t involved, just fucking a Muslim woman could have been enough to get him killed by Muslims because of his criticism.
Journalist also said that it wasn't a garbage truck, but was a snow truck (salt spreader?), in case that's of interest. That's about all I know.

the white car is the second car that stopped there after the shooting. a minute after the getaway car. The getaway didn't actually stop, but slowed down to a halt for a mere second before driving away fast.

While I don't know who operates those cameras, the Russian Government certainly does.

How easy is it to get a Snow clearing truck in Moscow?
I might be wrong, but I think these are operated by the City of Moscow, and not private companies.
So the truck is either a Moscow City snow truck (whether or not government-owned only shows how easy to control it), or it was special purchased and made to look like a Moscow City snow truck.
Knowing who owns the trucks in general tells you a lot about who could control one.
Now think about this, with me. Put yourself in the shoes of the killer and plan the murder. This will tell you a lot about the resources invovled. And the resourced involved might provide some indications of who did it.
1) Where to kill Nemtzov? Three possibilities: 1) Follow him long enough to know his habits, then choose a place. 2) Wait for a chance, then take it. 3) Combination: Identify likely spots from Nemtzov's routine, then follow him the whole day until an opportunity presents itself.
Which is it? I say it has to be either 1, or 3 because firstly, the truck and car were waiting...and you can't sit idle on Moscow streets for hours waiting for Nemtzov to arrive...
UNLESS...
A) You can control Police or other official resources such that no one will be worried about a large truck parked near the Kremlin for hours.
OR...
B) No waiting was necessary, because you had all Nemtzov's communications tapped, and know that he is meeting his girlfriend there.
C) Combination of A & B... you know he is meeting her there, but because they are walking the timing is not exact, and you have to pre-position the truck and getaway in advance.
A, B, and C would all point to the Russian Government and that is why I am saying the killers had to follow Nemtzov for a few days or weeks to learn his habits, choose likely spots to do it, and then have assets waiting at each likely spot as Nemtzov arrived there.
Following Nemtzov and then seizing opportunity at one of several likely spots Nemtzov habitually visits, leaves open the possibility that someone who was not the Russian Government did it. If they followed him for weeks then someone not government could have done it.
Buy this tells us something more...
A Snow truck is not likely to be the right approach vehicle in all of Nemtzov's likely locations. Which means... there's a bigger logistical tail to consider. There would have been other assets waiting throughout the day at the locations where the snow truck wouldn't work...like Cafe's, ARBAT, etc...
MORE ASSETS.
Like the Snow Truck driver? Maybe so. After all, we can see on video that he paused there, and that there is a car stopped behind him.
BUT STRANGELY no one knows who he is. Russian news has said the authorities don't know who he is.
This means that he cannot have been a regular snow truck driver, and the killer just jumped on the back without him knowing.
Why? Because we see he stopped. The only reason to stop at that spot at that time was if you knew something had happened.
And after stopping he did what? Apparently left without saying a word, without calling an ambulance, without filing a report or calling his truck dispatcher...
Would a normal truck driver do that? Maybe. But very doubtful. And if he was a normal truck driver, who acted as part of the crime, and then kept quiet, he would have to be under someone's control 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week - or killed. WHO COULD DO THAT?
Now, that bridge has cameras. I remember cameras on the light poles from the last time I was there - though that was some time ago. But others who go there everyday say there are cameras. I hope someone will post a cell phone video of the cameras on the light posts on that bridge.
Why was the killer not afraid of the cameras on the bridge? Who could assure him that the cameras would show nothing? Where is the video from the bridge cameras? Who could prevent the bridge-camera videos from recording - or arrange for them to be 'lost'?
The camera's make it an even bigger conspiracy. The killing at this spot requires EVEN MORE ASSETS TO BE STANDING BY.
So...
...who could arrange for:
1) Camera's to be shut off on demand?
2) City Snow Trucks to be available and waiting either for hours on the possibility of use, or at short notice moments before being used in the murder? Alternatively, who could get a similar truck, make it look like a city truck, and then keep it out of authorities notice as it sat for hours awaiting use?
3) Who could have other assets waiting at other places that Nemtzov might have visited, but didn't on that particular day? Alternatively, who could intercept ALL Nemtzov's communications, local and long distance, to know ahead of time that he would be on that bridge near that time on that day?
4) Who could control the truck driver? If a genuine city driver, who could keep him from calling authorities on the spot? Who could keep him quiet? If not a genuine city driver, then who could arrange to have so many people standing by - including a fake snow truck and driver on the POSSIBILITY that Nemtzov was going to be there at that particular time on that particular day.
How many people are involved?
Three we know of: 1) Killer 2) Getaway driver 3) Truck driver (or he would report)
But we can understand that there has to be MANY more involved:
1) Someone to supress cameras on the bridge (unknown number to do this)
2) People at other likely assassination locations on that day. (At least 2 - alternate killer and getaway)
3) People to get the truck (at least 1)
4) People to follow Nemtzov, and people to report his location (At least 3 if for a short period of an hour or two (required to avoid recognition), 5 or more if following longer. Alternatively, fewer followers needed ONLY if you can know where he is precisely...but that requires large scale spying of ALL Nemtzov's local and non-local communications.
People in Number 3 and part of number 4 could be the same as the killer and getaway driver. But the others couldn't. So that means there were AT LEAST SEVEN PEOPLE involved on that day.
The closer you look, the less it looks like a spontaneous hit on short planning, and the more like a long-planned killing. The closer you look the more people and assets are involved.
I suspect the truck and the lack of video from the bridge cameras prove to be the key to the case at the end.
