What Americans Think Is The #1 US Problem

Tyler Durden's picture

... it's government.

Gallup adds:

While dissatisfaction with government is by no means a new issue to the American people, it has not in recent months been as clearly the leading problem as it is now, given that fewer Americans mention the economy.

Meanwhile, satisfaction with the direction of the U.S. remains relatively upbeat compared with figures from recent years, but two-thirds of Americans continue to be dissatisfied.

Wow, no surprise there.

Even while many ZHs were blaming banksters,  I reminded them it was GOVERNMENT that gave banksters that power. It was GOVERNMENT that bailed out the banksters.

It is GOVERNMENT that has the power to take your property. It is Government that has the sole monopoly of enforcement. It is Government that regulates and takes away your rights. It is Government that steals you wealth through taxation.

I could go on and on but I think (hope) you get the idea.

Top 10 companies making political donations. Granted, this is old data (2012). And it doesn't include personal donations by individuals employed by various corporations.

1. Las Vegas Sands Corp.

2 Goldman Sachs

3. Comcast Corp

4. AT&T Corp

5. Dreamworks

6. Microsoft

7. Huntsman

8. Honeywell

9. Bank of America

10. Lockheed.

----

I will go against the grain like I have before and have been right the majority of the time. Bankers are necessary. It is the corruption that is the problem. As my list above shows, many industries are heavily donating to political campaigns. Only 2 banks are on the list.

Shall YOU be  hang  if you loan your kid money to buy a car. After all, you are now a banker. Bankers do serve a purpose and a benefit. It is the corruption that is the problem and the non punishment for those corrupt bankers and politicians.

But the bottom line is that it is GOVERNMENT that is corrupt. They take the corporation money. They make the laws. They let the Banksters get away. They bail out the banksters on the taxpayer back. The buck stops with the Government.

Well if you stayed on topic instead of trying to change the subject you would understand why no one but you mentioned unions.

The topic was Government and I reinforced that topic and added the fact that so many blamed banksters when in fact it is Government that empowers banksters.

I await you intelligent reply. And by the way, it doesn't change the fact that a corrupt Government takes that union money.

But Harry Reid said the Koch Brothers own Washington now because Citizens United.    ZHers say it's ziobankster cat jugglers(I'm summing up best I can).  However, In the real world, public sector unions, like the IRS employees union, and so many others, taken together are by far the biggest contributors, and always give to one side, both with their $ contributions and their tender attentions at work.

Many private businesses to some degree are basically paying protection to pols against bad things that might happen to their nice business.   One party in particular has its base in rotten cities where this type of thing is just part of the machiavellic amoral landscape.   The other party doesnt shake down business so much as try to help it, ie create advantages and inadvertently pick winners, and that attracts money from business, carrot style.   Then there is the Elon Musk, Solyndra, corn ethanol, sugar subsidy type of shit.

Read my above post. As shown. In a list of the top 10 corporations donatiing to politican campaigns, only 2 banks make the list. Thus your theory may not be correct.

Banks are an easy target, which is why so  many go after them. And I agree they are corrupt.

But what most do not see is that the bankers corruption is ALLOWED because of government. Thus root of the problem is with GOVERNMENT.

Facts....yeah, whatever pal. If names like Rubin, Summers, Dudley, Geithner, Paulson, Dimon and Blankfein dont ring a bell for you then you are hopelessly ignorant to the power structure within this country (FED, PPT, UST, and TBTF banks). And I didnt change any subject. They are all interconnected with the Wall Street Banksters at the top. The pols in DC are just useful idiots who are bought and paid for by them and nothing else.

Edit: And all the big banks are on the list. While you split hairs on total amounts contributed, you are sadly mistaken as to who is actually running the show in America.

Politicians have a bad habit of sucking cock for money. They are always looking for a hand out from their Johns. They get used to taking handouts for a quickie in the mouth....or out of the mouth...your choice. They will do as crack addicts always do when they run out of the "nuke" on the streets of Detroit. It is who they have become.

Bankers on the other hand have a job to get you to spend your labor sucking dick at the least cost with the most reward to them. Having a printing press enables this. When currencies are backed and sound good currency drives bad eithic out, as the bad are shunned and the good are rewarded, it creates a firewall against this phenomenon.

Where we are now, is due to a complete absence of fiduciary responsibility in the government; first, allowing the banks to create money out of nothing and charge interest on it, then sucking the bankers and corporations cocks for that newly minted money.

I assert another possibility. It is the fault of the people. It is the peoples job to hang hold govt accountable for their actions especially fiduciary responsibility to the people. The people are responsible for peddling the currency and using it, or not using it if it has no value. They also get to choose wether they spend it at this corp bank or that corp bank...unless we are talking about .gov, theres no choice then? When was the last time you saw people take responsibility for their actions around you? When was the last time you saw people from corporations or govt take responsibility for their actions? Since they dont, and we are aware of it ...we must.

I suggest nothing more than a withdrawl of consent and participation in their ponzi circlejerk. The corpro-banker-.gov has all the chips at the poker table. When does the citizen decide that the game is bullshit and walk away? They could walk away and choose another monetary exchange unit leaving corpro-banker-.gov with alot of worthless chips. TPTB know this and thats why competing currencies are illegal. Keeps the fascist monopoly rolling.

Want some practice? Barter with your community instead of spending plantation scripts. Grow a garden. Learn a trade. Build a community. Shut off the TV. Spotlight parasites.

The government had the sole power of the time to print (mint). Thus your link isn't factual. Even today, the Government has the power to mint and give that power to other entities such as the FRB. The government in 1893 didn't have to have JP step in, just like it didn't need anyone to bail out Bear Stearns. In fact, I think most of us think Bear Stearns should have just gone under with no help from anyone, especially tax payers.

The commonality is in all that is GOVERNMENT.  Why have we had all these economic busts before these big banks? Can you blame JP or Goldman Sachs for depressions before those banks even existed?

This would be the "virtual" folks who don't know the difference between virtual and real world values.  Anymore it seems when the White House folks don't know what to do, we get another selfie on Twitter.  Yesterday we had the Head of HHS Secy and the Surgeon General posting those selfies and just as proud as can be (grin).  It's really sad that they can't step outside and see themselves how  the rest of us do and it's that "Sebelius Syndrome" of whacky perceptions that continues to make a mess of things with confusing virtual and real world values.

http://ducknetweb.blogspot.fr/2014/03/virtual-worlds-real-world-we-have.html

There's tons more afflicted by the Sebelius Syndrome than we even know about, here's some and it's darn scary.

If you go back to the Healthcare conversation about the Supreme court, read the articles and keep in mind many were probably written by bots as the one company that provides this software said over a billion articles were written last year using their technology.  Even the New York Times wrote about the Journobots a few days ago.  When you give this some thought, this is the next "rig" as the parameters can be set to fire off an article to the SIP when "a stock price reaches a certain level, or when....."  you fill in the blanks.  So here you go, with the power of Journobots, keep an eye out on the news you read as the news bots will be programmed to interact with the exchange bots.  Nanex and I had this conversation month ago too.  If there's a rig option available, they'll use it.

Government has not figured this option out yet, and thus so we see the results you posted here:)

Hard to know the truth of the matter yet.  Some people believe Ron and Rand are both instruments of the dark side, their job being to lead a fractured America into the arms of the new Luciferian golden global bank.  Certainly Mises was on the payroll, despite all the excellent analysis he provided.  Gold will not slay vampires.

I guess all will be revealed.  We are in an apocalypse (which originally meant, simply, "awakening").  Whether it's gonna be a scorched Earth scenario, I really believe that's up to God at this point.  It doesn't hurt to pray for everybody, even that your enemies might turn and repent.

Every election has a 100% turnout. In the case you cite, 32.7% voted for A or B. 67.3% voted for "I'm fine with whatever you guys decide".

Except in metropolitan areas where the turnout typically exceeds 100%.

The "people" have a long way to go before anyone could consider them as waking up. The U.S. government is clearly just a piece of property, whose property managers are embedded in the military/intelligence/industrial complex. These guys no doubt think of themselves as belonging to the inner circle, but who, in turn, take their cues directly from those who really own said complex: those handfull of men deep within the banking system (where the $trillionaires live).

There is in fact, more than sufficient evidence and logical inference to suspect the existence of a singular puppet master at the very apex of the pyramidal food chain.

I'd really like to see the poll --not to mention the organizational chart-- for THAT possibility : ) ...but I'm not holding my breath.

If he's the one driving low government approval ratings how come he is at 46% and Congress is below 20?

Thu, 03/12/2015 - 15:40 | 5882679 tarabel

1) Approximately half of the country does not like the Congressional party in power at any given time. This puts the max approval ceiling closer to 50 than 100 percent at any given point in time.

2) Of the 50 percent that approves in a general way that their supposed partisans are in power, a substantial number of them remain disappointed that their champions are not getting anything accomplished. This cuts the number way down out of that 50 percent.

So there is a combination of the satisfaction/dissatisfaction ratio with the getting things done/gridlock ratio and the net result is always these very low ratings for Congress as an institution.

Find the common denominator of these 3 questions and you will have your answer.

1. Who runs the banking system?

2. Who runs the Media system?

3. Who runs the Government, Treasury or Tax collecting system?

Once you figure out the answer will also figure out that you can't and won't do ANYTHING.
