With 45 Beheadings In 2015 – "US Ally" Saudi Arabia Set To Top 2014's Record Decapitation Level

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

One of last year’s most popular posts was titled: Record Beheadings and the Mass Arrest of Christians – Is it ISIS? No it’s Saudi Arabia. Here’s an excerpt:

In the past month, a group of radical Islamic extremists based in the Middle East beheaded at least 23 people and enforced a ban on Christianity by arresting a group of people for practicing the faith in a private home.

No, I’m not talking about ISIS. The real culprit is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the America’s closest global allies.

I have highlighted the inhumanity of the Saudi regime frequently recently in order to demonstrate the incredible hypocrisy of U.S. foreign policy. While America’s phony politicians and useless mainstream media will often hype anti-Chrtistian bigotry and humanitarian issues when it suits the status quo message, the true driver of U.S. foreign policy can be summarized with two words: CORPORATE PROFITS.

It appears last year’s jump in beheadings was just the beginning for the Saudi monarchy, which follows a form of Sharia Islamic law in which one can be put to death for rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking. In case you aren’t familiar with the term “apostasy,” here’s the definition from Merriam-Webster.

Screen Shot 2015-03-16 at 3.30.10 PM

In 2015 to-date, the Saudis have averaged a little over one beheading every 48 hours, putting the latest tally at 45. Last year, they were only able to hit 87, but are clearly trying to make up for lost time. The Telegraph reports that:

A man convicted of murder was beheaded in the Saudi capital on Monday, amid a steep rise in the number of executions in the ultra-conservative Gulf kingdom this year.

The beheading of Saad bin Abdullah al-Jadid, who had shot dead fellow Saudi Abdullah bin Faraj al-Gahtani, took to 45 the number of executions since January 1, according to an AFP count.

Saudi Arabia has carried out around 80 executions annually since 2011, with 87 recorded last year by AFP.

Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia’s version of Sharia Islamic law.

Earlier this month, it was reported Raif Badawi, the Saudi blogger sentenced to 1,000 lashes after being convicted of insulting Islam, could face death by beheading, according to his family.

The case attracted worldwide condemnation when he was publicly flogged in January. His family said they have been told he is to be tried for apostasy.

While we’re on the topic, just last week the Guardian reported that blogger and human rights activist, Mohammed al-Bajadi, has been sentenced to 10 years in jail. What could he have done, you ask, to justify such a sentence? Well, the Guardian reports that:

A founding member of one of the few independent human rights groups in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, a regional rights group has said.

Mohammed al-Bajadi was sentenced last Thursday by the specialised criminal court in Riyadh, whose jurisdiction is related to terrorism, the Gulf Centre for Human Rights (GCHR) said in a statement on Wednesday.

Bajadi, in his 30s, faced various accusations including acquiring banned books, organising a protest by the families of prisoners and publishing material that “would prejudice public order”, the group said.

The comments came in response to worldwide outrage over the sentence of 1,000 lashes handed to another activist, Raif Badawi, for “insulting Islam”.

The foreign ministry said the country’s constitution “is based on sharia (Islamic law) that guarantees human rights”.

This is one of the American government’s closest global allies.

Naturally, some human rights are more equal than others.

Maybe we can help them out of the eighth century.

We could help them progress a thousand years by introducing them to the eighteenth century guillotine.

Those clumsy swordsmen executioners miss a lot.

There is not much else we can do to fix barbarian Saudi Arabia except turn it into a glass desert parking lot (which would also restore the oil industry).

The Saudis are barbaric and should aspire to the American Christian values of bombing and droning the fuck out countries that have the resources the US wants. Until they are napalming villages, spreading depleted uranium across nations, killing 500,000 children who were "worth it", they will forever be medieval Muslim fucks.

Anyone here think slicing through a neck with a sword is somehow more loathsome that dropping a bomb from an air conditioned plane, from 30000 ft.

No, I didn't think so.

"You do realise of course that if you are against Saudi beheadings you are an anti-semite"

CH1 has 3 fatal flaws:

1. He'll sieze on ANY opportunity, however flimsy, to point a finger at what many would consider atrocities, perpetrated by a culture OTHER than his pet favorite.

2. His 'pet favorite, in this case, [regime wise], are actually 'crypto jews' [Wahhabi's, under the onion skins, are much the same as Khazars in a behavioral sense, adopting only the aspects which allow them to sidestep things] ~ lol

3. WTF is the difference between 'BEHEADINGS' [which feast on the 'GRUESOME' emotion factor], or the hundreds of millions who suffer & die otherwise in a world of counterfeit money printers, endless war machines, & propaganda.

I'll invite any questioning of the <ABOVE> reasoning by persons whose ultimate destination can avoid idiot ad hominem attacks... Otherwise, I'll kindly ask you to STFU... Thank You in advance for your cooperation.

A German who was a grown up in the 1930,s perhaps ? Anyway these days it seems with a fresh look at revisionist history sans victors propaganda, far more and greater attrocities were commited against the Germans than by them. Dresden , greatest mass murder in a single day in history, the mass gang rapes of just about any female including children in Germany at the end of the war by Soviet and American troops. the delierate murder of at least 1.2 million German POW,s by the war criminal Eisenhauer , need I go on ...

Choosing which atrocities to condemn and which to be OK with is a personal choice.

A person's choices say a lot about them

Personally, my thinking is that deliberately causing the death of another human being who wasn't trying to hurt/kill you and yours is a bad thing.

I may not agree with you, but it's not my place to tell anyone what to think or believe, but please folks, think about things as if the consequences of your decisions were to be applied to you. It's a good test, IMHO.

I am reading a book titled "Zealot" about Jesus.  The Sicarii are mentioned in that book.  They were one of many groups which rebelled against the Romans - and against the Priests, who ran the Temple under the watchful eyes of the Romans and who also collected taxes for the Romans.  Apparently, a "sicari" was a dagger, and the Sicarii liked to assassinate people using daggers, because the Sicarii could sneak up in the crowd, make one quick slash, and sneak away again.  A Sicarii actually sneaked up and killed the High Priest with a dagger, right in the Temple, and slipped away.  Of course, the Romans eventually got fed up and went on a retributional butchering rampage, which was Standard Operating Procedure for dealing with rebellions.

Rape and murder are such heinous acts that if you are going to hold somebody responsible, you had best be sure that you are holding the actual person who committed those acts responsible.  Swift justice is not congruent with this.  I'd rather let guilty people go and then defend myself against them than have a state that applies swift justice.  A swift trial, yes, but swift "justice" is something that will all too often be unjust.

People get pissed off at judges, but, IMO, prosecutors are a much bigger problem.  There is a lot of unjust shit that is never witnessed by the judges because of how prosecutors do things.  Most people who are faced with risking 20 years in prison vs accepting 2 years of probation for a crime that they didn't commit are going to take the sure thing, i.e. the plea deal, and prosecutors are fond of putting people in that position.  A lot of prosecutors don't give a shit about actual guilt or innocence, they just want that conviction.  A lot of judges don't understand this, and figure that no innocent person would confess to a crime that he didn't commit without seeing the viciousness of the prosecutors behind closed doors.

Collateral damage is considered OK by the system. Judges aren't there to change they legal system, they are there to operate it.

As long as the masses of iPhone junky feministas don't have to fear getting raped, who cares if a few innocent men go to prison? Nobody cares that a few innocent men are driven out of their minds by our society and led to risk their freedom committing rape to begin with, after all. The system isn't there because we care about others; it's there to protect ourselves, to make us feel safer and superior, and to punish those who we deem (whether rightly or not, and to what degree their own fault vs. bad luck vs. driven to it by us) did something that we decided to outlaw.

Is there really any difference between a criminal and a wrongly convicted man? Both are just unlucky persons who we punish. They are unlucky in slightly different ways, is all (one got to enjoy raping someone before going to prison, they other was a law-abiding sheeple who suddenly had his perceptions of the world around him shattered by a misunderstanding that rendered him the collateral damage when previously he thought that he was on the "good" side of the law).

Judges are like anybody else.  Some of them are crooked, and some of them would be appalled if they saw some of the shit that prosecutors pulled.  In many cases, they would have the authority to stop some fucked up things from happening, but if it never comes across their bench, they cannot do much about it.  We have an adversarial legal system, and if you don't raise the issue for the court, it is rare that the court will even consider it.  This is where the legal system can fuck people hard.  It is your responsibility to raise the issue, and if you do not, the judge can let you get fucked and he has still done his job.

Our legal system is built on the premise that a little collateral damage is OK. You may disagree with that premise, but that's the way it is and there would be no way to punish anyone at all if we didn't permit a little collateral damage because it's generally impossible to know for sure whether someone is guilty or not. Instead, we use a statistical and democratic method where some people vote on whether to punish others based on how their emotions were manipulated by the trial.

If you still want punishment but you don't accept this system, then I'm going to assume that you just want to be the judge, jury, and executioner yourself.

The US has the largest prison population in the world.  I'm pretty sure that there's more than just a little collateral damage, and that's not OK.  I'd rather have to defend myself against a monster than to throw an innocent person in prison.

There are various possible reasons for that. Maybe Americans commit more crimes. Maybe the government enforces more crimes. Maybe the punishments for crimes are worse/longer. Maybe the government restricts freedoms more and defines more things as crimes. Finally, there's the one you mentioned: maybe we are too loose in our convictions, too eager to make someone pay for a "crime"....

I'm not sure which or which combination is to blame. :-)

The last time Congressional Research Services was asked to count how many federal crimes there were, they told Congress to pound sand because they couldn't do it. The time before that, they got up to about 10,000, then figured out that all of the cross references between the USC and the CFR made counting any further too complex of a venture for them to complete. That's just federal crimes.

Chapter 30 of my state's laws is the criminal code, and that has 57 sections, each section listing off multiple crimes, and there are crimes peppered throughout the other 76 chapters in state law, and I'm in a young state with a small population. That doesn't even get into state regulations. Fortunately, cities aren't allowed to make any criminal laws with a punishment greater than that of a misdemeanor, else that would be horrendous too.

We have a lot of things that are considered criminal and we sure like to punish people for them without any thought given to the unintended consequences.

Reposting something I posted in a previous thread:

Laws exist to restrict freedom, for the sake of defending and solidifying power, and crime breaks laws and and expresses freedom. Those who support limiting crime are those who support restricting freedom (because it would happen to increase their own power or safety more than it would hurt them). Most of us (definitely most ZH members) are interested in restricting freedom. (Anyone who idealizes any social, political, moral, or economic system, or who believes any laws should exist, etc, falls into this group.) Most of us simply disagree on what restrictions should be in place, because the ones that are currently in place are not in our favor as much as the ones we dream for. Of course if our favored rules were in place, there'd simply be a different group in the shadows fighting against them while we were in the spotlight. We should be careful not to become too powerful and to know the value of having enemies, lest we destroy our enemies and ourselves in the process.

Rape or murder are not particularly "heinous" crimes, they are just actions that are slandered and thought of very negatively and intensely feared by they the majority of our society. Yet to some people, they are the best or only actions possible, even if they come with a life sentence because only the powers that be are "allowed" to rape and kill (by their own decree) (if not physically, then economically, mentally, or otherwise). In different places or times rape and killing were not considered so horrible or even considered as rewards earned by the victors. That they are "crimes" is merely a bias. That crime needs to be "punished" another bias.

Libertarians are not serious people. Their whole philosophy is based on non violence and property rights. But say, how could you have property rights without violence?

Property rights were created the first time a hunter-gatherer cleared a field to farm some sweet potatoes. It was a lot of work and pretty pointless if any other gatherer could just come and pick up the tubers while he slept. He made a deal with some friends to keep an eye on the field and discourage anyone from taking the crops. In exchange, they would get part of it.

Thus a parcel in a native forest became private property and the first soldiers came into being.

During the French Revolution, some said, at the time, severed heads from those who met Madame la Guillotine showed signs of still being aware.

Here, then, is what I was able to note immediately after the decapitation: the eyelids and lips of the guillotined man worked in irregularly rhythmic contractions for about five or six seconds. This phenomenon has been remarked by all those finding themselves in the same conditions as myself for observing what happens after the severing of the neck ...
I waited for several seconds. The spasmodic movements ceased. [...] It was then that I called in a strong, sharp voice: "Languille!" I saw the eyelids slowly lift up, without any spasmodic contractions – I insist advisedly on this peculiarity – but with an even movement, quite distinct and normal, such as happens in everyday life, with people awakened or torn from their thoughts.
Next Languille's eyes very definitely fixed themselves on mine and the pupils focused themselves. I was not, then, dealing with the sort of vague dull look without any expression, that can be observed any day in dying people to whom one speaks: I was dealing with undeniably living eyes which were looking at me. After several seconds, the eyelids closed again [...].
It was at that point that I called out again and, once more, without any spasm, slowly, the eyelids lifted and undeniably living eyes fixed themselves on mine with perhaps even more penetration than the first time. Then there was a further closing of the eyelids, but now less complete. I attempted the effect of a third call; there was no further movement – and the eyes took on the glazed look which they have in the dead.

Washington DC's Zionists and Neoconservative Empire Builders will lie in bed with anyone who they think can further the growth of Washington's power. We have seen it time and time again. After World War II, large groups of Hitler's Nazis were collected and brought to the United States to help build a modern Military Industrial Complex, and to set the space projects 25 years into the future. Nazi design teams built all the rockets for the US space program up until the 1980's.

But that was not so bad, compared to Washington's growing support for Islamic Jihad around the world. The idea was to build this radical Islamic movement around the world and direct it to attack nations the US did not like. The first use was in Afghanistan when we built the Taliban from nothing into the fighting force that threw the USSR out of Afghanistan. Arguably a good idea, but these morphed into Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, became the government of Afghanistan. We went to Libya and supported ISIS and Al-Qaeda in their take over of Libya. We armed funded and trained the ISIS and Al-Qaeda that we supported to attack Syria. In Iraq, we turned the most dangerous place in the world for radical Islam, into a home base for every sort of terror.

Saudi Arabia is the Zionists right hand man. They provide the money and the secret services that are the core of US Islamic Jihad movement. Where the CIA dare not go, the Saudi intelligence does go, and does what is ordered by Neoconservative Washington DC. The US seeks to use radical Islamic Jihad all over the world, they aim to attack Russia and China with the Jihadiat armies they are building. Syria is still under attack by America's Jihadists. Saudi Arabia provided the service of 9/11 which allowed our entire nation to be turned into a police state. When we need terror, we turn to the Saudis!

One last thing. Why, with all the Islamic terror armies there now are in the world, ISIS, Al-Queda, Taliban and dozens of smaller Jihadist groupings, WHY do they always seem to attack leaders and nations the USA and Israel do not like? Islamic terror is almost exclusively a tool of western interests. Israel is never attacked, not by these so called threats . We hear 24/7 about the threat of radical Islam. yet they never touch Israel, and only touch the USA when a false flag is needed to justify more military and police actions on home soil.

Funny how this great Islamic threat seems to work hand in glove with Washington and Tel Aviv. We American people do not support Islam, yet our leaders do. We have a right to ask why.
