Apple Reports iTunes, App Stores "Unavailable For All Users"

Tyler Durden's picture

After the less than enthusiastic reception for the iWatch, more bad news for Apple. From Reuters:

  • APPLE SAYS APP STORE, MAC APP STORE AND ITUNES STORE SERVICES UNAVAILABLE FOR ALL USERS
  • APPLE SAYS CUSTOMERS MAY BE UNABLE TO MAKE PURCHASES FROM THE APP STORE, ITUNES STORE, IBOOKS STORE, OR MAC APP STORE

More details from TechRadar:

Apple's digital stores - the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store and Mac App Store - are experiencing some pesky technical problems right now.

Apple has updated its service status page to reflect that "all users are affected" by the problem. It was also having issues with iCloud account sign-ins, which now seems to be fixed, but users are still experiencing problems with purchasing items on its stores.

So if you're having issues with any of these services, fear not, you're not alone. We'll update as we know more.

And the confirmation from Apple:

One wonders if Apple forgot to "pay its NSA fees" this month?

Ironically, Apple's ad may not been far from the truth, since IBM tabulated census data in Nazi Germany. Some say it facilitated the holocaust.

Has anything changed really? Other than punch cards? What if the intent of all this technology is to track of people, real-time?

Obama will say this is an attack on Apple and is an act of war.

Apple is not cool anymore. When something becomes too popular, it eventually goes out of style through market saturation and ppl grow tired of it. Ppl want to be unique because they are wired to be individuals.

When it rains it pours Apple!

Ppl want to be unique because they are wired to be individuals.

And this is why collectivism, in all its various forms, is doomed to fail.

However, H. Sapiens is a social animal, after a fashion, so true anarchy is a no go, as well. It devolves into Thunderdome, and Law of the Jungle.

It's by no means perfect, but true libertarianism is the best possible path for mankind as a whole. Fortunately, mankind as a whole appears to be at least starting to wake up to this truth.

That's why the psychopaths in power are scrambling to shut down the free aspects of the Internet, while the MSM is cranking up the volume on the disinformation campaign. For all their delusions of Deity, deep down inside, those parasites in power suits know that they're just as human as the rest of us - and that they're nhot only outnumbered, but also outmatched by the masses they scorn. They're scared, pure and simple. And a scared animal is truly a dangerous thing.

I disagree.  Most people want to fit in and be told what to think and do.  Very few people are individuals anymore.  People who comment here are the rare exception.

This is a classic example of how inefficient government is.  When you have two US intelligence agencies with the purpose of spying on Americans that are clearly not sharing their technology with each other, the result is the US taxpayer paying twice for the same tools to allow the government to spy on the taxpayer.
